I purchased a vehicle from an owner who had car serviced there for a timing belt job done in January (mileage 130K). Im now at an audi dealership because of an oil leak. Well to the surprise, the timing belt job was done incorrectly. One of the belts wasnt changed; and the one that was, soaked in oil because the caps weren't changed. So now i have the ENTIRE job done over again and of course, no one is answering the phone when i call. Oh i forgot to mention, im only sitting at 134,750 miles as i type. Thats right, 4k miles. Lets see how this can be rectified. I have pics of my oil ridden timing belt and service record in January.Riddle: if you completed a timing belt with a new kit, how is there still a cap on the cam from 2003?

Jake is EXCELLENT to work with. The nicest and most positive mechanic I ve ever met. I brought my 2014 Volkswagen Jetta SE and he helped clear an airbag light that I set off when installing my new Kenwood stereo system. Other mechanics didn t want to deal with it and pointed me to the Volkswagen dealer. Jake helped me in an appointment that lasted ten minutes total. I had to talk him into accepting any money from me. What a great guy! I will definitely back for routine maintenance. Everyone in Milwaukee should come here for their vehicle services! Thank you Jake!!

Between my husband and I, we have had about 5 different cars serviced by Jake over the years including our current well loved pair of Jetta's :). As any VW owner knows, they can be tricky at times (but we love them all the same!!!). Jake's knowledge, honesty and superb workmanship has kept us as loyal customers and will for years to come. Completely professional and honest. If you own a VW / Audi and do not Jake...you are lacking one of most knowledgeable and technical professionals in the business. I brought my VW, after a repair-gone-bad from another shop, to Jake. Jake not only got it running and driving in a matter of two days.. after I gave him a few boxes of parts and rolling chassis with half an engine. Since then, I ve never looked back! Do your German engineered machine a favor, and go see Jake- he ain t no joke!

We've take all of our VW's and Audi's to Jake for many years. I couldn't say enough positive things about him. He does great work, he's honest, provides great advice, and the prices are reasonable. We are lucky to have him in our community. Take your car to him, you won't be sorry. Highly recommended!!

Jake is AMAZING!!! He is the only person I will trust to work on my VW Jetta. He is extremely honest and knows everything about VW s. He is also very quick to respond and get your car into the shop.

After being told that my car might be seriously messed up and the shops I initially tried were booked out a week or more before they could even look at my car, Jake was able to do the work same day and it wasn't even close to what the other estimates were for cost or what actually needed to be done.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jake is such a great guy. Has such a large knowledge base of every VW: Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, and Mk4. I trust him with my Mk3 vr6 all the time. Super fair prices and you get outstanding service and quality. If you have early model Volkswagens or Audi's, Jake is you guy.

This review should have happened years ago but better late then never. I used to live in the area and had the pleasure of this shop being right down the road from me whenever I needed my VW fixed. Very simply...Jake was the most honest and knowledgably mechanic I have ever worked with. I now live in Brookfield and have been forced to take my vehicle to Hall VW and Boucher VW. Hall VW tried to con me into paying for 1200 worth of repair after the mechanic working my vehicle broke by speed sensor assembly. They eventually admitted the mistake and paid for it. I move shops after that experience to Boucher and yesterday had the same issue. Routine service (oil change and transmission flush) gave me keys back and the EPC light and check engine light was on. They tried to con me out of 500 dollars in repair for codes that did not exist when I brought it in that morning. Turns out the mechanic didn't reattach my mass air flow sensor back which cause the codes to fire. NEVER AGAIN will trust anyone but this place to work on my VW's! I'll be back for sure and in my opinion the drive down and wait list is well worth the satisfaction that my car and myself will treated with respect!

My wife and I won't bring our VWs anywhere but here. Jake is an honest, trustworthy and meticulite mechanic. He won't sell you on things you don't need and communicates well and keeps you updated throughout the process from start to finish.

Had an alternator go bad in my vw Jetta. Called around to a number of places and all of them were giving me outrageous estimates. Then I contacted Jake and he was the only one that was straight forward in giving me a fair estimate. Took the car in the next morning and it was done by the afternoon, despite the fact that an alternator replacement in a Jetta is a pretty time consuming job. If you have a VW in Milwaukee that needs some work I would highly recommend this shop.

I've taken my cars to Riverwest Auto for years, starting when I received a recommendation from a close friend who is a mechanic by hobby. Jake is incredibly efficient and thorough, and even friendly. I wouldn't take my VW anywhere else, and I don't think you should either.

He really is the best, quickest, cheapest & hardest to get an appointment with for normal VW repair work. Sometimes he won't be available for several weeks.He is a one man shop and he is the king of that castle. You can take your car elsewhere and get in and out same day but if you want to know the work was done by the best VW guy in town, Jake is the guy.

I've been meaning to post for years actually. It still bothers me. Five years ago I took my bus in. It had been running rough and losing power. My engine had been rebuilt 10 years previously before this. Every mechanic has told me after the rebuild that my engine was one of the most solid and best rebuilds they've seen. So when this guy said I needed a rebuild, I knew he trying to swindle me. I was a young female so i'm pretty use to this with mechanics. I sold the car to an enthusiast who wanted to convert it to a full on camper. He towed it. He then contacted me to let me know the problem. It was 100 dollar part. If it's the same mechanic from 5 years ago be careful. I had to sell it for thousands less than it was worthP.s. notice the condescending responses this douche has to people. The guy was very nice while he was either trying to rip me off and/or doesn't know what he's doing. Yes yes 100% this shop

A Volkswagen only shop. If you have a VW in milwaukee and dont bring your car here, you are missing out on a knowledgeable, respectful, and kind mechanic experience. I won't bring my car anywhere else unless its for tires or maybe a simple brake job.

I begrudgingly give 2 stars because owner is super nice, honest and I'd love to support a local shop, but this just isn't up to snuff. Brought my Mini in for brake job and AC not working. He replaced brakes but couldn't figure out how to reset the brake light.After a week of wrong parts coming in for the leaking AC he said I should go to the dealer to have it fixed. I brought it back to my normal mechanic who is farther away and they had it fixed no problem. I guess if you have a Mini in MKE go to Kummrow. They're pretty much the only Mini shop I trust in town.

I didn't even meet Jake face to face, (Thanks COVID.) yet I felt he was honest and very efficient. Priced parts within reason and was quick, communicated often. 10/10 would go again.

Fell for the good reviews. Called to schedule an apointment. They texted me back, and I asked if Friday worked, was told yes. Friday comes and at 1pm tell them I'm bringing it in. I am then told no my appointment was in the morning they dont have any thing till two weeks later. I then say no time was specified. Ok i understand this is a bit of a mistake on both ends. But if I say Friday ok, and you say yes most people will assume till you close on Friday. Then I text back ok, what time in two weeks? Never got a response back. Very unprofessional!
