Hard to get in and out, consistently. Sometimes it is quick, and sometimes it takes hours. Understaffed often, so I feel bad for workers, but it takes so long. Significantly Cheaper than other places, but not sure the savings are worth the time. Tonight they had a tire truck come in that they had to take care of in the middle of my service. I kept checking out the window. An hour and 20 minutes in a guy came inside and told me about the truck, so they haven t started my tire rotation. I asked for them to skip it so I could just go home. I understand being understaffed and things coming up, but I would have appreciated better communication. My car sat unattended for at least a held hour I m not going to bring my vehicles back.

First I'm told they don't have tires I need that website says they have in stock, then change the story to they don't have tools. So I made a new appointment a week in advance and they canceled it last minute saying they don't have parts. That lady needs to be fired. This walmart is a joke and needs new employees. Also told they wouldn't do my headlight because of no tools? All you need is a hand. I just replaced that myself no problem buy the laziness and unwilling to work there is crazy. A bunch of unhappy crabby people. Don't make an appointment at walmart. They will cancel 40 min before appointment .

Appointment set for 7am. Standing outside 20mins for anyone to even show up. Everything locked. Employee comes to door and says they cant install them because they don't have enough workers today. I have a broken foot and an appointment I'm not missing because I have to take the tires somewhere else. AND pay a nice fee to get the installed. IF anywhere else is open. I'm constantly disappointed in this place. Big no.Service: Tires

Unfortunately they are badly understaffed and as such can't service their customers properly. I brought my car in for tires and they hadn't taken it in yet a full hour after I was promised it would be done. I left and don't intend to go back. While I was there the phone was ringing unanswered almost constantly. Several potential customers also came and left while I was waiting.

I ve never had to wait so long to have 4 tires mounted and balanced, staff spent lots of time not working on the job, one guy in the shop pretty much just stands there and talks and doesn t do any form of work, prices are good however the time to get service is absurd.it took roughly 3 hours to get a set of tires mounted and balanced, and I had made an appt

If I could give a 0 star on automotive I would. They have no business being open. Nobody knows how to put headlights in. It took 2 and then more had to come and figure it out. One guy standing there in the middle of the shop infront of the tire slot just staring at orders like he doesn't understand. I went for 1 tire. Almost 5 hours later I l finally got to leave. Took 2 other vehicles ahead of me that were checked in after me. DON'T GO THEREService: Tires

Took my beater car here for a cheap oil change, tire rotation and a battery. Very reasonable priced. They said it would take about 2 hours. I was out of there right on schedule. Don't buy into the stereotype that Walmart service is sub par. The service I received here is just as good as the dealer where I would have been charged a lot more money. The lady at the counter could have been a bit more personable with the customers, but I get it. She was swamped with people, and the phone rang nearly non stop while I was there. The guy who worked on my car was cool, and seemed to do a thorough job. 5 stars for value.

Manager Zack was impressive, he went above and beyond to make my experience great. He was packed with customers and never batted an eye nor got overwhelmed, he kept his pace with a smile on his face. My next oil change will be on his watch... Thanks Zack...Services: Tires, Battery, Oil changeServices: Tires, Battery, Oil change

The Auto Care Center has posted hours open ti 7PM. I arrive there at 4PM to find the department closed with lights turned off. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one could not be found! This store used to have a poster at each entrance with manager contact info. They are no longer there. I wonder why? Lol

Speaking particularly about the portage location, the lead mechanic took great care and respect of the older classic car I brought in for oil change, led his team efficiently, serviced in a timely manner , kept the seats/interior clean from any grease or oil, awesome guys and gals here, only thing I could complain about is not having older oil filters or the option to pay up front for an order of an older oil filter as I was told they stock only 1999 and newer , so I paid full price for the high mileage change and I provided a $13.99 oil filter from O'Reilly's and Walmart did credit me $2.00 on the money they saved, would give 5 stars if I could pay up front before they would order a filter for me and include with the oil change price.

I have taken my vehicle here in the past and not had problems. Today I was working until 6pm, but I looked up their hours and saw they were open until 7pm. I arrived at 6:30 looking to have an oil change and was told they were done for the night. I said you might want to adjust your hours of operation if you're already done for the night as the signs outside and on the website both state 7pm. I was told by the lady at the counter this was because corporate wouldn't let them change the hours which makes no sense at all. Why would you list you're open until 7pm if you don't accept vehicles for service after 6pm I will be going else where for service from now on.

My tire had been blown to shreds and towed to a parking spot right outside of the Auto Care center for me to get back to the next morning. My brother and I went the next morning, and they had an exact matching tire in stock. Turns out, I was an idiot and had left my keys at home- I told Wanda I'd be back later with my keys. When I got back 30 minutes later, my tire had already been switched out. Wanda and team had taken a jack out to the parking lot and got it all taken care of out there. Super grateful for their speedy help, smooth and efficient process, and friendly staff- not to mention their willingness to go the extra mile to go out to the parking lot to fix it!

Much cheaper than the small town tire store I tried to do business with by about $250. Set up an appointment to get 4 new tires on my moms car and they didnt seem to have a good system set up because they claimed not to have an appointment scheduled and take "appointments before walk ins." Obviously a scheduled appointment meant nothing but they did a good job with the tires.

Signed in for oil change, was told about an hour, which was fine. Got done with shopping, sat in waiting area, same car in the bay as when we left! Tech finished and walked by waiting room, apparently to go to lunch, comes back 30 minutes later and brings a different vehicle in to bay....needless to say we left after 2 hours without an oil change! Will not be back there ever again! P.s. Tv is removed and no magazines in waiting area, absolutely sucked!!!

Friendly staff. Informed at the beginning about the other cars to be serviced before mine. Wait time was less than anticipated. Check out promptly when oil change completed. Best yet, the service person parked my car out of the wind when done.

Normally drop in for an oil change. They said 2 hr wait on 2 completely different days. Prior I ended up purchasing tires from them. They didn't even last 30,000. The tires had a 65,000 mile warranty. I took the vehicle in for a tire check. They blamed everything. First it was the rotations. I showed that they had been rotated every 5000 miles. Then they said that my alignment was out. I had my alignment checked by a Ford dealership, it wasn't out. Walmart said they weren't wearing evenly... well, Ford said they were worn about as evenly as any other tire they have seen. Basically they blame the buyer for everything wrong with the tires so they don't have to deal with it. RIDICULOUS!Recently I purchased 4 tires from Ford!! 1 year and 3 months after purchasing tires from Walmart. I certainly do not have the money to purchase $500 worth of tires yearly! In my opinion, Walmart owes me half of what I paid for those tires!

Got to auto center at 11, was told worst case scenario 4 hrs to have 2 new tires put on, got car back at 5:30, 6 1/2 hrs later and it wasn't that busy. Not blaming the workers. Maybe if billionaire Walmart would hire more people at an honest wage?

Great guys and they were quick, had a flat tire that they fixed right up and explained everything. All reviews saying they are slow are wrong. Also their phone is outside the garage so if you call them you might have trouble getting ahold of them. All in all, a great quick little tire shop.

I had my oil changed down at the Boynton Beach FL Wal-Mart and it was a 3 hour wait. At this Portage Walmart, it is a breeze. The woman who processes requests at the desk is friendly, helpful and she reassured me that it would take less than an hour. I did my weekly grocery shopping and walked to pick up my car - only 45 minutes. I visited at 10:45am on a Friday. Great service and they vacuumed my front carpeting!

Very slow, no communication, no sense of urgency by any of the managers or workers. Could really take a lesson from some of the chain oil change franchises. This was painfully slow and agonizing to watch them "work". Still sitting here so I can't evaluate the quality of work.

Consistently poor customer service, unfriendly staff, and always seem to close earlier than posted schedule. Brought car in for oil change and tire rotation, they forgot to do the tires, so had to bring it back again. No apology, no care of the inconvenience.

What a joke. The web site said they opened at 7am so I got there at 6:30 am just to find out they didn't open until 8am. Non the less I stayed and was the first person in line for tires, but no one showed up for work so they couldn't work on my vehicle. 9am a Tech showed up still by 9:30 hadn't pulled mine in.I left and will not go back! Weber tire in Bristol it is from here on out. I've never had an issue there.

If the workers were actually paid by the job instead of by the hour I bet they would move alot faster. I wouldnt have trusted them to work on my car the way they were pouting like it's the end of the world. After an hour of waiting as the two mechanics disappeared in the clear blue sky as to where they vanished to I have no clue. I decided to leave. Dont waste your precious time with this place.

I came here first thing this morning when they opened as I was told it was first come first serve, I was the 5th or 6th person in line. I expected a wait because of that... I ve been here just over 3 hours so far and every person before me has now left. They are continuing to bring cars in while mine remains in the lot. Very frustrated as it s very clearly NOT first come first serve. We will try to avoid coming back in the future if we can.

I would give negative stars if possible. I was on the phone for an hour trying to reach the Auto Center. I had a flat tire and wanted to inquire into the price of a new one, or a perhaps four new ones (as all of my tires are in poor shape). The phone just rang, without stating hours. Finally the call switched to customer service, who said they would page automotive to answer. This occurred twice, with two different customer service representatives, and still no answer. So, guess I'll take my money elsewhere. The Portage Wisconsin Wal-Mart is doing well enough they don't even need to talk to their customers.

Was told hour/hour and half, it's going on 2 and half hours and they finally got my car in. People working the desk are rude to make matters worse. I thought Baraboo Walmart was bad, this is worse. 2.4 star avg for them right now is too high for this place.

Hurry up and wait for 4 hours without a car to go anywhere if you need tires... Never been to a slower place. Oil changes routinely take 90 minutes. They don't take appointments, so you never know what you're gonna get.If you're gonna make people wait, at least put in a wifi repeater or a TV so people have something to do while they sit there and waste their lives away.
