My Touareg blew a driveshaft late on Thursday, and Levi at Auto Tech was able to get it back to me and up and running by mid-day Saturday. Mind you, I didn't get it into their shop until Friday afternoon, and they are closed on weekends.Truly a professional and quick turnaround. Never fun to have a big repair done, but they did it seamlessly and on a day their shop was closed. Very appreciative to the team here.

Levi absolutely saved my day. In fact, not just my day but he also saved my bank account! Broke down offroading outside Jackson on a road trip 1900 miles away from home.He was slammed busy, and it didn t help that I drive some weird obscure vehicle without great parts availability. The hotels in Jackson are outrageous and I thought for sure between the repair and the cost to stay a few days I d be screwed.Levi hooked it up. Less than 24 hours later I was back on the road for what I thought to be a more than fair deal! He even had a option for me to work with him on a warranty in case something happens after I m back home. Seriously a great guy and you can tell he s very knowledgeable about what he does. Happy to be finishing the trip!

I have been a loyal customer of Levi & Jimmy from the first day Levi opened his new business. I also moved my company s fleet of vehicles to his care. I knew Levi from his previous job at Shervins and appreciated his honesty, fairness and empathy for his customer as well as he excellent skills as a mechanic. I am amazed and baffled at the couple negative reviews given to Auto Tech and felt the need to tell my most recent experience to demonstrate all the care and concern I was shown. On the way to Denver my car overheated 30 miles east of Rock Springs. We pulled off at the first exit where there were no services. I called Levi and he spent a good half hour on the phone walking us through things to check and what to do even though he was extremely busy. After the car was towed in, he found a hole in the radiator which I was shown. He replaced it, test drove the car and it appeared fixed. However, on my 65-mile ride home the car overheated again. I had it towed in and the thermostat was found to be faulty. He replaced it but I again had overheating occur on the way home. I had it towed in and after trying 3 other thermostats he determined that Subaru designed it so that only their thermostat would work. Levi fixed it, reduced the labor charged, test drove it over an hour and I picked it up. I drove 65 miles home and was happy it was fixed. Two days later when I had only driven a couple miles the heat light and brake light started to flash. When I called Levi, I said I would have it towed in but that I had used my free tows with AAA. He told me instead that he would send a mechanic to my home 65 miles from Jackson. He thought it was the computer needed to be reset. Two of his employees showed up in case they needed to drive it to the shop but with their diagnostic computer and Levi s directions on the phone, they reset the car s computer and all the idiot lights turned off. They test drove it and all was good. I forgot to mention that this was the day before Thanksgiving and business was booming at the shop. So, for the couple of morons that complained about Auto Tech consider this. Do you blame a doctor when he finds his initial diagnosis was correct but not the only thing wrong with you? Of course not. You thank him and follow his advice on the other issues. A doctor has the advantage that the patient can communicate with him. A mechanic not so much. Levi gives the best service and tries his hardest to give you the most cost-effective solution. By the way I am retired so the extra miles Levi went to help me was not because of the fleet of cars he services for my former employer.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVERI drop of my car in great shape with alternator problem and they said they can t fix it after weeks. they had my car for 1 month and as a result they could not fix it. They couldn t even put it back together. they gave it back my car as showed on picture. They make me ship my car to salt lake for service. They almost turn my car to the junk. Which I bought for 60 thousand dollars , which I saved for years. I definitely don t recommend this shop to anyone. STAY AWAY

We are two German runaways volunteering the world. That is why we bought this old Chevy Van in Seattle. Out of a sudden our engine died and we were in great concern if this would be the end of our world trip. Simply because we could not have afforded a new engine.Brian quickly found a free appointment for us and we felt in good hands from the beginning. After only three days we got the relieving call: The engine is absolutely fine. Only one generator had to be replaced.Such a good service has become very rare.Thank you very much for everything, Brian + Team! PS: Meanwhile we made it down to LA Mexico, here we come!Instagram | YouTube: @vagateersService: Auto maintenance

First Issue: I had Auto Tech do some brake work on my truck. I chose Auto Tech because they were the first shop that could get us in. Not long after they completed the brake work (about 50 miles of driving), the wheel fell off. See picture. To their credit, they worked with us to put the wheel back on. After fixing the wheel that had fallen off they made sure to tell us to come back after about a week or so they could make sure the lug nuts didn't come loose again (wish they would have told us this the first time).Second Issue: The carrier bearing broke. We paid Auto Tech to replace it. They used a carquest part. 6 months after putting the new carrier bearing in, it failed. They charged us to replace it a second time and again used a carquest part. Three weeks after the second bearing was replaced, it failed. Autotech told us that heavy trucks might require a part from the dealer (shouldn't we have used a Dodge part from the beginning?) After the second fail, they got the bearing from Dodge and it worked great. To their credit, they didn't charge us for the 3rd fix. After multiple visits the truck sat at autotech for weeks while we waited for the bearing issue to be totally resolved.Third Issue: We also paid autotech to replace the pitman arm which helps with steering. Three months after fixing the pitman arm, the steering wheel became very loose. I took the truck to another mechanic and they discovered that when autotech replaced the pitman arm they didn't tighten a bolt on the pitman arm down all the way and this is why the steering was loose. We had to pay the new mechanic to fix it.Autotech told me on numerous occasions that the truck is old and the front end needs replaced. Fair enough. However, the age of the truck has nothing to do with correctly tightening bolts or using the wrong parts. There are other mechanics in town with better reviews. Wish I would have done my homework before choosing Autotech.

While out on a cross country road trip my truck broke down leaving Jackson hole mountain resort. Through a recommendation from a local business and the triple A tow truck driver I arrived at Auto Tec. My truck ended up needing a new radiator, coolant, idler pulley, and serpentine belt. Levi treated us like family and made sure that I was on the road the very next day by lunch and gave me a fair price for the work needed. Most mechanics aren t great but these guys are. Thank you Levi for getting us back on the road!

I can t thank Levi and Auto Tech enough for squeezing me in during our family RV trip through the Jackson hole area. My truck was having startup issues and I couldn t get an appt for service anywhere in town - everyone booked for weeks, including Auto Tech. After a call to Levi , he was kind to look at it even though there were backed up - diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road the next day. The one click no start issues wasnt solved by the new batteries I had done at a shop in Bryce Canyon a few days earlier - and he found the starter needed , ordered and repaired and we are now able to continue our journey to Yellowstone. Great service and a great local shop. Professional and caring about our situation. Thank you.

Amazing service. I live and travel in my van. That said it was imperative for me to fix my van. For a moment one part was not available till 3 days later. I was supposed to stay In their parking lot alone for the whole long weekend. Isaiah went above and beyond to find the part and fix my van. I called him my guardian angel. Him and Brian helped me and saved my weekend. The van feels better than before and im so glad destiny took me to Auto Tech. FYI follow my YouTube channel Trotavan !

Our car was making some loud noises by the tire and another company that looked at it said it was the wheel bearing but didn't have time to fix it. We called Auto Tech Thursday at 5pm and they agreed to look at it Friday morning. It was in fact not the wheel bearing and a loose bolt so they tightened it up for us and sent us on our way. Saved us several hundred dollars and were accommodating at getting us in last minute.

Chapter One:I've been here for a month now, ... 3 weeks and they try to give me this- - - - -Chapter Two: Maybe. Once upon a time there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. Such bad luck, they said sympathetically. Maybe, the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. How wonderful, the neighbors exclaimed. Maybe, replied the old man.The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, he was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. Maybe, answered the farmer. The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. Maybe, said the farmer.- - - -After a discussion with service writer after seeing previous reviews, an insistent managatorial-staffed individual requested me leaving by that day w/o fixing my issue.Upon sitting in my truck to leave, a new axel arrives and plans change. Getting installed in the AM.All things aside, things go always according to plan if you are put in a rough situation and you end up making the right choice. There is one or more among them here at this company that will do you right.Love is the right choice. Even if it looks ugly at times and you don't always see the light at the end of the tunnel. Trust the path you are on in good conscience.Letting me stay on property in my 5th wheel has been a gift as well, even if I did have to spend my Birthday here alone. Much appreciation. A lesson as well is YOUR STARS CAN CHANGE just as this review's will.- - - - -More to come.

These kind humans went above and beyond for my wife and I when we came in with a serious problem with ine of my trucks main lines from the brake master cylinder. As busy as they were, at what I assume is the beginning of the peak season for them. They pit the truck up on the lift and gave it to us straight. After all wS said and done they gave us a bottle of dot 3 brake fluid and sent us on our way. P.S. to y'all, I JB welded it and we are now in Huntington Beach, sitting at about 2200 miles now & running strong! Good looking out guys!!!

Unprofessional, and not just their customer service. Absolutely broke my cars system, was in and out of their shop for weeks leaving each time worse than it came in. Ended up getting stranded in hoback after test driving it after picking it up, had to get it towed and was dropped off at yeti in south park where it was an estimated $10,000 engine repair. Levi takes no accountability and I am now out thousands trying to get this disaster resolved.

Word In town is don't go to Auto Tech. Don't waste your time going there. Customer service is not Levi s strongest suit.

Levi and his staff are incredible! I have an older (2004) Dodge pick up that needed some love. (Steering rack, power steering pump, tune up, and more). Levi was open and up front about what the truck needed, got me a fair estimate (even worked within my budget to be able to get the most important repairs done first), and got it done quickly. He is a very friendly and honest person, and I trust them to do all future work on my vehicles. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle in to Auto Tech if you have any mechanical needs.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair

We have had the worst service and communication from Levi at Auto Tech. The steering column on my 1974 Ford Ranger F-250 broke 8weeks ago. We had it towed to Levi, and he has done nothing with it, despite numerous calls and personal visits. He claimed to have ordered a replacement, but didn t. There has been no communication from him and today he wound up yelling at my wife, and refusing to complete any work on the truck. My advice - do not trust Auto Tech with your vehicle! Nice guy, seems a bit overwhelmed when speaking over the phone. Was able to diagnose my desiel, but not capable of the repair due to the extent of the task. Definitely more affordable than the dealership in Jackson, Wy. for the diagnostic service.

We are on an extended vacation. Our transmission failed on a trip over the Teton pass while towing our 5th wheel. Our Dodge Ram was towed to Auto Tech. Our tow truck driver Victor( an amazing young man)and AAA encouraged us to use their services! Brian, owner of Auto Tech located the one HEAVY DUTY transmission available within a 5 week delay, repaired our truck and returned it in a timely manner, allowing us to continue on our year long planned tripped. He was kind, personable, understanding, professional and we feel God blessed us in leading us to this fabulous shop and Brian. Thank you Auto Tech & Brian! Thank you to Victor for your faith in trusting Auto Tech.Service: Transmission

First off, let me preface this by saying me and my friends were an in absolute bind. Radiator breaks at 4 pm on a Friday with plans to leave at 6 am on Saturday called about every store in Jackson and nobody could help, we finally get to this place and man unreal help and service. Ordered a radiator from Salt Lake and the mechanic Isaias came on on his day off to take care of us, awesome dude. Got us patched up and out of there by 9 am against all odds. Brian, the guy in charge, genuinely cared and did everything to help us. Brian, if we ever come back to Jackson, we want to meet you at Bull Moose and buy you a beer or several. Thanks again fellas, recommend this place with zero hesitation for anyone needing repairs in Jackson.Service: Engine repair

These guys were amazing! We had scary levels of brake vibration coming over the pass from Idaho. Didn t feel comfortable heading back without brake service. They got us in right away and took a look. We didn t have any other transportation, so Jimmy from their office loaned us his car for the day! Went way above and beyond and fixed our brakes and rotors right away. Did great work.Service: Brakes

Had my check engine come on while in the Tetons and Levi and the Team worked magic by getting my newly married wife and I back on the road under 24hours for a reasonable price. I got updates as they diagnosed the problem and they let me know which services would be necessary to make sure we finished our 5000 mile road trip in one piece. Couldn t be happier, they saved our honeymoon!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

So the tow driver was super nice and professional(Jack 5 Stars). We were in and out around an hour, after we got to the shop. But the part they fixed which was the muffler fell off before we left, so they re-attached it and was on my way. Not even a day later the whole thing fell off again, we payed $125 for the service and this was not good work at ALL for the small amount of work done on the car.

Great place! Awesome staff, they were all very helpful. Our campervan broke down and we got towed to this place, they did their best to fit us in their busy schedule and even let us sleep in front of the place as we had to stay for a few days. They spend a lot of time trying to find out what was wrong with our 1986 ford van and improved it a lot. Thanks guys.

We were on our honeymoon from MN when our van started having issues. Levi moved mountains and got us up and running same day! I couldn't be more thankful for the quick service, amazing communication, and caring interactions we've had. Highly, highly recommended

Rude and profane when dealing with the manager, Paul, and his staff. Very steep prices for what should've been a simple, quick distributor/spark plug cleansing. Charged over three hours of labor for what should've been a one hour job. Unnecessarily filled up antifreeze and charged $20 per gallon for it - a classic nickel-and-dime scam (and only gave me a half gallon). Didn't apply AAA discount. When confronted about the exorbitant price, used typical scare tactics ("Oh, it could've been worse!") and overly-technical wording. Overall, my experience with this company has been incredibly negative, from the initial phone call for a tow truck to the final pick-up and payment. About the only positive thing I can say is that they fixed my car. Avoid at all costs.
