It's taken me way too long to write this review: the folks at A+ Automotive really helped our family out of a jam last summer. Our starter went out on a Friday evening at pretty much the halfway point of our trip from visiting family in Fort Wayne, IN to our home in Minneapolis. We saw that A+ Automotive was open on Saturdays, so we had AAA tow it there and spent the night in Sturtevant. Of course, as fate would have it, we called the next morning only to find out that A+ Automotive was in the process of moving to their new location they were closed for the day and would remain closed for the entire week! However, they very quickly appreciated our predicament, took pity on us, LITERALLY unpacked their tools, and had us back on the road within a few hours. One of the employees even came and picked me up from the hotel in his personal vehicle when our car was ready (I'm sorry friend, I can't remember your name! ). I still feel so grateful when I think back on it. Thank you all for your compassion and A+ service I hope the new location is working out for you all!If (God forbid) we ever have car trouble on the way to or from Indiana again, I at least hope it's near Sturtevant so I ll know who to call!

My fianc� made an appointment the week of 12/11 for the following Tuesday 12/19, she was flexible enough to have the car there before they opened. They close at 5 and we haven t heard all day so called around 4 pm with not much info from the shop at all. Around 4:30 I went and got the car because we couldn t leave overnight when we made an appointment for that day. I got the keys and picked up the car, was told they would call with additional info. We never heard from them that day or days after. Not very professional in our eyes. So now we still have car issues and left with confusion. Luckily I got the car somewhere a little more customer focused!

I do not recommend this shop at all. Poor customer service. Promised the car would be done on 3 separate occasions. Kept saying they couldn t find the parts. It took almost two weeks for break works to get completed.

Stopped in with a flat tire. They plugged it, which is nothing special. But, the staff was excellent and the waiting room was very nice. It doesn t feel like you re waiting at a repair shop. I saw every customer who came in while I waited treated very well with respect and up front pricing. I will certainly be back when I need service.

Excellent Service, Fair Priced! Trustworthy!!! Did a thorough inspection and discovered a safety problem with the brakes on my sons car! Keeping their drivers safe is definitely one of their outstanding services!Will not take our vehicles anywhere else!!

I had an oil leak that I couldn't figure out on my prized G6... Chris correctly diagnosed it, fixed it, and away I went. Fair prices, good service, really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend A+ Automotive.

I needed brakes for my Jag so I contacted A+ and spoke with Chris. He was knowledgeable and a straightforward kinda guy. I made the appointment with Jessica and everything went smooth. No issues at all with ordering the parts or the install. A few weeks later they also did a complete brake job and lube on my son's car and that also went well. Chris and Jessica run the shop well and I'm pleased with the work done. The cars were done in the timeframe as promised and I can't think of anything that could have been done better. If you find honest mechanics you best keep them. Glad I found them and have no regrets. Don t let the no frills storefront mislead you they can work on anything. I d rather deal with Chris and Jessica than the Jaguar dealership or any dealer shop that s for sure.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Chris and Jessica are absolutely top notch. The family vibe is alive and well, and they are down to earth people... I have been a proud customer of A+ automotive for a few years now and I trust them implicitly with my service needs. If your not aware, they are about to be moving into a brand new location just a stones throw and kitty corner from their old shop. If you have never been, there is no time like the present to swing by and talk to them about restoring piece of mind in your vehicle. I give them an A+ everytime...

On my way to work I must have run over something in the road and my tire pressure was dropping quickly. I arrived at work and within 5 minutes I had a flat. I called A+ Auto and was told to bring it in ASAP and someone would look at it. This is a Saturday morning and the young lady was so pleasant and helpful over the phone. They were fairly busy when I arrived and within minutes someone was looking at my tire! I had to leave the car there, but received a call 3 hours later that it was fixed. Service was outstanding, price for a tire repair under $20 on a Saturday???? Without an appointment? Incredible....I found a new home for all my auto needs!Service: Tires

I live in Chicago and was headed to Racine. My tire low pressure light came on. I did a quick search and made a detour over to A+. Long story short, Chris could not have been any more helpful. Just needed some air and I was on my way. Thanks!

I moved into town not long ago, and needed to replace my car plate with a new one. Did my research online and was so glad to find this place just down the road. They were so friendly and helpful. The service exceeded my expectations. Compared to other places that would charge you any opportunity they got, this place provides honest and trustworthy service. Update 8.6.21: These folks are the BEST. They finished the work in an extremely timely manner, they kept me informed on the process throughout the day, and answered all of the questions that I had. Honest. Affordable. Timely. Friendly. Can t ask for much more in a mechanic.I was recommended to A+ Automotive by a coworker. Not only are they very close to where I live, they are extremely professional and helpful. They were able to help me with a tricky battery install and work me into the schedule for additional work that needs to be done on my car. I will absolutely be returning and highly recommend them.

I called this shop to look at a car I was considering buying. They were super busy, so I had to leave a message and they and weren't able to get back to me the same day, but called the next day. I spoke with the owner who was extremely nice and offered to squeeze me in the next day.I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Liz and Chris went over the car I was test driving with a fine tooth comb and gave me the peace of mind to purchase the vehicle. They were knowledgeable about the vehicle and the potential issues, and took their time inspecting everything and explaining everything to me, even taking me into the garage and showing me what they were seeing.Knowing that I live a fair distance away and may not be in a position where I'd be able to return for future work, they were still willing to accommodate me and spend a lot of time to make sure I was well-educated on the purchase I was about to make. You don't find this kind of customer service in this industry often. If I'm ever in need of a mechanic near the Sturtevant area, this shop will be my first stop, without a doubt.Thank you, A+ Automotive, for giving me phenomenal service!!!

Highly Recommend! Fast professional service. Small family owned business. Mechanic/technician calls to discuss any issues and gets approval on work before proceeding. I appreciated mechanic's honesty. He informed me as to what was "really" needed for my vehicle to operate safely; what could wait until a later date; and what was recommended based on my vehicle type. In addition, the shop also offers on-going maintenance (oil changes, etc.). Office area clean and reception is warm and accommodating. They have made me a loyal customer!

Stopped by today after coming off the highway with car troubles. This was the closest place my gps took me to and I'm so glad it did! Super friendly and helpful, gave me a quick diagnostic, said I should be able to make it the 60 miles to my hometown mechanic, and they were right. Chris and his crew came through that day. I couldn't get my car started. With the quick response from AAA, I was able to get it started, then looked around at 4 different places for a new battery. A+ Automotive ordered a new battery and had it installed in about an hour. Totally appreciative. I've been going to them for oil changes as well. This helped me get to my covid vaccination on time. Thanks again Chris!

I had a power steering pump replaced in my truck and about a year later I was having power steering issues again. Took the truck to a different mechanic who showed me the pump they installed. It was a rebuilt pump with an extremely loose bearing that was leaking power steering fluid slowly over time as well as one of the bolts for the power steering pump was completely missing. I will never bring another vehicle to this shop as I had to spend the money a second time to get the job done right with new OEM parts instead of rebuilt parts.
