Title: Mixed Experiences at Dahl Honda in Onalaska, WI: A Customer's PerspectiveI recently had an encounter with Dahl Honda in Onalaska, WI, that left me with mixed feelings. My journey began with the initial scheduling of a service appointment for my 2021 Honda Passport. The services required included an oil change, recall services, troubleshooting auto headlights, and addressing an issue with the windshield cleaner motor. Interestingly, upon scheduling the appointment over the phone, I was informed that I would receive a callback to confirm, which I found unusual since I believed the appointment was already set. Unfortunately, the callback never came, prompting me to follow up days later. During this follow-up, I discovered my appointment was not on the schedule. The representative quickly scheduled me for Monday, February 26th, at 7:30 am, requiring me to reiterate all the services needed.Upon arrival at the dealership at the appointed time, I found the customer service experience to be lacking. No one greeted me as I parked, compelling me to enter the building in search of assistance. Inside, I encountered staff members who seemed indifferent to my presence, a situation that did not align with my expectations for customer service. Thankfully, Taryn Krueger, a sales advisor, offered the assistance I sought, efficiently processing my service request and setting a positive tone for the day.Later, I received a call from Damian Lavoy, who presented additional service recommendations for my vehicle. Agreeing to a transmission fluid service quoted at $203.26 (parts and labor included), I was taken aback at pickup by a significantly higher bill of $516.23. Upon inquiry, a review of the bill revealed a discrepancy where the transmission service was charged at $345.08, exceeding the initial quote. Despite the initial oversight, the staff addressed the issue amicably, refunding the overcharged amount.An additional point of contention was the lack of a complimentary car wash, a service I had anticipated. Although a minor detail, it highlighted an area for improvement in customer service practices, suggesting that consistent gestures of customer appreciation, such as car washes, could enhance the overall service experience.A notable attempt to gauge my service experience came from Abby at Dahl Honda, who informed me via text about an impending email survey. When the survey failed to arrive, and I inquired about it, Abby revealed that due to my preferences against email communications, I was ineligible to receive the survey. My request for a text link to the survey went unanswered, prompting me to share my experience through a Google review instead.Reflecting on my experience, it's clear that while Dahl Honda demonstrated a willingness to correct errors and address concerns, there remains significant room for improvement in communication, customer engagement, and service consistency. This review, born out of an unfulfilled opportunity to provide direct feedback through their survey, serves as a constructive critique aimed at fostering better customer relations and service excellence at Dahl Honda.Thank you for reading!

Top notch vehicle, even better experience!Working with Ben on the purchase of my new Passport was amazing! He listened to what I was looking for and helped put me in the perfect vehicle for my need - not too much and not too little. Because they didn t have exactly what I wanted on the lot, he found it, transferred it, and made the whole process incredibly easy! Fast forward 3 months and then 6 months, I have continued to call him for a question about my vehicle and he is happy to answer, continued service beyond the sale!This is the happiest I have ever been with a vehicle purchase, thanks to Ben!

A few years ago my husband was looking to possibly getting me a Dodge Challenger or a Dodge Charger . I have been a truck person all my life, but I told him that if I were to get a car, that is what I would want. Then almost 3 years ago he had a sudden heart attack and died in February. I believe he was looking at buying me that type of car for my birthday which was going to be an August. Well, two years later, Jennifer Leach, who happens to be my niece, sent me a picture of a Dodge Challenger and said, I think I found your dream car. It just came in. . I was shocked that she would even remember that! So of course I had to go look at it, and it was in my favorite color and everything was just perfect. She did not pressure me into buying this car at all, but she did remind me that that is what my husband wanted to get me for my birthday two years earlier. So she helped me through it and I bought the car from her at Dahl Honda. I have named it The Blue Angel because I honestly believe that my angel husband worked through Jennifer and helped me buy that car anyway! But Jennifer did not stop there. She made sure things were running well and checked up on me often. And when I blew a tire on the interstate not far from Dahl Honda, she gave me directions on what to do and she even gave me a ride home! Jennifer has excellent people skills and I m really surprised at how well she knows her stuff! I m very proud to have her as a niece and I am sure that Dahl Honda is very proud to have her on their team as well.

After working for weeks with Christian(Sales), On Saturday I showed up to the dealership with the Dealer Funding Request/Signed Purchase Agreement form. I also provided my cosigner s Driver s License, insurance policy and everything request of prior to the appointment. Upon arrival to the dealership, a gentlemen names Jake from Finance came with a folder and stated, my cosigner needs to be present to sign for the title and other documents because a wet signature is needed. He said there s an option for a 7 day turn around, however with my co-signer in another county at the time it wouldn t be possible. He then presented the only other option I had was to finance with HONDA only. I was shocked due to the force on demand of the request. I stated I would need a few moments and he again brought up financing with Honda would be easy and he could get me about the same rate offered through USAA. I again stated I would need a few minutes. I called USAA and they shared it is not required for my the co-signer to be present and they require only one applicant present to sign. I took the pone to Jake(finance guy) and had him talk with USAA to clarify. USAA tried to clarify and Jake abruptly again stated that s a Wisconsin Law both people on the loan have to be here to sign for the title. . USAA stated they have never heard of this again.Jake then again forcibly stating I could just run your credit and we would have a quick answer and then you wouldn t need your co-signer to sign. I at the point felt pushed to a corner and said okay just do it. He then ran it and stated he is finishing up with a customer and would be with me after. I went back to the lobby and waited and waited.Christian then shared it would take a while or the credit to come back. I shared I had other errands to complete and if it was okay if they can give me a call once completed. He said that s not a problem. I then called my last purchasing dealer and asked if the issue is with Honda or what the requirements were when pushing my rogue with my dad out of stated. Nissan shared no we then and/or title therefore, I would only need to be present to sign. I called Honda again and spoke with another sales gentlemen who stated will give the information to Christian. Christian called back and stated he would talk to his manger and get back to be. He called back and shared Jake stated they would now need a statement from USAA stating my co-signer did not need to be present or for me to sign the title. I shared again even though Wisconsin law is only one party needs to be present to sign the title since we did an OR not AND with the Nissan Rogue? He stated yes that would be the only option at this point. I asked if I can speak to the manager. He stated the manager is currently busy but would follow back up with me. Next thing I know its past 4 they closed and no one called me. So I called back and Christian shared nothing has changes and I would need the statement form USAA or loan with Honda. I stated nope I will take my business elsewhere. He shared yeah you go ahead and do what you have to do .They provided un-truthful and I believe discriminated because the reason provided was that it was a state law and then to find out it wasn t they still refused to service me although I had a loan approved and has all paperwork ready to go. Every other customer there that s was of white ethnicity was being serviced as I sat there and was not communicated with about anything. Then to top of all they still had my Nissan rogue. They are now stating they wont buy the vehicle and they wish to not do business with me at this time as if I did something wrong.

Purchased my last car from Dahl in 2015 from Kensey. This time around she connected me with Melissa from the client care team on getting a brand new Honda Civic reserved that was scheduled to be coming in.To my surprise the car came in a week early. My salesman, Jordan Swift, was in contact with me through email about purchasing the car. Jordan made the process very easy. He even sent me a few photos of the car before I came in to pick it up. Jordan was very helpful and answered all my questions. He also took the time to run over all the standard safety equipment on my new Civic and show me how it all worked.Jake helped me through the financing process which was a total breeze. Overall my buying experience was 5 stars once again at Dahl. Might just be a Dahl customer for life!

Our car broke down while on vacation and Dahl was able to squeeze us in on short notice to save the day. They were very kind and understanding and got our Honda back up and running quickly. I highly recommend their service team.

Worked with Ben Wilde starting in August of 2016 to try and get a Accord Sport Special Edition in with a manual. No other dealer in the state would guarantee me a manual Accord SE and there was not a single white one configured as I wanted nationally. In March of this year my car came in and I was able to pick it up with just 1.5 miles on it. Ben was great the entire time, and low pressure. Even on the day of pick up it was explained to me to try and make sure that is what I wanted since there was none within 250 miles of home to try. They did have a 2013 LX 6-MT on the lot I was able to try, but with the refresh it was worth it to try again and make sure it was 100% the car for me. It was, and I love it. Great experience end to end with Ben and the business office at Motorwerks. They even checked in and sent cookies in the mail a few week after pick up. 10 out of 10.

Everyone there is super friendly but they tried scamming me once for a new $5000 transmission when the only issue was a little piece of plastic preventing me from shifting. There prices are outrageous, $1600 for a new radiator is out of this world. So if you have money to spend you'll be fine, if you don't your screwed.

Everytime I have had to bring my car to Dahl Honda it's been a disappointment.First experience 0/10:Called to talk about my car and the computer system being fried, said they could get it in that morning if I got it towed there. My car sat in the lot for 2 weeks minimum without being looked at. Every time I called, never an answer. I had to call and find out what was happening. The whole time my car sat there and was being fixed was a waiting game. Come to pick up my car and was told I needed to make an appointment to get new breaks because mine were very bad. Couldn't tell me that while they had my car for over a month? So I went else where to get them done.2nd experience 0/10:Had a extended warranty letter come in the mail about Honda AC, my cars ac wasn't working so I decided to take it there and have them look at it and it ended up being the compressor and seal. Cool. They told me they would call me within the week when the parts came in to get my car in to get it fixed. Ironically no call from Honda. I have had the worst customer communication/customer service with this dealership. Couple weeks later I finally called and the parts were waiting... weird. So they make an appointment, my car goes in, and they have it done by the next day. Cool. 6/10 experience. Can't really complain until I get into my car and the air is max and it's blowing hot air. I called my friend and he said to get it up to driving speed and nothing. So I took it back. There is no way it blew cold air and they were okay with me just taking it? Come on. Who is working here that is that incompetent. So I pulled into the garage and went right up to the service counter where Taryn was standing. She was the one who helped me through out this whole time. She looked through the paperwork and guess what she missed the last piece where it said I need a hose that wasn't covered under the warranty. Cool. So now I'm going on vacation and I have to deal with this. Tells me the part will be in the next day and it will be done Monday. Wellll guess what! It wasn't. No call, no information. Nothing. I got a ride there with my kid, and had to be to work in 45 mins. To say I was done is an exaggeration. The only reason I was not fuming was because she offered to get me a loaner car.I will not come back for service on any future vehicles. I would rather drive to Rochester or eau Clare.

Just wanted to pass along what a pleasure it was to work with the Sales Consultant, Christian Montgomery yesterday. Bought a new vehicle with Christian after working with him a few days prior. Very courteous, engaging, and motivated individual. He'll make a great addition to the Dahl Auto Team for years to come.

Not a very good experience with this place got a suv and drove off the lot and a warning light came on they said they would fix it and after 4 attempts and no results and over a tank of gas to deal with going there over 4 times I had it and with any other car or suv I asked bout was not available and they said i could get my money back to check out other places and to find out one of the ones I liked was available and by calling one of the other dahl places test drove it said I wanted that one only to spend an intire day and some to deal with them to switch and figure it all out and very noticeable not happy with me and avoid I did finally get the other one but not happy after all they put me threw it was the worst experience and ruined the whole getting a mew car experience do not recommend this place even if it was the last place

Great experience working with Dahl Honda. I have utilized them since moving to La Crosse, WI about 3 years ago for all of my car service needs. Jordan, one of the sales representatives at Dahl Honda, picked me up from my apartment to get my 2015 Honda Civic LX that just got done being serviced (replaced battery). `During the drive, I causally asked Jordan about the trade-in car process as i had been considering it for months. Jordan didn't try to sell me on trading in a car with Honda, which i appreciate. Jordan just gave me a good overview of the process based on his expertise, and provided some really good and friendly advice to consider, especially give my price range and car needs. The caring and friendly conversation really helped solidify my decision to trade-in my car the very next day for a new 2019 Honda Civic EX sport sedan. Jordan answered all my questions thoroughly and made the process really easy. I absolutely love the car and loved my experience even more. Jordan has really set the bar high for my next car buying experience in the future!

i bought my Civic Sport from here with the help of Jordan Swift and had a great experience! it felt like everything was explained to me in a way i could understand, i didn't feel pressured to make any decisions, and all options were explained very honestly and transparently to me. the entire staff was incredibly friendly, and i truly felt like i was getting the best deal and treatment i could've gotten. it felt like the experience was in my hands, rather than having my decisions steered by the salesman. fantastic customer service.

My car has had 2 checkups here since we moved to the area. They have both gone well. My last one reported I had a bad battery,it had been replaced 31 months earlier. I had saved the paper work and they honored it and replaced my battery for free. Their services are reasonable priced.

This was my first time buying a car at Dahl, and I am very impressed with the service I received. I called ahead to confirm the car I was looking for was still available and when I arrived the sales associate, Jordan, greeted me at the main door, and the car I had called about was parked in front waiting for me to test drive. The process was streamlined yet still felt customized for my situation. I do live 2+ hours away, but I would not hesitate to go back for future vehicle purchases. I highly recommend Dahl Honda!

This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership. Jen Leach was fantastic. I told her exactly what I was looking for, my requirements . She was able to assist me the entire way. She made the process easy and efficient. She was kind and patient with us the entire time. I cannot recommend Jen and Dahl Honda enough!! Thank you for all your help, Jen! The vehicle is perfect!

Went in needing an oil change in my Honda Pilot after moving to town the week before. My wife saw a 2022 Pilot Black Edition sitting on the lot, and took a look at it. After coming back inside, I was greeted by Ben, who offered to show me the car in the most carefree way I ve ever experienced a car salesman do.Fast forward a few hours later, we traded our car in for that new Pilot. Ben stayed after hours to help us move our belongings from our old car to the new car (we were living in a hotel at the time so imagine just how much we had.)Ben is the epitome of how car sales should be. He is no-nonsense, no pressure, and tells you how it really is.I ve brought the car in for routine stuff and Ben has always been there with a smile on his face, going above and beyond.Thanks Ben, for an amazing car buying experience!

Upgraded to a Honda CR-V and couldn't be happier. The sales process was very quick. I believe just over 2 hours. My sales person was Jen Leach. She was wonderful! I look forward to my next purchase, which will probably be a couple years, but hopefully she will still be there when I do.

No idea what's going on at this dealer. Spoke to a salesman named Eugene about putting a deposit on an inbound vehicle since I just moved here from California. He required certain documents so I told him to email me and I'll send them over so I can put a deposit on a car. No email ever came. Called the dealer the next day and the lady that answered didn't transfer me to a salesman. She instead just relayed the info back/forth and I confirmed my email with her. Well... no email once again. I'm honestly thinking that I should've bought a car before I left California.

Dropped our truck off for an appointment at 9:00 am for maintenance service and repair air conditioning. At 11:00 got a call from service saying it wouldn t be done till 1:00. At 1:45pm we called to check on it..left message..no call back..texted a message no response. Called back at 2:30, they stated it would not be done for another 2 hours and service closes at 4:40. This is the worse customer service, obviously poor planning for appointments on their part, and poor communication with the customer.

Ben Wilde is by far the best, most responsive, most honest, and most dependable salesperson I can ever recall interacting with - in any field. Because Ben has always called me by name and remembered details about our past conversations, I used to think that somehow Ben was aware when his prior customers had appointments and studied up beforehand. Then, one day, I came in unannounced and got the exact same level of response and treatment from him without him batting an eye. He's just that good at what he does. Truly a pleasure to work with every time. A great salesperson, customer service provider, and all-around great guy. I would recommend him to anyone in the market for a new or used car.

Dahl Honda has been outstanding customer service for me. From Sales to Service Department. I have worked with Ben Wilde on 2 Honda Leases, lease to purchase and most recently a Honda Odyssey Purchase. He is reliable, meets us where we are at and communicates where things are at. There is no sales pitch, just honest open communication.When I have gone in for service as well, it's super easy to schedule, friendly customer service and no issues either waiting in the lobby or using the shuttle services.They have me SOLD to be a customer for life.

The worst automotive experience I have ever had. They had my car for an entire month. During that time, I had virtually no communication from them about the status of my car. Even when I was told they would get right back to me, I had to be the one to call them back.The first week, when they were not returning my calls, I went back to the dealership in person. The customer service representative was rude and did nothing to instill faith in me that my vehicle would be serviced at all.I understand that they were busy, but repeated "they will get to it tomorrow " type statements weren't helpful.When I was finally able to get my car back, it had no heat, so I immediately returned to the dealership. The mechanic was also rude and dismissive, "That has nothing to do with what we just did". That was true, but it was exactly what I had asked them to fix TWO YEARS AGO, but told me there was nothing wrong with my car at that time. Now, two weeks into this adventure, I was finally offered a loaner car after I had a meltdown. Two more weeks for that repair, and I finally have my car back.I will now be selling my beloved HondaFit (the 2nd one i bought, I because I like the model so much) because I refuse to deal with Dahl Honda again. It was clear that their policy was to not check for warranty coverage, and customer service is a very low priority.

The staff at Dahl Honda made buying a new (used) vehicle super easy! My salesperson, Jen was low-pressure (practically no-pressure) and hooked me up with test drives of the vehicles I was interested in, despite the fact that they were at a few different locations. Once I settled on a vehicle, she and the rest of the staff got to work and found me an interest rate much lower than I was expecting, given my not-so-perfect credit score. The vehicle I purchased was a recent trade and hadn't undergone a safety inspection yet, so Jen had them move the inspection time up to get me into the vehicle as soon as possible. Next time I need a new vehicle, I'm coming back to Dahl!10 out of 10! Would recommend!

I really believe Jordan did a awesome job and explaining details of the vehicle and a pleasure to do business with. 06/2023 I was recently there to get a oil change and asked for a call when ready , not did NO one call me back, but trying to speak with a live human took over 40 minutes. There lack of customer service has gone down, and I truly was beyond frustrated . Plus I only have 18,000 miles on my CRV, and they are trying to convince me I need new tires!!! Come on, mine are good after 40,000 miles. No rotation was asked just wanted more money. I may have to re- think about being lied too. And their poor service. Very disappointed!

My 72 year old mother purchased her second Honda, Jordan, her salesperson was not pushy and prompt to get her questions answered. They were more than fair with her trade in and offered any assistance in financing options, if needed. Picking up the car Jordan went over the options that were new to her making her comfortable as she drove off.Her previous Honda was 11 years old and she has had all her service work done at Dahl as well, she is very happy with all of her experiences with Dahl and Jordan Swift.
