While traveling to CA from PA, we had an engine computer problem. We were very blessed and fortunate to be close to Haller s Repair! The problem was carefully diagnosed, the new part came the next day, programming carefully installed/checked and we were back on the road. Here we are, three years later and we still think of Haller s Repair as Cheyenne s best kept secret. If you live in or near Cheyenne, you will not find better service or workmanship!

This is my first time writing a review. But customers beware of this place. I took my diesel in because it had overheated and the check engine light was on. They charged me almost $2100, then told me the engine was bad. They showed me some oil that had antifreeze in it. I decided to take it to a different shop. This shop couldn t find anything. The manager even drove it for a week and the pressure tested it several times. it never lost antifreeze and there was none in the oil. I showed the new shop my bill from Hallers and they seemed surprised about on some of the charges. Like putting it on their code reader twice at $280 a pop. This other shop didn t charge extra for the reader at all.

Very satisfied, truly impressed by the knowledgeable staff, they were efficiently able to diagnose a electrical/mechanical issue without just throwing costly parts at it!Generally doing all my own repairs and maintenance I'm always hesitant to take my truck to another shop, it's nice to find a trustworthy and competent repair facility in a small town.Thank you

Had a coolant leak on my way through Cheyenne heading to Arizona. They got me in, worked on my truck, and had me out on the road within 4 hours. Amazing prices and expert knowledge of Ford Deisel and other makes. If you have an issue, these are the guys to go to. The owner and his mechanics are great people and love dogs as well. I will recommend this company anytime.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I m was in the area working from out of state and I was having issues with my the engine in F-350 Platinum. I had my vehicle towed there on recommendation from 30 miles away. They were quick to try and diagnose the problem. $450 dollars later .They told me I had a bad engine and it needed to be replaced and gave me 3 different options. Any where from $11k to $22k. I chose to have my truck hauled 900 miles to my trusted mechanic. He dug into the problem completely and found that it was only a busted rocker arm. I went ahead and had all the rocker arms, push tubs and lifters replaced on the whole engine and had the EGR delete done with the tuner for less than $7k. My recommendation is always have someone that you trust look at your vehicle!! Always!Service: Engine repair

We scheduled our truck to be worked on 2 weeks ago as we were going to be out of town. We called when we returned home and it had not even been touched. We were told they were really busy. They scheduled the appointment and did not keep it. Took in other vehicles ahead of ours. We had heard bad reviews in the past but decided to give them a try. Never again.

Wow. I was floored when I read most of these reviews. I've been taking my truck (1997 F250 7.3L diesel) to Haller's for almost 2 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I've had it in a number of times because it's an older vehicle and hey, things don't last forever. They've provided prompt service and been competitive with their pricing. I even inadvertently gave them an opportunity to pull one over on me when I brought the truck in for a repair that I thought it needed when it turned out to be another, less expensive issue altogether. As far as the person who stated she thought the owner has a problem with females, I am female also. I've always been helped promptly (and NO, I don't look like a Barbie doll). I have basic engine knowledge but Jim and the others have welcomed questions and explained things to me without talking to me like I'm "a girl." For the persons who stated that Jim was rude/abusive to his staff in front of customers, I was in this morning and Jim was speaking to an apparent new hire who seemed to have some problems catching on at the service desk. Jim didn't coddle him but explained what he'd done wrong and also how to make it right in the future. I didn't sense any rudeness or abuse at all - he stated the problem and offered solutions. It's unfortunate that some have has unpleasant dealings with Haller's Repair but I wouldn't opt to take my vehicle anywhere else here in Cheyenne.

Horrible place to take your car. Jim is rude and classless. He admittedly tried to over charge me and said he s not the one to be reasonable. He s a crook and he s proud of it. You should be ashamed Jim.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

A huge shout out to Jim Haller and his staff! While traveling through Cheyenne on vacation we hit a deer right on the highway (on a Sunday no less) and AAA recommended taking the truck to Haller's Repair. Met with Jim on Monday morning and even though they were booked solid, Jim fit us in. He reviewed the damage Monday morning, got a quote to us by lunchtime (very reasonable), ordered parts Monday afternoon and had us on our way on Tuesday. We were able to finish our vacation!!!!!Highly recommend Haller's Repair!!!!!

Something hit the underside of our Saab 9-3 on I-80 and knocked the heat shield use. I showed up at 7:30 AM when the shop opened to have it looked at. The owner Jim was able to look at it first thing and reattach the heat shield. He was upfront to look at the car would cost an hour of shop time. Luckily the parts to fix were only a few dollars more. Back on the road by 9:00 AM (after some breakfast). Thanks for repair!

If you have a complicated automotive issue, Haller s Repair is the no place to go. The service is top notch, the crew is highly skilled and you ll be treated fairly.

Dropped our truck off on a Friday. Didn't hear back until the following Tuesday only to be told he couldn't fix the problem, after we had gone that entire time without a vehicle. He said he couldn't fix it because he didn't have a certain tool that only the dealership would have. Come to find out there is no "special tool" required for that particular repair (front crankshaft seal). From the start he had an attitude with us and was not helpful at all, not to mention he lied to us.

Zero stars! Yesterday, 27 June 2018, we stopped to ask about a lit VW (Rialta) engine light. The boss (Jim, I think) tried to talk our heads off about why engine lights can go on, then said he has a weeks worth of work and refused to help us. He was very rude. He suggested AutoZone. After 400+ miles of tense driving Strong VW in Salt Lake City said it was probably moisture in the line and suggested we use 88 octane gas. They turned off the annoying light. It took 10 minutes. IT WAS FREE!!! So, skip Cheyene and go to SLC. I have been RVing for 50 years and I have never seen a more unhelpful RV service shop than Haller. I would have paid $250 cash for what Strong VW did for free, but Jim was too busy pontificating to do the work. Worst RV repair in the USA!

I called multiple places in Cheyenne attempting to find someone local who could work on my Volvo. I took it in when they opened and didn't hear anything from them that day. The next morning I call, and it sounds like they weren't gonna call me any time soon. I figure out what wrong, and find there's a recall on the major issue, and a couple of minor issues.I say I'll take it to the Volvo dealer to get the major issue worked on, and then come back for the minor issue. I got to pick the car up, and notice the cup holders in back aren't working any more. Turns out the mechanic charged me for TWO hours of work at $125/hour. So I think I won't actually go back, since they weren't in a hurry to let me know what was wrong and they charged full price for two hours of diagnostic work AND they broke my cup holders.

We called this shop at 9:00 am and they said to bring it in before lunch and they could have a look at our RV and have it out that afternoon. We limbed our RV into their shop shortly after 9:00 am. Left our RV with them until noon, while we drove to eat breakfast and shop at some antique shops. We returned at 2:00 pm and they owner was busy talking to his staff about ways to order parts that might be cheaper for them. I waited for 30 in his sight while he continued his talk with the office staff. He finally addressed me and said he hadn't looked at it yet and didn't know what it would cost.We left again and returned at 4:00 pm the same afternoon. The owner was busy addressing the dissatisfaction of the customer in front of me. When my turn came he said, "When I know something you will know something." I then asked, "You haven't look at it yet?". The owner repeated with a harsh tone, "I said, 'When I know something, you will know something."I gave up, demanded my keys and I decided I would tow it to Denver before I would give that arrogant, abusive, low quality person a dime of my money.

Wow, after an exasperating phone call with Jim the owner this morning, I open the review preceding mine and it sounds like the same experience. DO NOT LET YOUR VEHICLE COME HERE! They overcharge like crazy and when I questioned Jim with a phone call, he also got immediately defensive with me and told me I got what I deserved for not taking care of my engine (it had died and AAA towed it here) and HUNG UP on me? Where does he get off talking to customers like that?! Whatever you do, don't let this place get its hands on your vehicle or you will be taken to the cleaners.I also plan to let AAA know of our experience...

Never take anything there first off took my 2001 5.9L Cummins to them for a blowen out transfer case. When I first dropped it off had to pay $1,650 for the part up front (no big deal) but they said it was going to take a week to get the part and 2 days to put it in. 3 1/2 weeks later they are finally done with it and charged me another $2,188.87. They charged me $104.95 to put in two bolts off the down pipe (they have fallen out before. It takes 10 min tops to put them in) I also had them fix my tps (sense I m not good with wires) I really don t know how much extra that was but got totally ripped off they say they put a new sensor in drives worse than when I took it to them.

I have taken my vehicle to Haller's twice in 6 months, once for major maintenance and once for a pre winter evaluation. They have been so helpful, honest and reasonable. As a female, I have had poor service at chain companies but after dealing with the gentlemen at Hallers, I will never go anywhere else.

I think the owner has a problem with females. The one time I was there, he ignored me as much as he could. A female friend stopped in a couple of days ago and had the same treatment. But I've noticed he has always been polite and helpful to my husband. I personally will never set foot in this business again, and would not recommend Haller's to any of my friends... especially female friends.

My wife broke down on a Friday and the part she needed could not be delivered until Monday at the earliest. Hallers went out of their way to accommodate her and provide for her comfort and security. The repair was done correctly and at a reasonable price.I would have no problem with recommending their service. Thank you Haller's Repair.

I read the bad reviews but called anyway as they were only rv shop I could find. Boy were those reviews right. The guy on the phone was flippant and condescending to me within two minutes. Apparently I made the mistake of asking if it could be fixed today as I'm just passing through town. The shop guy then insisted, mockingly, that I diagnose what part was broken so he could tell me if it was in stock. Basically throwing the question back in my face to show me what a dumb question it was. All he had to say was we don't know if we can fix it today until we know what's wrong. I am not a particularly sensitive guy, this was simply over the top lack of customer service.
