We brought our car to Racine Transmission because it was shuttering when it changed gear. They changed the transmission fluid and it took care of the problem. We have brought other vehicles here over the years. We have been happy and trust them.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I cannot say enough good things about this place! They got me in right away for an inspection...and Argos (my Doberman) as always, brought smiles to all. Bob was amazingly informative, gave me (who knows bare minimum about cars) the layman's explanations and helped me piece together a plan to move forward. Although I don't *want* repairs to have to be done, I feel the most comfortable trusting these guys over most lately to work on my baby! I had never been here prior to getting my transmission rebuilt. Mike and his team were honest and did not try to sell me on useless things, actually even talked me out of wasting money. Additionally, and most importantly to me, he broke down the mechanics behind a transmission and explained a lot to me .someone who can put that into easy to understand terms and physically show me the parts that were bad and take photos of the interior has my vote . Thank You!!! 8 months and the car is still doing great!!!!

Needed a used car pre-purchase inspection on the quick. They got me in, recommended a good breakfast joint in the meantime, then actually took me under the car and went over everything they found. Honest and straight. No BS. And did it all on the cheap - thanks Bob!

Awesome, honest, reliable,timely, knowledgeable, reasonably priced shop. They stand by what they repair. I have had a transmission rebuilt many years ago and its still running as it did on day 1. Also had motor mount replaced so now my car is safe. I highely recommend this shop.

Have had Mike and his team do two complete transmission rebuilds for me. (Separate cars & years apart) He wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the fastest but both ran great afterward and he stood behind the warranty where other shops might have tried to wiggle out.

I am an employee at Racine Transmission. In regards to the two negative reviews, we never performed any repairs on Ian's vehicle. Am unsure if he even called us. We try to treat everyone with respect and do not replace parts or perform repairs that are not needed. As far Renee's vehicle, it was an intermittent issue that we spent several hours trying to recreate, at no charge to her. If she would have came to us with her concerns we would have made them right. We have over 80 combined years of experience and take pride in being able to properly diagnose and fix nearly 100% of vehicles brought to us.

Talked with Bob. I had recently had transmission work done at a dealer while visiting family in Iowa. Arrived back in Racine and the next day a puddle of trans fluid under my car. I called Bob, he said bring car there. They fixed my transmission leak and contacted the dealer who forgot to put an o-ring in when fixing it and even got the dealer to pay repair bill plus drove me home and then picked me up when repair was done. Above and beyond expectations

Dropped off so they could look at trans problem. Found no problem but car had 200 miles on it half the gas and trunk scratched and full dirt and weeds.Beware....
