If you're looking for a clean, efficient, and knowledgeable euro specialist mechanic shop, you've found it!After a recommendation from my uncle, I brought my Volkswagen here for a timing belt replacement. The quote included the belt, water pump, tensioner, and idlers, which should be replaced at the same time. When the parts arrived the next week, I dropped the vehicle off and was able to pick it up the following afternoon.

By far, Best spot in town to work on audi, mercedes, BMW, Vollswagon etc. Fidel is so knowledgable and puts care and pride into his work. He is very straightforward and will tell you exactly whats going on with your vehicle. He will also explain his process for fixing whatever it may be. I'm learning something new every time I'm there. I've been elsewhere in the duluth for foreign car maintence and they are no where near Auto Centrum! I strongly reccomend! I'm super confident that my VW and Benz will last a loooong time in their care.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

We brought our Audi in for a diagnostic and Fadil was able to let us know know what the issue was quickly, and as new Audi owners also went over other issues that may need to be addressed in the future. Fadil was extremely friendly and knows what he is doing. Highly recommend. We were traveling through the area and had a problem with our battery. We called from the highway, and he had us come and saw us right away. He quickly evaluated the car, found that key systems were working properly and that the car was safe to drive. He then advised that we continue our trip until we could get to a dealer to have the problem taken care of under the warranty. He did not charge us at all. It is refreshing to find such a helpful and honest mechanic.Service: Electrical

My car broke down in Superior WI. (100 miles from home) I looked up a local VW mechanic and it sent me here...not only could you eat off the floors the place was so clean. They were very accommodating and got my car done in a few days ..if I lived closer I would take my car there regularly.

Fidel was professional and caring. He went out of his way to service our BMW. He did everything he could to provide the best service. His shop was closed and he was willing to work on his day off to assist us with our vehicle. I would highly recommend his services for any vehicle needs. He is knowledgeable and trustworthy. We're so lucky to have Fidel here working on cars for us in America. He's a fine person and a great personality and an excellent mechanic much better price. Then they all fit across the harbor. Anyone with a foreign car we would be crazy not to support autocentrum best foreign car shop and mechanic in the entire twin ports I've had two of my BMW is repaired there and my Volkswagen always satisfied. By far the most reasonable priced mechanic in the Twin ports. Thank you Fidel your friend and customer Howard

I can t say enough good things about Fidel. He was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The level of customer service that he provides is top notch. He took the time to actually show me what the issues were, and how he was going repair my Volvo. It looks like I m going to be sticking with foreign vehicles for awhile because I don t want to use any other shop in town!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I cannot say enough good things about Auto Centrum. On the road 1400 miles home and my BMW s transmission started to shudder under light acceleration. Fidal listened to my plight and told me to bring it right in. A perfect gentleman, he offered me food and drink and then inserted me into his schedule that same day. He worked late in that evening to finish my car and refused an offered expedite fee. With a transmission flush, new filter and friction modifier added, my transmission returned to normal. Fidal even asked me to call the next day to keep him informed of my progress in case I had further problems. I made it home to Albuquerque, NM in the next two days and the transmission performed flawlessly all the way. Auto Centrum has to be hands down the most knowledgable, efficient, talented, reliable, and honest European car repair shop in the Twin Ports (Superior, WI and Duluth MN). Our Mercedes Benz had been at larger import shop over in Duluth, MN for over a week for a transmission problem. After diagnosing the problem they said they still were not entirely sure what it was and weren't familiar with Mercedes Benz transmissions. They also mentioned that if they worked on it we would likely be looking at a well over $2000 bill just digging in. They suggested we should take it down to the dealer in the cities. Instead we had it towed to Auto Centrum. Fadil, one of the owners at Auto Centrum had the car for 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem (A speed sensor on the conductor plate had failed.) He then proceeded to quote me at roughly half the price for Genuine parts, OE parts, and labor than the shop in Duluth. He suggested that it might be awhile before he got the parts in and the work done. I mentioned to him that we had a cross country trip coming up and would love to have the car before it. He said that would be a serious stretch and that we might not want to plan on it. He got the work done (including an oil change I had thrown in) in half the time he quoted me and had it ready to go for our trip. He even told me to call him if I had any questions as I drove and reminded me that he backed his work and would make it right if anything went wrong. It drove the 775+ miles without a single flaw. The car shifts now like it just came off the lot! Thanks Fadil and company. Auto Centrum is the real deal. My family will certainly be coming back!Services: Transmission, Oil change

I strongly encourage others to consider a different shop. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and to have a check engine light diagnosed. It was explained to me that it was standard to charge a full hour of labor for plugging in the diagnostic computer at the rate of $80/hour. I had already checked the light prior to the oil change at a local auto parts store at no cost, but wanted to make sure the information was correct. I very much wish I would have asked for more details before putting my trust in this business owner. Additionally, an additional 4% is tacked on the bill if you use a card instead of cash. We were on a weekend away at Grand Marais when our 2016 BMW X3 started burning through quarts of oil. On the Friday of the Thanksgiving weekend we struggled to find a shop that was open. I called Auto Centrum to see if they would be able to take a look at our SUV, adding that we were at least an hour away. The gentleman who answered the phone said it was no problem. We pulled up around 3:30 and he had the problem nailed down nearly as soon as he cracked the hood. They pulled our vehicle in the shop right then and had us back on the road in an hour and a half or so. They left just as we did, which made me think they stayed open just to take a look at our car. We were so grateful for their quick, knowledgeable service as well as their very personable nature.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

A genuine gentleman of a mechanic who knows German vehicles. Fidal will be the ONLY guy to touch my car as long as I need him. He is upfront, honest and very good at his trade.

We stopped here when our fix engine light went on while driving cross country. They stopped everything they were king to fix our van. They even brought us lunch! They were able to fix our issue when if they hadn t we would have had to wait three days for the part! Amazing repair shop and fantastic human beings. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I brought my Audi TT in announced within the hour he had it up on the lift and showed me what was wrong with it. He gave me a quote, ordered the parts and three days later I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up by noon very satisfied customer. Stayed late for my vehicle to arrive on a Wednesday night, had it diagnosed, repaired and ready to go before noon on Thursday. Also very reasonably priced. Very happy with the service, and will be coming back for sure. Thank you!

This shop is superb. They know what they are doing, they are quick and efficient. There is a nice waiting room in the shop and the people who work there they care about you.
