No car repair shop holds a candle to Steve's! They don't screw you over or over charge. Honest and do great work. Joe is the MAN! If I could give this place zero stars I would unfortunately for me I had to give a star. I went to this place with a gas voucher of $40 and was told to pump the gas at a certain pump. The owner didn't inform me that I had to stop the pump on my own. I went over something like $ 4 bucks and didn't have any money on me to pay the balance. His sister paid the balance of the $ 4 dude got angry and called the Reedsburg cops. The police came and they saw want dude was on and one of the cop was going to pay the $ 4 but another customer gave me the$ 4 dollars and the owner didn't want to take the money because it didn't come out my pocket. Bottom line don't go to this place if you're a person of color because this owner is clearly racist!

Very poor service. Seemed like they had no time for me after I told them I was in. Horrible head on collision and being the passenger I needed to know where the truck was that I was in and they basically hung up on me

I've been going to Steve's for my auto needs since I moved to Reedsburg 20+ years ago. Have always had professional, friendly service. Yesterday I hit a deer, and wondered if my car was indeed driveable. I stopped by and Steve gave it a quick check. He removed a piece of bumper cover for me, as it was just banging against the condenser. $5 and about ten minutes and I was on my way. Thanks for being an asset to our community!Service: Exhaust

Steve's Auto Service has always had superior service with reasonable prices. I have been doing business with them, on and off, for years. I always recommend them when I am asked for a good place to get work done.

24 hour towing is a plus .took him over an hour to come out. Told me to call him the next morning for an estimate on my car call late afternoon hadn t even taken it off the truck. Called with an $8000 decided to get the car home and take it to a local mechanic. Turns out what he said was wrong was not the issue was able to repaired it for less that half of the original estimate. Not to mention a tow that was less than a mile costs $150. Hikes up the prices is absolutely ridiculous.

We recently had an issue with a tractor stuck on a steep embankment. Steve was able to be there in less than an hour and a short while later he had our tractor unstuck! I was afraid of what it would cost to solve our predicament but Steve's rates seemed very reasonable to me! I will definitely call him again if I should find myself in need of towing services :)

Would not recommend. I heard a belt squeaking in my engine, so off a referral I called Steves. They said if I dropped of my car that afternoon it would be looked at as soon as possible or the next day by noon at the latest. 3pm the next day rolls around and no call so I decide to walk past the shop. I find my car untouched in the same place I parked it 24 hours ago. Needing my car, I go in to get my keys back. The lady tells me they are understaffed for some odd reason and gives me a half-hearted "sorry". I will not return

Wife went in to get a repair done. Initially, before she had even decided to go to Steve's, she was told she'd be looking at paying $200-300. We were told by a friend we'd end up paying a little more, but that these guys did good work, so we thought $300 was acceptable.Go in, drop off the car, and a couple hours later we get a phone call saying that the new estimate was more like $400-600, doubling or tripling our original. Can't be too upset about that, because there's only so much you can describe over the phone, and they probably found additional complications. Still, that was quite an increase, more than we were willing to pay at that time, so we decided to just go pick up the car and shop around elsewhere, no harm done.Except that, when I dropped off my wife, she was told she owed the shop $40 for the estimate, and absolutely refused to return her keys until her bill was paid. My wife initially refused, and was told her only other option was to wait for the owner to return so that she might take it up with him.Instead, we chose a third option, sucking it up and paying the bill, then dedicating time and effort to badmouthing this place to everyone in town.Thanks, guys!

Today was my second experience with Steve s auto service, the first time was an exhaust fix that they performed promptly and for a decent price, today they fixed an oil leak for me, I was sure it was going to cost me $800 but they found the issue and it was far cheaper and they were honest and didn t try to take advantage of me even though they could have. I will be returning for work on my vehicles for as long as I m in the area.

My fiancee is a mechanical engineer and normally does all of his own work on our vehicles. Steve's is the only place we take out vehicles top be worked on if he can't DL the work himself. We just had CV axles and outer tierods put on my car by Steve's and they were great. Their labor cost is about 30% lower than the 4 other places I called. We will always recommend Steve's Auto Service to anyone.

It took me a while to find a place to take my families cars to get maintenance done that I rely on and TRUST. Steve's is the place, the only place that gets to work on my vehicles. Fair, honest and extremely helpful. Try them you won't be disappointed.

I went there to get my tire repaired and my rim cleaned. And my tire put back on my car. The employee at Steve's was so helpful, and the cost so inexpensive it was amazing. I know that if I went to another place that they would have charged me an arm and a leg. I will go to Steve's for anything I need and you should too

Brought in tires to have mounted on my car, I called ahead of time, asked how much it would cost?, $8 to dismount x4, $8 to mount new x4, and $40 to program my tpms sensors. So should of been 104 plus tax. During mid work completion they called to ask a question and asked if they were to dispose of my old tires, stated $20, I agreed. So were at 124 plus tax. Then when they call to say it's done the bill was $177.00. What?! Bad business, they say well its 8$ a tire for balancing. Now, $156 plus tax. No idea where the 177 came from. Total rip off shop. A tire change and tpms reprogram should only be $100 job. The owner would not come to talk about it but hid across the street somewhere. Beware.

Steve's not only takes good care of my diesel truck, but also cares for my fifth wheel camper. New leaf springs, brakes and re packs bearings. In and out in half a day.

They repaired my car. It was an electrical bug that would not go away. They went above and beyond to fix it. They added a couple new parts and didn't charge me. Outstanding customer service.

Was told we had a hole in an oil pan and it would be $400 to repair. Went under the vehicle and wiped some grease off and all was perfect underneath......Bad business....beware

Prices are high for some repairs compared to surrounding places but they are good at what they do and the mechanics are very helpful and courteous.
