As I was leaving Cheyenne on I-25 heading to Colorado, I lost all electrical power to my 4 Runner and noticed that it was also about to overheat. I was able to make it to the visitor center and opened my hood to find the serpentine belt shredded and the main drive pulley broken. I pulled out my phone and found JTs and was able to nurse my truck there with frequent stops to prevent it from overheating. I arrived around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon and they were busy. I was amazed at the service provided. The quickly walked out diagnosed the issue. They ordered parts, got them in, replaced the pulley and the belt and had me back in the road by 3:00 and I was back to Firt Collins by 4:00. I cannot recommend JTs strong enough! Outstanding service, reasonable prices and enjoyable to work with. AAA++++

I m not from the area i googles a local garage to service an overheating issue that I was having dropped off my truck. They replaced my radiator only to find that it was not the solution that I was needing. I called back down there to tell them that I was having the same symptoms and then I would appreciate SOME of my money back that idid not happen so I m out $1600 and I still have a truck that is overheating.

Would absolutely recommend them. Some of the fastest service I have received. I called them Wednesday after they closed, they returned my call on Thursday when they opened. They completed the service the next day. There was an entire laundry list of things that my car needed and that completed everything I wanted them to do. They text you pictures and descriptions of things that they find wrong with your car.

BEST in the BIZ! literally... They won the best of the best award. It's relieving finally finding a TRUSTWORTHY and KNOWLEDGEABLE mechanic shop with great INTEGRITY. They were highly recommended by a few friends and I know they went above and beyond exceeding expectations to help them out. I will be a customer for as long as I'm in Cheyenne and take my vehicle to them for EVERYTHING!

JT's garage saved me $7k! No joke, after getting estimates from 5 other local garages I was being told that I needed a head gasket replaced. Then that head gasket turned into a whole new engine! After two months of trying to problem solve how I would afford to fix it or get rid of it, I followed a friend's advice to try one more place for a quote. That place was JT's. He was extremely fast with his communication (they open at 8:30am I had a call by 9:30am) and was very fast with repair. I had my car back that afternoon at 4pm even after adding on an oil change. Highly recommend, officially my mechanic from now on. Thank you JT's!

They did a great job working around my schedule. Were very helpful in explaining the problem with my truck and fixing it in a timely manner. Would differently recommend them and go back if i have any more issues.

They were phenomenal!! We pulled up 6 hours into our 36 hour road trip with a broken cooling fan and overheating car. After having been scammed at the first dealership we visited, we were quite skeptical to try another one, but they gave us stellar treatment. They went above and beyond to get our part ordered in asap and got us fixed and ready to go in record timing (for a very fair, affordable price). Not only that but they were pleasant, helpful, explained everything and provided high quality service.

First and foremost, they have great customer service. I had great communication throughout the repair. They are also quick when it comes to easy repairs. I had to get my drive belt pulleys realigned and they got that fixed quickly. This review, however, comes from a major repair I needed on my car. I had to get my timing chain replaced. It took almost a month for the repair to be done. They were unable to figure how to solve a check engine light which was P0341. They passed it back to me saying it was the tune on my car that was causing that. After researching it, specifically for my car, it was related to the timing chain. I also had to deal with an oil leak that was coming from the timing chain cover. I sent it back to them and it took them a week and a half to repair it. I still ended up having an oil leak. I took my car elsewhere for the repair. This shop can be a good experience for some but for me, it wasn t. I wouldn t take your car here for a complicated repair.

The mechanics at JT s were professional and thorough. They found the problem and fixed it right away to get my brother s car back on the road. The price was fair. My daughter and I were on our way to Idaho from Des Moines, Iowa, in March because she was moving there. Coming into Cheyenne, we noticed my daughter's 2005 Subaru (with a 2012 engine) was having some trouble. Our mechanic in Iowa is in the same network as JT's, and he called them and they got us into their shop first thing the next morning. They were fantastic! They found a sensor that needed to be replaced and double-checked that everything was safe and running properly. You can tell they are a family-run business, and they treated us just like our home-town mechanic treats us -- with genuine care and personal attention. Mechanics don't always get recognized for the little favors they do for people without charging them or even telling them they did them a favor. They often have to be the bearers of expensive bad news and take the brunt for that. But you can tell these guys are honest and doing the best they can for the customer and just want their customers to be safe when they drive. We got my daughter to Idaho safely and after I flew home, I ordered them some cookies from a bakery near them. They deserved it!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Unbelievably good. My kids' car broke down while traveling cross country. They were in a huge bind, and the first dealer they tried got really sketchy, so then they tried these guys. JT's Garage was SO much better that my kids almost burst into tears just walking in and starting to work with them. These guys stayed late and rushed a part in to get them back on their journey as quickly as possible, and for almost HALF the price of the other folks.They did great work for a fair price, and even went the extra mile cuz we were in a bind. It's so marvelous to find a shop that's genuinely trustworthy and helpful. Many many thanks for helping my kiddos when they really needed it!Service: Engine repair

I recently took my car down to JT's garage, due to a check engine light. This vehicle for the last 9 years had no issues or check engine lights ever until recently. The check engine light code indicated a timing chain going issue. My 2008 Suzuki XL8 had about 170,000 miles and was probably due for a new timing chain. After paying $2700 dollars for labor and parts, I waited for over a week to pick up my SUV. I started it up and it made awful noise coming from the engine compartment. I immediately walked back in and asked for them to check it. A few more days go by and they said it was ready. I drove it home with no issues that night. The next day I jumped in my SUV and backed up to discover oil all over my brand new concrete in my garage. I took a picture and sent it to them. They told me to bring it back. Another day goes by and I pick it up again. The fixed the oil leak but the check engine light came back on. Codes for miss-firing cylinders, and ignition issues. Then the car started to miss fire while driving. I took it back for the forth time. They said the SUV drove fine and no issues. I noticed my steering wheel was crooked and not level. They told me to get an alignment. I also noticed my A/C quit working too. The owners kept saying it was not due to the timing chain replacement. They had to pull the whole engine out to do the work. Long story short, they are now refusing to work on any foreign cars including mine that was under warranty. Be cautious if you need any serious work done to your car. I plan on going to a real auto shop to isolate my vehicle problems or drive it until it breaks down. No faith or trust with these people.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

When I went to Jts Garage there was aloud grinding noise coming from the passenger side of the Engine. My car is a 2012 Jeep Patriot and under warranty.I didn't want to drive my car to the garage because the noise was very loud and vibrating the engine. For safety reasons i arranged for my car to be towed by Doug's Towing company. The driver was understanding, knowledgable, skilled and handledmy car with care. Also, reasonably priced and affordable.Jt's Garage done an awesome job in repairing my car. They inspected the pulley sytem that was not the problem. It was the altenator bearings. Through the whole process they were honest, kept me informed on what was going on, they spoke to the warranty company and took care of the parts under warranty. And they were reasonably priced and affordable.The receptionists, Mel, was very knowledgeable and staid in contact with me through the whole process. I absolutely loved the way I was treated with kindness and respect from everyone at JT's Garage.Now my car drives like it's brand new and i do not worry whether or not if i would make it to work or not.Thank you very much for fixing my car. Passing thru Cheyenne trying to move to Tennessee, walked out the hotel to find out that my truck needed a starter. Called JT's and they immediately answered and told me that they could help. Dropped the truck off and they had it done in a few hrs the same day so I could get back on the road. Everyone in the shop was very nice to work with!! They were very professional and honest. Exceptional customer service! I am often skeptical of small shops for vehicle maintenance of any kind. In my experience, small shops have a tendency to try to manipulate people who may not have knowledge of vehicle maintenance. JT's Garage does not fall into this category. I highly, highly recommend them for any of your vehicle maintenance or repair needs!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Justin and his team were great to work with. They did as I requested with changing out a oil pressure sending unit. When that ended up not being the problem, they worked all day to get the correct work done which was changing out the oil pump and other items that ended up being covered by my extended warranty. I would recommend them to anyone in the Cheyenne area that is needing work done efficiently and quickly. Took my car to JT's based on a stronger referral glad to know the person that made the referral didn't have the same experince I did. Had motor mounts replaced. Had to go back within 2 weeks because they didn't replace one. Gave the benefit of the doubt that he missed the upper mount that stairs you in the face when you open the hood. After giving them an opportunity repair their work I had to have the new mount replaced at a different shop because it was improperly installed leading to the nut coming off and destroying the mount. Shady business practices, cuts corners, and none responsive to customer issues. Would not recommend them at all.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Whether you are a local or just traveling through, these guys are trustworthy and sincere in their wanting to help you with your vehicle. I was visiting a friend in Cheyenne and my truck wouldn't start. I had it towed to them via USAA due to the number of great reviews on Google. Initially, they thought I needed a new coil pack for my spark plugs and said it would run me a couple hundred. I didn't find out till later on that it was not a coil pack issue, it was a spark plug. So many places I have been to would've charged me for the coil pack and the spark plug. It was a surprise to find out that I was charged $100 dollars less than the initial price. I encourage anyone who wants an honest mechanic with great skills to come here and get the maintenance or repairs on their vehicle. Thank you guys for your wonderful work and diligence. OH, an added point I'd like to make is, as I was driving through the cascades on the treacherous highway 410 in Washington, I had not one problem with engine misfires. I thought that was gonna cost me a ton but they fixed it!

I have waited a few weeks to write this review. I hope to give a fair review of what our situation became. We had an old truck that sat in a field for over a year given to us. We took it to this garage on the reviews and advice of the tow company. Our repairs were put on the back burner several times as the extent and magnitude of the repairs could not be done quickly. Yet there were weeks it was not worked on at all and we paid close 10k promptly whenever they came to us with yet another costs. The vehicle runs and rides smoother than we thought it would but it backfires often. The brakes work fine and it does seem at least safe to drive. Yet it toke months to get our truck back and much more than the initial estimate. Plus when we would go in to try and get off the back burner they would often seem to have excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't worked on. I get that we weren't the only vehicle in the shop but we paid a lot of money and did not get timely service. I do believe we were not treated fairly all things considered. They did seem to do smaller jobs quicker so I guess I would just not recommend you bring them an extensive job.Services: Transmission, Auto engine tuning, Brakes
