Absolutely amazing. Best mechanic I've been to. My family was headed from Arkansas to salt lake Utah when my car would not get up to 65 brought it into g and g and he diagnosed it as transmission needing replaced and had it done with in a day. Absolutely amazing well worth the money spent for the work they did.

I recently encountered a significant issue with my diesel truck when someone mistakenly poured DEF into the diesel tank. Hearing from multiple sources that the entire system might require replacement, I approached G & G Mechanic Shop with a sense of dread, anticipating hefty expenses. However, my experience with Nelson at this establishment completely transformed my expectations. Nelson's dedication was evident as he tirelessly worked on my vehicle, putting in 10-12 hour shifts to rectify the issue. Not only did he manage to fix my truck in less than 24 hours, but he also did so at a price that was very reasonable. Without a doubt, Nelson stands out as the most honest mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I wholeheartedly recommend G & G Mechanic Shop, especially if you're seeking transparency, expertise, and genuine commitment to resolving automotive issues. If google allowed 10 stars it still wouldn t be high enough

We broken down on a road trip coming through Rock Springs and towed our dead car to another mechanic in Rock Springs. After waiting months for answers from the other mechanic service team, I got a recommendation from the local salvage yard to try G&G/Nelson. The other mechanic in town said the engine was blown/needed replacing, but after we towed it to G&G, he determined it was electrical and got it all back and running the next day. Saved us a bunch of money not replacing the engine and got the car back on the road after a really slow/poor experience somewhere else in Rock Springs. We were able to work with him from out of state to get it all done. Highly recommend G&G!

Great service! My alternator went out on my Toyota 4Runner while moving cross-country. These folks found the last replacement part available in town, got my vehicle in same-day and had me back on the road in under two hours! Fantastic! Greatly appreciated. Family-friendly shop

Super nice and helped my partner and I fix our car, 2 days before Xmas! We were doing a 12 hour road-trip and the halfway point was in rock springs when the car broke down. They got us in immediately and fixed our issue for a great price!

Just got my exhaust fixed on my RSX after hitting a major pothole! These guys fit me in immediately due to me being on a cross country road trip! Very very fair pricing and they were kind and listened to my concerns.. ALSO! They're open on Saturday when 90% of all other shops were closed on the weekend! What a godsend!

We were headed home from out west when our engine lost power. We had it towed to G&G, and Nelson promptly diagnosed the problem. We needed to replace the engine. Nelson quoted us a price for the labor plus parts. I located an engine out of California and had it shipped to G&G. When it arrived, Nelson sent me photos of it and some parts that were damaged when it was removed in California. Nelson removed the usable parts from my original engine and used his ingenuity to modify some that were not available locally, saving me extra time waiting on shipping. He could have charged me hundreds if not thousands of dollars nickel-and-diming me for parts and extra labor. When we went to pick it up, he insisted that his quote was his price, charging only for the oil, filter, and some of the hoses I asked him to replace.I am so impressed with his honesty and integrity. He treated us like we were his best customers, not some out of stater that he would probably never see again. If you are in need of a mechanic in or around Rock Springs, I wouldn't use anyone else.

Amazing Mechanics Shop! Came there with a front axle leek problem in my f-350, they took me in fast fixed my truck and I was on my way. Special Thanks to Nelson who kept me in the loop every step! We need more shops like G&G along the interstates!

Could not have asked for a more fair, honest, and efficient experience!Driving through Rock Springs when I had car trouble. Messaged G&G and they were able to get my truck in immediately. Within an hour, I was back on the road. Nelson diagnosed and fixed my broken shock with the speed and precision of a pit crew. I even ended up paying less than the initial estimate as he discovered there were parts that didn t need replacing. I only wish I lived closer so I could make Nelson my go-to mechanics.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I recommend this shop with my heart.On a 700mile trip to Jackson Wyoming, I got stranded at rock springs after a loud noise coming from under my vehicle started.I stop at G&G thanks to a tow truck that stoped next to me when he saw me under my car on the side of the road and told me to go to G&G.Got to G&G not knowing what to expect, but Boe start to work on my problem right away identifying that the problem was the front drive shaft that failed.It got fix in a couple hours, in the meantime I spend time playing with a pup named mu�eca that keep me company all the time.I was back on the road again right away after a couple hours.Boe is an incredible hard worker and kind person.Thanks G&G and thanks a lot Boe.

Go here. We had a myriad of lights suddenly pop up on our dashboard leaving a rest stop near Wamsutter, WY and needed to get to an auto shop ASAP so we could continue our drive to Houston. After lots of searching, we found G&G - which was in the wrong direction but we chose to trust the reviews and gave them a call!They were able to connect us with a tow truck driver who picked us up and drove the 70 miles back to Rock Springs. Upon arrival, the team at G&G jumped into action immediately - checking the codes and getting straight to work. We got there 1 hr before closing; they stayed late, diagnosed and fixed our problem within 1.5 hrs and got us back on the road.Nelson Gonzales and his team are truly the best! While we were there, a little kid rode up on his bike because he was having trouble with the back brake and one mechanic stopped to help him out - another testament to the good nature of every person we interacted with at this shop. They can fix anything!If this place existed in TX, I would make them my go to shop in an instant. This is truly a family business, doing good work and not taking advantage of stranded travelers. I appreciate them so much!

We are Canadians who were traveling across the US from the West coast to Colorado when our truck had a major wheel bearing/spindle failure near Rock Springs. We got it towed into G&G, and before it was off the hook and on the jackstands, Boe had it all apart and had the plan figured out for our repair. Sourcing parts was a problem, so we left the vehicle there and continued out trip. Boe kept us informed with constant communication including photos, and upon our return the vehicle was ready to go, including a brand new tire to replace the one damaged during the failure.The service, price, and quality of our repair was first class, and specifically Boe is an exemplary mechanic and highly recommended.Service: Brake service & repair

After experiencing two days of our engine light coming on and off crossing Wyoming we were fortunate to find G&G open on Saturday. The owner Nelson and his staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Had our truck fixed with in 4 hours and we were back on the road. So thankful for this business and their professionalism.

Great mechanic shop and very quick to help! We needed help close to their closing time. We dropped off the car expecting to get a quote the next day. About an hour later they called and said they were done fixing the car and were able to do more than expected for a very affordable price! Amazing!!

Probably the best experience I ve had at a shop. Starting getting some bad vibration while driving through an hour away from rock springs. Called the shop and Nelson agreed to take a look at it. Pulled in just before 5pm and he identified a bad u joint and had the part in and replaced all within 2 hours. Absolutely saved my road-trip. This is the place to go in Rock Springs

Some of the nicest guys around. I broke down in this town and they were the only ones open. Towed the car in just 30 minutes, gave us a ride to the Avis at the airport, and even disposed of my check books I had accidentally left in the car after I had sold it to them because my engine needed to be entirely replaced (it was sold for scrap at this point). I would highly recommend them.

Our van broke down just as we were entering Rock Springs, and G&G was the only place open on a Saturday. We rolled into his place and he was very friendly! When he looked at our van, he quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to get us back on the road a few hours later for a very reasonable price. He's got a hilarious dead pan sense of humor! Nelson did an amazing job with my 2016 VW Tiguan! Had a coolant leak and the check engine light turned on it was Thanksgiving at 5pm and took me in with a smile he solved the coolant leak very quickly and professionally at a very reasonable cost.

Cooling system This shop and his tow service/staff were amazing. The staff: is a family owned establishment. The lead mechanic saved me a lot of cash and was very knowledgable; determined to get me back on the road. I felt like part of the family and safe at a vulnerable time. The shop was warm and clean. I was stranded in sub zero conditions. They took me in and had me driving before dinner time. I cannot thank you guys enough. I really appreciate your efforts and I really wish you all the best. If anyone sees this please help this family stay in business they do deserve it and do awesome work. I give this place 5 stars and

Nelson at G and G was an incredible life saver . Our family road trip took a hit when our belt failed us 3 hrs from destination, Nelson didn t hesitate to squeeze us into his schedule to ensure we were able to get back on the road safely. He had us repaired in under an hour, and even offered to drop everything and come pick us up an hour away when we couldn t figure out how to tow car and also get my wife and daughter to the shop. Can t say enough about him and the service. If you are anywhere nearby highly recommend. Thank you guys!!!

We've used this shop in the past for repairs and appreciated their prices. The last few times we have taken vehicles in, we have found that it has taken longer and longer to get our vehicles fixed. Communication from the shop about the progress is sparce and only given after multiple attempts to contact them by phone and text. We just picked up our vehicle, which has been at the shop for over 3 months and had not even been looked at. I recommend not using this shop unless you don't mind waiting an unreasonably long time for completion.

G&G was a everything I needed. I was driving from Colorado to Washington when my engine overheated. I ended up leaving the car at G&G. Nelson was super helpful and understanding when talking with my dad about our plans. He kindly let us leave the car there until we were ready to move forward with the engine replacement. Nelson and Boe received the engine shipment, and communicated with my dad who was out of state.When I came to pick up the car, Boe went through everything with me and was very kind. Great team that saved us in the middle of our cross country move. I was able to get in same day and have a knocker sensor replaced within 2 hours. My husband and I were traveling from Maine to Seattle to our new home, and our truck started to make a noise. Brought it to him and Nelson was able to replace the part and fix it within 30 minutes so we could get back on the road. We were traveling to California and broke down in Rock Springs. Checked many shops and ended up at G & G. Nelson was so helpful. He was able to get us back on the road in 2 days when other shops said it would be a week. They even gave us a ride to our hotel. Ended up sending one of his guys after the part we needed to get us back on the road sooner. Great service and prices. We would highly recommend this shop.Service: Transmission

My family vacation was saved by Nelson and his team at G&G. Wheel bearing went out 1000 miles from home with 4 kids in the car. They helped arrange a tow and replaced the parts when all other shops were closed.
