We had site 298 in Loop F. Very peaceful. It's right across from the bathroom and water which was really convenient. Lots of campers but everyone was very quiet and respectful. Good generator rules to keep things from getting noisy or smelly. It's about 20 minutes from Jackson, and 15 from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park.

The views and access to wildlife is amazing at this campground, but generators are a HUGE problem here. Generators are allowed until 10pm in certain parts of the campground, which is far later than most places these days. We unfortunately booked a site in an area where they're allowed and regretted every hour of it. The views are amazing, but good luck getting any fresh air or quiet nature sounds... it's louder here than if we stayed at a place inside of Jackson! Quite a disappointment for a National Park setting.

Wonderful campground right underneath the Grand Tetons. The views are spectacular in all directions. The campground has restrooms, gray water flush sink, fire buckets, etc. For everyone to use. At each campsite there has a picnic table, campfire ring, and a large bare box. Some can't sites are tint only and others have different links and widths. Depending on your size camper. We were able to take advantage of a campsite with side by side parking so we could put the truck beside the camper. The entire campsite is paved which is really nice. There are also two dump stations and a freshwater fill up at the entrance. The dump station can back out quickly so picking the right time is important to not wait in line.

Expensive campground 50 dollar offering no service except old run down toilets and a campsite. They have the longest generator hours I have ever seen in a park (6 am to 10 pm). Expect lots of noise. The fact that some areas are without generators is useless because there is little vegetation to dampen the noise. Never again.

We loved this site. It is conveniently located between Jackson Hole and several trail heads. They were more than accommodating to us as well. I was accidentally sprayed in the leg with bear spray and they let me use their office shower to clean off my leg. We also planned on checking out early but only made it through breakfast on our way out of town before we realized our trailer needed repaired. Judy and Jon helped us get a spot back so we had a place to rest before the mobile mechanic could get to us.

I wasn't excited about this park.... until I got there! Incredible views and spacious spots. Big bear boxes at each site and plenty of room to roam about. Kids loved the paved roads for bike riding. Happy about the real toilets. No showers was a bummer but we made do! Make sure to sign up for dumping! It is limited. Very close to Nat Park entrance and Jackson Hole. I fell in love with WY here.Noteworthy details: Views of Tetons available inside campground! Close to river.

Loved this campground! There was a river close by, bathrooms were pretty standard but clean, enough space between campsites to have some privacy. We even had trees and were able to set up hammocks. Just keep in mind it s 20 min or so to hit up a lot of spots in the park.Pro tip-wake up early for sunrise and snap some pictures around the park. 100% worth it!

Campground is great! Staff is great, with one exception. This man rides through the CG every evening on a golf cart with his dog. I parked the truck in an area where rocks had been laid to create a parking spot. The third day there he rides through and without stopping, just yells at the top of his lungs like a drill instructor, "GET THAT TRUCK OFF THE GRASS, IF YOU DON"T I WILL TELL THE RANGER!" He didn't stop and identify himself as an employee and ask me to move. Fact is the ranger had driven through twice and had seen my truck parked and made no comment. Two days later the loud mouth jerk came through with an employee on his cart and made the remark loud enough for me to hear, "I made this man move his truck" like it was one of his greatest accomplishments. This man needs serious re-training, until then his skill set lends itself to the laying of rocks for more parking spaces.

This is one of the most peaceful, beautiful places we have camped in our RV. We had a water and electric site so all was comfy. We were treated to the sight of a moose at the back of our campsite by the river our first morning! They do have restrooms, but no showers there. (It would be super if they could just put in 1 or 2 showers in each bathroom.) Bring your bicycle - you can ride for literally 200 miles around Grand Teton NP. We will definitely be back!

Dump Station is going to fail! Only 43 people (with reservation!!) can pump sewage from 8 am until 4:30 pm. At $50/night for a standard site without ! any hook-up absolutely overpriced. Want electric hook-up, pay an additional $27. Somebody needs to take a serious look at their pricing policy. And as others have said, noisy generators kill the ambiance. Would not stay here again!

Nice campground. Sites are a little short for longer rigs but can make it work. Pretty high priced for the few amenities available. Good discount if you have a senior pass.Walkability: Lots of trails to walk.

This is a peaceful and quiet CG nestled in the cottonwoods and sagebrush along the Gros Ventre River. A good place to see moose and other big game along the river, but keep your distance. Bathrooms are clean, garbage and recycling easy to access, sites are paved. Some have elec, some don't. At $48/night before taxes, this is quite expensive for no hookups. They are having water and dump problems, so come in with full fresh and empty waste tanks if you can. Make sure you pull into the registration area when arriving. Don't park along the road, because there's a snippy attendant to tell you off.

Sites are mostly spread out. Had a little difficulty manuevering our 35' fifth wheel into the site with tree limbs on both sides. Fortunately, a previous camper had trimmed some of the limbs off one tree! Quiet park with picnic tables and firerings. Bath houses have no hot water and no showers. Dumping can be a problem so if you can avoid using the one here, you are better off. We also filled with water before arriving. Not a heavily wooded area - a few trees and lots of long grass. Site was blacktop, but we still needed to use some leveling blocks. Close to the southern parts of the park and Jackson. Didn't have AT&T phone reception at our site, but on the entrance road to the park, it was great!

My husband and I loved staying at Gros Ventre campground. We stayed in the tent only loop and had peace and quiet for the duration of our stay. While there aren't any showers, the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The campsite spots are large and comes with its own bear box. It's great for wildlife watching. We were lucky enough to see a male, female, and baby moose in the campground several times, and could hear elk bulging nearby. My recommendation is to get a spot on the side near the entrance road because then you'll have a view of the Tetons.

The campsites are nicely located between trees and everyone has enough space. The problem however with this place is the price, which is 57 $ for a primitive site! For that you get very primitive amenities which were actually quite dirty. Washing the dishes was a mess as well. Very unfortunate that it is so expensive there.

A lovely Campground on the Gros Ventre River. Electricity only in D Loop, so water or sewer. Get water at the entrance. You can dump tanks there, too, if needed. Helpful staff of volunteer hosts.Nearby activities: Grand Teton National Park

Did not stay here but visited friends who did. Beautiful trees, turning yellow in end of September. Bathroom was big and clean. Some sites are not too long, but all are paved. Big campground but very spread out, nobody on top of each other here. Lots of people looking for moose! Not too many moose. Had to sign up to dump.

Pros: lots of shade, clean & plentiful bathrooms, friendly staff at checkin, daily ranger talks at the amphitheater, is the closest NP campground to the town of Jackson, easy to get in/out of because it s outside of the NP entry fee area.Cons: unlike the other major Grand Teton campgrounds like Jenny Lake and Colter Bay, there s no showers or convenience store. No electrical at any sites. Overall seems overpriced considering those factors but it s Jackson Hole, so nothing is cheap. It s about a 30 minute drive to Jenny Lake, and a full hour drive up to Colter Bay at Jackson Lake and you have to wait to go through the park entrance each time.

We stayed over labor day and loved the location of the campground in relation to Jackson and Grand Tetons. We saw the moose family along the river. The sites are very wide open without privacy in between. I saw a few people struggle to get backed up into their site as things are tight.I thought $50/night was on the higher end for an RV site without a direct water source at each site and no electricity. We were close to flush toilets, but then had to pay to shower at the Rec center.

We stayed in loop D and had 30 amp power. Sites are paved and level. Some with good all day shade and others in full sun. Campfire ring, pick nick table and bear boxes for food storage. Restrooms are clean. No showers on site. So quite and peaceful here. Can not wait to get back to the Tetons in the future. Campsite is close to Jackson where there is plenty of restaurants and stores for anything you need. This is a must stay if in the area.

Still one of my favorite campgrounds. Now with a reservation system in place the hectic entry process is, we'll, much less hectic. A change this year is needing to schedule use of the RV dump area in advance. This change has reduced somewhat the lines that used to exist when campers were using the dump area. Bathrooms were kept clean and appropriately stocked. On the first morning after arrival, a cow moose wandered by our campsite. Saw another cow and calf along the Gros Ventre River, not far from the campground. Lots of mountain blue birds, and the occasional deer. Views of the Grand Tetons are as beautiful as ever.

We stayed only one night and were disappointed with our experience in this campground. We had a dead tree on the ground just next to our tent, sites are divided with tree trunk often rotten instead of rocks like in other National Parks, and our campsite was covered with wild vegetation and really close to other campers. Toilets facilities were very old and not well located in the campground, at least they were clean but some of the potable water stations were broken and there was no sink for the dishes. Also lots of coming and going from other campers during the night, curfew was not inforced. Overall the campground looks not maintained at all by the manager since a few years. We were really disappointed with our experience especially considering the price we paid, by far the most expensive we paid in a National Park. We've been to many National Parks campground and always had nice experience, all of them better laid out and maintained and had more services for half the price we paid here.

Nice campground. Flat, some shades sites. Flush toilets and faucets are walking distance from sites. Quiet area with little airport noise during the day. Very near Jackson Hole. We used this camp as our base to explore this end of the park. Suggest picking a site on the campground periphery.

Scheduled a reservation here for Labor Day weekend and a trip to Grand Teton National Park. The campground has many spots that are clean and spacious. The view of the Tetons are stunning from the campground! Short drive to Jackson Hole and into the park. Camp employees are friendly and helpful! Highly recommend

Wonderful camp ground (very large & scenic). We were thrilled with the location - it made our day trips to the surrounding sites very easy. We took in Yellowstone, the Mormon Barn, and all of the bounties nature had to offer up, all within a quick drive from camp. TONS of outdoor stuff within a few minutes, plus ample wildlife and a river on one side of the camp. It was a wonderful stay for 4 days.
