I went to Dons transmission to get a second opinion on my car as I was told the transmission was crapping out on me. Dons was able to get me in for that second opinion and for $130 later to be told yup the transmission needs to be replaced and was told December 4th they were able to fit me in to get it fixed. The car is still drivable and since it is my ONLY vehicle I had no choice but to drive it around. I hadn t heard from dons in 2 weeks and my appointment date was approaching so I thought I would call to confirm. I asked if we were good to go on Monday and Jeff said oh sorry we had more cars come in over thanksgiving and we can t fit your car in to fix it anymore . NO ONE was going to call me and tell me that they could no longer get me in because as Jeff said they don t have a secretary to deal with that stuff . So I would have showed up on Monday thinking my car was going to get fixed when in reality it probably would have sat there and I would ve been without a car for who knows how long. This was a time sensitive issue and the lack of respect and service was beyond me. Yes I was told they do good work but the lack of respect for my situation and lack of communication would make this place a no go for me.

I was driving by on the interstate when I had an issue with my F350. The tow truck took me to Don s. The driver said that they would take good care of me. We just left it there as it was after hours. I was on the phone with Jeff first thing the next morning. He took a look at it and got back to me promptly. He had a plan, he located a part( in Texas) he gave me a price and had my truck back on the road in four days. I couldn t be more impressed. The price was more than reasonable. They were professional, efficient and friendly. I would recommend them to anybody.Service: Transmission

Don's is fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. We were told by a dealership in La Crosse that we would need a new transmission due to a non-serviceable bushing inside the trans. I called Don's, they gave me an honest and realistic timeline (they are busy, they said it would likely take a week or so) and they ended up just discovering an improperly installed part. A simple repair saving me thousands. Their pricing was fair and their service was excellent. 5 stars!Service: Transmission

Cannot thank Don's Transmission enough! We originally took our vehicle to a dealer in the area who said we needed our transmission replaced and quoted us a price. We called Dons and they quoted us half the price. We took our vehicle in, fully expecting to need a new transmission and Don's called us telling us that we just needed a new pan and filter. They saved us thousands of dollars and were honest about what we needed done. I highly recommend them!Service: Transmission

Highly recommend! Great work, great price and will be the only place I go if I ever have transmission issues. They went above and beyond for me to help me out. I was referred to Don's by a friend who has had multiple transmissions done by this awesome place I had no idea existed. 5 Stars

I dropped by and spoke with them, they took my truck and helped with a rebuilt transmission and did all that in 1 week, they called me and gave me updates, they did the job for what they said it would costs. When I thought I had an issue with the new transmission they spent their time to make sure it wasn't the transmission. The old truck runs great now and I was very satisfied with the service at Don's . I would highly recommend!

I was very impressed with this transmission place. I had a problem that was diagnosed by a dealer. I called Don's based in a referral from another mechanic. An employee from Don's asked me some questions over the phone and gave me some tasks to try at home. He probably spent 20 minutes with me on the phone. I ended up having to bring the vehicle in, but my bill to resolve the issue was $116 vs upwards of $500 that the dealer quoted me. Furthermore, I feel like I truely understand the issue and what was done to resolve it. I never thought I would write a review raving about a transmission shop.

Great experience with Don's Transmission Service.They took my vehicle in, got it repaired quickly and within the price I was quoted. Hopefully I'll never have to need them again but if I do they'll get my business again.

Jeff and his wife took care of me when my transmission blew on a multi-state road trip.He was honest, fair, and the experience was the best case scenario for the situation! Very thankful for Don s crew and the great work they do!

Jeff is awesome! When every place else told me it would be a week until they could look at my Jeep, and pretty much blew me off, Jeff was happy to help, got parts over nighted, kept me informed of progress, and got my Jeep repaired, in under 24/hrs! Polite, professional & knowledgeable!!

We were in the area to pick up our son at UW-Lax and found ourselves with a broken axel. Thank goodness we found Don's! They were prompt, professional, and thorough. The tech was completely upfront about the problem and likelihood of it being completed quickly. But the car was fixed within a couple hours and at a reasonable price. We were able to return home that evening and are so grateful for this business.

Had my rear differential rebuild by them on my 2006 GMC sierra they did a great job and kept me updated took them only a week highly recommend.

I had my A904 transmission for my 1965 Plymouth Barracuda rebuilt by Don s and the price was fair and they got it done in a timely manner!Highly recommend

We were told our transmission was going out in our flex. We took it to Don's. .. They were honest and said it's probably a motor mount causing the issues! Hands down, best customer service. And I appreciate a company that won't tell you something is wrong if it's not!! !!

I called there and the lady told me they will look at it and do the a test to see what codes come up. When I got there the guy won't even test drive the car or check the fluid, nothing. He said that we don't look at them, we just replace them.

Ask Jeff to upgrade my transmission on my Dodge Ram to handle 800hp and he did an amazing job in budget and the response with it locking up is off the charts
