These guys were SO amazing. Our alternator failed and by the following morning they got us a new working alternator, checked our oil washer fluid and tires. All went above and beyond. If I ever get stuck like this I wish everytime would be at this auto shop 1000/10

Being away from your child is hard when they are not close and have issues with their vehicle. Coming from the car business, it is sometimes hard to find a place with full trust. GEM IS AMAZING! They looked at my daughters car in a timely manner and tried to diagnose with the least expensive routes before jumping to the conclusions and being very expensive. I will recommend GEM to anyone in Laramie!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I appreciated the fact that they were able to get me in and fix my alternator that same day. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was grease and dirt all over the driver seat area. It seemed like not a huge problem to me since I broke down and NEEDED to get back to Saratoga but just beware, to put covers on the seats before you come here.Service: Battery

Suberb! Josh was amazing with us. Our daughter goes to college and we don't live in town. Josh was fantastic, with getting her Jeep into the shop same day it broke down, made sure to call us with updates, and was extremely fair on price, and had the parts ordered and her car repaired in 2 days. Communication from far away was on point! If you're a parent, looking for a trustworthy machanic shop for your kid when you can't be there to overlook the process... Call Gem Auto. My mind will be easily at rest for the next several years, no doubt! And let me be the first to say, I am extremely causious and picky with my mechanics. You all earned this one! Thankyou guys!!!!

If you appreciate getting your car back with grease on the seats, steering wheel, door, floor mats, door sill, and fenders; then this is the place for you. I got some brake work done which seems to go okay at first. Got the car back greasy. Had to return a couple of days later since they didn't properly seal the rear differential and mentioned the greasiness, asking that they please be careful. When I picked it up that evening, it was even greasier than the first time. Disrespectful and unprofessional behavior.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I was recommended to this place by another shop in town. I called ahead to give a very brief rundown of my issue. They said to bring it down and that they would take a look. I handed them my keys, and no more than 2 minutes later he walks back in the door telling me to take my car to the junk yard. He wasn t gone long enough to really look. I bet you they couldn't even tell me what color my car was. They didn t even take it inside the shop! There is no way anyone can give a professional opinion on the repairs of the car in that amount of time. The only question I was asked the entire time was where my car was parked. Nothing about the history of the car or about the issues I was having. The facilities inside were fine but pretty sketchy. Absolutely never going back under any circumstance. Totally a waste of time. Stay clear of this place.

We were passing through the area and I had found a rear axle seal that was starting to leak. The local dealer was booked a week out, but gave me a couple trustworthy places to call. These guys somehow found a way to fit me in the same day and did the job right at a reasonable price! And they are a Napa associate, so the work is guaranteed nationwide

These guys are the best in Laramie. I have taken my truck into Gem Auto for everything from transmission problems to regular oil changes and they have always been incredibly fast, efficient, and professional. Every time I have needed a somewhat major repair they took the time to fully explain the problem, and worked to ensure they were able to fix the problem at the lowest possible cost to me. These guys are awesome.

The ignition cylinder broke on my Ford pick up. Made an appointment for 8:30 and the repair was made by 11:30 the same day. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend this business.

They are non professional. I did Alignment with them two times in 6 month. The alignment is really bad and they just charged me $66 for each time. Don't do anything in this place. Save you money and you vehicle and find another place to do the alignment and fixing your car.

These guys are genuine criminals. My car enters the shop with a clutch without issue. My car comes out of the shop with a totally roasted clutch. I had a power steering issue and a wheel bearing pressed. As soon as I got my car back from these idiots the sway bar link on the side where the bearing was pressed was just dangling attached on one end. So I mounted it back thought the mechanics were morons for leaving it off. Couple weeks down the road the power steering problem came back and upon inspection I noticed a hose missing from the power steering to the radiator. So I mounted a hose. Months down the road my power steering has not had a problem and sway bar links are nice and tight. The half assed work is not the worst part its the fact they roasted out my clutch and told me "Its a part that wears naturally and needs replacing". Problem is it wasn't necessary to replace until these idiots got their hands on my car. These guys at Gem auto wanted to make a fortune off me as a recurring customer and did half assed work and cost me alot of money to prematurely replace my clutch. Consumer Beware.

What a wonderful shop! He got me in for my fog light which had come out of place, and didn't charge a dime! Very nice and very accommodating! I will be using them for all my auto care in the future!

Had a clutch job done here while I was in school at UW. They put 3 of 12 bolts back in to hold the transmission bell housing to the motor. That lack of care/attention resulted in lateral play that roasted the countershaft bearings in a newly rebuilt transmission in less than 5k miles. Spare yourself and go talk to Les at his shop or across 287 at Hometown. Gem isn't worth your time.

They put me in serious danger by ignoring the clearly leaking brake lines and claiming that the burning rubber smell was normal. Good thing I decided to have another auto place look at my car when the smell didn't go away.

I was on a trip from Colorado to Washington state with a new F150. Right before I got to Wyoming my engine light came on and the truck started loose power. I mad a call and they got me right in. Found out I had a foul spark plug and they had me in and out in 30 minutes!

I went for front wheel alignment, it wasn't very good and they've charged me 66$ for it. My friend had the same issue and his car tilted in the highway.
