A simple but honest thank you to all the folks at Thunder Basin Ford in taking care of my Ford Edge. I had an oil change & tire rotation done on 11/24/23. I was able to utilize a coupon which was sent to me for that service. Scheduling was easy and Tiffany was competent and on it in assisting me with that procedure. I had a comfortable, clean area in which to wait and my rig was returned to me in the same clean manner as I submitted it to them. Much appreciated. Everyone was helpful and seemed competent and I do not hesitate to give them a try. I will definitely return!

I have bought 5 new vehicles from 4 different dealerships in the last year. Our salesman Paul did a over the top job on getting me into a brand new truck with an excellent interest rate. I was so impressed with the honesty and hard work they put in I went back and got my wife a truck also. I waited a week to write this review, and I am very impressed with the service they have provided and I have 0 buyers remorse. If there are any salespeople struggling to get repeat sales or lifetime, customers buy a vehicle from Paul at Thunder Basin Ford and learn how it's done. Also, they have great interest rates on the 2023 F-150's, and they are giving away free snow tube's for the kids. I've never felt more satisfied with a vehicle purchase than my experience with this dealership. You guys have earned yourself a lifetime customer.

Evidently this place can t find qualified mechanics but yet they have no problem taking your money. They had our vehicle for close to a year and after $10,000 given to them, the vehicle still isn t right and I have stacked evidence against them and this is going to go to court. Look at all the other bad reviews of this place that have been left by their victims. Over the course of a year, they called me five times to pick the vehicle up and each time it was not roadworthy and three of the five times that I picked up the vehicle. It went back to them on a wrecker within an hour. I have taken the vehicle to another mechanic who told me they reassembled the front end incorrectly. I brought the vehicle back to Ford for them to fix it and instead of fixing it, they charged me another diagnostic fee of almost $300 This was in retaliation for me, complaining to the attorney generals office about their unscrupulous business practices. You have been warned.

This review is for the parts department, in particular Tiffany in the parts department at Thunder Basin Ford. She has went way above and beyond to help me with getting the parts I need for my vehicle! Employees like Tiffany are very few and far between nowadays! Employers need to recognize them and do anything and everything to keep them! Tiffany is that special employee! Thank you for everything Tiffany, your hard work doesn t go unnoticed!

In August, the wipers (front, rear, washers) stopped working all at same time. I figured electronic, so I too it to thunder basin Ford figuring they would have diagnostic equipment. Told me it was a module gone bad. $700 later got it back and everything worked except front washer. Took it back and they told me it was the front wiper motor causing the problem and for another $350 they could fix it. I waited a couple weeks and scheduled to have it in on a Tuesday. On Sunday before, everything quit working again. So they put a new wiper motor in and everything worked again, except the front washer, which is why the wiper motor was being replaced. And instead of $350, they charged me $500.After having it back in several times, with no success, I talked to Jason about it. He told me that his tech was on vacation and the next week when tech returned, he (Jason) would call me and tell me when they were going to get it in to figure it out. 2 1/2 weeks later with no call from Jason, I called again. Was told I would hear from Jason or Sara when Jason came back from an appointment. 3 hours later called back and Sara asked me if Nevaeh called me? No, no calls. So she told me it would be in on Thursday. After having it until Tuesday, Neveah called to tell me it was a broken wire and they were only charging me another $290. But everything works again.So it only took two and a half months and $1600 to get my wipers working again.Everyone was always nice when talking to me, but they have a habit of not returning phone messages, and I have to wonder if I needed the electronic module in the first place, since the wiper motor fixed most of the problems. And I have to wonder if they accidentally broke the wire when they were replacing the module since the washer worked before everything shut down.But Jason did I stall a new bug deflector without charging labor. So there's that.I don't think I'll be buying another Ford any time soon.

We wandered in, just looking. Loved our current vehicle so not anxious to trade, just looking. Found the hybrid F-150 we wound up driving off the lot that morning! No sales pressure or sales tricks, gave us more than expected (and I'd done research on trade value on our 2020 vehicle). This is the 4th vehicle we've bought from them over the years...and we've also done business with other dealers as well...definitely worth a visit to see what they have.

Sarah did a great job getting my truck fixed. I brought my truck in for a humming sound in the frontend. Turns out I needed two new front hubs. I was really surprised, since I only had 72,000 miles on my truck, but it needed to be fixed, and Sarah got it done. I would have loved to tip the mechanic, but i never got to meet him.Thank you.

I am new to the area and this was my first experience with Thunder Basin Ford. Pleasent surprise! They fixed a warranty recall issue that i had previously taken my vehicle to a "big city" dealership three separate times and they never fixed it (dealer had it each time for the entire day and even verified they had parts prior to scheduling). Thunder Basin performed two recalls the next day and my vehicles was ready by 11am.

Horrible place to take a vehicle. Horrible customer service and they charge you and fix things that didn't need fixed without telling you. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS !!!!!!!!! bought 2 brand new trucks, both got stress cracks in the windshield. One was driven home and parked for 3 weeks. both were sent to novus glass to be told it was a rock chip so the warrenty wouldnt cover it. One i had 4 other glass companies look at that gave me written statements that it was a stress crack. THUNDER BASIN FORD WILL NOT HONOR ANY WARRENTIES

Easily the MOST dishonest Ford Dealer in the State of Wyoming, if not further. EXTREMELY unresponsive, and very typical sales type attitudes. Smile to your face and shake your hand all while knowing they are deceitful and liars. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I went in for an oil change and found out that my brakes were at their end. My brakes were replaced and I haven t ever had any better working brakes. I m truly happy and am 100% satisfied with the experience at Thunder Basin Ford.

The work done to the vehicle was good. But it took over 3 weeks for the repair, was told just waiting on a couple of bolts. When it was a part that was on back order. Was told the warranty would cover a rental, then was told it wasn't, had to call Ford customer care to get the rental. When going to pick up the car would release it cause they didn't know who owned the warranty, and they needed to call Ford in Detroit to find out who had that warranty. They act very shady in how they run that service department. Will never go back to that place again.

The only reason I m giving them three stars instead of one is because the sales department has always treated me well. I had a great experience purchasing all 4 of my new fords from the sales team.However, the service department is terrible to work with. A gal that works in the service department is very rude. I brought my vehicle in 3 separate occasions to get some warranty work for a headlight. they ordered my new headlight and I was promised to have it done that day each time I brought my vehicle in, but always got an excuse as to why it wasn t getting done in a timely manner. After 3 attempts to have thunder basin ford service my vehicle I decided to call Fremont Motors in Sheridan to see if they could service my car for me. IWhen I brought my vehicle to Fremont Motors I received wonderful service. They found out that my vehicle didn t need a new headlight like Thunder Basin Ford service department had claimed. It was an electrical issue that was fixed in 45 minutes.I am glad I ended up taking it to Sheridan to get serviced, had I not Thunder Basin Ford would have taken the front of my vehicle apart for no reason and would have found out that it wasn t even the headlight that needed replaced.I will not be getting my vehicle serviced by Thunder Basin Ford again.

The service department and owner are absolutely wonderful. Our 350 diesel truck(pulling our 5th wheel) was having issues as we're heading to Jackson WY and they were able to diagnose and fix our truck. The kindness and compassion we were shown was unbelievable. I would absolutely recommend service department manager Brent and the owner Steve if you ever need to have a vehicle serviced or purchase a new vehicle. If our truck had not been fixed we would definitely have purchased a truck from them. Thank you again for everything you did for us so that we could enjoy our vacation.

We had A/C work done on our 2010 Ford Explorer at a cost of $1300. Picked it up when A/C was "fixed" (according to service dept) WELL the A/C WORKED MAYBE 2 WEEKS. Took back to service dept. Said "sorry, but sometimes one problem leads to another" And wanted to charge about the same amount or more to "fix it". Evidently they don't guarantee their work. WE will never trust Thunder Basin Ford again. They're just all about the money!!

Absolutely the singular worst dealer service experience in 3 decades of a dozen vehicles in a ranch operation (constant service work). Vehicle went in with a specific request to diagnose a soft brake pedal or to not repair. 1st $1100 went to brake work that was "solving all of the problem." Next I received a call it still wasn't fixed, but after service talking to the repair tech - they promised the next $600 would solve it and authorized to proceed based on that. Nope. Still couldn't diagnose the problem...but was told another $1400 should do the trick. At that point, requested the vehicle be put back to the condition that it arrived in. So frustrated to get the vehicle elsewhere, I paid labor to take the unnecessary parts back off. Paying attention to the customers request and being upfront are integral to a good customer experience......

I like the staff however, when we brought our car in we dropped it off at 9 am so they could look at it and order needed parts by 1 pm to get them there the next day, well, that was the plan. We didn't get a call until 3:35 pm letting us know what was needed so they missed the order cut off of 1 pm so we had the car there an extra day to wait for parts. Not terrible but not the plan. One other thing is, it would have been nice for them to call us on the THIRD day to let us know if they got the parts and if it would be done that day but we had to call and were first told the parts weren't in but then on a call back we were told they WERE in and it would be done that day. Bill in the service department was the most helpful and understanding and actually did pick me up so I could get the car so that was great service on his part!!!

The team at Thunder Basin Ford is excellent! This is a place that genuinely cares about the customer more than themselves. I bought an Expedition which was even delivered to me in Denver by one of the sales team (who then went to the airport and flew back to WY). If you buy or service your next car at Thunder Basin, you can rest easy knowing you re in good hands.

I had a pretty bad experience trying to trade in my Chevy 3500 for a newer Ram Rebel they had on the lot (which seemed to have an issue with the air suspension). The Salesman was a younger man who d only worked there a couple of weeks, taking all his direction from the finance manager. They did the whole hold on let me go see what I can do dealer thing on the numbers on my trade in for about two hours saying hang on let me make another call but no one is going to offer more and holding the keys to my vehicle so I couldn t leave. Finally, they gave me the deal I asked for after all that time trying to offer me 6000 less for my trade in. I walked away from the deal simply due to the fact that they assumed I was unsuspecting and were trying to take advantage. The finance manager came out to play manipulative mental gymnastics, saying that my vehicle was an LT and not an LTZ like the VIN said it was and therefore it was worth less. This was obviously false, and the Chevy dealer I traded it to the next day agreed. Then, in an effort to make it seem like the deal of a lifetime the finance manager decided to value it as an LTZ anyway. The entire conversation otherwise was unpleasant, scheming and delivered with a mildly demeaning energy. I wasn t going to write a negative review about Thunder Basin Ford, until today when I discovered they ran my credit despite being told not to, verbally agreeing and assuring me my credit was not pulled. They tried to keep me there as long as possible and sell me anything they had because they knew I would be approved. This dealership probably has some nice vehicles on the lot but definitely gives you the typical used car buying experience that everyone hates. I would never shop for a vehicle here simply based off of their manipulative sales tactics and untrustworthy practices.

My car is a 2022 Ford exploer purchased in February of 2022. And the Other day my boyfriend and I were coming home from cheyenne WY late at night and my back passenger window randomly rolled down and wouldn't to back up. We ended up pulling the door panel off bc it was raining and we had our 6 month old son with us so we need to get the window to go back up since it was less than 30 degrees out and we were on the side of the interstate. After pulling the door pannel off we found the window motor was continuously going down and extremely hot to touch. We did end up getting the window back up. When I took my car in for an oil change I had them look at it they won't warranty it because a couple clips on the door panel got broken. We shouldn't have to deal with this issue in the first place with a brand new car. Then they didn't even put the door panel back on they just it pit it in my back seat. I had an infant in the car what were we supposed to do? Service manager litterally told dean (my boyfriend) he should have pulled the fuse and left the window down. In inclement weather with a baby in the car going down the interstate. I am more than upset and disappointed with the service at this dealership who apparently does not care nor stand behind its customers.
