I cannot say enough great things about Al and his shop. The guy will drop everything to help me out (a repeat client). I have referred several friends and family to Al. He s kind, knowledgeable, and will do anything he can to help you figure out what the issue is with your vehicle. He s honest and a straight shooter. I never feel like as a female not knowing much about cars that I am being taken advantage of. I have shopped around a lot to different auto shops in the area until I found hermans auto. I found my mechanic!

Highly recommend Hermans Auto Clinic on Howell Ave in Milwaukee. Super friendly, down to earth owner and staff, fellow dog lover too. Dealt with my check engine light cost-efficiently and a direction on how to replace a simple gasket myself without having to come back or pay labor. Al is very helpful and very fair with his prices. He effectively repaired a leak on my muffler, which kept me from having to replace it. And just recently, he did my front brakes and I'm so happy I went to him. Highly recommend.

I could not have been happier with the level of service I received from Al at Herman's. I was traveling through Milwaukee on my way to Chicago and my alternator quit on me. My truck was stranded in Mitchell Airport and Al was able to find a clever way to get it to his shop nearby (towing was not an option!) As he knew I was from out of town, he managed to get the job done quick and me back on the road.The best part? Despite the fact I was from out of town and clearly in a jam, he charged me far less than what I expected - even less than what my typical mechanic would have charged me! I think many mechanics would have taken advantage of the situation.Last point - while I've read thousands of Google reviews, this is my first one that I am writing. Given what an outstanding experience I had at Herman's, I felt I had to say something. I only wish I lived closer to Milwaukee to use Al again.

I brought my Chevy Volt here, as it was not passing the emission testing, engine light was on. I feel like I got a very fair price, and a very honest diagnosis and repair. Extremely pleased with the service and repair. My car was repaired approximately 8 months ago, and the issue was fully resolved. I will take my car back, and I will recommend this shop to anyone!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I rarely write reviews, but I am compelled to write this one because the service I received was beyond anything I've experienced before. I was at a conference in Milwaukee when my coworker's car was in an accident. I needed someone to check out the car and repair the side mirror very quickly so that I could get my coworker back home.Not only did the shop get us in immediately, but they tested the car and repaired the mirror for no charge.They were so helpful, caring, and efficient at a time when my staff and I were under great stress. Can't recommend them enough.

Honestly, I could NOT be happier with the level of service, and money savings, we received from this shop.My wife's vehicle had an exhaust issue crop up one night. I called Herman's, he said to bring it in the next morning. I got there when he opened the next morning, and left her vehicle with him to handle it...he called a few hours later to say he was done and it cost us way less than we expected.Fantastic service, will be going back for sure!

When I saw all the glowing reviews I was a little skeptical. But Al at Hermans did a great job. Fast and inexpensive. I couldn't ask for more.

My family was passing through when we had an emergency auto repair. Al squeezed us in the next morning and had us back on the road. He was very honest and accommodating. I would highly recommend his shop. I was even referred to him by another highly rated shop in town. Thank you so much Al!

Ever heard the term, shelter in a storm ? That's Al. We showed up on a Saturday night just before closing, with a window fallen into the door and only one night in area. OMG he meant us on Sunday morning, did a temporary fix, told us how much it should cost, so we would not get ripped off and sent us on our way. They know what they are doing when it comes to cars. They will let you know what is happening with your vehicle and provide excellent service for the price. I would recommend giving this place a chance if you are having some sort of car issues.

I have always been treated with respect and pleased with the work they have done. They may not have the spit and polish of a franchise, but they are a working shop and the work is professional and accurate. To me that is the more important.

Honest guy. He could have easily ripped me off on $800.00 for an uneaded repair, but gave me an invoice for $150.00. I highly recomend Herman's.

A water hose burst on my pick up truck and i was pulling a fully loaded 6x12 trailer....luckly i was a few blocks away from this auto shop...as i was walking to the entrance ...i see a guy who looks like he works there..i explained to him my problem...he got me back on the road in about 30 minutes...and i couldnt believe the cheap cost.....I'm now a herman's customer from now on......thank you sooooo much...sir
