I booked a pet friendly motel online for $48. Upon arrival I was told I looked familiar & treated disrespectfully. I had stayed a night at a Wyndham hotel the night before in Rapid City SD (TERRIBLE experience) I had never been to this motel before in Rawlins. Considering I was staying at another Wyndham hotel, I quickly recognized there was notes in their system about my previous stay in Rapid City. I was told I needed to pay an additional $25 per dog per night to stay. I booked online & It was stated on my confirmation itinerary email "there will be NO additional fees or charges for the room". My stay for 1 night would've doubled. BEWARE only pet friendly if you would like your nightly rate to go up upon arrival.Noteworthy details: Front desk manager was disrespectful from the time I walked in the motel.

Dirty rooms. There was a LARGE piece of fuzz on one of the pillows. The chair was broken and I about fell on the floor when I sat down. There s no battery in the smoke alarm. The AC/Heat unit may be possessed. The soda machines were empty. The breakfast is disgusting and cold. The waffle batter was so runny that it was unusable. This is the second time I ve stayed here. Both times have been similar experiences. I hope it s my last.

The desk clerk initially seemed nice, but later denied a late checkout (normally included as a diamond member). Room "upgrade" was provided, however, the couchette in the 206 suite was stained so badly in multiple places that nobody would dare sit on it.All beakfast food is stale (e.g., cereal, biscuits). One cleaner, in a black leather jacket, attempted entry with her key without knocking, two hours before normal checkout at 11am (on a previous visit a few days ago). Very odd.Walkability: There is a rundown bar within walking distance. Nothing else nearby.

The room was filthy! I have gone to other Microtel hotels and had a great experience. This one was disgusting. The shower curtain and sides of shower is orangish/ yellow from mildew. The base of the tube is orange and dirty. The shower curtain rods is coming out of the wall. The base of the sink and tub were yellow and dirty. The window seat cushions are stained. The light in the bathroom is gone. It was late, I had driven over 12 hours and was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I thought I was going to a place with a decent reputation. When I was getting ready in the morning I noticed how disgusting the room was. I went to the manager and he seemed disinterested. When I said I was heading out but wanted him to know about the repair he shrugged and said, "yeah, o.k." for warning, this place looks nice only on the outside. The only benefit was the location, right off the freeway. However, there are ample hotels in the area and I will not return to this one.

The service and location were great. No complaints there. But our room was dirty. The couch has visible stains all over and we ended up using one of the sheets as a couch cover. The sink is so high that it was difficult to use.

Once and done. Will NEVER stay here again. From the room to the breakfast, one star is generous. Room was dirty, stains and filth on chair seat and cushions was so bad I had to use towels to cover them before I could sit down. Breakfast bar had three items in the hot tray, but it was left off and the sausage gravy, eggs and sausages were all cold. No one keeping the area clean . Just gross. Someone else must ve thought the mini donuts were stale or gross as well because they took a bite and returned it.

It was the most disgusting hotel I ve ever stayed at. The elevator had grease smeared everywhere and looked like it hadn t ever been wiped down. The rooms has mold and stains everywhere. The counters hadn t been wiped down and there was smudges and hand prints on every mirror and window. I will never stay there again. I was with 3 co workers and everyone had the same experience.

Dirty roomsBed had hair and something red on it. Counters were sticky, and all the towels were dirty. The 2 rooms were gross. They wouldn't give us a different room, and the room was already paid for. I didn't feel comfortable eating breakfast there. We won't be back

We spent the night on our way to visit family in the Denver area. We checked in late, but were quickly greeted by Nick, the owner. Our room was located in a very convenient spot for transporting our suitcases. The hotel location is right off the freeway, but is not close to other hotels in town. We were pleasanly surprised to see a very clean room with all needed amenities. I highly recommend this hotel. The price is very reasonable and the clean rooms make Microtel Rawlins very comparable to the higher priced hotels in town.

Honestly, if you read the 3-star reviews you ll find them pretty accurate. I m giving our stay a four because we needed a cheap room for a quick night of sleep, and since we re a big family we needed two rooms which can break the bank. The rooms were clean. The towels were thin and had stains but seemed washed and the bedding was clean. The bathroom was clean and really, that s all I needed. Working AC would've been nice but the fan kept the room comfortable enough. We were able to find something to eat for breakfast though it was sparse but I think the place is run with a skeleton crew and with the rates they re charging, I doubt a lot can be funneled into improvements. (Do check the fridge temp at breakfast before you eat anything. It was a bit high for food safety.) I wish this hotel the best. It was safe and clean for my family and that was the most critical.

Do not stay here! After checking in we found stains on the sheets (blood?)and the toilet seat was broken. We asked for a refund but Nick the manager refused. Nick was extremely rude insisting that the sheets had been cleaned. I m not sure about anyone giving this more than one star honestly. It was the worst hotel room I have ever seen for $140. Stay away you ve been warned!

Stuck in a snow storm and ended up stranded here for three nights. Room was Ok, but the heater had no thermostat regulator. Once it was on, it was on and heated the room blazing hot. Had to turn it off completely to get any relief. No breakfast as advertised. No half and half for over strong coffee. House keeping woke us up early two out of the three days. Not sure why as there were only two other guests in the entire place. Staff not speaking English was a bit of a problem.

Rooms are small, paint chipping everywhere. Furniture is old and dirty. Only one person working in the evening and in the morning. AC didn't work in the room. The person at the front desk came to look at it and was beeped back to the front desk multiple times. In the end he said it was fine, it just wasn't warm enough for it to work. I was plenty hot. We had to open the window. Not impressed at all.

We had a terrible experience. The hotel is listed in multiple places as having a 24/7 service desk. Depending on who you book with, what they don t tell you is that you must tell them in advance if you are coming later than their 3 PM arrival time.We pulled up, and no one was at the service desk. After ringing the bell and calling with no response, we went an upper level to contact the Wyndham support number. Due to their policy we were not informed of, they said that no one would be at the desk to check us in and they refused to give us a refund. They took our money without providing the services we paid for, the person on the phone was incredibly condescending and the only help they offered was to have us pay (again) for another hotel in their network. We were inconvenienced and treated poorly and we have no intention of staying in a Wyndham hotel after that late night fiasco.Noteworthy details: Please know about the check in policy to avoid the problems we had.

This was the worst decision I have ever made in choosing to stay at a hotel. when i walked in the hotel the ground floor smelled like it had been flooded and never fully dried out. The staff was beyond rude. Never have I been treated like I was less than human. My card was double charged. I paid through a booking site then my card was ran for the full amount. When I brought this up to the manager. He said it will eventually get refunded and offered no apology. Most of the breakfast items were missing. Stay in your car if you have to!!!

Not bad for a oil field motel. Don't let the Mgr put you on the Interstate 80 side of the hotel. You will not get any sleep with the trucks blowing by at 80 mph. Their Breakfast suckedNo eggs, just cold cereal and some mystery meat sausage .

Started off elevator making noises. 2nd floor was not available hand written sign was posted over the 2nd floor button. Finally to the room the covers had white stains in them. The door latch was broken, the room seemed very small in general hard to walk around with 2 people trying to get ready. Toilet seat was not level, stains on towels. Walls so thin we could hear the neighbors phone vibrating to wake up. Oh and treasures underneath the bed. But the desk clerk was probably the only nice thing.

Bathroom floor was sticky, sheets were stained with blood?, room not very clean, A/C unit was loud and allowed the temperature to fluctuate about 10 degrees from cool to too warm. Everything was old and stained, seat cushion on chairs, etc. The online Wyndham member price was $111, but the manager would not honor this price. Breakfast was minimal, no protein at all. Our first and last stay at a Microtel.
