A family run business and the best mechanic I have ever had. He takes care of my vehicle, so I never have to worry about the maintenance. He is also decent and honest, so you can trust him. Won't let anyone else touch my car.

Tracey's always goes above and beyond! I have worked with Tracey's for a long time, and they always do a great job explaining the repairs/issues and they are always honest. I recently had some issues with my Jeep Grand Cherokee and Tracey explained what the problem was and why it was happening. Additionally, he was able to get me in on short notice to complete the repairs in a reasonable amount of time. There was even one time when I took my vehicle in for an oil change and they noticed a small chip in the paint and put some touch-up paint over it! I am so thankful for the work Tracey's does, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

Tracey has always done amazing work for both myself and my family for over 25 years now and has always done exemplary work. They make sure you are getting the best service and parts while making sure to give you all information at any stage maintenance. They go over quotes with you as well to make sure you are aware of what you're looking at in price range so that you are not surprised at the end. He stands by his work, and that's rare to find.Update 11/17/23:Still as amazing as always! Will gladly say in contact with you and keep you updated during the whole process and is always upfront about pricing still

The golden standard of repair/value communication and customer service clear and transparent friendly professionalism, no backyard mechanics here, no off the streets kids working on your car here, no fluff just the right stuff, no shady pushy or condescending sales or staff here, just professional people who know how to treat you in the most respectful manner and don t treat you like an idiot, they don t try to pull shady stuff like the other local chop shops, trying to scam you need this and that replaced or repaired when it doesn t need to be.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

I'll keep this short, as I could go on and on about the quality service these guys have provided me over the last few years. Tracey, Kris, and the rest of the guys are good honest folks with an unrivaled work ethic. What keeps me coming back? Honest work, good prices, great communication, fast turn around time. Simple yet effective.

Tracey and his staff have always been helpful and flexible. Two great attributes when looking for an auto mechanic. He has the knowledge and expertise to identify and fix any problem that I've ever experienced with my vehicle(s). One of the things I appreciate most is that Tracey will let you know what needs fixing now, as well as what can wait or what to keep an eye on so that I can understand and prepare for what may need repair or replacement further down the road. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful exhaust work. They go above and beyond to make sure every aspect is looked at and corrected to the highest of standards.Don't be turned off by their almost rude way of communicating, they are mechanics not customer service representatives. If you can put up with a little bit of a cocky attitude, it will be well worth it for you in the end.They corrected the flaws created by previous shops and left me very satisfied by the work they had none where all others had failed.If you are looking for custom exhaust work, look no further than Tracey's Automotive.If they give you a price quote, just be happy with it because it will be done right the first time and will be well worth the money. Going elsewhere to save $20 will only end up costing you hundreds more in the long run.

They do excellent work here. They are very busy so it's not easy to get an appointment when you want it but worth the wait. Good customer service. Very thorough work always on my vehicles.

bought break pads and roaders for all four tires and as they where fixing those they informed me that a break line had rusted thru so had to get that done also... total for all that came to $481 and some change!!!! not bad at all!!! this is by far the best mechanic I've ever delt with in my entire life and will be the only one i go to now. they are very honest and fair with their prices and are not just there to make a buck which is very rare nowadays. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL FOREVER TELL PEOPLE TO GO HERE IF THEY NEED WORK DONE!!!!Service: Brakes

Tracey is very detail oriented and always gets the job done perfectly before you pick up your car. It's great to be able to talk to person who will be working on your car instead of some counter person. Tracey takes the time to answer all your questions and concers and provides honest feedback and suggestions of what he thinks. He also takes the time to keep you updated throughout the entire process with status updates and makes sure everything is going the way you would like. Sure he probably charges a little bit more than most chain style shops and there can be a couple day wait to get your car into the shop (says something about his perfectionism and long line of loyal clients) but it is absolutely worth it in order to recieve the second to none service and having the confidence that everything is going to be done perfect the FIRST time. This is a complete contrast to most shops who couldnt give a damn about you or your car and want you out the door ASAP as long as they got your money. What more can i say? Just a great honest shop that does great work...

My car broke down when I was 4 hours away from home and I could not feel more blessed to have coincidently ended up at Tracey's! Tracey along with the woman in the office were beyond exceptional. Tracey saw I was a little shaken up and try to calm me down by showing me what exactly the problem was - even made a video for me as he took out the part so I could understand what he was doing. Both Tracey and woman in the office made me feel relaxed and comfortable despite the unfortunate event. After a few hours in the shop, Tracey was able to get my car back on the road that night. As I was leaving, the woman emphasized to call the shop in the case that I had any further troubles on my way home. Very family-like feel! Truly could not have asked for better service!

Had muffler, exhaust work done for a third of the price quoted elsewhere. Quick turnaround, reasonable pricing, very friendly. Will be our go to for all work going forward.

Live going here, the prices are cheaper than any other repair shop I've got quotes from for what I neede done. Tracys is one of the very few shops that will imstall parts you buy, and treat you very well. The only downfall I have experienced is that it can be hard to be able to talk to office lady. I never leave messages anymore because you may not get a call back in awhile unless your behicle is already there.

Always used them in the past, but now they don't return phone calls or answer voicemails left after several attempts. If they don't need the work right now you could at least call people back and not leave them hanging. I got a text message saying a quote would be prepared but even that person disappeared. Bizarre....

Hands down the BEST auto shop in Wausau. Tracey has unbelievable knowledge and fixes a car right the first time. Excellent and honest. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else

What can i say honest work and everyone i talk to loves them. But honesy i literally tried to throw money at them and set appointments but they never seem to call me back or answer the phoneUpdate: 9-1-2017 love them they are doing a a wax undercoat looking forward to getting it.

We broke down about a mile away from this place on our way up north. They were incredibly nice. They found us a cheap hotel and gave us a ride there. Even fixed our car in one day!

I went in for a diagnostic because it was so highly praised. I was not impressed. I had to call back 3 times and still did not get an appointment.

great helpful people could have explained what they did and still need to do. kinda left me confused about everything other than that no problems so far I will make my last post when the job is done on Monday.
