If you need car repairs and are in the Madison area, THIS IS THE PLACE! I am very apprehensive about auto shops but the people at Hometown are honest professionals that will be upfront and honest about the work, price, and they are very good communicators. Whenever I've called and they aren't available, they always call back before the end of the day. Always a great experience and I know my vehicle is in good hands.

In need of an immediate repair during a long trip, Hometown had the issue diagnosed and my car on the lift in a short amount of time. If I lived locally Hometown would be the shop I would use. The staff was friendly and efficient to meet my needs. I otherwise would have been stranded. I would not hesitate to use Hometown again

These guys are amazing! If your looking for a place that does honest work at an affordable price this is it. They over delivered on the time it would take to fix my car and made it very easy to coordinate pick up/drop off and payment.

We've been there twice with the Corolla, once to have a belt replaced and another time for a front bumper issue. They got us in quickly, worked hard to fix the problems, and charged a fair price. Would continue to go to Hometown for our vehicle care and would recommend others do the same.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Body & TrimServices: General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Fixed a loose Heat Shield for $37. Confident a chain mechanic would ve been at least twice that.

Owner is very nice, have taken my car in for brake work before. Called today to schedule a fix for a potential oil leak and he gave straightforward advice and recommendations before we had even confirmed if I wanted the appointment or not. First place I genuinely enjoy taking my car to :)Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Honest & friendly locally owned shop. Fair prices and will not push up-sells or pressure you into unnecessary work or repairs. I've taken my car here many times over the years for regular maintenance, both small and large repairs and would highly recommend them.

Great response to fix our car first thing on Monday after we dropped it there this weekend without notice. Polite, responsive, reasonable when we really had no other option, would recommend them 10x over.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Amazing! Best service I have had in a long time. I was having a problem with one of my tires and called to see if I could get it in and they were booked up but he said if I brought it in he would take a look at it. When I got there he did get to it in a few minutes and my tire was not fixable so he checked to see if he had one that he could put on my car , he found on and put it on for me. Service was great the price was great and highly recommended them!

We've had only the best experiences here. Hometown has my full trust. We keep our cars about a dozen years, and Hometown has been extremely straightforward with us about which repairs are necessary and, importantly, what work can safely be put off. Todd and Greg are super diagnosticians! Pricing is fair, and the work has always been solid. We started using Hometown after two (!) bad experiences with Verona's other garage business a few blocks away.Go to Hometown. Be happy! Call ahead for an appointment.

When I first stopped by, Todd instantly (and accurately) diagnosed my car's issues based only on my verbal description. He had to order some parts (I needed a wheel bearing and a side mirror replaced), so we scheduled a time for a week out. I dropped my car off that morning and it was done in about 3 hours. The price was very reasonable. I spent about as much for both the wheel bearing and mirror replacement as I would have for just the wheel bearing replacement at a major automotive chain, based on that chain's quote.

My family and I have been going to Hometown for over 10 years and have never had a complaint. They are very honest and reasonable. Todd and the crew have helped me far more than I would expect any shop to including offering (without me asking) to retrieve the aftermarket wheels from an old beater that they helped me junk. They only do the work that's required and never try to upsell unnecessary services. Always highly recommended!

I don't often write reviews but when I was looking up the number for Hometown I saw a couple of negative reviews and had to throw in my two cents. This place is by far the best auto shop that I have ever been to. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly (somehow they always remember my name), and they are very fast, often getting me in the same day that I call. I was surprised to see one reviewer complain about "no free estimates." There has been more than one occasion that I've taken my truck in with a check engine light or other minor issue and they've checked it out without even charging me. If it doesn't need to be fixed, they will tell you instead of making unnecessary repairs. If you give them a try you'll likely see the honesty and quality of work that I'm talking about.

This place absolutely ROCKS! Great service and really reasonable rates. I had some trouble with parts that they installed and the issue was resolved promptly with no added expense to me. Honest, fast, fair.... You really can't go wrong at Hometown Auto.

I didn't used to write reviews for companies on google. Hometown Auto Clinic has changed my mind all on its own.I came in with a few issues. Both my front lights were out. My driver side door window's motor was dying, and the hydraulics on the hood of my car were shot. I came in with a set of headlights ready to use for my car. I waited in their tiny little waiting room while they worked on my car. The room itself wasn't the Ritz-Carlton, but who goes to an auto-clinic expecting the office to be 5 stars? After about 30 minutes, they told me that the headlights I purchased weren't exactly the right size. The mechanic showed me the burnt out model I had in my car next to the unused ones I had bought. He was right that they were ever so slightly different. They ended up giving me a couple spare bulbs they had around the shop, and didn't' charge me a cent for changing the bulbs or the bulbs themselves. For the other two issues, I believe they charged me about 50 dollars for rebuilding the motor in the driver side window, which seemed more than fair because they had to put in a whole new motor along with the labor. I believe replacing the hydraulic holds on the hood would have cost me an extra 50 dollars, but I elected not to do that and they didn't pressure me on it for a moment.I have never had a better experience with an auto clinic. The only regret I have was not remembering to leave them the spare bulbs I had bought. I have no use for them, and they gave me ones for free, so I figured I would at least leave those. Best car-experience I've ever had. They almost make me wish I had more care problems.

I've never written a google review in my life, but this place deserves one! I needed one of the window run channels replaced on my car, and I got a quote of $165 + tax from Todd ($85 for part, $80 for about an hour labor), which was nearly the best estimate I got (I did get another "under the table" quote for $150 in cash, but the place was all the way across town). I set up an appointment and waited in the waiting room. Turns out it only took them 15 minutes to do the change! Rather than charge me the full amount, they reduced my labor cost from $80 to just $20!!! Real honest people here who do good work. The fix looks great, and I paid a good price for it too. Will come here everytime!!!

Scheduled to have work done on my vehicle and had a few questions. Boss was very friendly and worked with my schedule and answered all my questions honestly and to the very best of his ability. Definitely willing to go back and have only heard great things about them from others

Honest, wonderful, fast, and affordable are just some of the words I would use to describe this repair shop. They helped me out quick when my engine light came on after work, was able to bring my car home in less than an hour. If I lived closer, I would be a regular customer

My whole family and I take our vehicles to Hometown. My sister even comes from Milwaukee to have her vehicle worked on. I have many times been told by other shops I need a bunch of work when I have taken it in to Hometown they said that I did not need any of the work done. After repeatedly getting ripped off by other auto repair shops I will only ever go to Hometown. They are honest, reasonable and fair. Because they are so busy it may seem like they are in a hurry to get you checked in... however I just get the impression they want to get back to work not sit and chat. I highly respect the staff there and feel like I am getting an honest deal.

I live an hour away from this garage and still drive over. Used to live in Verona but don't anymore. They are honest, have reasonable prices, listen well to my concerns and are patient in their answers when I don't understand "motor" language well. I had them look over a potential new car purchase (didn't go ahead based on their opinion.) I have referred friends to them who also don't live nearby and told them it's worth the drive!

Had a "Check Hybrid System" warning show up which disabled my Lexus CT200h. So glad to have talked to Joe and have him take a look at it-- turns out he's been working on the hybrids since the early Prius. A really intelligent and knowledgeable guy, plus he's a true diagnostician. He's not someone who just replaces parts in the hopes it would solve the problem. He took the time to go through the possible causes of my issue which led to a much less costly solution than an inverter replacement.

I called Hometown auto thinking that I could get in hopefully in a week or so for an oil change and they had a same day appointment for me and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Great service, great prices. I will definitely be returningService: Oil changeService: Oil change

These guys were great! Went in on Friday at 11 for a coolant hose without an appointment and they had it fixed up by 4pm. Very reasonably priced as well!

Honest. Brought my car in to check on squeaky brakes. They found that the brakes were just fine, and didn't charge me anything! Also, whatever they did seems to have stopped the squeak. I'll be back to these guys.

The best place to have your automotive needs taken care of. I have come here many times with issues on my vehicle and they have taken care of it everytime quick and clean. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly suggest this local automotive company if you can.

Was told to take my car to another place. Had a CPS to replace on a kia. Were told that this is the place for great service from the parts stores. arrived-they were busy, we stood there waiting for them. someone passed us, okay he must going home. came back, rudely asked us what do we need. Told him, said it wouldn't be until next week. Wondered maybe what day? "maybe Wednesday" okay 8 days away, we said okay-made the apt. fortunately we do have another car to use. It was very clear they busy-we get it, we understand it would be sometime to have it done. I work 10 hr days and pick up extra shifts, my husband works a very physical job. Sometimes a simple nice expression or nice way of putting things goes a long way. we called AVE AUTO-the guy was nice, said sure bring in on Monday. no brainer-going with Ave Auto-simple part, simple procedure. we know it's not much for the part and it is not a big job but Ave Auto was nice-they could of said "we'll squeeze in 9 days" we'd take.

These guys do great work at a great price. Never had any issues and they are skilled at fixing all sorts of issues! They remind me of the small town shop I used to go to! I recommend all my friends to go here.
