This was the perfect quaint little inn to stay at for a trip to Yellowstone without staying in the park. It s perfectly located half way between Yellowstone and Cody. The gal that runs it is the absolute sweetest with season opener goodies for her guests. Our room was the cleanest room I ve ever stayed in. We will most definitely be back to the parks out west and will be staying there again. It s quiet and peaceful. I can t speak highly enough of this wonderful inn. Book it, you won t regret it.

So, we stayed at this campground because of location and the price was very reasonable. I found out why! These sites are setup so every other site is pointed in the opposite direction. That allows you to become very close with your neighbor since you are facing each other only a few feet apart. Doesn't allow for two large awnings to open easily. My biggest complaint, the bathrooms. From the outside they look nice but, the inside is very dingy, not clean, no ventilation and black mold on the ceiling of the shower stalls. The paper towel dispenser never worked properly so, you have to fight the tiny knob and manually dispense the towels. Also, floors looked like they haven't been mopped in weeks. Office is only open 3pm-10pm.

I had a wonderful stay. I am a flight attendant with 22 years of flying. I hold the highest tier loyalty at most of the major brands. I have well over 4000 hotel stays on 5 continents and probably 100 countries. Thus, I consider myself a bit of an expert or at least an experienced traveler. Green Creek Inn was Extremely clean and comfortable with friendly reception. Nice laundry and grounds were well kept and hotel maintenance was top notch. Would not hesitate staying here again or bringing anyone from my family.

View is amazing, staff friendly, quiet and peaceful. Pets allowed. We like to be left alone and ask for what we need when needed, so if you are a needy, crabby person then this may not be for you but for a peaceful, quiet and quaint place to stay this is it. Rooms are very clean and the rustic type furniture gave it more of a Wyoming feel . Laundry room available as well, which is always a plus for me because I hate packing a ton of clothes. I highly recommend this place and want to bring all my family here next time. We are celebrating our anniversary so it was perfect for us. It will also be perfect for my grown kids and grandkids. It is close to Yellowstone and close to Cody for museums and rodeo, etc. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Clean motel with a great location and very reasonable price. The women at the front desk is very sweet & helpful. About 25 minutes from downtown Cody but plenty of nearby hiking and great proximity to the east Yellowstone entrance. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Only good things were we only had to stay there for 3 nights. The reason for the second star is that it was placed ok re. Yellowstone. Worst bed ever, caused me back grief, an aircondition from maybe the 70s which was so noisy you couldn't possibly have it running during the night, thin walls - we heard our neighbor's verbal fight with his son loud and clear, bathroom smallest I've seen in the US ever and I've been there 37 times in 12 years.I'd not come back.

This was a great place to stay near Yellowstone without paying a high price. The drive to Yellowstone takes about 30 minutes, and the drive-in from the East entrance has a lot of opportunities to see wildlife. We saw several grizzly bears and many bison on our way in. We stayed 2 nights here. The rooms were simple, but clean. The bathrooms were small, and there didn't seem to be much hot water at any time of day. Friendly and helpful staff and a decent breakfast.

No complaints. Really nice owners, good rooms & showers. Easy to get to Cody or Yellowstone. So 5* for our experience.(I didnt pay for this place, a friend booked it for me, but if it s really around $160/night, then thats absolutely ridiculous!)

Place is clean, no funky smell. Decent. Small microwave and fridge. Im taking 1 star out because to check out you have to just drop off the key. And the ice machine is in the office. So we couldnt get ice upon leaving. Around 30 mins away from yellowstone east entrance

Cute little inn close to Yellowstone east entrance. The room had microwave, fridge and a dining table so was super comfortable. It is 20 miles from Cody center so close to shopping and restaurants. Would stay here again!

(Although this review is lengthy, please read it all.)Driving across country last summer, we always made last minute plans on where to stay overnight. We consulted trip adviser and found the Green Creek Inn was a good location, being close to the east end of Yellowstone, and it was reasonably priced. It would save us time and money in the following days when returning to the park. The only issue was that I had read some pretty horrific reviews from some disgruntled guests, along with glowing reports of the kindness and hospitality of the owners. It was hard to believe they were all writing about the same place! I noted that in each case of a negative review, the owner posted a sincere rebuttal, leading me to believe that he took great pride in the inn. Based on this "feeling", we decided to give it a try. I am very glad we did.The accommodations were modest and clean, and reasonably priced--the kind you like to see after a long day hiking. However, that is not why I'm writing this review. I'm writing to describe an event that occurred during our stay that shows the great dedication and hospitality of the owners and their staff. While touring Yellowstone, my wife noticed that she had left her diamond wedding rings at the Inn. She remembered that they were left on the desk in our room. Upon returning to the room at night, we did not see the rings anywhere. We checked EVERYWHERE, twice, still nothing. In desperation, I asked at the desk, if anyone had seen the rings or if they were possibly discarded with the trash during room cleaning.I think that the owner's wife was more concerned than my wife over the incident. That evening, she immediately assembled the staff and verified that no one had seen the rings. The entire group then went through the trash in the dumpster out back--twice--to find our trash and then determine that the rings were not in it. It certainly went way beyond what one would expect, say, at a Best Western or Holiday Inn.The next morning my wife again searched and this time, she found the rings in an overlooked hand bag that she had planned to take that day but didn't. I didn't have to inform the staff because they were at our door first thing in the morning to see if the rings were found or if they had to go through the trash again!Through this review, I hope you will understand the kindness of these dear people, and disregard any negative criticism you may have read.

Pretty average!Super windy for campers majority of the time. Can't pull your car up to where you camp. No camp fires allowed. Only 2 showers and 2 toilets for the whole site. Very clean but further from Yellowstone than you'd think, and a feeling that you're putting the guy out by staying there. Setting is spectacular!

The room was nothing special, just a small and simple place to stay. The room would have been about a $65-$70 value. No phone, etc. We were charged $150 for a single night because, as explained to us, Yellowstone isn't allowing people to stay at the park motels so we can charge what we want. Great, price gouge people who are traveling during the pandemic.

Not a great place to stay. It's cheap, and you get what you pay for.Outside: The majority of rooms are in your run of the mill, side of the highway motel. They have two rooms that are in a cabin like building, I cant speak for those. There are some picnic tables, a horseshoe area, a fire pit, and two picnic grills. Not great, not terrible.Inside: Beds were very uncomfortable. Sheets are old, smell like moth balls, and generally not good. Rooms are what you should expect from a motel. The bathroom is small, the shower has almost no water pressure. They serve "breakfast" every morning. Nothing hot besides a waffle maker, get there early because they dont have much mix. Other than that, there are some hard boiled eggs (maybe 6 every morning), some mini chocolate chip muffins, bread, and cereal. It was the same every day. They have a laundry on site, $2 for the washer, $1.75 for the dryer (count on more, they don't dry in a single run).Walls are thin, you'll hear your neighbors from all 3 sides.Overall, what you should expect from a cheap motel. If you're not on a super strict budget and going to be in the area for more than one night, pick somewhere else.

But for its location (nestled within the mountains and close to East entrance of Yellowstone), this is a regular RV park. Our site was uneven and our rental RV didn't have leveling jacks. Our reservation confirmation email showed that we had reserved an RV spot, but their system showed that we had reserved a cabin. We were lucky in that they had a spot open, and they quickly gave it to us. Front desk folks are friendly and responsive.

This was one of the closer RV parks to Yellowstone with full hookups, site not very level, bathrooms and laundry not clean when we arrived and never cleaned the entire week we stayed. The two stars are for location. Will not stay at this location again.

Love this place!! Looks small and old but it s amazing. Updated and small and not a tourist trap with many people!! Owners care about their customers and the price is great. Last motel before Yellowstone Park!! Make sure to check this place out!! I will be back!! Thank you for your hospitality!!

This place gets 5 stars based on the hospitality alone. After having a terrible experience trying to get a room at the Pahaska Teepee resort, we stumbled upon this place down the road. The woman who checked us in was personable and beyond kind. She waited a few extra minutes for us to get there due to an accident blocking the road. The rooms were comfortable and clean. If you re looking for a place to stay, check this place out.

I would give this no stars if possible. We booked a room (double beds) and a tent site. We were traveling cross-country due to a PCS move with the Army. We brought our two animals (dog and cat) and my husbands parents. They were staying in the hotel room, but my husband and I were staying in the tent. The first tent night, there was a huge storm and we had to move inside to the hotel room (which actually broke a piece of the tent). The second night, same thing. The owners claim to be "pet friendly", but they charge $10 per night/per animal, then don't allow the animals to stay in the rooms (claiming it is a fire hazard). They are not allowed to be unattended, which is very difficult if you need to run to town to eat dinner. The owners are VERY rude and hover over/watch you while you do everything. I would not recommend this place at all. We decide to leave early due to the way we were treated.
