Joe is a great guy. Picked up the phone as soon as I called him, and even though he is a busy man, he told me to stop by, and he will check it out. He opened the hood, layed down on the ground, found the problem, and fixed it in about 30 minutes. It was not a big deal, but the previous mechanic made a mistake, and John took care of it. We need more people like him. If he is available, don't hesitate to go there and get your vehicle fixed, and if he is not better, call him and make an appointment asap. The wait will definitely be worth it!

Mr Joe and his crew do outstanding work. M&P has taken care of mine and my family's vehicles since 2000 and have always been taken care of quickly, professionally every time. I have tried other shops in Cody and Casper and they are the best. I tried quite a few shops in the past and again since 2000 I will not use any one else. I have personally seen Joe shop do some amazing jobs on things I didn't think could be fixed and their machine work cannot be beat. The quality of work is outstanding and time line to complete the job is outstanding.Thank you to Joe and his employees for you are always ready to help.Dave H.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Brake service & repair

My wife and I were traveling through Cody Wyoming with our fifth wheel. The low coolant light had come on and we found a leak coming from the seam in the fluid reservoir. We were able to locate the part in stock in one of the parts stores in town. We contacted M & P Repair and RV. It was Sunday and they said come in and drop the vehicle off on Monday and they would get us going. We dropped it off and they were able to get us back on the road. A big shout out to Joe and Gideon "Rocky" for the excellent service. He was very fair on the price also. I would highly recommend their services. And would definitely use them again if I am in the area and need some work done.

There are no words to describe how Tom and Sarah helped me. Have a Monaco motorcoach no one in Cody would help except Joe He checked my fluid in rear differential then found my leak the hub bolts were not tightened. If anyone needs repair in Cody there is no one like Joe. Thx Joe I can now go on with my trip in peace.

We broke a leaf spring on our 5th wheel driving through Meeteetse Wyoming on Memorial day. We called around to see if we were lucky enough to find a shop willing to work on the holiday. Joe answered the phone, and even though it was a holiday and we had no appointment, told us to bring it by and as long as he had the part, he'd get it fixed for us so we could be back on the road to Montana. We showed up, showed him what was broken, and he told us he'd have it done in a few hours. We drove over to the library in Cody for lunch and wifi. A few hours later, Joe had replaced the part, gave us a rundown of what possibly caused the issue, and was kind enough to make sure everything was torqued down before we hit the road. Prices were beyond reasonable. I'd recommend anyone to him for that level of service.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Very professional and knowledgeable. I would visit him again if needed. Don't judge a book by its cover especially in this case.

We had a problem with our inverter in our van while traveling and called this man and he said to stop when we were coming by. He stopped what he was doing, took it apart, and knew exactly what to do. He had knowledge on what we needed and fixed it on the spot.Very happy with his mannerisms and service.Service: Electrical repair

Our RV battery died suddenly and Joe was able to get us on the road quickly Saturday morning. He was very professional and gave us a few different options for replacement batteries. He also even took the time to teach me a few things about how to diagnose battery issues in the future. Thanks Joe!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Joe is a jack of all trades, machinest, welder, mechanic and electrician. He is older guy and has a good reputation of doing good work. He does not give his work away but gives a fair price. He is also a military veteran.

I think it's fair to say he tried to fix my RV issue but I felt the price was unfairly high.I came in for a new water pump. The replacement took about 20 minutes. I was charged $150 for a $75 part and $150 for the labor - $300 total. The new water pump worked when I left the shop but failed again 2 days later.

My partner and I have been here twice. Both times we have been here, owner (Joe), was very rude to us. Immediately said to us okay so what are you in here for that I won t have time to do today? After we had set up an appt. We weren t a walk in. Second time we went in, we found out the owner never sent over the form that was required to be sent over to the department of licensing. We called and spoke to Joe again and he stated he had no clue what we were talking about and then proceeded to hang up while we were talking. If you re looking for a place with horrible service and customer experience, this is the place for you!

I heard a"pop" when plugging my motorhome into a campground pedestal. I had no 110v in the coach, so I called the Good Sam tech support and after a 20 minute conversation, was told it was probably a blown transfer switch. I brought the coach to M&P. Joe told me my rig had no transfer switch. He removed the cover from the junction box first and discovered a blackened wire nut! He cleaned up the burnt ends and soldered the stranded portions and installed proper wing nuts, tested his work and charged me only for his time. First class work and a first class guy!

We were a week into a 3 week out west motorhome vacation. One we had hoped to do for a long time and right before our kids were about to graduate high school. I bought an older 2003 motorhome and we left Georgia. 4 days into the trip our generator started to give us problems. Which meant no AC for the trip which was about to go through some very hot areas. After numerous attempts at various mechanics we happened to be going to Cody. I called M & P and even though he was very busy Joe took the time to see us and thank God he happened to have a new generator in stock that would fit our motorhome. He put it in and had us on the road the next day. It saved our trip and was well worth the cost as it increased the value of my motor home when I resold it after our trip. It worked well for the rest of our two weeks through southern Utah, Arizona, and the southeast in July. I can't thank Joe enough for helping us make lifetime memories. He is great when you are in a bind. This was late June 2021...Thanks again JoeWhitt BrownBremen, GA

Very nice owner! Joe took us in when he was extremely busy, and short a mechanic. Reminded me of my dad who was also a mechanic. He was super busy and couldn't look at it right away, but worked on our RV until 8:30 that night to find out what was wrong. Was already booked for the next day too, but worked on ours in between other vehicles until he got it fixed late in the day. I can't blame him for the time it took, but we sure do appreciate all he did to take care of us, including letting us stay in the RV in his lot that night. Nice guy! people need to remember that Cody is NOT a large city with part stores on every corner. Thank you JOE!!

Burned up brakes in Ten Sleep Wyoming. After 3 hours dealing unsuccessfully with Good Sam club we found a tow truck and road side mechanic to come out and get us to the point we could make it to Cody and the man, Joe, of M&P. He said he could see us in 2 days. We went by the 1st day to verify our appointment. He took our vin # so he could work on ordering parts and checking availability. He took us in as scheduled, ordered additional parts, all heavy duty. He even explained how not to do this again. He has a solid local business and works tourists in as he can. He is helpful, but don't try to make your misfortune his problem. It's your problem and he is the solution. I was at his mercy. He knew it, I knew it. I was thankful for surviving the Big Horn mountain range. Never asked him a price. When all was said and done, I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks Joe. Hope I never need you again. Although if I'm back this way would be glad to share a beer.Service: Brake service & repair

I intended to write this long ago, but here is the story of my experience with M&P. In early June 2021 while on a family vacation to Yellowstone (from Texas), we hit a mule deer with our Ford Expedition after the Cody Rodeo. The deer heavily damaged the front end of our vehicle; busted the radiator and transmission coolant system and damaged the air conditioner compressor among other things. The vehicle held no coolant and could not be driven back to Texas in its condition. Keep in mind this incident happed at 10:30 p.m. on a Saturday night and we were scheduled to begin driving home the following Tuesday. Imagine how many auto repair shops, dealerships or other places are open on Sunday in Cody, WY? How are we going to get this car repaired? Do I have to wait until Monday to even get someone to start to look at it? Do we book flights home, have the car repaired in Cody and then trailered to Texas? Do we rent a car one way to drive home (estimated cost $3,000) and fly back to Cody and drive it back when it is repaired? How long does it take to get repair parts in Cody during a pandemic? Stressed to say the least. This is where Joe at M&P Repair & RV enters the story. A local taxi driver who took me to the rental car facility, after hearing my tale of woe, told me that there was a place not far from the airport that did emergency repairs on RV's suggested I might try and see if they could take a look at the vehicle. Given it was Sunday and no other place was even open, I thought I didn't have much to lose to try and find the place. The taxi driver also said, "Oh, you're the people that hit that deer out by the gas station?" It's a small town and word gets around.I located the repair shop which was only a few miles from the airport. I don't recall seeing any signage so I wasn't 100 percent sure I was in the right place. I approached a man who on the property and explained why I was there. The owner of M&P (Joe) said he would take a look at my vehicle and see if he could make the mechanical repairs that would allow us to get the vehicle home but he wasn't making any promises. Long story short, Joe was able to make the mechanical repairs (new radiator, mounting bracket, transmission coolant system, zip tie the headlight in) so that we could safely make the 1000 mile drive back to Texas. Joe evaluated the car on Sunday, ordered the parts on Monday and had us on the road on Thursday (which would have been Wednesday but for shipping delays related to the parts). Based on my experience, M&P might be the answer to your problem if you are stranded in Cody, WY far from home with your own vehicle and you need to get back on the road.

Van lost a front wheel bearing heading out from Cody, with 5 kids in tow. These guys did everything possible to get us parts and ensure we had a safe trip out, great service, would absolutely recommend to anyone unfortunate enough to experience a breakdown way out there by Yellowstone. They also have a mobile mechanic on site as well.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Joe was great! Lost our AC on the way to Cody. Temps were in the high 80's. He had to order us a new one and it showed up at 8PM on a Friday. He called Sat. morning and told us he would work on Sat. to install.! Fixed a few other minor issues we had too! Great guy! Would go back just to say HI!!

Asked for him to take a look at my vehicle and contact me with what he thinks needs done. Calls me a week later and states he's cleaned the battery terminals, and replaced battery cables because of corrosion. I explain how I've already done that he then charges me $160 for parts and labor(one hour and twenty minutes). Continues on to state that what's wrong is a blown valve. Took it to another mechanic this one says the vehicle won't stay running for more than a few seconds because it doesn't have the chipped key. Gave this guy the chipped key; idled perfectly no indication of blown valve. This M & P is a crook and will try to get more money out of you than it actually costs.Edit: Sorry for the "inaccuracy" he charged me 153.52 for work that didn't need done claiming the battery cables were soaking in acid and needed to be replaced. But if they were soaking in acid then the battery would have needed replaced too, no? and I would've needed a new one. I at the time didn't know it was the key that was causing it to not stay for him but he wanted to install a whole other engine in my vehicle instead of properly diagnosing the problem.

Be careful of this business for value. My RV was taken to this shop for a check engine problem caused by a clogged exhaust filter. Joe McNeil attached the computer to the port on the engine and stated that the engine had a clogged filter! He also stated that he couldn't fix the problem and sent my friend to another facility 2 hours away. What he didn't say was the filter could be cleared by running the engine at a high temperature. That cured the problem later on.Joe did state that he advised that the cost was $125 to check the system. One has to wonder why you must agree to a high fee to be told what you already know.Seems like another company taking advantage of stranded motorists.

Saved our yellowstone vacation!!! 14 hrs from Mn, just starting into park and car overheating. Able to get back to Cody and add coolant, leaking every where. Called on a Sunday when nothing open, "bring on over and will take a look". Arrived, assessed and waited our turn. Before the end of day, had spent hours on, fixed, beyond fair price, checked and rechecked and we reached our destination. Can't thank enough and a reminder that there are good people out there!!!!!

We arrived in Cody on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. and after setting up our travel trailer in the RV park I discovered a water leak. I looked and found a leak on a cracked t- coupler by the water heater. After finding M&P via google the owner said to bring the unit to his shop and he would look at it. He dropped what he was doing to work on my unit and fixed it! It was a Saturday afternoon. We completed the 3 week trip with no more problems. He is quite a guy....most others would have said ""leave it and I'll get to it when I can". Very good mechanic! Thank you again!

Being stuck out west with RV problems is never fun. I got to Cody and first day of camping lost shore power on my RV. I took it to M & P and Joe knew exactly what was wrong, my power cord went bad. He provided a temporary solution and I had a new cord in 2 days. I can't recommend this guy enough - they were all friendly, helpful and most of all reasonable and solved my problem!!! Thank you Joe

Followed a friend up from Thermopolis Wyoming. To drop his RV for repairs. Leveling. Hydraulics. Messed up. Followed them around as he explained the problem to the owner of this place. Who seems to be very knowledgeable as to what was needed. He has another business going on too. With vehicles waiting too. Get fixed. I was inpressed. Being a retired Army Staff Sargent. Working on Huey's. And later over the road 18 wheelers. For 10 years.been to a lot of repair shops. In 72: years. Was impressed.

Sunday afternoon, and we are heading to Blackhills when we broke deadbolt and kids and mom stuck in trailer. We got them out and called Joe at this place and he got the door fixed for us cheap! 60bucks! Although he didn't have the right lock, he got it fixed so we could head out! Did I mention this was all on a Sunday afternoon!? Thanks! I'd make this my first stop shop!

Total ripoff and unprofessional service! Told us he probably needed to repack the wheel bearings on our RV new rotars if needed. We can back at the end of the day only to sit in his driveway for 2 and a half hours while he was supposedly in town getting a part. He wouldn't pick up his cell and we had no way of knowing when he would be back or how to get our RV to sleep in for the night! When his helper came back from dinner(?) He finally told us that maybe he could try to run the credit card machine.....it was 8:30 pm at that point! Bill was $2000 because instead of repacking the bearings he put new ones on it that cost over $1000!!! Never called and asked us or anything. Total scam!!! Be careful with this dude!

I rented out my RV through a website for private owners to make a little extra cash. A renter took it from Kentucky headed to Yellowstone. The RV has 55,000 miles on it and had already been to Mrytle Beach and Florida that summer with no issues. The renters made it to just outside Yellowstone when the RV started to lose power going up hills. The girl that rented it drove it into his shop. Guess what the owner sees when a female pulled in with a rented RV and the owner over 1000 miles away. Dollar signs!!! He told the girl a new pump would be $800 for the part and labor to install it would be about $1500 all together. This RV has a Ford V10 chassis and I just had my fuel pump replaced on my rusted F250 for $650. I called the owner and he gave me his BS about how much the original Ford part costs, but he changed the same pump cost to $500 when I talked to him. He still told me the total would be about $1500. My renters were stranded and I had no choice so I told him to fix it. 3 days later he called and said the RV was finished and my total was $2,617.14. I was floored. He said he spent 12 hours on the RV because "some of the bolts were rusted and required extra time" at the rate of $135/hr. He also gave me more BS about having to work around the leveling jacks. Thats false! Long story short, this professional RV mechanic shop had to spend an extra $1100 on my account maneuvering rusted bolts. I have never changed out a fuel pump before, but I bet I can do it in less than 12 hours! Besides all this, he never called me to tell me his educated guess of an estimate was way off. He knew there was nothing I could do about it but take it up the tailpipe and just pay the bill. BTW, I also had to pay 79.95 for overnight freight charge from Tennessee because he could not locate a fuel pump in this major town. I can get it at any Ford dealership. I also looked up the same part number online and it sells for $288. I paid double! My very expensive lesson here was that I am not allowing anyone to rent my RV long distance because I will not put myself in this same situation and be at the mercy of another crooked RV repair man.
