"Can anyone recommend a mechanic?"It's a question that comes up frequently in local social media groups. And, like clockwork, JDH Auto Repair is a very popular answer. Through my own experience over the last 5 years, I agree with that sentiment.I've had routine maintenance done on two vehicles, purchased a set of tires, and have taken vehicles to JDH for various issues - both planned and unplanned. Vehicle repairs are never something I want to spend money on, but when it's necessary, I trust JDH to accomplish the job and not charge beyond reasonable margins for time or materials.Pros: "customer first" business practices, consistently positive end results, huge waiting room where you can be comfortable and work via laptop if you need to.Cons: Communication about the service being done and notification of completion can be a bit inconsistent.

Cody and the staff have always been more than helpful with whatever situation we have going on with our vehicles. Extremely trustworthy, reasonable and knowledgeable. We are thankful to have such a great shop in our town!

Went in for a coolant flush and transmission flush. They couldn't do the coolant flush because my radiator was leaking. They took me out and showed me, and let me decide what to do. Great friendly service as was told by a good friend

I've had various cars repaired here over the years and at least half the time. Something else breaks the week after I get it back, I don't trust this place one bit

These guys are great! Reasonable prices and knowledgeable techs. I ve been going here for several years, taking everything from my daily driver to the hot rod. They were one of few places willing to tackle the alignment. Worked out great.Thanks again!

We took my mom s car to JDH Auto after it had gone unused for a time and the battery would not keep a charge. In a timely fashion, JDH gave the battery a deep charge, did an oil change, and checked all the rest of the car. The good news was that the car is fine. The amazing news was the amount of the bill just under $35!!We are all going to use JDH from now on!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Absolutely amazing service. Had a flat tire on my jeep. I called AAA and the tow truck took over 2 hours. I found a ride and took the tire off myself. Called several places to try and get it fixed but everyone said no because it was too close to closing. Called this place and was told to just come in they will wait for me. Not to rush. Got there, they got it done fast and didn't charge me!I need new tires on my truck and will be buying them from here.

I believe they've worked on every vehicle I own (including trailers) at least once by now, and I've never been disappointed. They do good work and they don't pad the invoice with extra stuff. If they don't think something needs to be done, or if they think you could get a better price elsewhere, they tell you.When you hold onto cars for 20+ years like I do, you need a shop like this close by. My 15 year old vehicle broke down when the water pump went out, about 2 hours from where I live. I knew this was an expensive job due to a previous replacement at 100k miles. Not familiar with any auto shops in the area I did some google searching and noticed JDH was one of the closest repair shops. So the next step was reading reviews and based on the great reviews for JDH, I decided I would have my vehicle towed there for service.They were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was an expensive repair and because it was on an older vehicle with 220k miles, they very closely inspected for anything else that looked like it might be failing soon prior to contacting me. Once they validated that things looked good they gave me an estimate and went ahead with the work. The final bill came in lower than the estimate due to the job going smoother than anticipated. I could not be any happier with this major repair from JDH. It is great to see that they value customer service and honesty. The only thing I am disappointed about is that their shop is not in my hometown, however if the timing is ever right, I will definitely take my vehicles there for service next time I am visiting that area.

Once again Cody and the team at JDH prove that they are the best in Sauk County. Two flat tires, on two different occasions (one when I was out of the country) Cody has shown up personally and helped change the tire and get the vehicle back on the road. I would take my vehicle here every single time. I ve had a oil change and some brakes replaced here. They are fair and honest people. I live in town and they even offer pick up and drop off services. Cody is very knowledgeable and friendly. I trust that they re going to do good work for the best price possible without being cheap.

JDH is Super Honest. They never come up with many other issues with my car. I tell them what I need and they fix it. Price is always very reasonable. I have been going there for years and have as yet to have a single complaint. I have a few upgrades to my Chevy Trailblazer and They will do the work. Best value for my money.

Called Tuesday and scheduled an appointment to get screw in tire fixed asap because we have two young boys and don t want to drive with them in the car while the tire s like this and we told them that, apparently the employee forgot to log our appointment in which we found out from a different employee when trying to call again to confirm the time .Of course that s not what upset us. We called again Thursday to reschedule, because they were busy the day of the original appointment and the employee we last talked to said to call Thursday. Fine Easter is coming up might be extra busy completely understandable. What I m mad about is Friday, Monday, and today me and my fianc� have called off and on throughout the day off both of our phones to get ahold of them and nobody has answered or called back at all. Called ford and they answered right away and got us in a 3 today. Should not have to call this much just to talk to someone about a single tire especially when we told them it s very important to get this ONE tire fixed, not even changed just patched up. Now they missed out on more money because we ll now be going to ford to not only get the tire fixed but get it serviced too, and for a fair price at that. Wanted to give JDH a shot but apparently they need an employee specifically for answering the phone.

Customer service is out of this world!! Took me to work and picked me up, dropped my car off at my house. Cody is incredibly friendly, made me feel very comfortable to leave my car with him. I will definitely bring my car back to him in the future. You don't see customer service like his that much in this day! Just awesome!!!!

I have never had a bad experience with them. Dean is great to work with! He is honest with you every time and does an outstanding job. I have recommended a lot of people already and will continue to do so! You can tell he truly cares about his customers.

I have taken my vehicle to JDH several times. In every instance they were able to stay within the estimate that I received prior to service. Their service is completed in a timely fashion and the staff is friendly and professional. 10/10 will take my vehicle here again.

Cody is the new owner and he is very professional, accommodating, and provides some of the best automotive service I've ever had. I took my vehicle there in September for new tires, new brakes, a coolant flush, and some other things. He looked up costs right in front of me and gave me a very amazing estimate in my opinion. He got my vehicle in right away, kept me informed the whole time, and was even able to find me a steal of a deal on a new wheel since mine had a crack in it. Another dealer told me it would be $500 and they let me just walk away. He found me a wheel in even better condition for only $100 and put my spare tire on for my safety until the wheel arrived. My boyfriend and several of my coworkers take their vehicles there now as well. Highly recommend!

CODY FUCHS IS THE BEST LOCAL REPAIR SHOP!!!!!HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY AND CAME TO MY HOME TO JUMP START MY VEHICLE! CAN RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A HONEST AND DEPENDABLE MECHANIC .

Cody and everyone at JDH are amazing! Running errands at lunch and the low pressure light came on for a tire. Just drove up without calling and he jumped up from his lunch to check it out. They are always accommodating with drop offs and pick ups. Prices are always fair!

last year my van broke down in mt horeb on the hottest day of the summer. I called progressive s roadside assistance first and waited almost three hours while they tried to confirm a tow truck for me. After waiting in the heat for hours, I gave up and my dad called JDH. Within 15 minutes (on a Friday near 5PM), Cody had a tow truck coming for me to tow me all the way back to JDH for the same price Progressive quoted me to tow me only two miles. We should have called him right from the beginning. JDH has the most fantastic service and my entire family trusts them with all our auto needs.

Awesome doesn't adjquatly describe this place and the staff. While I was in that area from out of town they made sure my Durango was road ready. Fixed air conditooner and alternator as well as other problems. Wish we had a shop back home that gave the same level of customer service. I will use this shop again when in that area. Thank you JDH Auto Repair, the AC will freeze you out
