Hands down the best service and compassion. Transmission issues and Robert had a couple options for us. Being from out of town with a little kid and dogs, Robert kindly loaned us a vehicle while we waited.

Not the first time I've been here for transmission issues, and wont be the last. These are good, honest folks. They get right to the issue, no nonsense, get me out in a timely fashion, and the repairs last. Fortunately, all the work has been easy fixes, but they are always honest about it.

My wife's suv broke down and she went to this transmission shop. They went above and beyond to get her rolling but would take time to get the part. So they took it upon themselves to drive her to uhaul and help her unload a trailer into a box truck as she's 7mths pregnant. I would recommend this shop to any and everyone, they have so much kindness in thier hearts. Thank you so much to Dayton Transmission repair!!!!!!

These guys are top notch. We have been having the automatic transmission on our 2001 dodge 24 valve cummins serviced here for 20 years. It has 300k miles on it and is in great shape. They always shoot you straight, get your vehicle right in, and are reasonably priced. We recently had our 2001 sit at another shop for 2 months (while they removed and replaced parts but did NOT find and fix the problem, and, in fact, created the problem). We didn't think we had a transmission issue, which is why we didn't originally go to Dayton. Finally got it out of that shop, went straight to Dayton thinking, well hell, maybe it is the transmission. They looked over the invoice from the prior shop, actually listened to our opinion on the issue, took it for a drive, found and fixed the problem (not the transmission), and charged us $0, all on the same day the pickup arrived. I liked them before. I love them now. I will always give these folks my business. Genuinely good people running an excellent business.

They were detail-oriented requesting my VIN number to make sure they had the right parts when I wanted the service done. They had it done on time at a fair price for the service

The owner was amazing - I was making a trip from CA to Minneapolis and my truck started having troubles about 30 miles out of town.. these guys spent 45 min with me, even though the issue wasn t the transmission - put the scanner on it, took it for a test drive, and called a neighboring shop that was swamped and asked him to take a peek at my truck for me . When I tried to pay him, he refused to take any money because he didn t fix my problem - but in the end he facilitated the repair of my truck. Trust these guys, can t get any more honest than this.

We were stranded 2000 miles from home with a bad transmission. A local dealer told us they could fix it but no idea when. Robert came to the dealership and ordered us a new transmission on the spot. He was able to get our truck fixed in just a few days. He was kind, professional and courteous at all times. He kept us informed every step of the way. His son did an excellent job on our truck. We could not be happier with their work. We recommend this shop very highly. They not only do great work but are good people.Service: Transmission

Brought my truck in to get the transmission fixed. When we got the truck back it wouldn t shift and was leaking transmission fluid. Multiple people have reported the same. They told us we had to replace a cable so we did, and nothing changed. They told us to replace a sensor, and nothing changed. When we brought it in the final time they basically told us it s our fault and there s nothing they can do.Service: Transmission

Excellent customer service, great pricing, great with communication and got us in quick. Our truck broke down in the middle of a camping trip and we had it towed here on recommendation. The shop got us in same day, was able to provide a quick diagnostic and confirm a few things we suspected. then worked extremely hard to get us a great turn around time since we'd be taking separate trip back to pick up the vehicle. Overall highly recommend!Service: Transmission

Took my car in for something I thought was a transmission issue, and the technician drove it and told me it wasn't one and recommended a place for engine work. I am very impressed with this shop. I would definitely recommend

We lost our Jeep's transmission in Custer State Park. On a recommendation from a cousin who lives in Casper WY, we towed our Jeep there. My husband drove it in low the .9 mile to Dayton Transmission. Excellent service! I noticed a sudden problem with my transmission one evening and called at 8:00 the next morning, they had me in and out of the shop by 12:30 with the transmission shifting smoother than ever. Turns out a piece had broke and I had completely lost second gear. They found the problem and fixed it quickly, serviced the transmission while it was there, and all at what I think is a very reasonable price. I will definitely use these guys again for any future transmission repair work.

Had a major breakdown on my 05 Ford Explorer Sport track. They were the only transmission shop in town who could get me in right away. They had to find some of the parts to repair my truck and went out of their way to fine them. Kept me informed on what was going on. They even brought us to the car rental company and then picked me up at the hotel when it was finished. Very nice and friendly people. The price was very fare.

Had some issues with my truck on a trip from Michigan. They got me in immediately even though the parking lot was full and did a diagnostic for free. You can just tell by talking to people whether they care or not and these guys definitely care. Thank you for understanding my circumstances and working with me. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to let them work on my vehicle.

May not be what it used to be for transmission work... returned my classic truck to me overful, shifting harder and still leaking transmission fluid!! Paid 700 and am not confident to take it back to them to let them try and do it right the second time

We ran out of gas on the side of the road and I luckily flagged the owner of this business, he helped us right away and sent someone with fuel. We are so thankful for him and his employee Good humans for sure!!

The guy's here were great my husband &I were stranded out of State our transmission was having problems. They were so nice & got us in fixed our transmission in one day so we could get back on the road . Thank you to all the guy's at Dayton Transportation

I m new to town and had no idea where to go for a transmission replacement, these guys were patient with me while I searched around, were available right away, and did all my repairs for less than the quoted cost. They were so good to work with, I couldn t recommend them more!

I brought my car in because the transmission oil light kept coming on. The tech plugged in and got a code that told him my celinoid was bad and I needed to replace the whole transmission to the tune of about $5500. I was told that only 4 or 5 shops in the whole country have the tools necessary to work on my Subaru transmission so it had to be replaced. I left to get a 2nd opinion. Later I looked up the code and there are more than a dozen reasons for that code including low fluid levels and simpler repairs. I took the vehicle to a Subaru dealership the next day and they cleaned a seriously dirty filter between my radiator and transmission, charged me $70 and sent me on my way. 400 miles later, no warning light. Problem solved. Dayton is either inexperienced or was trying to rip me off. I would never recommend them.

Took vehicle in for oil pan change and transmission service, was still leaky so took it back to find a component was pushing trans fluid out, got it replaced, so far so great. Will update if leak starts again but as of now. Solid work.
