My vehicle needed repairing. A local garage quoted me $4,700. My vehicle was well maintained but 18 years old. I certainly didn t want to spend that amount. I took it to Rob. He told me the part I needed. I ordered it. When the part arrived, I dropped it off to Rob. Within 48 hours, my car was repaired and back in my possession at a fraction of the first quote s cost, saving me thousands! Rob is intelligent and very knowledgeable in his repair work. He doesn t suffer fools in his shop. If you want to judge quality of repair work by a clean waiting room or a 24 hour repair window turn around, then Rob is not for you! If you can drop off your vehicle, allow him the time to do the work and appreciate how well your vehicle runs without shelling out thousands, then Rob is your guy.

If I could I would leave him a zero he is untrustworthy he said get done but he does not he will just let vehicle sit their for days or week he takes to many vehicles he can't handle

I was told by Rob that he could not get to my car for at least two weeks and I was fine with that, but before two weeks were up he called me and told me to get my car out of there. He never looked at it to let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost to repair it. He was very rude using foul language so I went and picked it up right away fearful he may damage it beyond repair.

Wow!! Saturday afternoon, traveling home from vacation, lost belt & pulley wheel...Google brought me to Rob/Budget.Super nice, like a neighbor. In 1.5 hrs we were on our way home...very reasonable $, had to pay him more $.Hope Rob's manner is contagious and spreads like covid!...try to break down near WausauService: General repairs & maintenance

Great guys, won't you over,(pun intended)honest,best prices. They'll keep ya going affordably as possible. More reliable than your friends. But be patient they are busy guys. For a good reason. My exhaust completely broke in half.Dropped my truck off Saturday around closing time and was was fixed by Monday afternoon. No complaints. Definitely my go to guys. Prefer them over friends I trust and used to depend on because it's more reliable but just as affordable.

Always did great work for me. A real solid mechanic and AFFORDABLE! Even took the time to show me how to fix some things myself. Its a small garage that does Excellent work at prices that cant be matched. Ill never take my car anywhere else. Ive had 5 different repairs done and saved a ton of $. I cant recommend them enough.

We just had a radiator replaced and am really impressed at how everything was explained in detail to us, and then told we could pick it up the next afternoon. The final bill beat my other estimates by alot. Thank you so much!!!!

I wish I could put more stars on here. He went above and beyond the help with my car. Especially when we were from out of town and wanted to help us get back home and safely.

Told me he would order my parts and after a week he said they weren't in. After two weeks he told me he didn't know he was supposed to order them. He said he would check and call me back in 15 minutes and never called back. To diagnose it initially he told my fiance to come down and he did. Then he said he wasn't ready to come back in an hour and he did that 3 times just to diagnose. I don't have 3 months to wait on somebody to get basic work done.

I had called here and spoke with the owner the first time around. He seems knowledgeable and inviting. After explaining my issue he said he would get back with me with some answers. He did call but didn't leave a message. I tried to call him right back, no answer. I left a VM. It was never returned, I tried to call back again after a few days, left a VM, again never returned. I went with another mechanic. Sadly though based on other reviews the reliability and communication of this place seems to be lacking.

Was having exhaust issues, every place I called wanted to charge me just to diagnose the issue. Budget Auto had me bring in my vehicle and told me the issue without charging me, they then immediately called to see how much parts were going to be and also gave me the option of ordering the parts myself because they would be less expensive. They told me what parts to order and quoted me a price for labor. I ordered them and brought my vehicle back in once the parts arrived and they fixed the issue and charged me exactly what they quoted me for labor which was very reasonable. Would highly recommend Budget Auto.Service: Exhaust

I always get great service Rob knows cars and will give you the fairest price there is . Its nice to know if your not a car buff there is somebody that won't take advantage of that. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER:)

I had a timing belt start going out on my vehicle, now I don't know enough about engines to not ruin one in the process of a more complicated repair like this, so I started calling around. Being new to the Wausau area I called 8 different places and the owner of Budget Auto Repair & Performance was the only one who told me I could get it done cheaper if I bought the parts myself and just paid for the labor, so as to avoid the markup on parts costs through mechanics. Parts included, he came out to almost $100 cheaper than the lowest estimate, an average of $200-300 cheaper than his competition, and a whopping $980 cheaper than the highest estimate I received. Additionally, he also discovered the source of a knocking noise in my engine and informed my wife of what it was and the cost for the parts when we picked it up in case if we decided to have it permanently repaired in the future; simply putting in a temporary support band around the part to conceal the sound being caused by the separate issue for the time being. Finding honest mechanics is something that can be an issue, but the guy here is one of them and has certainly ensured my family's business in the future.

VERY SORRY FOR THE BAD REPORT I GAVE BUDGET...IT WAS A MISTAKE....THESE GUYS DID A GOOD JOB ON MY CAR AND MY WIFES CAR...PRECISION BODY AND FRAME ON 1509 POST AVE IS WHO I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT WHICH LED ME TO BUDGET AND I WILL ALWAYS COME BACK TO BUDGET FOR MY AUTO WORK ...THEY ARE FAST AND DONT TRY TO CHEAT YOU....DO NOT GO TO PRECISION BODY AND FRAME ON 1509 POST AVE......SORRY FOR THE ERROR GUYS
