Honest fast and fair! Sid s is a great place to have your vehicle worked on. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that won t try and make you do things you might not need to do right away. If you live in the area definitely take your car here and if you don t live around here you should consider it!

Someone stole the wheel off my car (yes really- didn't even know this was a thing) and I had heard good things about Sid's from several friends and thought I'd give them a try. I'm satisfied with the service and price- THANK you. Chris is is an exceptionally kind service coordinator. Thanks for the good vibes through a stressful situation! Would definitely return to Sid's for service.

My truck needed work. I dropped it off and was quoted 550. I went to pick it up and they told me 750. I told him about my original quote. Then he said he'd re-crunch the numbers and said 650. Sure, that's fine. I asked, what happened to cause the increase in price?, he didn't have an answer. He "crunched" the numbers again and said 600. This guy was making up numbers right in front of me. Zero merit.Just wanted to see how much he could get out of me. I don't trust this place. Never went back.

Went to Sid s to get a car I recently purchased checked out. I knew it was a rough car, and just wanted to get some stuff squared away. Chris Z. who works here really helped me out. He told me straight up how the car was honestly too rough to repair anything and it would be unsafe to drive. It was nice to hear this info with no sugar coating and with honest regret to inform me how bad it was. Chris also was real kind and personable and stated he would be more than happy to help me find a car that was actually safe to drive in the future. It s always great to have honest, kind, and personable people who ease your worry and will actually provide useful help for the future. Highly recommend Sid s for anyone in BV and MKE looking for a local mechanic with great service!

I made the huge mistake of leaving my family, friends and home here in Bay View to buy north of here move my kids to the country after the death of their sweet uncle to the first batch of fentanyl laced heroin in 2006. You don t know what you ve got until it s goneAfter 17 years we are fleeing the grossly corrupt small town politics to get back home to Bay View with my tail between my legs. I needed help getting a trailer hitch assembly installed onto my van so I can rent a trailer immediately! Who can afford $1 a mile for a U-Haul truck on top of all the other fees?The quotes we got were all over the place so out of desperation I had the parts delivered directly and my boys and I spent hours trying to install it myself. Embarrassingly realizing Wisconsin s salty roads had messed up the pre-made holes in the frame and there was zero chance I could do this without much better tools and knowledge I started frantically calling around racing against the clock. It s not easy to get in somewhere fast with a botched job. I was so lucky to find Sids place on KK.Having known the family that built this place decades ago the location caught my eye. Im so glad I called them. Legit the best mechanic Ive dealt with in years!They treated me and the family I brought with me like we d known them for decades. Chris, the front desk guy grabbed the mechanic who was thoughtful enough to call me back so I wouldn t be stuck there waiting for him to have time after his current job. Not only did we have a great time once there chatting with all the staff, but they even started trouble shooting how to help our friend with a totally off topic issue. I noticed Chris knew every client that walked in that door by name AND treated them just as considerately.And Adam great handshake and did such a great job with this task! He made sure to explain things to me (not mansplaining either!)and charged a very fair price which I really appreciate because I talked enough about my life they could have seen a chance to up charge rather than use their own reasoning to underhand how broke I now actually am! I truly don t know what I would have done without these guys and will be back for sure!!When leaving I noticed a novelty item I had in my childhood in their office and Chris must have seen my jaw drop because he gave it to me!! He couldn t have known what this meant to me and why.There are few towns in this county with people like us, folks. Having true character and skill like these guys have is what has made this area so amazing. Im so glad I saw the review about Adam rushing to help rescue a toddler locked in someone s car and called these guys right away. Hopefully this review also opens the path for more people to find their way into this shop. They deserve your business!!!

Came in unexpectedly due break and my muffler decided to dangle while I was out driving. Service was excellent and was in a timely manner even if it was at a last minute notice. Couldn't recommend them enough for their honesty and assistance! Thank you!

2nd time I brought my vehicle to Sid's. Both experiencing have been great! They are knowledgeable, friendly, fast and all around good people. I had my ball bearings replaced, front alignment, oil change and AC check / fill up. My car is running good a new again :)I would recommend them to everyone!

$95 to put on ONE new tire. That's not including the tire, only to put it on the rim. That's more than the dealership pricing. Sid's said they were having trouble getting it on and were just glad they didn't break it. Brett's in wauwatosa charged half that price for the exact same service last time I had a flat on the same car. Ask for upfront pricing.

Can't say enough about Sid's auto repair!My dealer said I needed brakes right away amd gave me a price quote. The team at Sid's had 2 mechanics check my car and said brakes could wait a few oil changes. I was blown away with the service!

My headlight bulb went out last night, and the auto parts store was unable to change it for me. Three mechanics later, because they didn't have an opening, Sids was recommended, and they were awesome. Got the new bulb replaced in a few minutes, and didn't even charge me. Also noticed I had a low tire pressure light on, and filled those up for free as well. If this is how they treat new walk-in guests I definitely think I've found a new mechanic! Thanks so much!

We have been going to the same mechanic for over 15. When our vehicle recently broke down he wasn't available. I googled mechanics near m ed and saw this one, read reviews and saw he was in business for over 10 years. So we called him, he got us in fairly quickly. Fixed our vehicle sooner than expected. Very nice man. I think we will start going here for future repairs. Seems like someone we can really trust which is hard to find these days.

I took my car in for an alignment, they said they couldn t do it until I replace my control arm( which was a month old) 6 mos later. I bought the part and asked them if they could put them in, they called me and said it s not necessary right now to replace the control arm, however they suggested replacing a different sway bar link and bushing this time.(which was also just replaced!) so I told them to just do the alignment, since that is no longer a problem. When I picked up my car I immediately noticed my my wipers and blinkers no longer worked! I went back inside and with a smirk Sid told me he had nothing to do with it, and there was a problem with my blinkers blinking funny! Oh so he must have seen the blinker working, but now they do not! they do nothing! This happened while in his shop.

I'm torn, the employees at Sid's are friendly, knowledgeable, and get their work done promptly. In my case, they unfortunately did more work than I (explicitly) asked for, and charged me accordingly.After requesting a front end alignment, I paid double what I paid at a competitor's shop in the past. They also replaced parts without asking, which is frustrating because I already had purchased the the replacement parts to do the work myself...I even had the parts IN THE CAR!Again, the employees at Sid's seem like great people people who do quality work, but I can't help but come away from this experience with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. A little upfront disclosure would have gone a long way.Service: Steering & suspension repair

My Subaru was in need of an oil change, and this place was recommended by some neighbors as the place to go. I called and set up a time and they gave me a very fair quote and a surprisingly fast turnaround time. They did not disappoint, my car was ready before I knew it, and I wasn't charged a cent above the quoted price. I 100% recommend Sid's!

Been using Sid's for years. I want to point out it hasn't always been that way, they've earned the spot of being my go-to mechanic and early on weren't always my first choice. They've always been honest and fair-priced. I've never been upsold on repairs or parts I didn't need. They're also very timely - I've never had a surprise delay in picking up my car.

All the humans at Sid's are hands down some of the best people I have ever met. They are honest, they have integrity, they are no BS with what needs to be done vs what can wait, they don't try to squeeze every last penny out of you and are genuine. As a woman with a background as Diesel Mechanic for the Army I know about mechanics and often times find it to be entertaining when male mechanics try to pull a fast one or tell me something incorrect, the guys at Sid's have never done that and it is very refreshing. Definitely recommend them!!

The mechanic explains in detail, without me having to ask, exactly what is going on with my car and what my options are. I am never pressured to have work done that isn't necessary and I feel like I get an accurate assessment and very fair prices. Everyone there is friendly and easy to talk to.

Had my starter replaced at Sid's and they did a great job with fast, friendly service. There were no surprises, they were up front about parts and labor costs, and they provided me with an estimate for some exhaust work I need to have done so that I could budget ahead. I will definitely take all my auto repair work to them from now on.

I would highly recommend Sid's Auto Repair! They are knowledgeable and do quality work. Twice recently they saved me hundreds of dollars compared to the quote I received from Nissan. They fixed my passenger side mirror "Free of Charge", when Nissan was going to charge me $500 because Nissan doesn't fix they only replace. Thanks Sid's! Never going back to the dealer again!

I took my car into Sids after a dealer gave me an expensive, bizzare diagnosis. Sid and Chris found the actual problem, were very communicative about it and explained it well, and it only ended up costing me a fraction of what the dealership was going to charge me. Highly recommend, and thanks guys!

I had my truck towed to Sids. They looked at it for $25. Engine has seized and it was dead. But that's not what matters. I wanted to donate it to charity. They were SO patient with me. They let the truck sit on their tiny lot for 5 days till the charity tow got there. Then they held my receipt till I got there 10 days later (I totally forgot about it). They could not have been nicer. Sid's is a good old fashioned mechanic on the corner. I will take all my cars there.

The mechanics at Sid's are knowledgeable and honest. I have had my 1998 Civic repaired there several times and have always been very happy. I needed the latch on the hatchback repaired, and was told by others that the job was too difficult and not worth doing. But the mechanics at Sid's were able to fix it up at a reasonable cost. When they fix the car, they do only what is necessary and don't try to sell you other services. I would not go anywhere else.

These guys are amazing! Super nice and they saved me a lot of money. One mechanic told me it was my engine without troubleshooting or checking other issues. Sids did a full review and realized it wasn't my engine, saving me lots and lots of money. I was so appreciative. They are wonderful!

I had a bad experience here I brought my car in because it s having starting issues however they couldn t help me because they said they couldn t replicate the issue. Of course right when I leave and turn the car off I have issues starting it back up again. Now I m stuck in the same position with the same issue simply because they didn t know how to fix it without seeing it broken even though I informed them of when and how the issue is happening and they could ve replicated it themselves. They even recommended I leave it for a couple of days so that they could replicate the issue themselves however when I asked how to schedule that they denied that service as well. Overall a very confusing experience and they lost a paying customer.

I drivw an older vehicle and have had numerous repairs done by Sid's. They have always done good work quickly and at a reasonable price. And unlike many repair places, they have never pressured me to have more work done. Highly recommend.
