I have a new vehicle so haven't had reason to go lately (They might remember my custom painted Blue and White Honda) but Ark and Anna run the absolute best auto shop in the city. No one else is even close. Though I haven't needed their services in a while, I've probably recommended 5 or 6 people a year to them. They're the best and most importantly great people on top of it!

lindems auto is the best place to get your car fixed in town. They are very fair. And always do a great job on my car. I ve been seeing them for years. I would definitely do business with lindems auto again and will refer them to friends and family. Thanks lindems!

On top of being very hardworking Ark and his mechanics on staff are very honest and committed to their work. My '92 Volvo 240 wagon gets the love it needs when I cannot attend to repairs myself. Lindems Auto was recommended to me by a good friend. The work they do is top notch and very affordable.Anna was able to drop me off on a few occasions I was having work done. I am grateful to have a repair facility that I trust and that they are kind people I feel lucky to have been recommended by friends.Thanks for keeping my roadworthy, Ark & Anna!(attached photo is not my car, but attached because they are great with Volvos)

Anna and Ark are hands down the best. My catalytic converter was stolen, and I made the call the Lindems. Ark was immediately helpful explaining what they would need from me and insurance, and I was able to get it towed in the same day. Both Ark and Anna were extremely helpful and prompt getting me info and working with my insurance, and I was able to get my car back in less than a week. Not to mention my vehicle was washed and cleaned inside - just incredible. Lindems is absolutely worth the trip - I won t trust my car to anyone else.Service: Exhaust

These people are truly angels. I brought my car in upon the recommendation from 2 friends of mine for something I worried would cost me over $1,000.00 as estimated by some other mechanic. They fixed it for the very low price of $150 and washed and vacuumed my car on top of it! At the end they asked are you happy? and I really was, cause I felt so relieved to have my car back and without breaking the bank. I definitely recommend their services! , !

Best and most reliable service! Ark (the owner) knows his stuff and will never take advantage of anyone, especially women! Just ask for his wife Anna if you have questions. Lindems is always honest and won't fix things just because. They tell you what you need, they do the work, and get you out the door. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I recently bought a used Sienna and was having issues with the battery. At Lindems, Ark and his staff went above and beyond to give me peace of mind that my van is in great working order. They are professional, friendly, and trustworthy. I highly recommend them!!

Wonderful service.We noticed while out in Delafield over the 4th of July weekend that our car was having trouble picking up speed. The engine would rev and the RPMs would go way up, but acceleration was minimal. Eventually, we felt unsafe driving it on the freeway and pulled off. We had to call a tow, but no shops were open due to it being night time and of course it being the Saturday night of a long holiday weekend.Our towing company (shout out to Jay s Towing as well), took the car to Lindem s and left it out front. I was kind of worried about this since the shop wouldn t be open again until Tuesday the 5th and they would likely have no idea why the car was sitting there. But fortunately, after two+ anxiety-riddled days, I called them that morning and they informed they already had an idea of what the issue was and would be able to take a look that day.By the end of the day, they had fixed the issue and called us in to pick it up. They did warn that the issue may have been more extensive, and suggested we come back the following week for a quick check.Upon going back the next week, they took a look, determined that the problem was indeed solved, and declined to even have us pay them for the follow-up visit.The two people we communicated with primarily were the owners, and both were not only efficient and fast with servicing our vehicle, but also kind and reassuring throughout the process.We highly recommend this shop.Service: Transmission repair

I went to Lindems Auto for a tire patch repair for my flat tire and I was blown away by the service I was given! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the patch took 5 minutes tops! They gave me a great price for the patch as well. I was dropped off by a friend at Lindems Auto and was just going to take the bus home and instead they gave me a ride home AND installed the tire back onto the car for me. Definitely will return back here for any future car issues I run into! Highly suggest!!!Service: Tires

We brought our truck to get some body work done. Instead of putting a new part, they fixed existing one, some spots of damaged body they had ignored. I couldn t take my truck on the road on time because it wasn t ready by the day they promised to me it will be done! I paid for hotel for me and my co-driver extra 3 days which I didn t count on at all! When I ve simply asked about three days delay and hotel related expenses for me and co-worker ($200) Ark (owner) started shout at me! He pointed he s not making enough money on my car. And he doesn t care about the delay and my expenses. Even he knew this is a commercial truck my company pays for $190 daily cost.I ve also been told to get out and never come back. I left this place with screwed feelings as a customer who not only spent $1800 for my car but also tons of my nerves and ruined faith in American customer service.I wish You won t be next. Highly not recommended.

Been going to Lindem's for years now. They always do superb and honest work whether it was my old barely running clunker of a car or my newer car that needs regular maintenance and upkeep and they ALWAYS ask me before they touch anything not discussed. They always seem to fit me into their schedule at my convenience even when it is a last minute tire patch before a road trip. The only mechanic I trust in the Milwaukee area.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

We've been using their services for about 8 years now & they are the best! Great mom n pop! They know cars like the back of their hands, charge fairly, & tell you what you need & what is extra or your can do over time. They have little waiting room as well. Highly recommend!

We've been to Lindems several times in the last 6 months and we're very happy with their service. My husband and I both have older cars and we hate spending a ton of money on repairs. Repairs are done well and the cost is very reasonable. Super nice people too. So good having a place we can rely on when we need an auto repair.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. Ark is an honest mechanic you can trust. I brought my car in when I got it for them to check over and they said everything was great (when others may have seen a money making opportunity). I had a few lights replaced and a tired and the price was more than fair.This year I brought my car in because, after going to the dealership for an oil change and new key they gave me a list of things that needed fixing. So I took my car to Ark- and he didn't even want to know what they had suggested because he didn't want to rip me off. It's super appreciated since he suggested only the sway bar links need replacing.I definitely trust Ark and Lindem's auto. And it's a big deal for a girl in Milwaukee to find a trustworthy mechanic.

As a young woman with very little car knowledge, I try to avoid going to the mechanic alone, but my car broke down on Capitol and I am very thankful I found this place.Ark not only told me what was wrong but took the time to show me the problems with my car even though they were very busy. He did not try to upsell me on anything and their prices were incredibly reasonable. His wife Ana was kind and courteous to me, and they even lent me a loaner car even though I spent very little money.This is the only place in Milwaukee I will go now if my car has problems. Thank you!

I ve been going to Lindems for the past 6-8 years and I wouldn t take my Volkswagen Jetta anywhere else. They have very qualified mechanics for all types of vehicles and are always welcoming and professional. Ark the owner is always a delight and will always be honest and straightforward with whatever is going on with your vehicle.

When I first moved to Milwaukee I did all my repairs on my own. I did not trust a soul to do my repairs. I was recommended by two of my friends here. It was a good sign to see a 60's era Volvo Amazon in the shop (as all I drive a vintage 200 series Volvos). The prices are reasonable and the work is honest and highly satisfactory. I have always been impressed with the quality work I have had experiences at Lindems Auto Repir and I am happy to know mechanics that I can trust (for the 1st time in decades).

This is a family operated business and my "go to" place for trustworthy and fair priced auto repair. I have found the management at Lindems to be honest in every regard. There are always opportunities for a repair shop to pad the bill . . . not at this place. They will give you a realistic assessment about your repair request. They even discourage repairs if they feel your vehicle no longer warrants the investment. That's honesty!

My experience at Lindem's was nothing shy of amazing! I dropped my car off at 11 a.m. and was back by 1 p.m. the same day to pick it up. They were inexpensive, yet thorough. I would take my car back here in a heartbeat. Ark was the nicest guy and excellent to work with!

I have found Lindems to be honest, fast and very reasonable. I can always count on him to tell me the truth and find the most efficient, safe and economical solutions to my car problems. I drive a Prius. Highly recommend.

The woman who worked the desk was very rude and attempted to charge me $20 more than what the mechanic had communicated to me (and the total that was on the paper I signed when dropping my car off). It wasn t the petty $20 that upset me, but rather the general disrespect and strange attempt at conning me out of $20.....Also, pretty sure the mechanic messed up the lock on my drivers side door. 0/5 would NOT recommend.

Left car for a thermostat replacement with an indefinite wait period, nothing more discussed. They called 4 days later telling me they had to also replace the catalytic converter and water pump, but they were giving me a great deal at $1600. Whether or not I saved a couple hundred dollars on what those repairs would normally cost, it's no amazing deal when you left thinking your bill would be $200 to $300. No shop I have been to would ever make repairs on something without informing you first, especially when you specified what you wanted done.Owner is belligerent as well when confronted on his shady practices. Had to hang up the phone to avoid being cursed at any longer. Currently seeking legal counsel on the issue and have already been told what they did was completely illegal. I see several people had great experiences there (assuming they're all authentic customers, not friends of the shop or burner accounts by owner)...I also see several having experiences similar to my own. I'd suggest trying any other shop, unless you want to gamble which experience they want to give you that day.

950$ for replace a bearing. 40$ grease for that bearing... How about that?It is a saying: you don't have to trust a Russian even when he tell you the truth!No more to say!

My family has been loyal Lindem's customers for nearly a decade. Ark and Anna are straight shooters, know their cars, and treat customers fairly. I can always count on them to give me the best price and options for repair and they stand by their work. Over the course of 5 years they have helped me replace my entire suspension of my 20 year old BMW. Whereas other shops and dealers would have insisted that I replace everything at once, we've been working on an as needed basis allowing me to keep within budget and not pay to replace perfectly good parts.I trusted them enough to buy my new"er" BMW from them because they would stand behind the car. They have been great with it as well.The negative reviews I've seen are mostly emissions checking related which in my experience tends to bring the worst out in people. (Annoyance of govt interference, penalties, late charges, unexpected repairs, or long overdue repairs - all above and beyond the usual issues of getting your car serviced or repaired). I've heard many exasperated emissions customers annoyed that Lindems wont bend the rules for their "P.o.S." car that's belching exhaust and the muffler is dragging on the ground.Lindems is fair, ethical, and responsible. Their only quirk, is that rarely call you back. Just call them back

We left our truck there for several months so we we're charged for storage and 11 hours of labor totaling $1000The 11 hours of labor was for moving the truck in & out of the garage as well as driving it on and off the street.We had repair work done which totalled $1800 so a test drive had been doneWhen we were less than a mile from the shop when our truck started to SMELL and SMOKE! Our breaks were on fire! We should have been told about this immediately especially since they had the truck almost 5 months and driven it a total of 11 hours.We were put in unnecessary danger. It was reckless not to provide me with the damage to the breaks.

This is my second review for Lindems. Went there to have them help me with a leaking headliner on my Subaru Outback. My Subaru sevice department was not helpful at all and wanted to charge me hundreds just to figure out the issue. Lindems took care of it in just a few hrs. and for less cost than what Subaru charged just to tell me they can't fix it. I will NEVER return to Subaru dealer for my car. Lindem is my new love!!!!
