Dalton squeezed me in when they were booked for 2+ weeks, because he knew I was passing through and needed emergency repairs! They made the repair process on my 07 WRX quick, easy, and painless! The car needed a set of rear brakes, and Dalton had me in and out within an hour the next day! Him and his employees are awesome, and know how to take care of someone in a pinch, there isn't much that can be appreciated more than that!Service: Auto brake repair

This review is a year and a half late - I apologize for that, Dalton!A friend and I came out of Yellowstone and had a wheel bearing issue in our Ram 2500. We were trying to get it fixed so we could get back home before his stepdad passed. No one anywhere had time for us, and we got the only bearing available in all of Cody. We asked Dalton if he could please PLEASE help us make it back to TN safely, even though he was booked up for two weeks. Understanding the urgency of the situation, Dalton cleared the day to help us and we were safely back on the road within 4 hours.When everyone else said no, Dalton said yes. A year and a half later and we haven't forgotten how desperate we were when we pulled into his parking lot. We're still grateful for how he was willing to help us when no one else would!

Dalton and his team are friendly and professional. He was able to diagnose and repair a difficult issue with RPM pulsing/surging in our Forester (turned out to be the alternator) that the Subaru dealer in Billings was unable to even detect. They service all makes of cars, and are the local specialists in Subaru and import car repairs and maintenance.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

When Joe owned this place it was bare bones decor but top notch service. It's the opposite now. They've really upgraded and have mechanics who are NOT the brightest bulb, if you know what I mean. Took 3 hours to have my oil changed and they tried to talk me into other services. They've taken lessons from the dealerships in Billings who give oil changes away when you buy their vehicles so they can get you in and talk you into expensive repairs. I don't plan on returning.Service: Oil change

Overall very good experiences here. My only gripe is that the diagnosis I paid for was not the actual problem, still fixed the actual problem for the same quote when I brought in my vehicle for repairs. but I was never given an explanation on why the diagnosis then repair were much different problems then stated. If I were in the area again, this is the place I d come to.

I was on a road trip with my good friend when his front drivers side bearing nearly ripped itself out of the knuckle, causing us to be stranded on the side of the road. When our tow driver eventually got us, this is where he brought us. Joe and company run a great operation, are extremely helpful, kind, and friendly. Being thousands of miles from home and being treated so nicely was great, and they were even willing to drive us somewhere in town with their own cars while we waited for the repair to be done. Definitely worth stopping into Joe's if you need work done on your vehicle!

Boy, what a game-changer experience with Rector Auto. I had myself convinced my transmission was burned out due to towing in the mountains all the way from Alabama. I felt certain I would be leaving my truck in Cody for however long it would take to get a transmission replacement. Lucky for me, Owner Dalton Rector listened as I described the nature of the problem and felt it was a cylinder misfire. Even though Rector was fully booked for the next month, Dalton jumped in for a test drive and diagnosed the misfire. I was worked in right away and back on the road in under 2 hours!!!Rector Auto has saved our vacation.Rector was a first class experience and by far the cleanest, most professional Auto Service facility I ve ever used.

We were traveling through Yellowstone and Cody when our car's serpentine belt began screeching. By the time we got to Cody we knew we needed a mechanic. After visiting two in town who could not see us that day, someone suggested Rector. Despite having a full schedule extending out for weeks, the mechanic came out to diagnose the problem. When he realized that we shouldn't keep driving with the tensioner pulley about to fail, he was concerned for our safety, and consequences for the car (potentially destroying the engine if it broke off), he agreed to squeeze us in that same day. He felt like a guardian angel to us. We are back on the road, relieved and grateful. We cannot recommend Rector highly enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Joe's Auto is the best! They have the best service and the nicest technicians in town! They even used their personal vehicles to pick me up from my house to go down and get my car from their shop. Best prices in town and they fix it right the first time!
