Would NOT recommend. Took my Volkswagen here, telling them that there was an electrical issue, that on the same day the speedometer, odometer and reverse all stopped working. There were no other indications of transmission issues and the car would just kill as soon as you put it into reverse. A couple days later, they told me it was my transmission and it would be 10K to fix, then charged me $150 for their diagnosis . I took it to another mechanic and he found it was an electrical issue and a $100 fix.

Gesell's Automotive has been servicing our vehicles in our family for 20 years. Dependable, trustworthy and excellent service. Not to mention, this facility is also provides guidance on preventative service.

We go to Jim for all of our car needs. The team is absolutely fantastic and you couldn t meet better people. On multiple occasions I ve had them just call in to check how everything is going after doing work on our cars. We recommend Gisele s to everyone. Not only is the costumer service above and beyond anything I ve ever seen because they truly just care about people but the prices are very reasonable as well. They are worth every penny if not more.

My transmission blew and my car was gone for 4 months. They agreed to take on a project they couldn t handle. Took them 2 months to repair my car then gave a broken transmission so I had to take my car back again so they could fix their issue they caused. Took another 2 months. I was barely updated on the status of my car and would go a week without hearing from them unless I called first. They did not prioritize getting my car repaired after they gave it back to me broken. No communication at all. Loaner car ran worse than my car at times, check engine light on oil light on.

Did the timing chains on my parent's car, set the timing wrong and told them the sensor was too sensitive. They had the car for nearly 6 months...kept on making excusesThey liedThey lifted the car and started it without disabling the air suspension, which broke 2 sensors...they refuse to admit fault, I get stuff happens but own up to itUnder no circumstances would I recommend having anything done there as they will lie to your face and make up excuses.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment

Great guys here. In and out oil change with Amsoil with a full inspection too - perfect!January 2024 update - stopped in for an oil change is doing them at home in the garage is not too conducive this time of year. In-n-out, everything's golden!

Our experience with Brent of Gesell's Automotive Service was fantastic. We were on a long road trip from North Carolina to Wisconsin with a horse trailer in tow to pick up livestock when our truck started acting up. Called numerous places and kept getting the same answer "sorry, just can't fit you into our schedule". Called Brent of Gesell's and explained our predicament and that we really needed help. He said "sure, I'll help you". We showed up and he was able to competently and quickly diagnose the failed coil pack. He gave us (and our dog) a place to get out of the below freezing cold while the part was being delivered. We were back on the road in 2 hours and very thankful to have a happened upon Brent. He is a compassionate person and a competent auto technician and we really appreciate his help. Truck ran great and made it back to NC with the livestock in tow.Service: Engine repair

Definitely the most fair and honest place around! Jim has always been great to me and has the best prices around by far! As long as I can, I will be taking my vehicles to him and recommending everyone to switch to him. Even though he is a smaller shop, he always tries to help you and get you in one of his very busy loaner cars if he can.

Excellent service and good prices for quality work. Jim the owner always takes the time to give you a warm greeting!! He will also take the time to explain , if you need.You are treated like family here! Actually better than family! LolAll of the staff are equally helpful, friendly and do great work! If you have been looking for a great garage , this is it! I will not take my car anywhere else!

They are very good at what they do! They are honest, tell you what you really need repaired, what can wait, and what isn't really necessary. Their prices are the best around and they were very quick. I would HIGHLY recommend them! Also during Covid, they wore masks, took precautions and even sanitized my car! They are great!!

I checked this place out solely based on Google reviews. Fingers were crossed but it ended up being a win! Finding good reliable automotive service can be tricky sometimes.Jim and Melody were the nicest people ever. A very professional yet laid back vibe.Reasonable prices and they have free loaner cars(just pay for gas). I had no idea this was even an option in this day and age, very pleasant surprise.I just had preventative maintenance stuff done(coolant flush/fill and brake fluid changing, but I would definitely come back for more in-depth work when it arises.

If I could give more stars I would! Jim is great guy and is very flexible. He gets everything done for a fair price and in reasonably quick time too. Other convenience is loaner cars! I can't tell you how much money that has saved me alone. He is the only person I let touch my car!

They have free loaners if you schedule far enough in advance. We have been taking our vehicles here for years land their service has always been wonderful. A person I know came to Gesells after being told a repair at a dealer was going to be over 300 dollars. I was driving to Johnson Creek an got a flat tire right by the Exit thank God. I got off an asked at the gas station if anyone could change my tire. I was directed to He sells who was Right across the bridge. The guy was out to lunch. When he got back I asked for help an he helped me changed the tire in 10 minutes!! Only charged me $10.00 but I gave him $20. I was so grateful

The service at Gesell's is always very good. Recently, it was amazing. I had my engine replaced with a "new" engine that had 78K miles on it. After putting that engine in my car and finding a leak due to a dried seal, they pulled the engine and replaced the seal on their dime. Then after deliberation they pulled the engine a second time because of the POSSIBILITY that a different seal might leak months or a year down the road. They did this on their own time/dime. And then, one of their mechanics stayed till 8 p.m.on a Friday to make sure I had the car for an early-Saturday trip. I completely trust them to work on my cars and have for about 12 years.

Had a brake line blow out and they fixed it for a very reasonable price. Jim and Melody were very pleasant people to deal with! I would recommend them to anyone needing service on their vehicle.

My mother (who isn't very technically saavy) took her truck into Gesell's for repair after getting an incredibly high quote from a certified Chevy service dept/dealer. Jim was thorough and honest, fixing only what needed fixing, which was entirely different from the quote received from the dealer, in turn, saving my mother thousands on repair. Her truck is running great again without any issues, so we will be using Gesell's as our family repair shop going forward.

After the work on my car it was left out side with window down and doors unlocked. and rain was on the way. Open till 6:00pm? I don't think so. there at 5:15pm no one around. Glad I had a spare key to close my window and lock it. After that I would not trust there work. NEVER AGAIN!

I enjoy working with the folks from Gessells. I've not been good at maintaining my vehicle and they get it back in shape in no time. They are honest in their dealings with me and trustworthy in their assessments of problems.

I needed help with my car ,even though he said they were real busy and a man down Jim still took a look at my car and had his guy take it for a spin ,He confirmed what i thought it was the transmission . I asked Jim if i could leave my car at his place until i could find a way to get it back to Chicago He said no problem ..Its nice to know that there are still nice people out there in the world ..Me and my family thank you very much for helping us out

My car overheated in traffic on the highway and I managed to make it to Gesells. Cody checked my car out, made sure everything was good, and turned off my check engine light. Great service thanks again

I hit a bungy cord on 94 this morning on my way to work. The hook must have popped my tire. I limped over from the gas station where I called the shop from and at 730 in the morning I got my spare put on.I could not believe how nice he was.I would have never found this shop if I wasn't in a pinch. Glad I did.
