I ordered my own parts thinking that I might do most of my own repairs. When seeing what was involved with replacing the headlamp, I scheduled this as well as bumper cover and fender liner replacement to be done at Ruby Isle Auto repair center which was recommended to me by the parts company. The cost for replacing just the headlamp assembly as quoted online was $262.50. Since the bumper is removed in the headlamp replacement process I asked for them to also change out the lower bumper cover and fender liners and to do this work I was given a verbal quote at the shop for $400 for all the work: headlamp, both fender liners, and lower bumper cover R2 and I provided the shop with all the needed parts. This was scheduled to be done on a Thursday and I had a 9am appointment, when I arrived at 2pm to get my vehicle nothing had been done and I was told they no longer had enough time to even change thie light that day. My options were to leave the car with them overnight or to come back the next day for a re=do, which is what I did. On day 2, when I went to pick up my vehicle and pay, they had some other work that they did that supposedly was found during the investigation process. I highly doubt that what they are claiming they found/did was actually damaged/fixed, but since I did have an insurance claim I gave them the opportunity to have this paid for by my insurance. I paid my share of the bill ($397.50) I was not informed at check out that the agreed upon work was not fully completed and found out when I got home that they did not replace the lower bumper cover as agreed for this price and noticed they also did extra damage to the upper bumper cover/grill when they did their work. Supposedly they did a diagnostic of my vehicle and all 4 tires stated low pressure due to the cold weather and this was also not addressed. Finally, there were dirty hand/fingerprints all over my white front bumber and fenders because they did not take the time to wipe down the vehicle as should be done upon completion of work. I would give them less than a star for overall professionalism. I have since started to do the work that was not done and could have easily at this point done the entire operation myself and saved myself the time, money and hassle of working with this company. Highly not recommended.

Had a screw in my tire I called and they said they can help I drove there and they looked at the screw and they were able to patch it. Lady said it be like an hour. It was more like 30 min!!. I m so coming back in future for tire service!.Service: TiresService: Tires

For the most part I had a great and courteous experience they got me all the way together very affordable gave me a uber ride to pick my vehicle up when it was ready way better business than Velasquez Auto complete I really appreciate Ruby Isle Auto and will go back if need be I would recommend them over any other shop thank you!

horrible service I wouldn't recommend to anybody some of the employees are nice for sure that Jon guy takes forever on work he has had my truck for a period of six months and the problem still haven't gotten fixed and he charged me a nice decent amount of cash I had to take my truck to a dealership that is insane

I had first went to tires plus in Germantown because I had shaking of the steering wheel and a pull on the passenger side of my car and from the moment I had stepped into tires plus I was treated poorly. They quoted me $4,200 for unnecessary work that wouldn t have resolved the issue. I called up Ruby Isles for a second opinion and just from that phone call they had my business. They were kind, compassionate and understanding of my concerns and answered my questions honestly and fairly and just the customer service alone made me realize this is where I ll be going from here on out. after dropping my car off they inspected it and gave me a reasonable quote compared to tires plus and we went ahead with the repairs at a much much cheaper price and they resolved the problem without trying to take advantage of me or scam me. I can t possibly say enough good things about this shop and the experience I had.the mechanics and staff that work there are top tier from my experience. They 100% have my business when problems arise with my vehicle. This is a great place to go for great customer service and honest pricing and repairs. Also it s a family owned business and you can tell they take pride in what they do.

Never use this mechanic shop, they are an complete rip off an rude!!!! A complete scam, and will not give your money back!!!! They do horrible work, will over charge, and not complete the job!!!

Been here several times and the service is outstanding. The owner is always so helpful and honest. Makes you feel comfortable leaving your vehicle with someone you can trust and at descent cost.

We took our vehicle to Ruby Isle & asked for an alignment and AC check. Received a call stating AC repair would be 3k and we said we would not be able to address that issue for that cost at this time and asked them to just proceed with the alignment. . We received the call the next day that it was ready for pick up and went in to pay the bill-$89.95 of the total was for the alignment.. We were not informed that there were any lingering/steering issues by anybody when we made the payment and drove off the lot.However, during the drive home it was evident that the "pull" to the right had not improved AT all. My husband called and spoke with Marilyn (the person we had spoken with all along) and asked for a refund as it didn't seem as if an alignment had been performed and we were not alerted that there were still unresolved issues. We were denied a refund &when he asked why we wouldn't be made aware of these things she stated that they do not check the cars after alignments are performed. She stated that we could bring the vehicle back but based on her responses and considering we didn't have a positive experience the FIRST time around, we did not feel this would be the best option. We called back and asked for a manager and she stated she WAS the manager. Again she repeated that they do not check the cars before giving them back and the technicians didn't alert her of any issues.The lack of ownership and willingness to resolve the issue was very off putting. I went on to send a respectful email explaining that transparency and honesty would have been the best practice for us to return to this establishment and asked again for a refund and for a timely reply and never received either of these things. Their website states: As a family-owned business for over 30 years, we operate on two basic principals (SP): 1.We treat people how we want to be treated. 2.We do more than is expected of us. Unfortunately this was far from what our experience was. It was unfortunate that we had two people suggest this location to us. Will not be returning and will be sure to share our experience and direct them elsewhere for car care in the future.Services: Wheel alignment, Air conditioning

My car broke down and I had it towed to Ruby Isle because it was the closest place. Boy am I glad I did! They got me back on the road in just a couple hours. Everybody from the desk staff to the mechanic was kind and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Woman who works the front desk is so kind and professional with customers. She has been working there for decades and she really knows how to operate that shop. Went in for tire replacement and they handled me so well as a customer. It s a bit busy so you have to be patient they have many customers but others than that I will definitely be back for services in the future.

Ruby isle saved me 50% compared to what the first mechanic quoted me. I explained my issue to John and told him what I was told to be the issue by the other mechanic I saw and was informed that what I was initially told wouldn t be the source of my issues. I brought the car in and got it fixed within the same day and glad to say it had been running perfectly fine ever since!

I have been too this place 3 times in 2months each time my car has been kept there for 7days! FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I have dealt with this business in the past and had an ok experience. But this latest one has Been absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! My car had an appointment for work to be done on it last week. All for them to still not even have a quote on it today! Absolutely no communication at all. I ve been calling around the clock since last week and everyone except one lady has called me back. Each time that I have called I m being told someone will call me back and the owner is in a meeting. I ve been missing work and spending literally almost $100 a day to get to and from work all to STILL not have a quote, answers AND still no call back from anyone!!!!! I m absolutely disappointed and disgusted with how I m being treated!Service: Auto maintenance

EXTREMELY disappointed & dissatisfied with how my business has been handled here at Ruby Auto, I have been back & forth with this company for almost 4 years, from my Saturn Ion to my Ford Fusion & i have never had so dissatisfied with this beat around the bush stuff going on, i have had to come back more than once at different times, on top of my car being rushed, because of them being low on staff.. which was taken into accountability so I can back 2 weeks later, which then i was pushed away constantly being told there was no problems with my tire or car and now I have 3 things that they didn t see before , I was told I would get a quote the next morning, NOTHING. so I called Monday morning and spoke to someone who I thought i could trust that worked there & was told the same thing, ill get a quote for you & give you a call back. that was at almost 11/12pm, that s almost 5 1/2 hours until they close. they sent me away knowing my car is legit about to break down, the note stated will break soon & still NOTHING yet again. so as of Monday September 19, 2022 I will not longer be going to Ruby Auto as my mechanic. highly upset.

First and foremost between working with them and max care was a nightmare. It was a run around with both companies. They tried getting me to add services which would have sky rocketed my bill. Then the day when I went to pick it up, I made it there at 5:40pm. They close. At 6pm. Yet, there was one person left whom initially didn t even want to talk to me although he saw be there and then closed up the shop and told me he didn t know how to work everything. Wouldn t let me pay for my vehicle and leave. Wouldn t let me get my keys or anything. I had to take an Uber there and back so that was $70+ dollars spent because of the person there didn t want to help me and cause they left before their actual close time. They were VERY unprofessional and even held my car for more so over a week without even contacting me that it was finished. They re lucky I didn t come with my spare key yesterday when I was denied getting my vehicle or else I definitely would ve just left in it. After things were initially going wrong with the shop when it took them weeks to even begin working on my car is when I should ve took it to a different more honest repair shop. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.Service: Electrical repair

I called 10-5 at 3:35pm to make an appointment for emissions waiver Mckayla scheduled me for 8:00 am 10-7. I arrived on time and was told they do not do that anymore. After I left I called back to complain and was told Mckayla hasn't been there for a month.. so how did I talk to her 2 days previous? Regardless of their dishonesty the very least they could have done was call me to cancel the appointment. Had to give 1 star in order to post this but they deserve none HORRIBLE SERVICEService: Auto emissions testing

I've been a customer of Rudy isle for over 6 years now and they have never stopped treating me like family. They always remember who I am, what's happening in my life and accommodate me with the best of their abilities. Any time there is something wrong with my car they explain everything in detail, give me options and never force me into a situation I don't need to be in. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your services here if you want you car to be handled with care.Thank you ruby isle for taking care of my Chevy for over 6 years.Oh also, the staff is amazing and I couldn't ask for a better team to interact with.

I took my car there for a warrantied air conditioning repair and to fix a headrest that won't lock in an upright position. They were supposed to assess the problem the morning that they received my vehicle, contact the warranty company, get authorization to do the repair and then call me back for permission to begin work. I had to call them, numerous times, to find out what was happening with my vehicle after they failed to meet the two to three hour window they told me was required. By the time I got any answers they were preparing to close for the day so I wound up going without a vehicle for the night. The next day, they were supposed to call by 9:00 a.m. and did not. I called them at 11:00 and they claimed that the warranty company still had not authorized the repair. With a holiday weekend approaching, I retrieved my vehicle and told them to call me when the work was authorized and we would schedule a time for me to return my car so they could repair it. Several days went by and I heard nothing. I called them and they told me they were still waiting on authorization from the warranty company. After a week, I called the warranty company myself. They told me that Ruby Isle never contacted them or requested permission to begin the work. I called Ruby Isle back and asked them if they had contacted the warranty company and if they had taken any action whatsoever to get authorization to do my repair. I was told that it representative would call me back later in the day, after they researched what had happened. It has been 2 days and they still have not called back.Clearly they don't need my business, nor care about it. They probably won't care about yours either.I have never once in my life seen a business so careless about their customers.Service: Air conditioning

I didn't take the time to ask the gentleman's name that was in charge of Emission Testing, which I regret. He was an older gentlemen, very very very polite and respectful. Even though he was busy and not inclined to do so, after testing was completed he brighten up my day simply by inspiring me with words of wisdom. He reminded me to not forget to encourage and inspire others daily because it goes a long way. I don't have much but more than I deserve, the least I could do was to say a genuine "thank you" and by writing this small review to show my appreciation.I wish you the best on your journey on whichever road you choose. I do not know you personally, but one thing we both could agree on is that life is not an easy road. It's the good memories and small things in life that we take for granted that makes an everlasting ripple effect.

I am very happy with their work ,returning my car clean,informing me of what needs to be done and how much.They also are very good at alternative options to remedy your cars issues.John and Kathy , along with the rest of the staff, are very professional and will always put. You the customer first.If you are like me , when you find something that works you stick with it.I have bought several cars from Ruby Isle where they receive their general maintenance and keep on ticking. Friends and family also have had cars repaired and keep coming back. I got a puncture in my car on the drive to work this morning. I left work at 2 to get it patched, they found the nail that popped the tire went through the sidewall, picked up a new set of tires, and mounted them all before closing. The whole while they were helpful and kind and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Went here to get the ball bearing issue fixed with m car. I was given a $$$ pricey estimate and was told that it was the best price for that job. They told me that they were using premium parts and they would not be able to give me any better price. They offered slightly lower price but for cheaper parts. I countered that I was getting a better deal at the dealership which would guarantee genuine parts. Moments later they reduced the price and that too with the "premium" parts.It made me uncomfortable and wanted to leave. They asked me to pay $75 just for taking the car in the so I had to go ahead for them to fix it. A few minutes later the manager came and said that the sensor will need to be changed since it is old and that will be extra $$. I argued why they didn't tell me beforehand in their estimate but to no avail.They gave me an estimate of 2 hours but two hours later they said it will take another 2 -3 hours since the new part, ball bearing, they put was defective and they are putting another one.During this wait period there were a few customers and I made a peculiar observation. To every client that walked in the door to get their car looked at they mentioned the same sensor, and told them that the sensor could be damaged and they will have to replace it, which will be at an extra cost. This was really funky and suspicious.In all it took 5 hours just to replace the ball bearing.I'm never going there. Please be advised and be careful!

Fantastic! Got me in same day, had an estimate for the work needed within hours. Worked directly with my warranty group. Even though they needed to order in parts they STILL had my vehicle done same day. Friendly team. Will definitely be back.
