Consumer, beware Valvoline instant oil change on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee, may not be doing your greasing of vehicle, as outlined on their website stating that you will receiv e (lubrication of the chassis components according to your vehicles manufacturers specifications) which is vital to maintain safety of your vehicle, and prolong the life of steering and suspension parts. on November 29th I took my 2018 GMC 3500 HD to Valvoline for a full service oil change and requested that they make sure they grease all grease fittings. The technician that was processing the work order seemed confused to my request and then a second technician looked under the wheel well and stayed I don t think so? a third technician said do we even do that anymore? There was talk about do we have a grease gun?The reason I specifically asked them to grease all fittings was because in the past bringing numerous vehicles to Valvoline at that location we have noticed that the grease fittings were not being maintained and even had to take a vehicle back two days after having a oil change because the oil filter was leaking as it was not even hand tight. leaving puddles of oil on the concrete driveway it seem to me that there 270 hour of training program is not being provided to the employees.I assumed that they figured out my request, and they proceeded with the full-service oil change that I was billed for and paid. Upon my inspection of grease fittings 15 minutes later, I was shocked to see that they did not even grease one of the 12 fittings that are on our 2018 GMC pick up truck . I then drove back to the Capital Dr., Valvoline to confront the employees. I asked to speak with the manager that now had five employees around him and asked do you include greasing of fittings with the oil change? He said yes. I stated that I was just here and requested that they grease all the fittings and they did not even touch one. He did not apologize or explain why they did not do their job. He said I could bring the truck back and they would perform the service that I originally requested and paid for, I told the manager that I was not comfortable bringing the vehicle back to them as they already had the opportunity to fulfill their obligation. I stated I will be taking the vehicle to the dealership and having the work performed.( At no time did the manager say there grease gun was broken.)I then reached out to the Valvoline corporate headquarters to express my concerns. The lady was very nice and understanding. She said she would reach out to the owner of the franchise and someone would be getting back to me, approximately five hours later the owner of that location did call me back and explained that he contacted that service center and they told him they did not have a working grease gun. That would be hard for me to believe as they have three service bays and no grease gun? He did not apologize and said he was ordering two grease guns and they should be there tomorrow. He stated to me that I could bring the vehicle to one of his other locations and they would perform the service. I explain to him that I already made an appointment and dropped off the vehicle at the dealership and will be providing him the invoice when completed for reimbursement he insisted that he will not be reimbursing me for my expense. FYI more than likely all customers that used Valvoline instant oil change on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee on November 29, 2023 may have not received the (lubrication of the chassis components according to your vehicles manufacturers specifications)My experience at this location has been very disappointing and it seems like the owner and manager are not very interested in improving or providing customer satisfactionThe only positive was that the corporate office did show great concern, and did not want to offend me, but offered a free oil change. I told her that was not what I wanted, but I would except it and return to the Pewaukee location with one of our other trucks to see if things have changed? I will update the public.

Haven t needed an oil change in a minute, but when I did I knew where to go, this spot, doesn t matter who works on your car the service is always top notch, professional and friendly, I d even say educational because they explain what they re doing and why it s necessary, they do push products and services and I always say yes to at least 80% of it and have never had a hiccup, today I was helped by jack and Guillermo, both fantastic, quick. Jack helped me get new wipers that he recommended and they re awesome, Guillermo while seeming new was pretty quick around the car and very polite. All in all I m always impressed with this location and these boys proved me right again today, if you need an oil change this is the spot!

We always brought our cars there when it was still Penzoil. Second visit since it was changed to Valvoline. .Every time I was there, I ended up with my car having a problem (note, it was 2 different cars each time) when it was running fine prior to just an oil change service. Both times, my car won t start after an oil change and offering me to buy a new battery from them. Had then jump start the car and brought to where we purchased the current battery and they tested it, and their machine reading stating battery is good. Very shady! Will never ever go there again!

I was a little skeptical when I saw the comments online but decided to give it a try anyways. I am happy with the service I got. They are efficient and organized. All the items were explained to me clearly. I would come back and recommend this place to other people I know.

Best valvoline experience ever!!! They're so professional and thorough, they checked lights, fluids, battery, tire pressure, filters, and more while the locations on north and silver spring have only checked my tires and my filters a couple times. The wait was a little longer but worth the extra care they put in.Zack did a great job checking me in and explaining everything the guys were doing. Also, he explained the other services valvoline provides very well. He explained what and why and the price and time difference vs. going to a dealership.Jose did a great job checking my battery, filling the oil, showing me the dip stick, etc.Justin was underneath and while I didn't see him I'm sure he did just as great.(1/11/24)Highly recommend this location.Side note: do NOT go to the take 5, especially not the one on capital and lily :) they might be cheaper but in my experience it's because their staff is underqualified

We had a horrible experience with 2 staff members in December. They are no longer at this location. Manager Gunner & Nic are a new crew here and incredible. We had an oil leak that was ignored by previous employees and we came back today. Gunner & Nic outstanding service. You just retained our business & trust in the brand. Thank you for taking our concerns seriously & fixing the problem from the previous staff.

The technician had told my spouse to start the car before I was able to say there is no oil in it. Very disorganized, they didn't change the oil filter until I spoke up, and now there is potential damage to the engine. Go elsewhere.

Went in about a month ago to have my tires rotated. Had to get out of the car and go to the waiting room. It was absolutely filthy; looked like it hadn't been cleaned in at least a year. There was even a newspaper on a table from August of 2022. Unfortunately, I had to use the restroom while I was there. It also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in at least a year...filthy toilet, filthy sink, Dawn dishwashing liquid for handsoap. As if that wasn't bad enough, I got human feces on my hand from the toilet paper dispenser. Disgusting! Won't be going back!

When I got there it was obvious disorganization. No one walked up to my car, told me what was going on. They just waved me in. For them to tell me the computers were down but I was assured I could be serviced. After service the card reader wasn't working and I was treated like it was my fault. I was told I couldn't leave when they had me in the bay even though they had my address on file and refused to send me a bill in the mail instead the horrible employee named alexsandra told me "this is how things are done" standing with her arms crossed extremely rude when I had a pregnant girl waiting on me. It was a horrible experience, absolutely awful. Do not go here.

The recent reviews are spot on. The change from Penzoil to Valvoline resulted in a 50% rate increase and issues.After finding a puddle of oil, brought my car in for service to find it was from the oil change leaking from the drain plug and oil filter.EDIT: No response to two direct contacts to VIOC. Better Business Bureau also received no responses after three attempts.

There today. Rudest man on the planet today. He should be promoted to customer. Barked orders at a customer, was put out to explain pricing, when She asked to just leave from the treatment, customer had to ask him to put the hood down. Come on man, get it together. Had been getting oil changed there since the building was built. This place has lost their touch of the meaning of customer service, especially when the new pricing there is over $100 bucks. Customer lost.

First oil change ever where my car stank like oil after the job was done. Engine vanity cover was covered in a film of hastily wiped up oil. I had to completely wash down my engine bay last night. Oil film on the filter side of the engine too. Was far better as a Pennzoil location. Seemed to be on the right track after it changed hands this year, even though they were a little over the top with the up-selling. The opening crew is gone now, replaced with what looks like unskilled labor.

This place was once my go to place. Especially when it was Pennzoil. Paul and Mike? (big guy, always wore shorts) were there. Now it is just another business run down by people with no work ethic or customer service aptitude.

These guys are the BEST! Needed a quick oil change for my 2018 Mini Countryman. I needed them to use a Mini oil filter and Mini/BMW oil as well so my warranty wouldn t void. Awesome staff that went above and beyond.

First time I ve been to this location. I came in to get an oil change and transmission fluid flush; Andrew was SO amazing. He was attentive, efficient, and fast. Definitely recommend to others and will be coming back.

Took my car for an oil change. Ever since, my car has been leaking oil all over my garage. I went back to the store the same day even though I had to drive 30 min each way, and they redid my oil change. It s still leaking! They never offered me any sort of compensation for this massive issue. They clearly damaged my car as it never leaked before. Do not come here!Service: Oil change

Quick service but price was high and they cost me an extra $100 at my dealership because they said my thermostat was bad and needed to be replaced which wasn't the case. It was fine. So either not very knowledgeable or were trying to screw me. Which doesn't shock me but still wanted to point that out. I won't be returning.

I used to come here before it changed hands. Pricing doubled and no mention of it, I have a car that takes synthetic that costs usually around 50-60$ for an oil change, they charged 110$.

This place was a fast and reliable place to go for an oil change when it was still Penzoil. I stopped in there recently for an oil change not really paying attention that it had changed over. Only one employee from Penzoil is still there, and he's awesome. Unfortunately, if you don't get him...good luck. The manager/lead that I had the misfortune to deal with helped make my decision to not return very easy. In addition to walking away multiple times to take personal phone calls, when I declined having the cabin filter inspected, because I personally just replaced the filter a month ago, he immediately questioned if I actually replaced it. When I replied, it's only a few small screws and a filter cover, he snapped back, that he knew I didn't replace it because a panel snaps off. I understand trying to upsell a service but you NEVER tell someone, especially a customer, what they did or didn't do. I will not return to this location and don't recommend going there, unless you know you'll get the one employee who stayed on from Penzoil.Service: Oil change

I very rarely do reviews but I feel this location deserves one. I've been to this place a few times for different services on my vehicle. The guys here have always been awesome! Great service, very friendly and most importantly they are very honest. I work in the service industry and I always look for certain characteristics. This business has integrity, they are team minded, efficient and they go the extra mile! THANKS!

Used to bring my work van and personal vehicle here when it was penzoil. Ulgreat group of guys. There's one guy left and he's amazing still but Valvoline charges 113 for a synthetic oil change. They don't put the prices on the board outside anymore so you find out the ridiculous charge when you're in the bay. They also try to sell you on EVERYTHING even after stating multiple times I only want an oil change.Not only that but it's an entire new crew and management. Most of them are kids. I've had a valvoline not put any oil in my car before and I'm not about to risk it again.

If you're a "car guy" it can be difficult to trust others to work on your vehicle - but these guys have earned it from me over the past few years. Always professional, efficient, and polite. They may cost a little more than a dealer or independent mechanic, but the convenience is worth it. Plus they don't try to sell me a bunch of junk I don't need it.Service: Oil change

Not off to a good start. Car ran out of oil. Here at the place and staff just looking at customers in line but no one is even coming out to tell us how long of a wait. WHILE MY CAR HAS NO OIL! Waiting lo ger for staff to acknowledge us than an oil change even takes
