I brought in my 1990 Chevy Cavalier Wagon and it was having a mysterious issue that I couldn t figure out. Matt and the guys at L&M were a great help and really took their time to figure out the issue. They fixed it and got the car running better than ever and when I went to pick it up I was expecting a hefty payment. I cannot express enough how shocked and happy I was when I found out how reasonable their prices are here. 100 times more reasonable than other shops in the area & I won t name names but overall I was very satisfied with my service at L&M. Will be returning with any future automotive repairs.

The owner reached out to me in a time of need when everyone else was booking out for months ! Him and his staff were welcoming , pleasant , engaged in great conversation and fixed my door hinge in a timely fashion . The owner is well experienced and not looking to charge astronomical amounts of money . They are fair , honest and down to earth !I would recommendL&M auto to all of my friends and family . This place is 1/3 the price of others, and I know for a fact he s telling me the truth, unlike most shops that just want to take you for a ride and waste your money. I only go to him, my father only goes to him, my husband only goes to him, and you probably should too if you value your money & your car

I brought in a newer plow vehicle that was experiencing many issues. They worked extended hours for me to try use it for an upcoming storm. That alone is a compliment enough. If you have a car problem save yourself time and money and go to L&M Automotive...and yes Matt is family.If you are looking for fresh coffee and bottled water and a comfy couch to sit on, this is not the place for you.BUT, if you know automotives (of every description), and the hundreds of parts and components that can breakdown on them, you will realize within minutes that this man KNOWS cars, and is not afraid to get his hands greasy figuring out what is wrong with yours!Fair pricing. Good work. I highly recommend this business.

I had a great experience at L & M. They were quick, to the point, and the price was very reasonable for the repairs I had done.They were honest about the cost upfront and kept me updated throughout the repair process. Seriously try them out. I am new to the area and am hesitant to try new places but they are well worth the visit!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

My Check Engine Light was on and we had an idea as to why. I called very early this morning to see if they could diagnose and fix my car as soon as possible- I drive for work and need my car for daily travel. (can't be without a vehicle like most people) I was happy to hear that I could drop it off right away! I asked if someone could give me a ride back to my house, and the owner said, "Sure!" Mind you, it snowed a ton last night, but they obliged my every request. I called to check on my truck a couple hours later - only to be told the work it needed wasn't that extensive or better yet...not expensive! They recommended an oil change in the near future - that was all! Of course, I said to do it. The gentleman said he would even pick me back up to get my truck! My bill was less than I had even anticipated! Good conversation back at the shop was welcomed! I would highly recommend this shop for their quick turn-around, honesty and genuine care. I believe in supporting local businesses, and I'm happy to have tried this place when I really needed help - this coming from a woman who worked 18 years for a luxury auto dealer group and continues to work in the automotive industry. Thank you!

Easily the best shop in a 20 mile area. Matt was very helpful in diagnosing an issue on our family's vehicle. We were looking to make a trip up north and it woukdnt start. Had it towed to his shop and he took care of the rest all for a great price!Definitely recommend!

I needed an emissions component replaced and didn't want to do it myself. I took the truck to L&M and it turned out to be not just the part but also the wiring harness that needed to be replaced. In by 9 am out by 5 pm, same day and the cost was not much more than if I had done it myself (plus the labor). Thank you for the great service Matt.

Matt and his crew are experienced with all vehicles makes and models. It's not easy to find that kind of expertise. Bring your vehicle to L&M Automotive for repair or maintenance and you'll probably get a laugh while you're there as well. Matt has a great sense of humor. Prices are fair, too.

My wife bought a car from her sister that sat in the garage for years and needed many things fixed on it. Matt took the car in and got it up and running at a reasonable price. For a 2001 car it still runs great many months later. Great work at a reasonable price.

I took my Chevy Impala in to L&M recently for a steering pump problem. L&M changed the Steering pump, still heard the noise I brought it in for, and later figured out that the noise was coming from the Rack instead. They had to install about 3-4 pumps, over the course of the repair, but I wasn't charged for those because it didn't fix the problem.The overall repair took about 2 weeks, because it was very complex and confusing.However, the back and forth through the phone was very annoying. When calling in to check on the status of my car, I was always told to call back later, or call in an hour, or something like that. I'd prefer if they would just have the details ready and kept me updated on the car.Call earlier in the days when you want details. Other than the communication, I'm very happy with the service.

Brought my 2014 Dodge Charger to L&M because I was having some grinding noises coming from the front drivers side. As it turned out, the pads and rotors were shot, much to my surprise, for a newer vehicle. I called to make an appointment the previous day, brought my vehicle in before they opened and picked it up at lunch time. I received an amazing deal with amazing service. I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle into L&M again and I live in West Allis!!! Call and ask for Matt, he will treat you right!

I usually do my own repairs and maintenance, but sometimes things come up that I'm not equipped to deal with. As someone who lives in the area, I'm familiar with most of the garages around here, and this is the only one that I'll do business with. Matt is honest, skilled, and charges a reasonable rate - you can't go wrong.

They do quick, reasonably priced, quality work. The only reason I don't give 5 stars as they never call me, I always have to call them. "Is my car ready ?--Not yet, I'll give ya a holler when it's done " Then I call back 2 days later, "Oh yeah, we finished that 2 days ago" ?

I have been taking my Cars and trucks to L&M Automotive for over 15 years and if you are searching for an Honest and Knowledgeable repair shop, look no further! The work has always been right the first time and Matt has always been more then fair with the cost of repairs. I have lived in the Town of Mukwonago for going on 20 years and have referred countless friends, family, and all of my neighbors. Everyone one of them would agree! If you would prefer to sit in a fancy lounge with Wi-Fi, feel free to do so as you will not find that here. But your car or truck will be fixed here on your first visit, for a whole lot LESS!!If only everyone conducted their business in such a way!

Needed rear brakes. L&M gave me an estimate and I made an appointment quickly. They replaced brakes per the estimate which was almost half the cost of an estimate received elsewhere. Fast, friendly, and accurate estimate. Will go back again!

They do awesome work at a reasonable price. Matt showed me a product to stop rust in it's tracks, so that's the next project on my truck. Highly recommended!

Very good work and reasonably priced. They quickly diagnosed the problem and took care of it. They did a great job of explaining the repairs that I needed. Very friendly staff !! I highly recommend them for all your automotive repair needs.

I was able to get an oil change in on fairly short notice. The owner was friendly and didn't seem bothered by my 4 year old acting like a crazy person while we waited. 10/10 recommend!

Matt is our guy. He tries to help keep costs down on our fleet of older cars. He has always given us an honest assessment. Matt has been our car guy for over 19 years.

9:00 appointment this am, The tech was waiting in the lot for me and asked for the keys...I could have been outta there by 10:00 and on my way...talked a few minutes about the nostalgia covering the walls of the place. Worth the drive, honest as the day is long, quick, efficient, and most of all affordable !

Terrible customer service. Lousy craftsmanship. I was warned not to take my vehicle there. I wished I had listened. No refund for wrong part installation. No tow when stranded. Save your money and go elsewhere.

L&M Auto is my only auto shop. Regardless of my car problem, they fix it at a very reasonable rate (less than half of what a dealer would charge) and it's done right every time.

The owner is, in my opinion, a very shady man, in fact he was recently just sued by the Department of Revenue for 11,513 dollars! As well as other court cases in which he was sued (and lost)
