Was super pleased with these guys. Knowledgeable, courteous, professional and fast. Brought my Toro snowblower in at 8:30 in the morning fearing I might have to wait weeks for it to get running again. Had an estimate an hour later and by mid-afternoon they said it was ready to pick-up. Might have gotten lucky with my timing, but I'm simply not used to this service. Thanks.

These guys are great. I took a customer Generac generator there to get a rusted in to the block spark plug that I was not able to get out in the site. They couldn t either and didn t want to get to far into with breaking it. They stepped away from it and said no charge. I insisted on paying they said. Ike we are good. They were always and for ever wi be my small engine shop.

I took my lawn tractor there and they called me and told me to pick it up it didn't start and run when I got there so I left it again it took them an additional 4 days to get back to me. And now that I have it at home it does not run the same as it did before I took it to them. It's a live and learn experience

If you need to purchase any type of equipment, these guys are great, and I have no doubt that the servicing is excellent as well based on the experience so far! Thanks for a great job

Scott did an excellent job with my Husqvarna Automower. He diagnosed the problem and went out of his way to fix it. I'm definitely going there for all my automower repairs or upgrades. Great place. Update: 2 years later and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to work on my Automower. Scott went above and beyond like usual to it going again. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable of the products and great to work with.

This place has the real deal you might as well buy all your yard working utensils from them because when you buy them from somewhere else and they break that's where you end up taking it anyway they handle their business and they even teach you how to repair your equipment this is a must-see attraction in Barton. Barton is way better than West Bend, yeah!

Great to have a local expert in town when in comes to repair and sales of lawn mowers, riding mowers and snow blowers. As the big box stores do lack in the expertise. My visit to Barton Small engine was due to getting ready for winter. Realized my snow blowers auger belt needed replacing. They were out of stock and had ordered a belt for me. They had it ordered and ready for pick-up in 2 days. When I picked up belt I also had brought in my 2 stage snow thrower for a tune up. It was very nice they had an employee help me get it out of my vehicle. Advised me they are about a month to 2 months behind and will work on my as soon as they can. I greatly appreciated up front honesty of timeline. I look forward to my snow thrower being fully tuned for ole man winter. Great bunch of guys at Barton Small Engine.

I brought my mower in on a Monday for a new pull cord and blade sharpening, and was told it would be about a two-day turn around. They had it back to me the very next afternoon, properly repaired, and reasonably priced. Very pleased and I will use them again when needed!

I end up going for small engine parts and chain saw chains fairly regularly at Barton small engine and repair shop. The counter help are usually very knowledgable. They are very helpful and frequently looking up part numbers and sizes for me. Occasionally, the younger clerks appear a little too busy for my questions, and that is why 4 instead of 5 stars.

We own a simplicity lawnmower that my father purchased several year s back from here. This is the only place we go for parts or maintenance. Everyone that I ve dealt with was helpful and got me in and out fast. After my husband wasn t able to replace a belt, I had to bring the mower in to have someone replace it for us. The gentleman helped me unload the mower from my trailer and pushed it into the shop. He fixed it and loaded it back into my trailer within 20 minutes, free of charge (Probably due to purchasing the belt through them). Customer service is spot on.

Barton Small Engine Repair used to be a good place. People were friendly courteous and very helpful. Something changed it's been over 3 weeks for my blower and they still have not looked at it or repaired it. They give the excuse that they're really busy and I can understand that sometimes but that seems to be the norm. I guess it's time to take your small engine repair stuff to a different repair shop. Too bad they're in a great location but their service is going downhill. I really hope they read these postings and do something about it.

Went there this morning after finding the time to go with my husband to pick out a new push mower, per the recommendation from a good friend. I called ahead of time, and spoke with a man who was extremely pleasant and polite - which gave me high hopes for our visit. However, when we (my husband, myself and our 4 kids) got there, we went and looked at the push mowers on display, and were just "killing time" thinking someone would come up and ask us for help sometime soon. After looking around, I see that an unspoken line had formed on the other side of the room, and that I told my husband to go get in line, apparently, since that was the only way to get service. He waited in line for and additional 42 minutes before being called "Next!" and when we told them we were here for a new push mower and wanted to "trade in" our current mower, we were told they didn't have a mechanic there to review our mower so it would have to be another day (mind you, I called ahead and was told we could come by ANYTIME during business hours). Fortunately another employee overheard and said no problem, he could help us. He walked out to look at our mower, told us verbally what they could offer towards our new mower, and we agreed. We followed him back in and he disappeared?!? We saw him come out twice to help others, and was even working on another mower for someone else that was behind us in line?! We waited for another 20 minutes, and nothing - he was in the back completely ignoring the fact that we were waiting to pay. We left aggravated with the poor customer service, lack of attention from staff and without a mower. We simply planned to come in, purchase a new $400 mower and be out the door with the mower in less than 20 minutes. It was have been an easy sell for them with us, and now they lost that to a competitor. We will not waste our time and ever return here.

Gave them a troublesome zero turn to fix. Took a couple tries but they got it right and handled everything like pro's. I completely trust these guys to work on my stuff.

if I could leave less than 1 star I would.. told us our pressure washer was junk.{ They had had it for over a week . It had only been used a few times,} they said they would dispose it for us, or we could pick it up for $15.00, my husband did not feel right about it so he went and paid the $15.00 and picked it up. after further inspection we could tell they had not even removed any of the screws, within a few minutes a friend had it running perfectly.

Called early in the week to order 7 quarts of Hy-Tran fluid. The man on the phone promised they would have it in stock and so he wasn't going to make a special order. I showed up and they didn't have it. It was a very long drive and a lot of my time wasted. I have purchased things from them in the past and will never go back. Guess my next tractor will be a Simplicity!

Never try and fix your stuff yourself, save yourself the time and money and take it here. They are so cheap, I shake my head every time I see how little they charge. Small town values with low prices. They stand behind everything they do. Will always recommend them

Chainsaws & outdoor equipment, wouldn't go elsewhere. Generators they don't service, even if just the engine side.
