I worked with Chris to purchase a custom enclosure for my 23 Maverick. The service was great, the item was better than expected, & it was well packaged. I appreciate that Chris was prompt in responding to my questions and helped me make my ideas a reality. Highly recommend and look forward to working with Sound Decisions in the future.

Excellent price, quality and customer service! I couldn t be happier with the process from helping me choose the right system and components to a timely schedule and top notch installation. They also took perfect care of my brand new (200 miles on it) Ford Bronco. It Came back clean as new and not a mark on it inside and out. The custom closure they made was first class. Highly recommend!!!!

I've been treated better then ever expected from day one. Been going here for 15 years or so for everything and anything car audio related. From gear and supplies when doing my own builds or custom work from Chris and the guys this is the place to go if you want quality equipment and top notch work, or you just need something to get you to be able to listen to your radio. Their knowledge and service can't be duplicated anywhere close to Racine.

Great service! Had an issue with my remote start. They got me in quick, fixed the issue and didn t charge me an arm and a leg. Very happy about my experience. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again!

Staff were polite and all but both my front and rear dash cams fell off by the time I drove home. I had to remove the adhesive they used and apply my own. Not a huge issue but then why did I pay them $150?

The owner took the time to help me diagnose a problem that was not even something he was responsible for. Also, I've had three of my vehicles done with remote start from this company and they always stand behind their work and its lifetime warranty at a fair price warranty. Can't go wrong with these guys and it's all so been a very fair price.

Chris and his guys did an amazing job with the installation of amp and speakers on my wife's truck. At first it wasn't loud enough so Chris made the proper adjustments and have a very nice loud clear sounding stereo. If you're even thinking about doing amp speaker anything go see Chris and his guys at Sound Decision. Thanks Chris and crew.

I have been using sound decisions for years and there work has always been top notch. Recently they installed my old stereo system into my 2021 Mazda cx5 and helped retain the stock look. Your installers did a great job. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their car stereo.

Now I can finally enjoy myself on the long drive to California.I also want to say thanks for taking care of my truck and wife's suv two years ago. I wouldn t bring a car to Sound Decisions to have it vacuumed. This was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Owner was rude, dismissive, and accusatory. Ordered the wrong parts and gave lip-service to making the install right but never honored it. They introduced a 1kHz buzz in the sound system that I had to call to their attention and required me to make 5 trips back to their shop to fix. They never did fix it and quit on the job. They even scabbed in mismatched parts in an attempt to disguise the problem.I recently took my 2017 Colorado to Sound Decisions and owner Chris Hilbert for a new amp and speakers, front and back. My truck had all stock OEM equipment so the install should have been pretty simple for a company with experience. I decided to take my truck to this shop because they had a good Google rating. But upon closer inspection, their rating is mostly based on remote starters and other low-tech installs. Not high-end audio. Don t bring your vehicle to Sound Decisions for a car stereo installation.The process started badly when they ordered and installed the wrong set of speakers for the fronts and blamed Harman/Infinity for their product numbering system. They ordered speakers made for Harley Davidson motorcycles. This should have been a clue to them to investigate more closely before proceeding. They emailed me that they d make this right. They never did.From the first day, the audio had a 1 kHz buzz that they introduced and couldn t fix. I d take the truck back in over and over again and they d say it was fixed, only to find, as soon as I drove the truck off the lot, there still, was the annoying buzz. The owner even called me a liar in the middle of his store in front of other customers one trip when I told him that they still hadn t solved the problem. I said The noise is still there. It is not! Chris yelled in the middle of the store. His installer confirmed it was indeed still making the buzz. Yet they insisted the problem was solved when they called and said it was ready for pickup. It wasn't.They even went so far as to say the problem was with my truck. But at no point did they ever hint at an apology for wasting my time bringing my truck back again and again ti fix the same problem. Worst of all, they couldn t hear it until I pointed it out to them and they d acknowledge it. I asked their installer Would you accept this job if it were your car? He said no.Fast-forward 5 trips back and forth to their shop, the owner called me saying they were giving up and said they couldn t figure out the buzz and were going to abandon the job, replace all the original GM factory gear, walk away, and issue me a refund. They didn t even ask my opinion or offer suggested remedies. They just quit - saying they couldn t isolate the problem they originally didn t hear nor acknowledge existed. What a waste of time. 10 hours over the course of a week only to end up right back where I started.All car audio installers aren t created equally. A pro knows what to listen for. A pro knows how to diagnose problems. A pro works to get a job right. Not at Sound Decisions. They ll waste your time, not take responsibility for their workmanship, blame you for their mistakes, take shortcuts, and leave you hanging if they run into a problem.UPDATE 4-24-23: One week ago my truck started developing serious electrical problems. Took it to the dealership and they said several ground wires were cut and became dislodged. Half my systems were not connected to proper ground - the horn went out, lights didn't work, and I started getting warning messages on my console. $500 repair. Worked perfectly for 81,000 miles but suddenly goes out after this debacle at Sound Decisions. I can't prove this was Sound Decisions handiwork but sure seems like the result of hack workmanship done by a shop chasing an electrical problem they couldn't solve.Stay far away from this place.

Been meaning to post a review for a bit.Called Chris and asked, Can you make my Raptor sound awesome without loss of under seat storage? Took a day or so but he called back and said yes. I really had no idea what he was even gonna do. Just trusted he d make it sound good.Got an 8 inch woofer installed behind the seat, as well as all new interior speakers. I don t even know what brand they are. I think the sub is by Hirtz?It sounds fantastic! Regardless of how high or low the volume. Regardless of the style of music. Everything from Trap Hip Hop to my little kids YouTube Baby Bus jams. The whole family loves the sound.The day of the install I had to cancel to push it out due to busy life. The man came and picked my truck up and brought it back lol.Highly recommend.

All I have to say is WOW!!! Chris and all the employees go above and beyond. We have had 4 cars worked on and have never left unhappy. Sound Decisions is definitely thee place to go. You won't be disappointed.

They put speakers / amp/ deck on my Harley Davidson 3 years ago.been great , all of sudden I just had a speaker not working, told me to swing in Saturday they fix the problem and didn t even charge me. That s great service!! Best work around!! Sound is spectacular on bike too. They definitely know what works.Also had remote starts in both our cars. Works awesome. Will highly recommend!! Sound decisions is the go to place in Racine to get all the quality audio work done!!

I had an auto start put in many years ago, it'd had a simple malfunction, made appointment, brought it in, they fixed under warranty. They stand by their work and products even 9 years later. Thanks!

The true test of business is how they handle problems and this one EXCELS. Installed upgraded and audio and a front parking sensor. Had issues with the front parking sensor. They got me in first thing the next morning, offered me options and explained everything. Took care of it while I waited. Outstanding customer service - Highly recommend

I went in for something totally unrelated to radios or remotes, and they looked at my car, fixed the problems they saw for free and were super nice and friendly! I'll definitely be coming back here and have recommended this place to all of my friends and family. Thank you for the amazing service, that's so hard to find these days!

It was a great experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable of car system replacement. I had a friend recommend them to me and I would do the same! They said it would take just a day and were actually done in a couple of hours. Another place said 2 days and less equipment and more money. I am very happy with my purchase!!!!!! And warranties!!!!!

While living an hour away from Sound Decisions, given the reviews the company had - I wanted to give them a try. For the most part, they contact you back quite quickly. Their staff is respectful, nice, and meets the customers needs and or wants. The company itself is clean and organized. I had them install a remote start and was very happy of the product. They walked me through every step of the process and I couldn't be any happier of the results.I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

I had them install an alarm system in my Ram 2500. They did an outstanding job and it was done in a timely manner. They answered all of my questions upfront so that I wouldn't have any surprises or problems down the road.I would recommend them without any hesitation for your vehicle alarm system.Edit: This evening after work I stopped in because I had a small issue with one of my alarm system remotes. I only waited for a few minutes while Chris finished up with a couple of other customers and he addressed my remote problem. This is what I love about brick and mortar stores.....The attention to CUSTOMER SERVICE is on point.Check them out

I went in for a remote start/security/keyless entry for my vehicle. From the very beginning I could tell this place knew what they were talking about! Very knowledgeable and very friendly atmosphere. After scheduling my appointment, I even received a reminder text the day before, just in case I forgot or had to cancel. The day of install, everything was smooth and completed with skill and precision. They even made sure before I left, I knew all about my system and didn t have any questions! If you need a radio, remote start/keyless entry/ security system, installed, I would highly recommend checking this team out! You won t be disappointed!

Awesome job installing stereo, team was fast, walked me through operation, and came in under budget. Made second purchase from these guys and had another great experience. Team installed a stereo and Started in my daughters car. They went above and beyond to make sure it was all correct and Did all of it with a smile. Communication on what was happening and timing was great. These guys know service and how to provide it. Excellent group, would purchase from them again.

When I decided to look into finally getting a remote car start and car alarm but had no idea where to begin, I did a quick search of all of the installers in my area and I saw that sound decisions was about a half hour away. I gave them a call even though I really had no idea what I was looking for other than a car alarm with remote start. I actually thought at the time that I wanted a Viper but when I called "Sound Decisions", the gentleman on the phone took me under his care and educated me about the best options for my price range. The scheduling and installation was completely painless and I am incredibly happy with what I received! They took the time to make sure that I understood my system and it is more than I could have hoped for! I'm incredibly grateful to the staff at Sound Decisions and I will definitely be returning to have other electronics installed on my vehicles! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have quality work done at an affordable price. It is worth the drive for anyone that lives outside of the area. And for everyone else with in the area, we are lucky to have a quality place like this with the Integrity that they do.
