Came in day-of for a muffler repair. They gave me an honest assessment of the issue and issued a quote quickly. I thought the price was competitive with others provided while I was searching. They had a new muffler on my car in about an hour, half an hour less than quoted! They gave some additional insight into some future repairs that may be needed and how severe they are. Thanks Guys! You have a great team over there!

First time I went to John the Muffler Man, I did because the Goodyear Tire & Service was book solid for a couple of weeks.The exhaust system had a large hole right under the driver and was making a terrible noise.I went to John the Muffler Man and I was expecting a $300+ bill. Mike and the team told me they could get fixed with a simple weld. It ended up being $60. Really, that cheap? What is the catch? There was no catch. Mike told me that the rest of the exhaust system could fall apart but they would stand behind their weld job.Since then, I had other services done. More recently the car was making a strange noise in the driver side. I took it to Mike and the guys again and they were honest in describing the issue. Front coil spring was cracked, struts and shocks were done (I have a 2013 JX35). Parts and labor were very reasonable and they give you their honest opinion on what could be done, vs what needs to be done. Very happy with the service done in Sep 2023.Fast forward Feb 2024, the car was making strange noises again. The type of noises that you know that there is something wrong. Took it to Mike and the team again and when I went to pick it up, there was no charge. Once again, Mike told me what the problem was and since it was a simple fix, they did not charge me a dime.It continues to amaze me that this shop is motivated by doing things right vs charging the most money possible.Who would have thought that honesty and professionalism is the best marketing you can do. Word of mouth spreads fast and these guys are the real deal.One last thing: when should you take your car there? As soon as your car is out of factory warranty. I would not hesitate to give Mike and his team any work related to my car going forward.Keep up the good work!

Updated, as I visited the Muffler Man again recently... I had taken a strut assembly to Midas since they were open on a Saturday. They did assemble the strut, but didnt remove the tie rod and control arm ball joints that were seized in there.So i went looking for another place that might be open still to work that out since I have no air compressor anymore, and usually not much luck with torching. Happened to be in the JMM neighborhood and stopped through to find the building being painted as it was after hours on a holiday weekend.My project would have been on hold for 3 days until everything was open again had they not hooked me up on the spot. I had a clear knuckle in like 10-15 minutes, and was able to finish cleaning it up for reinstall the next day!!Go here, you wont regret it.

My heat shield was loose and, although that gave them an opportunity to charge me whatever they thought would be reasonable, they didn't ask for a dime. I appreciate Mike and the guys for their honesty and professionalism.

Called to see if I could bring my car to have it checked out. The guy seemed very hesitant to offer an appointment time saying it depends on when we can get to it . ???? Okay? So when is that? Normally people just tell you what their earliest appointment time is. I m not bringing my business to a place who doesn t want it.

Very price is definitely good work but they OVERCHARGE. I don t know if the parts are overcharged or they re just over charging people but I wouldn t recommend.

Took my car here a couple times for repairs. They were upfront and charged a fair price. When my heat shield rusted through and was dragging, they fixed it and didn t even charge me! I was in town for a job from 3 hrs away. Was planning to get back home. After many failed attempts at other repair shops around I found and called up John the muffler man. I told them my situation and hoping to get on the road asap. They were very nice and polite. They got my car into the shop on a timely manner and found the problem then ordered the parts. My time there was great, they made me feel welcome and not totally uncomfortable. I definitely recommend these guys. Life saver for sure!!! Car is back and running great! - Lee Chang

If there was a negative 5 i would give them that! This is a terrible shop! I was referred here when Iived in Colorado and I have visited this shop twice ever in life. The first time i took it in was in mid-2022 because my check engine light was on. They did a free diagnostic for me and my repairs were barely 400.00. Not too bad at the time and a was well. But about 7 to 8 months later my check engine light came on AGAIN! So i took my car in to be looked at and diagnosed before moving back to Colorado in April. The second time my car was taken into this shope was on February 27th 2023 and I told that I also needed brake pads and rotors, cabin air filter, control arm repairs because of milwaukee's potholes, a blower motor resistor because one of the temperaturs setting on my heat/ac wasnt working, amd evaporator canister purge valve/solenoid all remove and replaced. I also decided to get an oil change and fluids topped off while at it because why not! I paid this shop almost 1300.00 only for just a few months later to have my check engine light come on AGAIN, my breaks are squeaking AGAIN, my heat/ac doesn't work at all now and now the coolant that was used was not for my type of car and it was concentrated! And not even mixed which has totally crapped out my engine and now i need a new one! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY BIG OR SUBSTANTIAL REPAIRS! they basically bandaid-ed my car and didn't due thier due diligence as mechanics to thoroughly inspect the car which is what I asked for and they half assess fixed what i asked of them.

Finally found a shop in Milwaukee that is no nonsense and straight to the point. They really are experts and give customers the best advice regarding their vehicle. They're quick, personable, and do great work. I've brought 2 vehicles here in the past 3 weeks and service on both has been great!

The tech I spoke to had great customer service & made several solid recommendations for my vehicle. I needed to have a new resonator installed to my muffler. Dropped the car off at 8, was able to pick it up same day before 3:00. Pricing was standard, to-be-expected shop pricing.Overall experience was a 10/10, would recommend, would do again. Easily the best shop I've been to. I'm young and don't have a ton of experience trying different shops, but these guys listen to what you want, and actually show you what's going on under your car before they get to work. These guys were awesome! I was about to leave for a 5 hour drive when I noticed a scraping on the bottom of my car. I brought my car into the shop and within 15 minutes I was back on the road again. The best part they didn t charge me a thing! Class act guys who love their job.

Very pleased with the service and communication. They are a busy shop, you should call and get an appointment to make sure they can fit you in. The phone is ringing constantly with customers so keep that in mind when trying to reach them. I left my truck there for a few hours to make sure they had enough time to do it all right. Custom exhaust work they did looks fantastic, they contacted me prior to welding to make sure it was just how I wanted it. Would definitely go there again.Service: Exhaust

I LOVE John the muffler man. They are the only auto shop I trust. They are trustworthy, appropriate, kind, and flexible. They always have great customer service. This review is LONG overdue! My car was repaired in June 2020 by JTMM so there is that! I have a car that was involved in an accident Sept 2016 I needed everything from an axel to control arms to a sway bar. The suspension was screwed! When I say between 2016 & 2020 I ve had the same things replaced/repaired at different shops over 14 different times no exaggeration! By this point it had just over 100k miles and I didn t want to get rid of it just yet. I left my car with them and it took a few days to repair which was fine, but long story short this car has been sitting in the garage off and on since it was fixed back in 2020 lol no lie. I really only drive every few months just to be sure it still works. I ve had my fair share of driving it and the axle breaking while driving it so I never really put it on the highway until now! Last week I drove it allllllll the way to Virginia Beach just because and HONEY she is rolling like a champ. I am actually on the way back as I type! I can t thank JTMM enough! They got it right!

Quick diagnosis, full explanation of the work being done, and they never try and sell you on anything that doesn't need to be repaired.

This shop is GREAT and the employees are amazing...
