Brian was very kind and took the time to explain issues to me about my vehicle when I didn't understand. I like that they gave me options for products to give me the option of different price rates as well that fit my financial budget. Great experience overall and definitely recommend!

It was a pressure to meet them I just moved here from the East coast. I got one quote for $414.00 Dollars for buying a battery and installed that's nuts they did it all within 25 minutes for $277.00 .From here on out I will return to them great service and friendly people .

I was appreciative that they could accommodate me when I had a dead battery on the same day it died. While there, they also did an oil change. I have been using them to service my car & have been satisfied with their work. Pricing....no clue on how they compare but I am sure there will be higher & lower prices among all the service places. Sometimes you just need to get the job done and they have been accommodating. I hope I can trust they are giving me fair pricing.Service: Oil change

I came in with a dreadful noise emanating from my car. I, of course, imagined the dent my savings were going to take as nothing is cheap. The folks at Griesbach found the problem was just a bolt kicked up from the road had lodged between my rotor and the caliper. They charged me for diagnosis and nothing else. I appreciate the efficiency and honesty.

Had good service prior to this week. Called to see if I could get trans drain and filter fluid change on vw. They said I'd have to bring it in to see if they could do. Did that and hours later got a call saying they could do the service for 1100 dollars or so. Vw charges 450 last time I had it done.. told them dealer was much cheaper then to get my car back had to pay 8t dollars for them to assess if they could do the work. Ridiculous.

Their service is great and they are helpful and polite but they quoted me about $400 to recharge my AC with 1234yf. I went with them because that was about $100 cheaper than the dealer but when I got the bill it was almost $600! $100 more than the dealer, I was kind of disappointed. Then they did a free inspection which was appreciate. They found I needed new brakes and quoted $1600 which seems high to me. Anyhow I am glad to have the AC working but I won't be using then again, I will go straight to the dealer.

This place is expensive. Good service, but found the same repairs for 50% cheaper from another decent sized repair shop. I took 3 vehicles here and spent about $1000 on repairs. The last vehicle I did not do the repairs recommended due to cost and it was almost $100 charge just for the inspection. Over the phone I was led to believe that they would call me before incurring costs. Good service, but not remotely competitive pricing. I m going elsewhere in the future.

The service is the best here. I know that I am not getting ripped off whenever I take my cars here. The associates call and talk over the diagnostic report and don t pressure you into getting work done that is not needed. I will always take my car to Griesbach s!

Thanksgiving 2021 we were visiting the Wausau area when our battery failed on our '08 MB. We were visiting Wausau as a potential place to retire and the service that we received from Brian and the entire team showed us that day certainly left us with a very favorable impression of the town and the people that live and work in the area. Presently we are living in the Raleigh / Durham, NC area for work. We have family in Wisconsin and are still considering retiring to the Wausau area but not for another 3 to 5 years. Should we decide to move to Wausau I can assure you that I will be making appointments with Griesbach Auto for the servicing of our vehicles. They provided excellent service at an affordable price! Once again Griesbach Auto Service Inc. Wausau has helped me keep my 2003 Toyota Camry in tip top shape, which keeps me safe in my travels and gives me peace of mind. They performed the 90,000 mile checkup and replaced both axle shaft assemblies and front brakes. I really appreciate their excellent service and attention to detail ... they even replaced a tire stem cap I recently lost! Griesbach Auto Service is top notch with their customer service and technician experience! Every time I need to go there, the staff is friendly, informative, and do the job right the first time. My 2006 Ford Ranger currently has over 240,000 miles on it and looks, runs, and drives, as good or better than when I bought it 10 years ago with the help of Griesbach Auto. I had an engine cover under my car that was cracked and hanging almost touching the ground. I went to the dealership and they wanted to replace two covers under my car at a cost of over $300. I went to Griesbachs and they did a simple fix that didn t cost me anything. I trust them with what they say needs to be done and they do not pressure you to do the maintenance. Overall very happy with their service and professionalism. On a very positive note, Brian helped me select the correct tires for my car based on what my needs were. He explained the benefits of each tire option available and I'm very happy with the results. I could tell he knew exactly what he was talking about. Staff extremely courteous and friendly. However I came in and told them exactly what was wrong with the vehicle. Diagnostic fees were 130 to verify and labor was outrageous. Inner and outer tire rod and 1 sensor (60 bucks). Total bill was almost $1,100. This was the second time I used their services and second time I felt ripped off by their fees.Service: Steering & suspension repair

This is my first visit at Griesbach's, I was impressed with the patience they had with me with all my questions as I searched for a mechanic I felt I could trust. I was given a reliable lender car while my work was done and drove away at the end of the day with a quiet car and confidence my issues were fixed ( a brake job and oil flush). I was also educated on how to prevent further problems as my goal was to keep my car until my 10 year warranty ran out. Not really knowing what the cost of the job should be, I trusted that the pricing was fair. My son ( who does most of his own mechanicl car repairs) asked what my final bill was. When I told him, he said," Geez, that's pretty good, maybe I should take my vehicles there." Being a woman, it is not easy finding honest solutions, but I feel I may have found an answer for any of my vehicle issues.

When looking at the Google reviews prior to taking my car in, I figured that I would have a good experience. Unfortunately, I did not and do not plan on going there again.In the future I will definitely call around after getting an estimate to compare to other places because I feel I was overcharged. Then I had to come back because there were problems as well as no window washer fluid added to my car with my oil change. I purposely wait to get my oil changed until I run out of window washer fluid to make sure that the fluids are checked (I never go over the miles between oil changes).I did not deal with the owner directly so maybe I would have been treated better if I had. I had even gotten a recommendation from a family member of the owners.In the future I will drive out of town to have my car done by family that I trust. Then I know all my fluids will be checked and I will be charged reasonably.

We were going camping when we got close to Wausau our abs and break lights came on. I looked for repair shop and Griesbach Auto Service was the closest, it was 430 pm and they were due to close soon! They did not hesitate to help us out! They let us park our camper next to their building and plug us in for the night as we had to wait for parts to come! Their willingness to help and get us back on the road along with their hospitality was amazing! Prices are comparable and reasonable! They truly went above abd beyond to help us!!
