I took my 2020 Equinox in for a diagnostic and some brake work and had a great experience. I was in need of a repair quickly as I use my vehicle for work and wasn't able to get into my normal shop for over two weeks. Jay & J got me in the same day and had the diagnostic completed and brake issue identified within a few minutes. The repairs were reasonably priced and completed within a day. The day my car was in the shop I drove over a screw and asked him to take care of it when I picked up my other vehicle and not only did he take care of it but refused to charge me. I'll no doubt return for all future vehicle maintenance and repairs.

I only had the opportunity to speak to the owner (I assume) over the phone after hitting a deer a long way from home. Based on how helpful and interested he was to talk to someone who has never (and likely will never due to distance) been/be a customer, I wouldn't hesitate to take my car to Jay & J's Auto if I lived anywhere in the area. Your time and expertise were greatly appreciated!

On Thanksgiving morning my fiance and I ran over something that punctured our tire on the highway up north. As we slapped on a spare I called around to several auto shops in the Lomira area and everyone was understandably closes. But Jay answered the call and graciously offered to take a look at the tire, even though he technically wasn't open. We rolled up and he happily assessed the situation and was able to plug the puncture, put it back on the car, and save our Thanksgiving. He and his partner were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They helped us out in a tough spot on a very important day. Thank you so much!

I appreciate your help! I ended up getting a hole in my tire on the highway. Not wanting to run on the spare for a long distance I called Jay & J's who after a short friendly conversation offered to plug the hole and get me back on my way as soon as possible. After a short detour and a quick plug install I was back on the road and on my way home. Thanks again!

Working with them for a few years now. Don't want to take my car anywhere else. Good prices, amazing work. Treats my car like there kids will be in it. Gets me back on the road as fast as possible. Could not ask for more.

My company truck broke down just out of town. Within 10 or 15 minutes of my phone call they were there to help me get my truck started and I drove to the shop for them to replace an alternator.In a very short time, I was on my way. Jay and Chris are friendly, knowledgeable mechanics. Reasonable prices and quick service. They take time to show and explain what is wrong and normally have a couple options for repair. This guy Jay saved me and my buddy when our box truck broke down on Highway 28, he gave us amazing and kind service. After we got the truck to his shop he switched out our water pump and did a diagnostic of the vehicle within our time frame of only a few days and we were right back on the road, with out a single issue on our 100+ mile drive home. Great communication, amazing value, and all around outstanding quality. I would highly recommend Jay and Js to anyone who is looking for service that is straight forward no bs, and done right the 1st time at a very reasonable price.Service: Engine repair

I had used Jay s for and emergency transmission leak. The problem was quickly found and repaired within 2 hours. The cost was fair also. Because if this I used them for replacement of front struts. I had an estimate done elsewhere and Jay s estimate was very much lower and the work was done quickly and expertly. I called them to see if they were able to get a stripped lug but off. He said yes bring it down. He worked on it for a few hours, broke tools trying to get the lug nut off. He was finally able to get it off. I asked him what I owed him, he said 20-30 bucks. He was a life saver and very cheap price. I will take all my car repairs to him. While we would have preferred not to have an encounter with these generous and caring people, they ensured that we were well taken care of. This is a great location to take a pit stop if you happen to end up in a predicament like my buddy and I did. Thank you for the service, as we could not have overheated in a better place.

Couldn't ask for a better mechanic. Honest, affordable, and gets the job done right no matter what it takes. Brought our 2001 Ford Taurus in for what was originally a bad alternator but ended up being an absolute nightmare. He did absolutely everything he could to get it fixed for us even though it was definitely driving him nuts, lol.

Took my car to him for engine. Paid him 2500 to get it fixed. The night I picked it up check engine light on took it back 5 times to fix never touched my car. Do not trust this mechanic.
