Service at Avis was terrific. I rent from Avis a lot for work and, while they don t have Avis preferred, I was able to get my car very quickly. The vehicle was super nice, it was parked right across from the terminal and return took less than 5 mins.

1 star for the people at the desk. It was fast for once. But the car we get is so dirty, not even clean and smell cold tobacco. Paying almost 700$ for that is really a bump. I never had a car like this before even with private car owner ! Avis is not a warranty of quality anymore I wrote to the customer service, I had a long text of apologies and that's all. No refund, no voucher, nothing. I wrote to the social email, let see... Oh, And I just read my invoice, I have to pay 106,37$ more than expected. of course the invoice is ununderstandable. Never again !Update : The social media answer me : lot of apologies, again but no commercial gesture, no refund, no voucher. Worse custumer service ever. Avoid them and pay less !

Called ahead of time because our flight was expected to have delays and we were hoping to push back our drop off time a little under 2 hours later:I was charged an extra day with the vehicle as well a hefty fee for changing the drop off time.Just a very unaccommodating service to any changes to situation

Flawless experience in Jackson Hole. Requested large SUV was ready and waiting, check in a breeze, and final bill was a penny less than the estimate. Great vacation rental.

Avis check in at the airport was very fast. I had pre registered and it was only minutes and we were already driving away in our rental on vacation. Avis helped us with before and during our rental. Highly recommend. This is the first time we had used Avis and will definitely lease from them again in the future.

Our car rental from Avis Car Rental at Jackson Hole Airport could not have gone smoother. We used the car to drive a few hundred miles over a period of 5 days visiting Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. The car, a Subaru Crosstrek was super easy to drive, and incredibly fuel efficient! We had fast and reliable service courtesy of the friendly staff that greeted us at pick up and drop off. I will definitely use them again!

Alex was so helpful!! Go to this Avis location if you are renting a car. We had to switch our vehicle for a smaller model since Salt lake City location gave us a Yukon when we had requested a sedan due to needing a smaller vehicle for safety on some roads in the National Parks... no other locations would make switches until we arrived here and they really saved our trip.The other staff was also helpful and accommodating. Best place to go!

Picked up RAV4 from Jackson Hole Airport for Yellowstone vacation. 2nd day out the car computer advised "Service/maintenance Needed, contact dealer". Avis advised taking car back to Avis in Jackson Hole. After 100 mile, 2.5-hours drive back next morning the Avis manager explained that the car passed 5000-miles and the maker advised oil change but Avis only did it @ 10,000-miles. The car was about 4900 miles when they gave it to me. The manager just reset the computer and sent me on way. No apology for my trouble, lost vacation time! No compensation for my gas used and time! Avis crew should have anticipated this! Not happy, lousy way to treat a customer!

What a joke...never before have I encountered such a rude bunch of people and witnessed the denigration of the Avis brand. Arrived at the beautiful Jackson airport but no Avis office. Every other brand there; had to hunt down Avis... eventually got herded into a van and driven to some industrial estate by a driver that didn t utter a word or a welcome or an explanation in the 20 minute drive...come on AVIS!!! Gets worse, here s Avis operating out of un signed shed in the back blocks of Jackson Hole. Our luggage is tipped out onto a dusty gravel entry and then we re greeting by human female Godzilla the people hater. OMG if it wasn t so seriously wrong on every count, this would make a satir comedy. You seriously need to take a deep look at you corporate culture and go back to thinking about how you treat your customers ... or just get out or the customer service business...AVIS ... sack this dealer and take control over your business

The Avis experience in Jackson hole is really poor. The pick up was great. They have one person who covers several rental companies. He was great. The vehicle was great and clean. However, the return option is non existent. No one at the counter. A guy in an Avis shirt told me to leave the keys but there is no check in at the Jackson hole airport. There was NO one at the counter could confirm it. We filled up the tank like we always do but magically the car was checked in with 10 gallons missing. It was a complete $110 rip off by the Jackson Hole airport Avis. DO NOT USE AVIS!

Note: the google map location is wrong! Avis is in the airport now. I picked up my rental at a different location and was really confused when trying to return. On the morning of my flight, I found out the google map location is 11 miles away from the airport. I rushed the family to leave early to have time for shuttle. When I was there, no Avis can be seen but a Hertz branch. Hertz staff told me Avis moved back to the airport around 2021, but the google map never updated.The Avis return process at Jackson Hole Airport is super easy. The staff said they called google several times but the map never updated.Shame on Google Maps.

First time renting a car at the Jackson Hole Airport. Guys behind the counter were great. The car was a beautiful hybrid Jeep Wrangler just like I have at home. Price was right. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Conveniently located counter right out of baggage claim in the terminal, fast pick up and easy return (off hour drop box available). Rental cars all parked in clearly marked row right outside the main terminal. JAC is a wonderful airport, user friendly and after the renovation, very nice! Got free upgrade to Ford Expedition from Ford Edge... enough room for the whole family and more! Car was in decent condition, no mechanical issues.

Thanks to the agent in Jackson who found us a vehicle with heated seats - a huge help to my aching back.The only reason I can't issue a perfect rating is because the car had so much tech packed into the dash we never did figure out some basic features.

THIS IS THE WRONG LOCATION!!! We had to exchange our car because of cracks in the window. We drove all the way from Denver, spent more than ten hours on the road and then drove an additional hour (traffic jams in Jackson) to this location only to see there's no Avis there. When we finally arrived at the right location, in the airport, the guy helping us was rude and made us drive an additional 20 mins because the tank was not filled up all the way. Well, maybe if your location on Maps would've been the correct one.. some more understanding would've been appreciated. Also, the guy gave us a serious downgrade from the car we were driving! Extremely disappointed in this service.

Picking up the rental car at Jackson Hole APO was easy. I had everything pre arranged and everything was ready for us at arrival. Walk from plane, grab luggage and through the door is the rental counter. Walk out the door to the rental car rows. The agent at the counter was efficient and we were out the door!

The entire process was easy and painless and the staff was not trying to sell us insurance coverage for everything. There was a line at the airport but it moved fast. The car was ready on time and clean. The return process was just as simple and quick!

AVIS at Jackson Hole WY really stepped up for me! I made a huge mistake in making a reservation at another company, and AVIS not only had the same cars I needed for my group (van + suv), but also matched the rate I had reserved originally at a competing company. I don't recommend making the mistake I made, or showing up without any reservations, but they definitely took what could have been a real downer for our trip and turned it around!! Specifically Petru at the customer service counter was super kind and professional and took care of us! It is much appreciated! The cars were both spotless and excellent for our trip. This was the type of experience that build brand loyalty! Will certainly give them a look next time we book rentals!

Very bad lost&found experience. I lost my item in the car when returning it, but the Jackson Hole airport was not listed in Avis lost&found DB, simply I couldn't submit lost&found report, and no one will answer the phone call to that office. Terrible customer support will only post useless templated answers that are not possible due to their system fault.Overall Avis is a bad rental company, I had previous international experience, they charge extra money for the damage and gave inconsistent answers between US and European offices.

2nd Update:Social Media hasn't responded in the last 10 days despite their response below.However, the manager from the Jackson Airport location personally reached out to me, based on our survey, and has beautifully resolved our issue. She is wonderful and our experience with the JACKSON location was top notch.The overall rental experience was still a nightmare and Tammy in Kalispell and the rest of Avis remains one-star. But Jackson....5 stars!REPLY To the Avis Reply:I contacted Avis about this on Aug 4, was promised to hear back from someone within 48 hours...I gave Avis 96 hours and still no response. So Avis has completely earned this review. I gave you a chance to handle it without going public. You failed that too.Original review:If you rent from Avis, you better hope you don't have any mechanical issues with your rental vehicle. We were stranded and despite the fact that roadside assistance authorized a replacement car and dispatched a tow truck to bring us a new vehicle, the nasty nasty person at the counter at Glacier International Airport REFUSED to acknowledge the authorization code and release the vehicle. We were stuck in a BAD town and lost a night's sleep dealing with this - as well as a day of our expensive dream vacation because I had to make repeated calls to get us back on the road. HORRIBLE customer service experience. Let me be very clear: We had a mechanical issue due to lack of service on the car, we did not damage or mistreat the car in any form. (Messages were "Service engine soon" and "Stop Safely, Vehicle will shut off soon - with red lights for engine and battery.)Thanks Tammy in Kalispell for ruining our dream National Parks trip. NOT AT THE AIRPORT!!!20-25 minute drive to the opposite side of Jackson to the dusty garage with no lounge or indoor seating which isn t a fun place to wait 20 minutes for their only shuttle to return and take you to the airport where hertz, enterprise, National all have desks inside the airport with cars right outside the door.Do not trust advertising or google maps location. The address for where you get your car is 1195 S Highway 89, Jackson WY.

I booked a car for our recent trip to Jackson, WY weeks in advance for our 4 day trip. Our trip was delayed by one day due to an ice storm and flights being cancelled. I tried to update my reservation online to reflect our one day delay, but the system said there were no cars available. I then contacted Avis Customer Service and they too told me there were no cars available. I also tried to contact the local Avis desk in Jackson, WY but got referred back to Avis customer service. This is extremely frustrating since there was clearly a car available since I had one reserved. In order to be sure I got a car, I needed to extend the period of my reservation to a full week, at a substantially higher price. I was able to rent a car but at over twice my originally booked rate. This was my first time as an Avis Preferred Customer and I will most likely return to using Hertz as a Presidents Circle member. I was looking forward to being an Avis customer but will no longer make it a priority since they do not value customer service or make it easy for customers to make adjustments

Because the gentleman in the terminal was all by himself they were unable to deliver the car to the FBO as promised. However, they made up for it by giving us a much nicer car than we paid for! After the whole process was done I found that logging into my Avis app on my phone made it extraordinarily easy to download a copy of my receipt straight into Concur for my expenses. Very happy with the whole experience.

I had a recent experience with Avis at Jackson Hole airport. I read the review before I booked it and had some doubts. But I was willing to give it a try as I have been always using Enterprise. Landed and the car was ready right outside the terminal. The car could be better cleaned but it was OK. Very easy process. Once returned you dropped the car outside and there was a group of guys which didnt have clear sign of uniform shouted just leaving the key inside the car. No checking while I was there. As one of the reviews said he worried that the guys just took the car and drove away as you don't know if they work for the company. So I snapped a few photos before entering the terminal. i stopped by at the counter of Avis and asked them this is it? One of the gentlemen said yes.Second morning I got a confirmation email said my car was checked.So overall it is a fairly easy process and very convenient. I would use them again if their price is competitive.

One of the worse car rental experience I have had after dropping off the vehicle. I picked up and dropped off my rental car within the rental agreement contracted times. I was then charged more then double the agreement rate. When I called they said that I had requested a rental extension and that was the reason for the extra charge. After 30 minutes on the phone they came back and apologized stating that I did return the car on time but they where delayed in checking it back in and would credit my account in 7-10 business days. Then the next day I had another charge from Avis and had to call again and was on hold forever. Still waiting for the issue to get resolved!
