When visiting the Old faithful I returned back to my car which was smoking, like crazy. (I left it on and running with AC for my dogs) Luckily we were stopped here and not elsewhere in the park as Grant Village Auto Repair was walking distance!Being two young girls and their dogs on a road trip we were quite weary of going to a mechanic and feeling taken advantage of but that was absolutely NOT the case here. The mechanic (Vinny) was out on a tow so we had to wait. The staff (Andrew, Veronica and Darian) were incredibly kind to both of us and the two dogs - they gave the dogs water and let them hangout in the corner of the store as it was so, so hot out.We cannot express how much this means to us.Vinny was quick to diagnose the issue in my car as a Radiator fan quitting out, unfortunately Nissan owned the right to the part so we had to continue on with direction from Vinny on how to get to our destination safely!Thank you everyone!

I was worried when I showed up that the prices for an oil change in the national park were going to be astronomical. Not only was the price of the oil and parts at online market value, but they charged me for 12$ of labor!! Probably the most honest mechanic shop I ve been too (especially compared to some of the jackson mechanics I ve been to the last few years). If you have the opportunity or need mechanic work, I would give these guys the highest of recommendations - their honesty and work integrity stands far above the rest. Thanks boys for the great, efficient, and cost effective work! I ll be back the next time my car needs something- The guy with the Red Expedition MaxService: Oil change

I was visiting Yellowstone and unfortunately had some problems with my van. The employees here were extremely helpful. I had to stay here for 5 days while waiting for a part. The employees let me camp out in my van right next to the repair shop. I felt very safe and they were very accommodating along with the general store employees! Thank you for everything!

Thanks to Jeremy, my partner and I were swiftly put back on the road after addressing our check engine light issue and stalling vehicle. If it wasn't for him going above and beyond to call around to find the part we needed, and even finding a way to get it to us from Jackson, we would have lost days off our trip or had to spend nearly $1000 for a tow. Because of him, we were back on the road the same night. Incredible customer service, diligence and dedication. Thank you again, Jeremy!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are amazing!! (Also want to compliment park services) We had broke down in middle of park. They had us towed to garage in less than an hour. Gerard, our tow driver was not only good but lightened the spirits of our teenagers. At the garage, Brandon not only figured out the shifting problem we had but help come up with a tool to get the shifter unlocked. We were on our way in less than an hour and our trip was saved. Repair delayed until we were back home. What a Godsend these guys are to vacationers at Yellowstone. Thanks again.

Wow, what an absolute life saver this place was! We broke down on our drive across the country and luckily limped in to this gem. Who knew there would not only be an auto shop in Yellowstone but one with the nicest, most helpful mechanic I have ever dealt with. Our trip was saved thanks to these guys and the price was very reasonable. Can't thank them enough!Service: Engine repair

I don't write many reviews, but these guys deserve one. Upon arrival at the Grant Village campground, I discovered grease splattered out of one of the wheel hubs of my brand new travel trailer (thank goodness for warranties). Took off the hubcap and discovered the mangled remains of a wheel bearing. I was convinced this was going to be a nightmare to get fixed in the middle of the park, and it started out that way, with the warranty center, Good Sam, and the park services all recommending mobile techs that were hours away. One of them finally recommended calling these guys, right in Grant Village. Brandon was out to diagnose our problem within ten minutes, seriously. He was awesome, drove back and forth to the Fishing Bridge service center for parts and got us fixed up that same night.Word in the park seems to be that for RV repairs you need to talk to the Fishing Bridge folks but that simply isn't true. Brandon rocked. Obviously you hope not to need the services of this kind of business while camping in the park, but if you do - don't hesitate to call Grant Village Auto Repair.
