I had a great experience here. Brandon was great on the day we purchased. Has a small issue a day later and spoke to Mike, he was awesome. They really worked hard to make sure we were happy. I would definitely look here for my next used vehicle purchase. Fair, honest and easy going! Pretty good selection as well if you're in the market for a used PU truck!

Do not waste your time and money with this place. I bought a car from them after repeatedly being told of how great condition it was in, and how there was no issues at all. It didn't take but 10 mins of driving down the HWY before the engine light came on.It turned out to be a serious issue and the fix will cost me almost half of what I paid for the car. This isn't a case of bad luck, these guys cleared the code and pulled out all the tricks in the book to get this car off the lot at my expense. Be smart and be careful.

This place is a dump- Tried to be honest with the two "gentlemen" that seemed to run the place but they just appeared and acted dishonest and greasy. Especially the one who had mustard stains on his shirt and face.While "inspecting" a car I was potentially going to trade in, he stained my cars steering wheel and seatbelt. When I asked him why he did it, he just chuckled, coughed into his hand, wiped it on his leg and shrugged stating that it was already like that when he got into my car. Both their desks were cover in garbage and unorganized paperwork. The truck I came to look at was not in the condition as stated on-line. Like, severe leaks, a malfunctioning seatbelt, failed brakes. Trusting this dealership is dangerous. They lied about multiple vehicles being available and the vehicle conditions. Once I finally made the almost 2 hour drive to look at the truck(s), they all turnout to need repairs or were not as advertised. I would stay away from this place unless they have something you're REALLY looking for and you are prepared to pay more than it s worth.

I was looking at a 1989 bronco that they had for sale so I drove 6 hours from Michigan to look at it in person. Overall it was a good buying experience and the truck was fairly priced for its condition. They have a lot of cool classic and modern vehicles on the lot as well. Would be 5 stars but I was not told the AC wasn t working and it didn t look like they cleaned the truck much before I got there. But I drove it home 6 hours and it made it back with 0 problems just like they had said. I m glad I was able to find this place, I recommend it.

Mike was greatly helpful and had the vehicle I was looking for parked and ready to take it for a spin. He also went out of his way and stayed open for me to get there. I will definitely recommend Salem Autosports when you are looking for a vehicle. Thanks Mike.

Bought an 08 Avalanche back in June. After puting a few thousand miles on it and doing an oil change everything is great so far. Was not pushed to buy, did not hide anything, was very easy going. Got great prices on vehicles they get from trade ins or auctions. I recommend getting inspections for some vehicles since they are trade ins/auctions. Huge selection regardless and easy to find the right one. Brandon was great to communicate with and purchase through. Very happy with my purchase!

I bought a Ford Explorer from salem Auto Sports a few years back and I ve been using it for my detailing business! I wanted to express my gratitude for how reliable and good of a vehicle this car has been to me. It s always a bit stressy purchasing a used vehicle, but I felt a strong trust buying from Brandon as he reassured me with all my concerns, and he was right because she s still running strong with no problems! I love my car! The overall experience buying the car was great from test driving to pricing to customer service. ! 2 years later and I m still extremely happy and will absolutely be back when I need a second car for my business! 10/10. My husband purchased a truck over there 2 weeks ago and he is very pleased with the truck. Brandon was very helpful and knowledgeable. We did have a little problem with the truck but they took care of it immediately. We will be back to their business.truck runs excellent and excellent gas mileage.

Bought a 1986 Chevy Suburban online never seen it in person i live in nebraska my mistake trusting them. They said runs fine no problems, well got it shipped to me mufflers blown out, missing radiator cap started ran it overheated within 5 minutes either has blown head gasket or cracked head ow of course they made sure to stipulate on bill of sale no returns stay far away these crooks

We bought a 2011 Ford ranger from Mike 7 years ago with 310,000 mile and now have over 600,000 miles these is the best place totrucks I saved thousands of dollars in truck payments over the years!!!!!!!!!! I sent many friends and family to buy cars and truckssuper deals here!!!!!!!

Purchased a truck from them back in November and waited over 2 months for them to send the title out. When I was ready to resell the vehicle I couldn t because I was still waiting on the title. Anytime myself and the bank tried to ask them for help in transferring the title they refused to help and said I was on my own. Would definitely never buy from them again. They don t care about getting a repeat customer. Their customer service sucks. Buy at your own risk.

Car was described as surface rust and good inside and out. I haven t been able to use car since I bought due to rust. AC lines broke. AHC lines broke. Entire skid plates were rusted through. I didn t due my diligence as a customer but it was not advertised correctly for conditionSee pics of surface rust .

I thought Mike was more than fair. In total I must have spent about 4 or 5 hours there. They were very patient in letting me check out the trucks thoroughly and test drive them. I brought my dad with me in the case that I actually did buy a truck to drive my other car back to Chicago; my dad had many moments of nostalgia because Mike has a lot of really cool memorabilia around the shop.Originally, the car that I had purchased wouldn't start. So Mike had a new battery put in. We made a deal for a good price and I made it back to Chicago with the truck. My mechanic says it's far from perfect. Realistically I'll probably have to put about $2k-$3k into it but that should last me for a couple of years.I'm using the truck for work so if I make my money back on the truck, I'll be happy at breaking even. I mean, it's a necessity to have a work truck just to do my job. Though it was an "as is" buy. That's the gamble you take with a 22-year-old truck. Overall, I would say my experience at Salem Auto sports was very positive. I would definitely return if I find I need another truck in the next few years.

Really nice place. Mike and Branden were both very friendly and didnt pressure me at all. I bought a 2001 Silverado from them, it needed some work but they were understanding of both that and my budget and Branden worked with me on the price. 10/10 would recommend.

I have bought a car from here before and had issues years ago, but I wanted to support a local business in hopes they were better. Unfortunately recently I came here to look at trading my truck in on a less nice and much older truck. One of the owners was there and he said he d give me a certain amount for trade on it. I told him I was gonna think about it. Came back the next day and the other guy tells me that there s no way they can give me that much for the trade, then proceeded to tell me I was lying about the offer I got the day before, when clearly I was not and still under the assumption I was getting what the other owner offered for the truck. I then told him it s written down inside and he then knew the act was up. Then starts apologizing and saying he misvalued the truck and the best they could do is offer not even half of the offer yesterday, which was plain insulting, on top of being called a liar just 5 minutes before. These people do business in a manner I want nothing to do with, not of their word, no honor. I hope this helps someone. Ended up getting exactly what I wanted for my truck with none of the hassle.

So far so good, my son bought a vehicle from here. I appreciate that they didn't hover and waited until we asked for assistance. They were very patient and answered all our questions. Prices were reasonable. They do not do financing.

I traded my SUV for a truck at Salem and everything was incredibly easy, no pressure, and pain free. We agreed on a fair trade value for by SUV and I took my time looking at all of their different trucks. Everything sold is AS IS so you really have to look at everything closely and take your time. This is the only dealership in the area with fair and reasonable prices for used trucks. I worked with the owners son and he was great. If I ever need a used truck again in the future I'll look here first.

I recently visited Salem Autosports after back and forth conversation with Brandon on a Mazda5 purchase along with trading in my VW Tiguan. Brandon was more than reasonable, extremely kind, and the opposite of the "typical" car salesman. I never felt pressured or misled. Minus a minor battery issue with the Mazda (that was fixed ASAP) the entire experience was quick and easy. My new vehicle is exactly what my family needs and rides great. Thanks again, Brandon!

We bought 2 trucks my daughter and I. We live 3 hours away. The condition report had everything checked off as legal and working. I would have never made it home. The alternator was no good. There were no running lights, one headlight. There was no air compressor and clutch. Radiator and power steering hose leaked. Abs brakes bad, so unplugged it. The other truck the radiator leaked. Take your mechanic with you. I have a better one then they are. Condition report was fraud

Super friendly and genuine family. Service is great and cars are reliable for their price point. I am in LOVE with my 1991 Dodge Stratus. I get so many looks and people think it's a Mercedes! HIGHLY recommend

The 2021 rental car shortage had me in a bind. I was planning to move across the country and wasn t about to pay 2k for a Uhaul. I expressed my situation to the sales department and requested to look at vehicles that could pack all my stuff and drive over 1000 miles. They had many good options and I bought a truck for an incredible deal. I made the trip to the east coast and wish I could move the dealership with me. They hooked me up and I cannot be more grateful. Salem Autosports has a 10/10 highest recommendation I can give. Thanks guys!

Make sure you ask for better pictures before you drive 9 hours round trip the description from dealer did not match description in person and 95% rust free means its 5% away from being 100% its simple math

I actually drove up 1000 miles from Alabama because they had a specific car I was hunting and listed it online. I told them I was coming to look at it and it was still filthy when I arrived. Now i think what you got from that was "the car was dirty". What I'm saying is that the floor board was soaked with something, one of the compartments had been used as an ashtray and left that way, there was rat feces in the center console, the radio was sharpie'd to cover where the buttons were wearing off, tag screws were rusted in place, trash in the cargo area, battery that lasted me a DAY (had to buy a new one to get it home). All of this and he didn't think to tell me this before I drove 1000 miles to see it. I got $500 taken off and grabbed it up. Mechanically sound for a 150k mile car, although the check engine light DID come on a week into owning it, but I chock the sound engine up to Toyota's 2zz engine, it's a trooper. My honest opinion is that it's probably best to avoid this place. There are still honest car salesman out there and you'd be better off continuing your search to find one instead of settling here. I know it's a bad review but I promise it's honest. Took him a MONTH to mail me my title too (paid for the car in full). Sorry Salem, you didn't even hit the bare minimum of customer service in my case 8/

I would highly recommend Salem Autosports. Great deals on used cars mostly under 10k. I paid cash fo my car, then took the title to the bank where they give me full Blue book value which was double what I paid. My son also just bought his second vehicle from Salem. Owner Mike and his son Brandon are very personable. Worth the almost hour drive from where I live.
