Called them with very short to little notice and they got me in right away and fixed my issues on my truck and trailer. In and out, great service, knowledgeable and can handle just about anything. Excellent shop and I would recommend them to anyone. I've used them before and got the same service everytime.

I used these guys for a tow. They were friendly and courteous. Towed my van 6 miles for $250. Found out that they are a shop as well. And he kindly offered to tow it to his shop from the hotel I had it towed to. For a mere $150. For .8 miles. I was going to have them replace the motor in my van. But after calling other tow companies today. I realized they stuck it to me pretty hard. And offering to tow it to your shop for $150 under 1 mile so you can work on it. Well that s wild. I could probably put it in neutral and roll it to the shop. But, that s ok. I found another shop in town that will pick it up for free! So, if you re completely stuck. With zero other options. Give them a call. Otherwise I wouldn t waste another dollar with them.

Elk mountain diesel has a great staff, treated me like family as soon as I walked in the door. I came there to tow one of our company trucks that had a seized engine. This was my first time towing from my truck and really didn't know what I was doing but one of the tow drivers came out to make sure I was doing everything right. He then had me drive into a bay and had his mechanics remove wind ferrings from towed truck and didn't charge me . That's what I call great service. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of service or a tow. Thanks guys

Had a tough recovery situation with a dry van full of product that cannot freeze, while dealing with freezing temps. Melanie was on top of everything, quick to reply, and helped to come up with multiple options to prevent the load from becoming a claim. It s rare to find people that care and Melanie certainly does. I cannot recommend Elk Mountain Diesel enough.

Went in to get my ISX serviced for a PM. They claimed to have had a 350 PM oil special they changed my crank case filter and claimed to have changed my water seperator, which I had to request them to change. On closer inspection they changed out a fuel filter I specifically requested they not touch, left a oil filter that needed changing on there and charged me over 160 labor for each filter change that is included in any PM service. They will charge you a half hour of labor for each filter changed, With the exception of the crank case filter, these guys charged me a total of 873 dollars for a PM service. Highway Robbery shame on the owners of Elk Mountain for there greed and incompetent mechanics. If you have a Cummings take it to speedco or the a truck stop, or if you want real mechanics take it to the dealer.

Very polite staff mechanic was thorough found my problem fast had me back on the road in less than an hour and a half. I will definitely stop in again if any issue arises in the future. Thank you for being affordable and efficient.

Service manager of this company was great and helped us for free change our tire on the side of the interstate during a hail storm and helped us get to a local tire shop. Nicest guy I ve ever met and really made us feel safe as a group of woman alone on the highwayService: TiresService: Tires

Worst experience ever. I request all my truck drivers brothers not to fix their truck to them. Its better to tow your truck all the way to Rock springs Wyoming instead of getting your truck fixed here. Don t even call them for towing your truck its better to call some other people or take your truck to Boss repairs at Pilot if you donmt want to tow it all the way to rock springs.

Our check engine light was on so we pulled into #ElkMountainDiesel they were wonderful, got right in and fixed the problem in less than 2 hours. We called this company to come out to fix derate on truck. The lady that we spoke with said they charge $194 / hour. She said she would let us know when the mechanic is on the way. Mechanic showed up at our truck and restated that they charge $194 / hour. He said it could take up to 6 hours to perform an SCR efficiency test. We protested that we weren't going to be able to spend $1200 on that job. We approved 2 hours for the work. After two hours (1 for regeneration and 1 for SCR efficiency test), the mechanic said the problem was the outlet NOx sensor. Then we asked for the bill. He wrote us a bill for $1564! We were stunned. They charged all kind of fees that was never stated at any point and that we never agreed to. They charged per mile ($3.50/mile for 84.4 miles roundtrip) + 2.5 hours travel time! I've never heard of any company charging both. We protested but all our protest fell on deaf hears. We called the lady back to ask her why she never told us of these charges. She said we didn't ask! They threatened to call highway patrol on us and have the truck towed if we didn't pay them.Essentially, this company robbed us. We couldn't have spent that much to tow the truck to a shop. They still didn't fix the truck at the end of the day. This was overall a bad way of doing business.

When me and the equal half arrived was greeted And treated with a upmost respect. Called for a breakdown, fuel water seperator filter was plugged up, they came out with no filters and the tech didnt have a wrench for it. He was using a oil filter wrench that didnt fit around it to try and get it off because he said he needed the part number off it. Then says he can have my truck towed to the shop and im like no why cant you just bring the filter or better yet why didnt you bring it. After he leaves i call to see if they are going to charge me for him to go all the way back and get the filter they have at there shop and they said yes. Im like no he should have brought it from the get go so im not paying for him to come out get a part number drive all the way back to his shop then come all the way back. Jesus, i could have given them a part number over the phone had they asked. I told them not to bother comming back out because i will just call the TA who will bring out the filter the first time. They said they would send a wrecker out and impound my truck because i refused to pay for non service, well they can pound sand, let me see the bill and ill see you in small claims courtUpdate: called TA road service told them i had a 2013 kenworth t660 with a cummins isx (same info i gave elk mountain towing) and the tech brought the right filter and my truck is running nowJust got a bill, see you in small claims 441.97 to com out and stare at a fuel water seperator

We called for a tow late on a Sunday night and were dealt with very quickly. We were brought to their shop and checked in accordingly to the work load they had on hand. We were brought into the shop where they diagnosed the truck to the best of their ability. Our truck is a 2020 Mack Anthem but Elk Mountain was willing to try and help us fix it although they are a Freightliner certified facility. They gave us a brief synopsis of our situation, which unfortunately was they were not able to help us with any repairs. They were however very accommodating in helping us find a shop. Overall it was a pleasant experience even though we were not able to get our truck fixed at their shop.

A heater hose broke I was stranded on the side of the road, they sent a couple of techs to repair the hose enough to get me back to their shop. They didn't have the part I needed, ordered it, said truck would be ready the next day about 1 pm, and it was!!!.Everyone in there was so pleasant and helpful, the prices are very reasonable, considering they are basically in the middle of nowhere.I will highly recommend them to anyone.Thank you so much for taking such good care of me and my truck

Earlier today was broke down on i 80 Frank our tow showed before scheduled apartment time and work with me and my son closely to explain to my teenager the whole process to hook up a semi. Frank was very patient with him and my son is grateful for his explanation of how it all works.

Amazing response and rapid service when the rear end seal and pinion and seal went out on our KW. They took the truck in right away and experienced problems getting the parts they needed shipped right away and although the truck was in their shop 6 days, they persevered in making it happen and fixed what was needed and got the truck rolling. The price was more than fair and their customer service was remarkable. Thanks Elk Mountain DIesel.

There are not enough stars to describe my experience. 1st id like to thank you all at Elk Mountain Deisel.Not only did they tow and repair my truck very quickly I was also treated like family. If you need any repairs on a big rig Elk Mountain Diesel. I wish these folks was back home where we need nice people that know how to get you back on the road.There business is comfortable and if you must wait for parts as I did . I was given information on a cheap taxi and a good motel. Thank you guys I cant thank you enough. You made a scary situation into an easy fix and I will always remember you all.Thank you so much.

Each and every one of the employees here are willing to help you, from the tow truck operator, the mechanics, and any one of them in the office. Patient and kind individuals. Elk Mountain quickly came and rescued us 40 miles outside of town and towed our large delivery truck to Rawlins for us. They were so helpful and caring about our bad situation. We couldn't have asked for a better service. They even gave us a lift to a local hotel. The great people at Elk Mountain are so friendly and so awesome to work with, and the top notch professional service they provide couldn't be better! We would highly recommend them to anyone! If we ever break down in the future we hope its in Wyoming where we can call them again.Thanks Elk Mountain!!!
