I brought my blazer in for alignment and a few service points. It came back driving like a new vehicle and the service points were all taken care of. Included was a free vehicle inspection. I would recommend these guys confidently knowing customer service is high on their list of priorities. Kudos and thumbs up.

During my career in the automotive industry I have worked with over 1,000 shops helping to improve their performance and customer satisfaction. McDermott Automotive meets the goal of a high performing repair facility. From drop off to pick up, Peter was in constant contact with me on the repair. Jack did an amazing job of getting the carburetor on our 1973 Corvette adjusted and operating at peak performance. I definitely would recommend this shop to all who are looking for GREAT customer service and getting the repair done right the first time. 5 out of 5 Stars!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Oil change

Amazing service! It was my first time here and I couldn t be more pleased! Peter made my experience here a breeze! He was able to squeeze my car in and fix my tire and and have an oil change in the same day and have it done by the end of the day. Not only did he keep me updated throughout the day with the status of my car but he also noticed 2 additional problems. With a call back and an approval through me he went on to fixed those 2 things, (brake light out & tire rotation) where as others would have bypassed them and focus only what the appointment was scheduled for. I Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone.Services: Tires, Oil change

I have been to McDermott Automotive several times with several vehicles. They are VERY through in their inspections making sure they photograph each problem and document everything in writing. They have always told me what I NEED to have done and what could wait but should have looked at in the near future.They have a special program for people without enough money or if they don't want to put it on their credit card. The program is through NAPA. Instead of 24 months and 24K mile Warranty if you go through this program it is 6 months interest free and 36 month or 36K miles on all work done. So even if you do have money you can still take advantage of this program like I did.The people there, from the front desk to the mechanics, are very friendly and helpful and explain in detail what is needed to be done. I am happy with them and as long as I am in the area I will continue to use their service.I almost forgot to mention that they even supply you with a loaner car to use instead of having to walk back home or rely on someone for a ride.Services: Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

In Feb 23 I unfortunately had my car engine vandalized. I have used McDermott before for oil changes and decided to have my car towed there. The damages needed to be assessed first, as we did not know the extent. Turned out that my wiring harness had been cut in many unfortunate places as well as my fuel line. Replacing the fuel line was the easy part, but the wiring was unrepairable, and the wiring harness needed to be replaced. We experienced a bit of delay obtaining the part, but as soon as they got it, they put 2 mechanics on the job and it was completed very quickly. I really appreciated their hard work and coordination with my insurance company. My advice; use McDermott for service and LOCK your car!!!

I had them install a leveling kit on my 2018 Silverado. They also put tires on that I had bought and did an alignment on my truck. I was very pleased with their service! Very professional. Told me what is was going to cost and was exactly what they said it was going to be. Did all the work to my truck on a timely fashion. I am absolutely happy with how my truck turned out! Definitely would recommend them working on your vehicle!Services: Tires, Installation, Wheel alignment

We were in the area from out of town and our vehicle broke down. We had it towed here because we heard about their great reputation. Peter was very friendly and kept us informed on the process. My vehicle is all fixed and it was done at a reasonable price. Thanks so much!

McDermott Automotive replaced the transfer case on my Cadillac SUV. I had never even heard of a transfer case, and Peter patiently explained to me every step that they would need to take and why. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!! They offer after-hours pick-up and drop off, which was key for my crazy schedule! I highly recommend this contentious small business owner You won t be disappointed!!

McDermott Automotive did an awesome job fixing my pickup. The starter went out on my p/u on a Friday on our way to our daughter's college graduation ceremony several hrs away. We dropped off the p/u around noon. I wasn't expecting it to be done until Tuesday. They were able to get a new starter delivered and had it installed before the end of the day. It was a real pleasure working with Peter McDermott. He runs a clean, professional shop. They Did an excellent job with the repairs and their service team was outstanding. I was impressed by the level of professionalism they display and the care they have for the customer. McDermott Auto Services replacement all four tires, front wheel bearings, front & rear shocks and brakes & rotors on our Silverado. Although we had a ton of work replaced, I was very impressed with the final price. They gave options on replacement of parts and gave details on the differences in cost. Peter at the service desk followed through and made sure we were fully satisfied. Even their courtesy car is well maintained and clean. I have used McDermott for a couple of years now for oil changes & minor work. I had a humming noise coming from the front. I took it in & got the oil changed & asked them to check out the noise. I was told my front bearings on passenger side needed to be replaced. They replaced the passenger side and away I went. The noise came back, so I called & Peter was so helpful. He told me to bring it the car back & they would check it out. The bearings were out on the front drivers side. They fixed it right away and gave me such a great deal on it! Great people! Great service! Great communication! I love how they break things down as to what needs to be done right now and what can wait if need be and don't try to push unneeded work! Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! I recommend them to anyone needing work done! Oh and they are great at getting you in as soon as possible when unexpected issues come up and even offer loaner cars if needed!! My whole family uses them and we have all been very happy with their work!!

We absolutely love McDermott Automotive! We have taken our vehicles to several places and now ONLY take our cars to McDermott. It is beyond nice to know exactly whom we are talking to when we call. They all go way above and beyond to make it the most convenient for customers. McDermott offers a courtesy car, which they will never know how much we appreciate that! If there is higher rating than a five stars. I would definitely do. Peter and all the staffs are amazing . They do really care and value their customers. They don t just fix the problem/s then that s about it . Instead they ask you about how the vehicle is doing after fixing it... I definitely recommend this place !!! They are very honest to the highest level . They do Listen and explain what is needed to be done .. One thing for sure I am very amazed how quick the vehicle report is done and of course the professionalism..

Wonderful experience! They got me in on very short notice and kept me updated throughout the process with texts, pictures, and phone calls. They are very professional and trustworthy. The prices are good and far less than what you would pay at the dealership. Taking it to McDermott's is worth the drive to know that they will do great work at a great price. There is no question that I will only take my vehicles there in the future. Great company to work with!

Jack and Peter were both great! We started going to McDermott's based on the recommendation of a friend. Recently, I was experiencing some issues with my truck. I called and arranged to bring it in. They provided me with a loaner car, diagnosed the issues, fixed one of them and then explained the other issue. Although It would need to be handled at a Chevy dealership as it would be under warranty, they didn't try to push me into just having the work done there. I appreciate the thoroughness, the quality of work, the communication and explanation of the work done and what was left along with the very reasonable end price. They have certainly earned our business and we would recommend them to anyone. Thanks fellas!!

Peter kept me in the loop the entire time my vehicle was being serviced. Peter gave me a quote for the cost of my vehicle repairs before execution, as well as future repairs I inquired about. The vehicle is back on the road with all requested repairs complete. I contacted McDermott Automotive about getting some new tires for my car. They emailed me with some choices, and they looked for some deals. They worked with me on my schedule to get my car in. They called/texted when my car was done and answered all my questions about my tire wear on the old ones. Very friendly and great service. I will be giving them my service again. Giving the small local business my business:)

Having just moved to the area, I did not know where to go when my battery died. After getting a charge I stopped into McDermott Automotive without an appointment and explained the situation. Without hesitation they took my car in to assess the situation, suggested it would be best to replace the battery and did just that, all in 35 minutes! Friendly and competent staff. It was a great experience at a new service center. Highly recommend .

Staff was great about communicating with me after they found a problem with my suspension. After authorizing them to do the work They diligently tracked down the correct parts for my vehicle and had the work done quickly. I cannot say enough good things about McDermott Automotive. The staff is always friendly courteous and knowledgeable. They send you a link where it has pictures of your vehicle and what is wrong and needs attention immediately, what will need attention soon, and what is in good shape. After sending you this link they call and discuss it with you to see that you understand and what you wish to do. I have never had this offered by anyone else. The prices at McDermott's are very reasonable too. I will not go anywhere else for my vehicle service.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

I love the speed and affordability of oil changes, as well as the oil change card that has every 5th oil change being free. I love the multi point inspection with details and pictures, if necessary, where the results get texted to me. With my last oil change appointment, they provided me a quote for the oil leak that was well known to me, as well as a transmission leak for a very reasonable price for the amount of labor that it was going to take. Even though the process took longer than quoted, because of my car being a pain to pull apart, I still only got charged the quoted price! They had also provided a courtesy car while my car was in the shop, which was great! Their team is very friendly and willing to share anything they can about your car. I definitely recommend McDermott for any of your auto repair and regular maintenance needs!

We purchased my daughter's first car from McDermott and this turned out to be a very important life lesson - buy from a dealership or private seller next time. The car appeared to be OK at the time but within just a few months had put nearly the same amount as the purchase price into car repairs (engine, transmission) and found that a lot of cosmetic work had been done to hide some serious rust on the frame. We had discussed the body work at the time of hire but it was not disclosed that this was due to extensive rust around the back part of the vehicle (which to be fair appears to be a flaw in the Patriot car design and not unique to this vehicle). In the end, we wound up selling the car for scrap and for my 16 year old who was so excited to buy her first car after working a for minimum wage and saving for years, wound up with $250 in her pocket to show for it after selling the vehicle. The garage appears to be good for automotive work - I simply wouldn't recommend buying a car from them.
