Extremely reliable place to take your car to get serviced/repairs. They are beyond reasonable and up front with costs and for the most part have been same day service for me unless there is a part that is necessary to order, which it is then a next day thing. I have had zero issues and always feel confident driving off their lot after getting any issues fixed that I have.Super appreciate this place for the trustworthiness, quick communication, and knowledge they provide.

In September last year we purchased a 2012 Honda CRV from CarMax, and we paid for the extended warranty to cover repairs, with a low deductible...just in case. We recently heard a strange noise when turning at low speeds and so we looked at the Repair Pal list of mechanics that will work with them, not a very big list, and David's was the closest and they had the first available opening. I'm so glad we took it to them. It turned out to be a wheel bearing issue and they got the part and repaired it quickly. They also inspected the rest of the vehicle and found that both air filters had signs of rodents (something that the 120 point Car Max inspection should have probably noticed) so they replaced them too. Then they noticed another sound and it came to be that it needed a new rear differential. The warranty company covered so much of our repair bill, and we only were charged for the filters. We had a loaner, but for much longer than they normally have loaners out for. The long delay was because instead of letting David's get the rear differential in a few days and getting it back to us in that first week, the warranty company decided they were going to be shipping it because they could get a cheaper price, and it was delayed for a week and a half.Long review short, we really appreciated the patience of the staff at David's, they were kind and professional, they were very communicative with calls and text alerts. They were annoyed by the red tape of waiting for the part but we felt like they were truly on our side, they wanted to really get our vehicle working and had our backs. And there is a really cute dog. I gave them 5 stars because I don't know what they could have done better. They simply went above and beyond and now the car is great. I hope it's a long time until I need more service but whenever that is, I know where I'll take it.

Our experience with David s was excellent! They were up front about charges and communicated very well. They literally saved us thousands of dollars by properly diagnosing the problems and fixing the issues in a timely manner. Receiving real time updates via text message was a great feature. We would absolutely recommend David s!

These guys are the best. I woke up to a flat tire (picked up a sharp rock) and needed a repair asap. After calling several service stations and tire stores in the area they were very understanding and said to bring the tire in and they would fix it before the end of the day (all others said it would be done by the next day). So, I brought the tire in with the expectation of having it fixed by the end of the day. When I got there 10 minutes after I called they said they had time to do it right away if I could wait. 10 minutes later I was on my way with my repaired tire. This experience GREATLY exceeded my expectations. The staff was cool and courteous and the cost was less than expected. DCar is now my go to for auto and truck repair. Keep up the good work guys!

I have been going to David s Certified Auto Repair for nearly two years and have never been disappointed. Steve and Paul at the front counter are highly professional, and the service provided is beyond comparison. Everything is fully explained to me before dropping off my car and after coming to pick it up! Prices are very fair, and an added perk is that they also help with a car loaner if needed! As the owner of a 15-year-old vehicle, I completely trust the service recommendations and know that the DCAR team is looking out for my safety and pocketbook.I would recommend David s Certified Car Repair to everyone who needs car maintenance/repair services with a trustworthy team of people. Extremely pleased with my experience at DCAR. I came here because no one else was open when I would normally be done with work but I'm glad I came here. They had a loaner car available for me to have for the next day while they repaired a leak in my tire. Customer service is exceptional. Will be coming here for all future repairs needed!

I am never going to bother with this repair center again. Last vehicle I took there they messed around with for a month and couldn't get a turbo fixed. Recently in the middle of the subzero temperatures my truck heater went out. I brought it in to DCAR and they wouldn't even look at it for 5 minutes instead claiming I needed to go to the dealer bc they would have to charge $175/hr.Problem turned out to be a fuse. 5 mins

Last summer I scheduled the brakes to be replaced on my truck. DCAR offers a warranty and actually backs their warranty. In December I noticed my steering wheel shaking while braking so I called and they fixed everything free of charge. You don t get customer service like this very often anymore. They even told me about a bigger problem with the truck and came up with a plan.

I needed new tires and went to D-Car after using them to put my winter tires on last fall. The employees are amazing. They speak in terms that non-automotive people understand! I m pretty technically inclined at times but tires are way out of my comfort level! Paul in particular goes above and beyond to create a comfortable and good experience. The owner David is easy to talk to and his influence is apparent in his staff. I highly recommend D-Car! Straight shooters who will fix something if it can be fixed for a reasonable cost that makes sense! I trust their recommendations and will definitely be back for my cars service! I always have such a good experience at DCAR! They always keep it real, honest, efficient, and quick! I took my car in to get the AC fixed and ended up getting a call later that day that something else very important needed to be fixed as well. I was told it might take 3-4 days to fix, but it was done the next day! Paul Hughes is so knowledgeable, helpful, and honest! He answered all of my questions and advised me on what the best decision to make was. It s never fun to spend more money on repairs than you originally expected, but I always feel like I m in good hands when I take my car to DCAR and the work that is done on my car is always top notch! David's CAR has been my go to mechanic ever since moving to Waunakee a few years ago. They are communicative, helpful, and will do everything in their power to ensure that I walk away happy and comfortable in knowing my car is being taken care of. The prices are fair, and they are upfront about costs. I wouldn't recommend any other shop in the Madison area, and even though I'll be out of Waunakee soon, I will keep coming back to David's. A bonus, the waiting room is great and if it will be long repair, loaner cars are provided free of charge.Services: Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I've been using Dave's auto for years now and I don't think you can find a better service establishment anywhere in the Madison, Waunakee or surrounding areas. The folks are extremely friendly and will be as accommodating as need be to get your needs taken care of. They also have top of the line loner cars if needed. They'll put you in their system and send you reminders of upcoming service needs. In a nut shell, you can't find a better place to have your vehicle serviced.

My car was towed to David's after the transmission died. Unfortunately they don't do trans diagnostics- only new trans replacement. Estimate was $6-7k for new trans. I declined and next day had car towed to my home. Even though David's did not work on my car, they were friendly and offered suggestions for repairs elsewhere. Also they allowed my car to stay on their lot until I got another tow truck arranged. For that I am grateful.

They got my appointment scheduled right away! The day of they were very fast at completing the job. My favorite part was the complementary inspection. They did not hassle me to fix everything that was wrong but did go over a possible repair and what was more important. Just went in there with a friend to diagnose his Range Rover's electrical problems. Paul was upfront about inspection charges - one hour max before they would call to authorize any further work. In the end, they couldn't pinpoint the problem as they don't have Range Rover's proprietary diagnostic system but they didn't charge a penny for their work. Super happy with my last two experiences at DCAR. They got me on the schedule quickly and were able accommodate me when I had to stay for the service. Their new facility and waiting room is very nice, clean and comfortable. Made recommendations about future services I would need but were not pushy. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Great service, friendly and honest. Checked my car for leaking fluids, and loaned me a car. Called and told me it wasn t necessary to repair at this time. Didn t charge me for checking it over.I really appreciate their honesty, means so much!! Will be telling everyone I know about my awesome experience!!Check them out - you won t be disappointed!

A great experience bringing my Tesla in for a tire repair. I was able to schedule everything online and pick the best times for me. When I arrived they covered the details and well they thought we could probably repair the front left tire without a new one, I figured since I already placed the order for a new tire I just told them to go ahead with a brand new tire anyways. They have a comfortable lounge area to sit well it was being done, and made sure to check on me a few times to see if I needed anything. I appreciate the little things just as much as the very fair and upfront pricing. I will certainly be bringing my car in for any future repairs.

D-Car provides excellent service for the fleet of our small business. Timely, and the repairs are performed by the book as with our recent trailer wiring remedy on a work van. Kudos for all you do, and it's a relief knowing the vehicles return in perfect order. Have came to them for various tasks just to be turned down without a second thought. They have completed 2 tasks for me out of around the 7 or 8 I have reached out and asked about. Talked to other customers and was told they have never had a problem. Also told by ex workers they singled me out and the workers didn t understand why.

The only reason that I went here was because the commercial said a free loaner car. Now I put off repairs to my Jeep because I need to get to work and couldn't afford to not have my vehicle in doing that. But when I got there I couldn't get the loaner car because you need full coverage. They should have just said that on their commercial I would have never have gone there. I had a check engine light on which was diagnosed prior, so I knew exactly what repairs were needed. After their $165 diagnostics, a simple couple hundred dollar evap leak turned into a $2,900 event. I asked them to just fix the evap leak so I can be on my way, but they refused claiming of course, that if that One can't be fixed without the other. Mmm hmmm.

Underwhelmed!! DCar was highly recommended to me so I gave them a chance. I was told it would take 20 hours to fix my convertible top mechanism, the dealer fixed it in 3. I was also told the parts required to repair steering components were hard to find or unavailable, I found them online and ordered them myself. When I picked my car up, "$200 diagnostic charge", I noticed that the wrong make and model was listed on the ticket?? Everyone was very nice, I never met Dave. I am quite sure they are very capable fixing American cars. I wish them great luck in the future

Very nice guys but took I my car in for a heavy vibration at highway speeds. Over $3000 and a new drive shaft later.....still getting heavy vibration at highway speeds. Diagnosis was it would take more money to fix but couldn't guarantee problem would be solved. Just beware and I would recommend getting a second opinion on repairs.
