Cabins and RV hookups, with a restaurant on site that backs up to the Shoshone River. Perfect location and a wonderful staff. The rustic atmosphere was very relaxing and much appreciated. And the stars at night are truly amazing.Would love to buy the place so I could stay here permanently.

Great place to stay! You ll see more stars at night than ever before! The owners Kenyon and Beth Kyle are great people and will take care of you. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have the lodge and cabins. Plenty of choices but book early because they stay busy!! Restaurant and bar are great place to hang out as well as the front porch and the back deck. You ll love it! Four of us were on a trip exploring the west and the traveling between our last stop and Wapiti Lodge was the longest so far. We finally arrived around 7:30 in the evening feeling a bit weary and hungry. When we walked in, Kenyon welcomed us with a smile and assured us the restaurant was such a relief as we were looking forward to a bit of relaxation. He told us what we needed to know about the property and as a bonus, there was a trail where we could walk down to the edge of the river. Two of us parked our cars while the other two went to the restaurant to get seats and order beverages. When we met them, we told them about the room - which was spacious, clean, and looked comfortable. Our server came right over and 3 of us ordered the special of the night: Shrimp scampi with alfredo pasta, and topped with my personal favorite- roasted tomatoes, all made by Chef Pac. Even if you don't stay at the lodge, you need to eat there! :)After dinner, we made our way to the room to unpack and get ready for the next day's adventures. On one of my trips to the car, I noticed the smell of campfire smoke, so my brother-in-law and I ventured over. The staff had a fire going and when we got close, they all invited us to join them. It was such a welcome end to the day to sit and talk with everyone by the fire, learn a bit about each other, and just relax. We also met Beth, Kenyon's wife, who was also very welcoming and gave us some tips on visiting Yellowstone.I highly recommend staying at Wapiti Lodge. If you want to get away from the highly crowded touristy areas and really get to know and see the area you are visiting, this is the place to stay.

First let me start by saying I am a Lifetime Gold Elite member with Marriott.Never have I experienced such true hospitality as we did from the owners and staff at the Wapiti Lodge. I am not just talking about nice and pleasant people, this was true caring for their guests. When I called to book the hotel, I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 25th Anniversary.. They took it upon themselves to have fresh wild flowers, and a nice welcome gift with a card. This type of hospitality and true caring is something that gets missed in most of today's hotels.Thank you to everyone at Wapiti Lodge for a great and memorable part of our Anniversary trip.

We had a unforseen change and needed to find a new place to stay the night. Lucky for us The Wapati Lodge had a cancelation and we were able to get the room. It was a King Suite and it was above and beyond expectations, it was called The Grant. The bed was comfortable, shower was amazing, it even had a stove, fridge, microwave, sink and pots, pans and dishes. The owners Beth and her husband listened to our change of plans and were able to get us a deal that we couldnt refuse. This place is right on the river, and has its own resturant, we didnt need to go back to Cody to eat. Very affordable menu . They had a nice contenential breakfast, which was also surprise. This was our first time staying here, mainly due to they are always booked, which tells you right there this is a special place. Owner take pride in this property and maintain it. Very clean and quite( right on highway) and you dont here traffic. They have sitting area and deck just off of resturant that overlooks the river, NICE and relaxing. My wife and I will be coming back soon. Will plan ahead so we wont have to be lucky to get a room. To Beth and her husband(sorry couldnt remember his name. Thank you so much. You both are amazing and cant thank you enough. See you soon (from Cheyenne)Rooms: Room was King suite had a small kitchen. Bed was amazing and shower also. Was more then expected.

Stayed in the Grant Room for three nights while visiting the eastern side of Yellowstone. Room, bathroom and kitchenette were VERY clean. Owner was nice and friendly, and always accommodating when we had to ask for something. Thought the space we had was quite large for a studio, which made relaxing in the evenings after a long day in the park nice. Overall, a good value near Yellowstone.Kitchen could use a few more essentials: paper towels, cooking spoon, napkins. Walls are thin since it s an older building, but the in-unit AC helped drown out any noise. And we didn t have any issues with noise during quit hours. Other than that, though, no complaints!Would stay again!

Wow! We stayed in the sportsman cabin and LOVED it! What a nice space on the Shoshone River. Close to Cody, WY and breathtaking but not too long of a drive to Yellowstone s East entrance. The owner and all of the staff do whatever it takes to provide a warm relaxing experience. We forgot our binoculars outside one morning before heading into Cody. We called Kenyon, the owner, who retrieved them for us. Above and beyond, indeed! Fond and unforgettable memories of Wapiti Lodge

If I could give it 10 stars, I would! Hands down, the very best place we stayed at on our trip out west. Nothing else we stayed even came close to comparing. If going to Yellowstone, stay on the east side, as the west was extremely expensive and crowded. This Lodge has incredible views, a really nice restaurant and bar on-site with darts and a pool table. Again, the views are priceless!

Very nice family run business. We had one of the separate cottages with a kitchen. Clean and beds were comfortable. Could have been updated a bit but overall nice and cozy. Great views out back by the Shoshone River. Staff was very friendly. Nice restaurant and bar in main building. The Cook, I think his name is Josh did an incredible job on the BBQ. And we played a game of pool after dinner.

We just had a Family Trip of 14 (7 adults & 7 children) that centered around The Historic Wapiti Lodge, Cody WY, and Yellowstone. It was awesome and all had a terrific time! Wapiti Lodge was soooo hospitable and made all feel at home! Day trips and day activities were easy to arrange. Food was easy to find and very good. All in all it was a terrific trip!

Amazing owners/family/waitstaff. We had an issue with our reservation (through a 3rd party website) and the owners were very quick to fix the issue; going above and beyond expectations! The location is very convenient for getting to Yellowstone and the views are incredible. The restaurant/bar, along with the other guests and the staff, was wonderful. I would certainly recommend staying here for anyone passing through...although I could very well see making it a destination.

My family recently had the privilege to stay at Wapiti Lodge in Wapiti, WY. We did a ski and stay package and it was amazing! When we arrived a breakfast basket with bagels, yogurt and apples was waiting in our fridge. The rustic cabins were clean, with great kitchen space, great coffee, nice hot showers, boot warmers, and comfy beds. It was a fun place to stay. This secret gem is a beautiful property with an amazing restaurant/bar. My family could have sat there all night getting to know the new owners Beth and Kenyon taking in the breathtaking views from the wall of windows in the restaurant. The food was amazing! Home made street tacos with smoked brisket, salad bar, and smoked brisket vegetable soup was just what we needed after a fun day of skiing! We finished up the night playing darts as a family! We highly recommended the Wapiti Lodge! It was a very special spring break for our family! Thank you Beth & Kenyon again for your genuine kindness and hospitality it will not be forgotten!

My family of 5 stayed here in the Roosevelt room. We had a stressful day and when we pulled in to Wapiti Lodge the stress melted away! The view was amazing. Our room felt like we were coming home, not staying in a hotel. The beds were super comfy. The owners were great! Beth went above and beyond to assist us and boy! Can she cook! Her food was amazing. Clearly everyone thinks so, the bar/restaurant was packed by guests and locals alike! We even had a few real cowboys ride up on their horses to dine! I would definitely recommend staying here. I told my husband we had to come back!

This is a fantastic place to stay! Clean, friendly, and right Between Cody and Yellowstone We had a suite, spacious and the kitchen would allow you to cook as it was fully stocked. It also had a good breakfast. My hubby said waffles were excellent. I appreciate the cooler they had in the closet. We used on our day trip through Yellowstone.

WOW!! Do not drive by and not stop and stay! This is a gem, stayed in the colter room and was not disappointed at all. Has everything you need from plates, utensils, cups, pots and pans! The room was a true Wyoming experience with a home feel. Dakota was an amazing host and welcomed us with open arms. I will never stay anywhere else besides this place while in Wyoming. 10/10 experience.

Beautiful location about an hour from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Our suite was very clean, well stocked and decorated tastefully in a western style. Our host was friendly and ready to share a beer at their beautiful bar. We had some extra excitement when a large bear decided to visit the property! I would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

We loved our room "Hayden" at the Wapiti lodge. The room was big with two Queen sized beds. A kitchen equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, cooking plate and everything you would need to cook a complete meal if you wanted to. The bathroom was nice and big with plenty of towels. All the furniture was rustic and probably handmade. The room was decorated with lots of lovely and unique pieces. You got a "feel good and homey" feeling when entering the room. The only small complaint was the the A/C was a bit a noisy, but we slept good anyway.I would definitely stay here again

Wonder lodge! We will most certainly be returning to stay longer. The owner and his son were extremely welcoming, accommodating and a pleasure to chat with. The lodge itself is along side the river with incredible views all around. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are clean, rustic and have everything you need! Be sure to eat in the restaurant out back and enjoy a game of horseshoes or cornhole. Best experience thus far!
