I have taken both my truck and my Equinox to the chevy services here. In both instances the vehicles had been kept for the day. I had not received phone calls either time telling me that they were done with my vehicle, so I had to call them myself. The truck was making a noise upon a cold start that would last until the engine warmed up, I had also requested an oil change. When I called Jim said that they did not hear the noise all day and that they had forgotten to do the oil change. An hour later (after the oil change and still no call) I showed up and the truck was ready. I walked Jim out to the truck and the noise was instantly heard on start-up. His response was to not worry about it unless it gets worse. This bill was over $100. Similar experience with my car. I had informed Jim when scheduling a time that the Equinox was consuming oil. I knew this was a common issue with this year. I had informed him that I had changed the oil and determined on my own that there were no exterior leaks present. The day this vehicle was at the shop, Jim was off for the day (as is his right). My issue was his notes- Vehicle using oil . The technicians then spent an hour looking for an oil LEAK and CHANGING the oil. (no dye) I had informed Jim the next day that I had specifically told him that these two things were already done and I shouldn t have to pay for their $139 miscommunication. He had told me he would call me back later that day. It has been almost two weeks, and I haven t received a single call, even after I had attempted to call them and left a voicemail.

Kerri Nichols in the service department goes above and beyond. He will answer any questions and if he doesn't know he will find out and get back to you.Jon Solie in Sales is very cordial and pleasant to work with.Have bought several vehicles from Jon and will return to Nels Gunderson for future purchases.

Do not buy vehciles from them. They lie and clear codes to make it your problem. Bought a 2020 used 3500 Chevy and 200 miles later THE FOLLOWING DAY after buying major emmissions issues and the truck is in limp mode. Unforunately we were 3 hours away..Sales guy told us that the dealership would cover the repairs if we took it to another dealership to get the work done. We took it to another Chevy dealershikp and Nels Gunderson DID NOT reimburse us. Nels Gunderson said after the fact that it would not be covered unless we brought it to them and we were lied to by our sales guy. Not to mention, they likely bought it with an emmissions issue, bought it at an even more discounted price, cleared the code, marked up the price and then in 500 miles when it went through another regen cycle, the emissions issue reappeared and it was our problem. In our experince we recieved a poor quality truck and were most likely intentionally screwed. I'd like to be contacted by Nels Gunderson and the situation be corrected.

Couldnt install air intake filter properly left with check engine light. Techs were unable troubleshoot codes that had to do with sensor near filter. I read codes myself and with google had fixed i 20 min. Not impressed with how they just rammed the filter in and bent retaining clip.

Jon Solie is the best of the best when it comes to sales people. Personable, genuine, honest and trustworthy are just some of his traits that brought me back to Nels Gunderson Chevrolet. I hope Jon is there for many years to come.Mallory in finance is also a very friendly and courteous individual with a kind smile. This is the second vehicle in a row that I have had the pleasure of working with both Jon and Mallory. Excellent!

Everyone I dealt with from the second I walked in to he door were great people. They were not pushy and answered any questions I had. The folks all talked great about working at Nels. I actually won t buy a vehicle from somewhere the I feel doesn t treat employees right. Because if employees don t matter to them, I know I don t matter to them.Everyone from Erika to Derek were personable and approachable. The lady helping with paperwork from Duluth was awesome and she said how much she loves it at Nels.Nels treats them well and I was treated awesome because of that. I got a good deal on an awesome truck! You ve earned a customer that will not buy anywhere else again!

We are extremely happy we drove 2.5 hours to work with Nels Gunderson Chevy, it was an excellent decision. The salesman & financing associate we worked with were more then accommodating, no pressure & went above and beyond our expectations. They even filled my new vehicle up with a full tank of fuel before we left the dealership. Highly recommend these folks and we ll be back when we re ready for our next purchase!

I have nothing to say but good things about each person I met and worked with at Nels! Briar was PHENOMENAL in every part of the sales process. I was very eager to get my new Traverse and at times even a bit impatient. He was always quick to update me with any information he received on the ETA of the vehicle and was quick to respond with any other questions I had. When we picked up the vehicle I never felt rushed with all the questions I had and he had the answer to all of them. Working with Mallory was also a breeze. He was helpful and knowledgeable with every piece of paperwork and made it painless. I cannot say how refreshing it felt to walk into a dealership without anyone rushing us or pushing us for "extras." We will share our experience with anyone and everyone looking for a new vehicle!

I have taken my car to Nels Gunderson Chevrolet more times than I can count and probably paid for the car 3 fold with all of the repairs I ve had done. I ve never had anything but great experiences with the service department and staff. Until this last time! I have called 3 times, was supposed to receive a call back and still haven t gotten a call 5 days later. I want to discuss how and why I was charged for a thermostat that had been replaced by boyfriend 4 days before I took my car in to the Dealership. Also, when the mileage was put on my paperwork it was stated that the car had been driven 2 miles. But when I got in, the mileage was 15 miles over what was stated on the paperwork. Why? I m honestly shocked that this happened because Nels Gunderson Chevrolet Service department has never done me wrong. I no longer have confidence in the establishment and will unfortunately have to find a new service department to fix my car. The check engine light came on while I was driving home from the shop and has been on since. Super sad and dissatisfied by all of this.

I took my Equinox in for routine maintenance (AKA oil change), tire rotation (I have had the vehicle since Dec 2020 and have not quite driven 12,000 miles but thought this was needed), and asked them to check the windshield wipers. They replaced the wipers and when finishing the wiper bar snapped down and made a crack in the windshield. I was informed of this and the shop manager informed me that they would have the windshield replaced for me. He contacted an area business who then contacted me to set up an appointment for next week. I would not have noticed the initial crack under the wiper blades, so I was very impressed that they took immediate action to notify me and to contact a local business to make the necessary replacement of the windshield. Gunderson Chevrolet has a history of excellent service to its customers and that is what keeps people coming back to a dealership built on integrity.

I was very happy with the work that was performed. The waiting area was very nice and comfortable. The prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this dealership over the one in the Chippewa Falls area.

I was driving up 2.5 hours from Edgerton to get the truck and wanted to be in and out in a hurry. Derek was great! He made sure everything was ready to go on the truck! Presley was great! She answered all our finance questions and covered our options on the phone, she had everything ready when we got there. Briar was great! He answered all of our questions on delivery, knew everything about the truck and trim. I asked for fast, and they delivered! Best dealership experience I have had, hands down. Love the truck!

I received excellent service from the Service department. I backed into a tree and busted my taillight. I called same day to order a replacement part, which they had in stock. The correct taillight was installed the same day at a discounted price. Excellent knowledge of the service team. Thanks

Always have been happy with the service. Last time in I did a tire rotation, the rear tires were wearing and put to the front and nobody said a thing. I took it to Farm & Fleet it turned out that the rear tires had been set up with both tires turned slightly to the inside. I had to rotate the tires back. They said that the tread depth was .3 on the inside of both rear tires and .6 on the outside. I have done all my service for this car at the dealership and believe that this should have been caught in the inspections.

From the minute I entered the door, I was greeted by James and was treated royally.The whole process went quickly and Patti in finance was courteous and gave me different options.
