A few years ago, driving back to California from a summer trip we took to Mount Rushmore, driving thru Casper, WY, I decided to take a short cut thru hwy 487 to join interstate 80. I failed to get gas in Casper. Hwy 487 did not look too long on my trusty map. Wrong. Low fuel light came on. I had a two gallon emergency container with me. The two gallons got us to to Medicine Bow, barely. We were beyond lucky to make it to JB's Stop n Shop. Gas pumps were old school and octane was only 85, but we were extremeley happy. The staff was very nice. I purchased one of their t-shirts. We also stopped at the Virginian hotel and had lunch there. The person in charge even let us go up the stairs and see the rooms, which looked something from the old west. Even though it took me a few years to write this review I never forgot that JB's came to our rescue. Thank you!

Awesome little store in a charming historic community. The staff is very friendly, and they stock Mrs. Freshley's chocolate cupcakes with cream filling (which are dramatically better than Hostess cupcakes) that you can't find anywhere else between here and the Pacific! The Lincoln Highway should have been routed through here!!

Man, J&B saved our backsides as we were driving cross country using back roads! Our low fuel light was on and we were googling "gas station near me" all that came up in the middle of nowhere? J&B's Stop and Shop--53 miles. We were like "really?" But sure enough they were right there in Medicine Bow! The fuel pump was from the 1960's, but it pumped out all we needed. We're big fans of J&B! We tell everybody here in Houston "When you're in Medicine Bow, you have to stop and J&B's!"

This is the only gas station for a many miles. The staff has always been friendly to me. Many of the locals come and go so their groceries are kept from sitting on the shelves too long. It truly is a taste of small town America

Very friendly people, store is loaded very well! They have gas and diesel pumps. Even semi trucks can refuel! Fresh made burritos, pizzas and chili! TV and Free WIFI!!! Thanks the owner for the free WIFI - makes it easier to check the crazy winter Wyoming weather road conditions!!! 5 stars store!

There is only one service station option in Med Bow and this is it. That being the case, it's actually pretty good. Expect higher than normal fuel prices given its location. Don't be surprised to find small gatherings of locals inside smoking, it's the place to be!

Store is open and operational. Classic small town gas station and convenience store. Clean bathroom. Friendly attendant. Sells diesel and gas at prices about 25 cents higher than Laramie.

The staff here is super friendly. The gas prices are typically good. They have a decent selection of snacks and food and they are open late during the summer.

Drove by and it looked as if it closed at 10pm ... 10 YEARS AGO!!! I double checked Google map thinking we passed the wrong place, nope! This place looks closed, I am unsure if it is or not so if it's open for business...maybe ....I don't know....clean up around there!! Invite a customer so there's a car without dirt covering it and a sign is good too!!! Also there is NO DIESEL!! Google needs to update!!

Historic gas pumping technology. Local characters. Wide selection of food for a gas station because it's a grocery for locals. Clean and friendly time warp.
