The customer Service that we received was not good at all. Do to errors that finance & Sales made in paperwork we needed to travel back and forth 3 times from FDL. No compensation at all. According to the paperwork we received from them the CARFAX shows that the Brakes were checked on 6/29/23 by Van Horn Technicians and supposedly in good shape. We purchased the vehicle on Aug 30 2023 and by March of 24 they were shot. Absolutely ridiculous. Then come to find out the vacuum pump dies. I was under the impression that I bought the top warranty package for reason like this only to find out the Sales rep did not purchase this on my behalf. I believed what he told me. $1000 later (out of my pocket) it is fixed. I would hope some one from Van Horn would reach out and at least compensate me for the Brake job that I have to pay as well. I know the Van Horns and that is why I went out there, only to find out it was not what I expected.

Deserves 0 stars but had to pick one. Worked with Kieran on buying a vehicle. For two days we worked over the phone on trade in and finance to get everything ready so we could come in and purchase a specific vehicle quickly. I told them I would put money down on the vehicle and he said I didn t have to, he will just pull it in back. On the day of our appointment, a half hour before leaving to drive an hour to pick up the car, I got a text saying the vehicle sold the night before. Don t work with this company. They are untrustworthy!!

I bought a truck here . It had a title issue that the salesman told me was not a big deal and wouldn t be a problem. I was young and no idea really what I was doing so I trusted him . I now cannot resell the vehicle cause of the title . I paid about 30,000 for the truck and now dealerships are offering me around 1500.00 for a Cummins diesel with 150,000 miles on it , what a joke

Been looking for a new work vehicle off and on for about a month and discovered a HUGE red flag... Car Guru etc shows their cars as having clean histories. As a result the prices appear below market. When I went to Van Horn s website and pulled up the carfax car after car was a lemon buyback or had an accident. Very few of the pre owned vehicles did not have either an accident or a manufacturer buy back warning. Seriously, go to their website and check them for yourself! Certified cars will likely be clean, at least 80% of the rest came back lemons etc!!!Looked at multiple Van Horn dealerships including Manitowoc, Oconomowoc, Plymouth and more and was the same. Appears to be a corporate business decision to buy problem cars at auction cheap, and get traffic in the door by not disclosing on the sales apps vehicle history. You ll save yourself $5k on the front end and if you ever want to sell it, no other dealers will touch it. Manufacturers don t buy cars back because they can fix them the next buyer (that could be you) just bought them!!!! Failure to disclose across the board on CarGuru and others is intentional.

I had my 2021 Hyundai Elantra repaired at van horn ford body shop and my car had been in the shop 3 times for not doing the job correctly the first time and now the car has a leak into the trunk from the repair. This is unacceptable. I m still not satisfied with any of the work they have done at my car. I would like for them to repair it back to new with zero imperfections! Also during repair they don t offer a rental for there mistakes so I am out of a car. I contacted the body shop manager and it was an argument about my new issue so I contacted my insurance company. The car just went to van horn Hyundai to have them figure out the issue for my insurance company can pay for it to be repaired at another body shop. I would appreciate if van horn stepped up and take care of their customer and make this right.

The manager Anthony was overly pushy and rude. He wanted me to buy a truck I didn t want. When I found a truck I did want, and declined their warranty, he said Don t come crying to me in two years I was already approved for financing through my bank at 5.2 APR and Anthony pushed and pushed guaranteeing that they could beat it. So I run my credit, which put a hit on my credit. When they came back with a 5.7 APR he wanted me to use them. When I said no, they acted mad and told me that I could just refinance it through my bank later. Why would I want the extra headache? When I told them that I would just write them a check, they acted like I was stealing the truck. I had a 2012 GMC Sierra as a trade in and they wouldn t go higher than $17,000. He stated that he d be lucky to get $15,000 for it. They are now selling it for almost $28,000. It s not worth that. It has lots of issues. They never sent over the purchase agreement to my bank and they didn t send my plate transfer to the DMV.

I've baughten my 3rd vehicle from the Van Horn group . Travis was an easy to work with Salesman . Explained everything good and made sure I had no questions . Kellyn explained everything about the financial part of the deal and explained the available Insurances very throughly. They both were a pleasure to work with . I love the truck they sold me and will buy from them again .

Hard to even give one star. Tells customer that we have first option to buy seeing we are having vehicle moved to different store. Next day I secure all the financing and stuff then get a call 20 mins before closing saying sorry it was sold pending financing but we have a vehicle that is $4k more but they take care of their customers. Won t be getting any sales from me EVER

My girlfriend went in for an oil change and costed her $700. They change things like lug nuts and fluid- good way to make money for the service writers. Also if no one knows by now- they sell Branded cars- PLEASE be aware. When you drive off the lot you will be most likely upside down. And potentially throw THOUSANDS out the door. Even if it appears to be a good deal .They also markup some cars above MSRP- very nice!Just doing my part to help the community :)

My husband thought he was going to be purchasing a car and the dealership would shortly be calling him to make a deposit over the telephone until he could purchase it. But, "as luck would have it" they have absolutely no follow through nor good will to customers and sold it several hours after that conversation. But not to worry. He was now free to buy a more expensive vehicle. And the kicker is they actually followed up to see if he'd be keeping his appointment after selling the vehicle. I don't know how common this is here but they definitely treated him with a nonchalant "I gotta get mine" attitude.

Beware! This company participates in buying and selling your data! I somehow got put on this company's spam email list. I don't even live on this side of the country, and I've never been to this place!

Purchased this vehicle about 2 months ago from the Plymouth location (which I stay 3hours away). Within a week the engine light was on, I had loud humming noise coming from the car, the smell of antifreeze and my driver's side handle lock was not working. Took the car to the Steven's point location to have it checked out. They stated it was wheel bearings and they replaced the 2 back ones, got a new door handle and expansion tank cap.. Finally got my car back and started driving home only to hear the same exact noise and the engine light came back on not even a week later and the car still smelled like antifreeze. Took the car back and dropped it off. Received a call stating the tech heard nothing and wasnt sure what I was hearing, but there was a pin hole in the expansion tank that caused a fluid leak. I then drove back the next day and rode in the car with 2 techs. I pointed the loud annoying humming noise that you could clearly hear. So the techs suggested changing out the front driver side wheel bearing (which I was told they already had changed before I purchased this vehicle). I then get a call the next day stating they had to replace an oxygen bank 1 sensor 2. I was fine with that. I then get another call the day after stating they also had to fix an axle shaft and it would take a few days. I was contacted 3 days later stating the wheel bearing was fixed but there's still a small humming noise, so they hooked chassis ears to the transmission only to find out I needed a new transmission. Finally got my car back Friday of last week (10 days later) and now my seat warmers will not work, when backing up it sounds like something is dragging under my car, the "new" transmission does not shift smoothly and when my heat is on it sounds like a squealing noise is coming from the glove box, which was not a problem before this. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone!!! I have never had such a bad experience in my life purchasing a car. Its definitely stressful and frustrating to know a company would sell cars like this to anyone. If there was actually a 125 point inspection done, then most of these problems would have been caught before they sold it. Buyer beware.

I was very satisfied with buying my new truck experience. I did find this car on Cargurus.com - contacted the dealer. I did get response and I was assigned Mr. Josh Maxey as my salesperson. He did answer my emails very fast - I did get responses in minutes. He did answer all questions directly and accurately. I did run CARFAX check on vehicle. I did get pre-approved by Chrysler Capital, Capital One and other lenders in advance, however, Josh did get me better deal thru another lender (3.99%) - for used car that was less than what other lenders offered or what I was expecting. I decided to ahead with the deal. Car was delivered to my house for no extra charge, they pick up my trade-in in same time. My new pick-up truck arrived very clean, with full tank of gas. I did find no issues on the test drive. Some paperwork was emailed to me day before for review - same paperwork was delivered by the driver. I sign all, we did exchange the vehicle keys and that's it... No extra charges, no hidden fees, no pushing for "extended insurance", etc... Simple, fast and honest deal. I have the truck for few days now and I cannot be happier. THANK YOU JOSH FOR EVERYTHING - It was very pleasant car buying experience.

We purchased two cargo vans from Van Horn and Josh Maxey was excellent to work with for this purchase. We were able to get the vehicles we wanted and the price we were willing to pay.Completing the paperwork was simple and Van Horn even delivered the vehicles to us, saving us the drive and labor to pick the vehicles up.Communication throughout the process was excellent.Highly recommend.

I will say this about Van Horn. I had bought a 2020 Hyundai Palisade at Van Horn in Sheboygan. So I can only relay my experience for this specific dealership location. I had never walked in to this dealership until I was interested in a certain vehicle they had on the lot. I have now been there only twice (to buy the vehicle and to have the recommended preventive maintenance done with the new vehicle). But due to the way I was treated from beginning to end. I feel confident that I WITHOUT A DOUBT made the right choice to travel 43 miles from my home to purchase the vehicle and have any service done at this location from this point forward. Everyone was accommodating and knowledgeable. I feel I could stop in there tomorrow and it would be like they missed me and are glad to see me. Now a lot of cynical people (which I many times have been accused of) would say of course they are, they want to sell a car. I am a great judge of character and can say I don't believe that to be the case. I would and will send all my friends and family there for there car needs. I almost never write a review be it bad or good. But thought I should write a review in this case. Because buying a new car is stressful enough because of the general public feeling that "what aren't they telling me". I have bought many cars in my life from used to new and this is the first time I felt completely comfortable and well informed during the process. Also not having that feeling of there is a 'but' coming. I would suggest this be your first stop when shopping for a car and make your own decision. If it is a little out of your way from your home. I feel that a car is a big ticket item so you want to purchase and service a big ticket item where you have confidence in the people helping you accomplish that. And you get to take a little road trip in your "new" car. I believe it to be a gem in the vary many choices of car dealerships.

Do not sell them your car. They will waste your time, and offer you a price they think you ll take to get you in the door and then try to lowball you once you re there. After being upfront with the sales staff about the history and condition of our car, we made a three hour round-trip to try and sell our Cadillac out right. Even asked before making the trip if we could go to a closer Van Horn location for the inspection and was told no, that we needed to drive all the way to Fond du Lac to the Hyundai dealer to have our Cadillac inspected by Hyundai service tech. We were also told that said inspection would only take less than a half an hour but we sat there for almost 2 hours before being told that they weren t going to honor the quote that they originally gave us before driving up there. We were prepared to do a trade for our vehicle and buy a car off of their lot and they still jacked us around and wasted our time. I will never recommend any Van Horn auto group dealer to anyone I know.

I was amazed by the customer service of this dealership. I was loathing the idea of buying a new car. My last purchase took over four hours and wasted a good portion of my Saturday. I received a great deal on a car right for my family. There was no upselling. They were straight forward with the numbers. They were honest about extended warranties. And the provided legendary customer service. Mike and Donna were extremely pleasant to work with. We conducted most of the deal through email. They everdeen delivered the vehicle to my front door. I can not Express how happy I am with this experience.

Nick was amazingly helpful and went above and beyond for us! We purchased three 15 passenger Van's from them and I had staff out of town for training. Instead of us having to wait, they personally delivered the Van's to us, several hours away! This was a painless, pleasant experience all around! Thank you again! I would highly recommend Van Horn!

I do not recommend trying to purchase a vehicle from this group if you are out of state. I have a business that needed multiple vehicles purchased and I have a very specific criteria for what I'm looking for and one specific F150 showed up through AutoTrader search at this dealership. I put my request in on a Sunday. Monday someone got back to me and I asked specific questions about shipping and if rain guards could be attached. It was not until Wednesday that I got a call back from Greg Szymanski. He said he would see if anything could happen with adding rain guards for me. I needed to know the shipping cost. It was a day or so after that he got back to me but I still didn't have an answer if they could add rain guards. I inquired again and I guess he was out of the office so I never heard back. Finally on Saturday almost a week later from my original inquiry when I asked again if he had an answer because I'm very interested in this vehicle he told me that another person was coming in to look at the truck today and I asked to have first priority and even discuss a deposit to hold it until they could get me an answer about rain guards and he said they don't do that. Then to my dismay I was told that afternoon the vehicle was purchased. I was a cash buyer and ready to purchase that vehicle and wished I would not have even asked about these rain guards that could have been added because it took almost a week and they did nothing to help facilitate a sale for me. Having spoken to Greg and one other person at the dealership they both prided themselves in how often people like to purchase from them that are not local. That surely was not the customer service I received.

I live in Pennsylvania, so dealing with someone sight unseen in Wisconsin was a leap of faith. I made a great choice in dealing with these guys, both Donna & Josh were excellent to work with, and I highly recommend them! We were in and out of the dealership in literally 2 minutes and were on our way home. Thank you so much you guys!Best,Mark C.

We purchased a used Chrysler Town and Country van and had an awesome experience. Still have it after 5+ years! Will definitely buy our next vehicle from them. There repair center in Plymouth also did a great job repairing a different vehicle that had extensive damage from hitting a deer! Great people!

I purchased a used Equinox from them about 6 months ago. In March, I had engine trouble and footed the bill at $1500. Now in May, I experienced similar issues. When I brought it to an independent dealer, they told me I needed a new engine. Brought it back to Van Horn and they are telling me the same thing. New engine. When I questioned why something like this was not caught when the car was on their lot, manager Jerry said "I'm not insinuating anything, but this is an ongoing issue." I did not even drive the car more than 5k miles, which tells me that this big of an issue would have been visible before I made the purchase. They are only offering to knock $1000 off the cost of the engine. They do not back their work, and they will not back you if you make a purchase at Van Horn. Do not trust them.

A very unprofessional group of salesman, sales manager and COO. Was trying to purchase a car from out of state. It took over a week and several phone calls to finally get to talk to someone. My boys took a day off to drive out to see it. After liking the vehicle, they asked to contact their father to talk over the price. No one called back for several days and after several attempts on my part, I finally got someone. At this point I should have realized this dealership is either disorganized of poor business practices. I told him my price and said if they agreed, I would put a down payment on right away. Instead they ignored me and sold it to someone else and never contacted me. The president of the company told me in an email the next day that they conduct business like CarMax. No negotiations and first come first serve. So after all my efforts and time and money, no sale. The only thing I got from this experience was the president telling me that he was sorry I do not like their way of selling cars.

Never buy from this place!!!!!! I have owned my Touareg for 7 months now and stuck over a grand in it fixing things that where good ..replaced blower motor, had to get new brakes 6000 miles into owning it.(said they where replaced brand new) radio stopped working 2 months into owning it. Battery went out, check engine lights randomly. And when replacing battery in car I found a lot of perception pain killers and adhd medication. When I brought this up to the dealer they didn t even apologize for drugs or even offer for them to clean it out properly after any of this. I do not suggest ever buying anything from a van horn dealership ever again.

It was one of the best vehicle buying experiences that I have ever had. They were great to deal with and did what they said they would do. It was well worth the 500 mile drive and I had a dealer within 20 miles. Quality people for sure.
