National is always great from the cars, the service and the people. But this trip especially deserves a review. We rented an SUV at National in Salt Lake City to drive to camp outside of Jackson. On our 4th day out of 9 the engine light came on. We called National and explained to them the issue. They asked us if we felt safe driving it to Jackson Airport to trade it out. We said yes so we drove the car, traded it out with a new SUV and left all within 10 minutes. That night I realized I left my cell phone in the car that we returned. So the morning after we drove back to Jackson and asked about the returned car. I was tracking my phone through Find My Iphone and saw it was not at the Idaho Airport. They moved it there to work on the car due to the check engine light. Mark at the counter was a huge help, contacted an employee that worked in Idaho to go to the returned car and grab my phone and then drive it back to Jackson airport. I picked it up within 5 hours later!Fantastic customer service, extremely helpful and made sure that we are customers for life with National. Thank you again for turning what could have been a nigtmare into a less stressful experience.

The car was great, though when we picked it up, the vehicle did signal that it needed to be serviced; one of the signal lights was out, the low tire pressure indicator came on, and one of the key fob batteries was dead. We were a little concerned, but the car made it through the nine days of renting it.

Really good service from National again. We were in the area for a week and picked up a rental from National Airport. Having an executive emerald membership helps. Got multiple options to pick a car. Got a Cadillac suv which was great for our trip to Teton and Yellowstone. Staff was very helpful. Service was quick. Most of the people traveling would be tourists during summer and most likely need car so I would suggest getting in line as soon as you land. Pick up your luggage after you pick up your car. Getting in and out of airport is easy. There is. Gas station few miles up at Moose junction.

I had no issues with my car or the customer service. Keep in mind they do not have the typical go straight to the aisle and get your car yourself. With that said, I highly recommend going directly to the counter first before getting your luggage. When we arrived there was no one at the National counter, only a sign pointing us to check in with Enterprise. By the time I got the luggage and went to the bathroom, there was a huge line. With several people leaving the line to get a car elsewhere, it took about a half hour for us to reach the front. Be sure to have all parties there if there are additional drivers as they asked for the driver's license.

Awesome experience from start to finish at Jackson Hole Airport National Car Rental. Attendants were helpful and friendly - I was in car within 10 mins, and the drop-off was just as easy.

We almost exclusively rent with National! We have never been disappointed with the vehicles, customer service, or return process. Emerald Club with Emerald Aisle selection is the way to go but even when that is not available at smaller locations, National has always been amazing.

Cars are clean and in excellent working order. Service is great as they get you checked in and on your way quickly. Drop off is even faster and easier.

Made a reservation a few months ahead of time. Then the airline moved my flight up 12 hours so I asked to pick up early. National told me my reservation would be increased from ~$300 to ~$700 just for making the one day change. I asked and asked for a reasonable solution but no one would help me.So, I finally had to add a 1 day rental to the previous reservation for $~70 which is much better than ~$400 for an additional day. Then they told me I had to return the first rental within 24 hours and pick up the second rental in order to keep arrangement. I pleaded with them on the phone how ludicrous this was. They gave me no choice.Fortunately the attendance at the National counter was awesome and helped me work it out reasonably without issue and gave me a nice vehicle. He was awesome!If not for him, this would have been a 1 star rating. I've been an Emerald and Emerald Executive member for many many years but their system and those on the phone didn't really seem to care.Thank you to the great service provider at the Jackson Hole counter.

I wanted to warn others of Nationals misleading, poor, and possibly deceptive wording on contracts when renting vehicles. I reserved a vehicle at LAS with a return to this office. The total distance is 718 miles. My contract stated I would be charged for EXCESS miles. No mention of how many miles per day or what is considered EXCESS. Well National charged me for EVERY mile I drove! I emailed several times asking where it states I would be charged for EVERY mile and all they stated was no mileage was included. I will be choosing other rental car companies in the future.

This car rental service saved the day for our vacation. Our original rental fell through and the staff at National were very helpful getting a nice car for us. It was a better price than our original rental. Good job!!!

I have always loved National, but they changed something with the online reservation process, where it was not clear at all to me that my weekly rental included a charge per mile! I ve never had this on any previous rental so didn t even know to look for it.At least the rep at Jackson Hole was apologetic and great in doing his best for me with price. Was just frustrating way to start a vacation, when you suddenly have to pay another $250 you weren t expecting.Car was good though.

Rental car companies are generally very similar, but I had an overall good experience with National. The car was not particularly clean inside (armrest storage was not even in consideration for use, for which was dirty/sticky/and just gross), and the cup-holders needed a deep cleaning. Overall though, car was great and enjoyed my upgrade with Chase Sapphire Reserve Emerald Club membership.

I have to say I did not have any issues with service I received at this location. Simply the vehicle. It was clearly not serviced properly. First of all it smelled horrible when the heat kicked on. Second and the issue I actually cared about was the brakes were shot. By the time I realized it it wouldn t have done us much better to take it back. We were already down the steep mountain pass and hour away. Car had 50k on it so I would guess the pads and or rotors had never been touched.

I flew in this afternoon with an Enterprise reservation. There wasn't anyone at the ticket counter so I asked the guy at the National counter (right next to Enterprise) if he could help me and he said "I can help you." I asked him if that meant he could help me with a preexisting Enterprise reservation** and he said "that's what I said." Yikes. Anyways, they didn't have the suburban I reserved so I accepted I accepted a truck and when I asked what size pickup truck he said "the pickup size pickup truck". His badge said "manager", but this location should strongly reconsider giving him that title. Hopefully I don't have to deal with him on my return. Very rude.

Had an awful experience with National at Jackson Hole. Our country has moved to digital licenses and I showed that as well as my old physical license but neither was good enough. I showed the manager - who was extremely rude and smug - the government website plus as a past customer all my data was in their system. So travelling across the world and told no car and to follow US rules as if you re only a US company. An awful experience. I walked down to Avis who happily rented to me for two weeks. These are the moments when you say no way, no next time.

This experience with National was an outlier and I only write this because I have received (2) emails asking me to do so. The Jackson Hole location is one where cars are assigned to you and you are not able to select your vehicle in the aisle. Not uncommon for them and this is not what made this experience not meet expectations. What bothered me was when asking about the possibility of another vehicle, we were told they were completely sold out. However, after the agent consulted with another team member there was a sudden cancellation for a large SUV and we could pay almost double what our full-size car reservation was for. After declining that offer then there was another cancellation of a small size SUV that would cost slightly less than the larger SUV. Just don t appreciate the games National. I use you, and will continue to do do, because of the ease of picking out my own vehicle and not having to deal with the described gamesmanship. Be sold out or not. Had the team member just said we have other available vehicles and this would be the price I would have no issue. But making it seem like we were in luck because there was just a cancellation is disingenuous.

One of the worst experiences I ve ever had. My family rented a car in Salt Lake City. We were taking an extended hiking trip to various National Parks. On our way back to Salt Lake City, our 2020 Ford Explorer with only 4,000 miles on it broke down. The transmission got stuck in second gear and continued to stall. The safest option was to pull over, making us stranded on side of the road.I was on the phone with road side assistance for at least two hours and they could not provided me with a solution. They initially wanted my family to drive the car over a mountain pass to Jackson, WY to exchange the car. This would be very dangerous and I explained numerous times that the car was not in any shape to drive. The best they could come up with was to send a tow truck to take our car. And that was it. This would leave us on the side of the road, stranded, with no car and all of our luggage.Essentially I had to make numerous calls and made my own reservation for another vehicle at the Jackson Hole airport. I had to get a $100 Lyft to get there.I found it interesting road side assistance couldn t even guarantee a reservation at any nearby National branch (nearby meaning one within in a 60 mile radius). There was no protocol with road side assistance or customer service to reserve a replacement vehicle. Also, the Jackson National branch would not permit me to reserve a one-way vehicle from Jackson to Salt Lake. I rented it anyway, drove to Salt Lake and left it there. Screw it, I had a flight to catch.I WAS an executive club member but will never be renting from them again.

Car rental is in Jackson Hole and not on airport property. Always a wait to get your car but not any longer than any other agency. Cars are much cheaper at the agencies that are not at the airport. Car was nice and the price was right. Return was very quick and hassle free. They advertise shuttle to the airport as on demand. And while they did not jump up and whisk me away to the airport, the wait was very short. All in all a good rental experience.

I reserved a standard SUV in Jackson Hole, WY but when we arrived, the car was not big enough for our luggage. The agent was so friendly, immediately gave us keys to a bigger car, and took care of returning the original car to the lot. It was quick and easy and made the beginning of our trip stress-free!!

Renting the minivan from National at Jackson Hole, WY could not have been easier. The desk is in the airport, which is not the case for other national brands, which makes it super convenient.The van was great for the 5 of us to handle all the luggage, a comfortable ride, and easy access.No question we would use National in the future especially when there is an Emerald Isle which I'm used to using.

It s the fastest rental you will ever get. You get to the rental counter before your bags and have your rental car warm and ready for your bags!!!! I can t believe that!!! Fast service, of course friendly. I did my reservation before hand online and it was easy that way. Liam at this location is just amazing. He let me personalize my coverage. Who does that these days? He asked me few questions about my personal car insurance coverage and suggested what I needed. I cannot be more satisfied. No doubt I will be back!!

Love National Rental car. Jackson Hole airport doesn't have emerald aisle, but National counter line was short. Car upgrade was a bonus. Thank you especially because we had to turn a round trip rental reservation unexpectedly into a one way drop off -no hassle and reasonable $.

Terrible customer service. Over charged 5 days. Unable to get ahold of anyone at location. Sent letter and documents indicating when my flight departed. Letter returned. No one answers phone. Appealed with my credit card. Car rented was old, beat up but it did run.

There were footprints on the inside of the windshield, which didn t give me any confidence in the note left inside the vehicle telling me how carefully National cleans. At the end of the week I have been overcharged. I called customer service and was told that the error is recognized, but since the bill is not yet closed, I should call again a day later to have it fixed.

Overall the service was meh. As an Emerald Aisle level we were not able to choose the car we wanted, the guy at he counter was not very friendly when I asked for a bigger vehicle to accommodate four adults and 4 large suitcases. Upon return I was charged to refuel when I did choose this option and returned the car on a full tank. After calling customer service I was refunded but wouldn't have know if I didn't check the final emailed statement.

If you want to get to your destination only to find that the car you reserved and PAID FOR IN FULL six months in advance is unavailable, rent from National. We (2 people both in our mid sixties) arrived at Jackson Hole Airport got our luggage and stood outside in line for the shuttle to the National Rental facility. When the shuttle was filled we were told that three drivers had quit and we would be waiting another 30 minutes for the next shuttle. Once we finally arrived at the facility instead of having a mid sized SUV waiting for us our ONLY option was to take a 7 passenger Suburban and return the next day after 7:00 AM to wait in line again to get the correct car. We offered to take ANY smaller car but were told we paid for a mid sized SUV and couldn't be downgraded. We had no choice but to return the following day to pick up another car or drive the gas guzzler through the Tetons & Yellowstone for 7 days. The young ladies working at the counter were courteous I'll give them that; it doesn't make up for the poorly run business.
