My Dodge Durango was in the shop for 2 months and returned with problems.Quality of repairs?2Satisfaction with customer service?2Anything could be improved? Make sure everything works as it did before service.Vehicle ready when promised? Yes2 months after dropping it off. Far to long to hold a persons car.Additional work? Yes, Took it to the dealer to have 2 repairs done, caused by your body shop at a cost of over $300. And wasting my time having to make two separate appointments to have repairs completed.Reason for return? Rear hatch wasn't lined up properly and was rubbing causing it to rust. Door locks were not working properly, antenna wasn't hooked up.Kept informed during repair process? No, When told it was getting painted, I asked if they looked at the rear hatch, mentioned when dropping it off, to be touched up with paint, I was told it was to late.Would you recommend shop to friend or family? NOReason for score given for friend/family referral? Check your work before releasing it to me. Be more reliable and follow through with what you said. When called about the door lock problem I was told to fix it myself, that there wasn't anything Gerber could do for me.And one more thing, Before taking it to Gerber Collision I had gotten 2 other estimates, both thousands less, but my insurance company would only allow Gerber to do the work with no questions asked so that's the only reason I took it to them.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Quality work. They stand by their repairs. Any issue with the work is covered by their lifetime warranty. There was an engine light on in my vehicle after picking it up. After contacting the shop, they resolved the issue without delay.Only issue on my recent repair was the delay in parts, which was not their fault...it was just a tough time to need parts for a 2015 Expedition.

I was so impressed by the service we received at Gerber Collison and Glass in Middleton! I was a bit stressed after the entire passenger side of my daughter's car was damaged. But our experience with getting it repaired went so smoothly. They worked closely with our insurance company to work out all of the details. It was a pleasure to work with Matt Keating. He kept me in the loop during the whole process with emails at least once a week. He was very knowledgeable and professional. The car looked awesome when it was done. Susan at the desk was always super friendly on the phone and in person. I would highly recommend this place for their great work, fantastic customer service and for exceeding my expectations!Services: Tires, Painting, Body & Trim

We had such a great experience with Gerber in Middleton! The car my daughter uses to get to and from school needed repair after being hit in a parking lot, and not only did Gerber do an outstanding job - looks nearly new! - but Matt K. gave some amazing customer service. After I explained that this vehicle is my daughter's way to get to school, he worked with the production (I think) department to get us moved up on the schedule a bit and have the car back to us a couple of days sooner than originally promised. I had my car in the shop for over a month with them to repair a back bumper. When I went to pick up my car I asked if there s any concerns I should know about. They told me everything was ok and running fine. The next day come to find out my car would not start. I called them and was told that when I dropped off my car to get it repaired that it wouldn t start up and I never had that happen to me and had my car for over six years. Obviously the staff left something on and the battery died. It was in perfect condition besides my back bumper. The disappointing part was the manager knew the car wasn t running but allowed me to go on the road and thought it was okay to give the car back to me and acted like nothing happened! They did not care at all when I called back. Poor business.Very disappointing!I will have to say my car was very clean in/outside. I was very impressed with that.

I worked with Matt and the communication was great throughout, the estimate and timeline were accurate, and the work done looks great. They worked with the insurance company and the whole process was smooth.Update: I brought my vehicle back in to have them check something out that they worked on previously and Nathan was quick to fit me in and adjust the issue to my satisfaction. I took my truck in for repairs after getting rear-ended. The person who hit me took care of the repair cost and I just made out my check to Gates Collision Center in Middleton because they had the best price. They did the repairs beautifully and on time and gave me a fun car to drive while mine was in the shop. Everyone was so friendly and customer-oriented but I have to give shout out to Matt Keating who was great AND he gave me a discount because I took it to their shop and gave me a break on over-priced parts. What a great Christmas present! They are awesome and I will certainly go back and recommend this place to others. Thank you!

I have had my vehicle fixed multiple times at Gates, and I am always impressed with customer service as well as the work done to the vehicle. In the past I have worked with Jr., he would keep in contact with me about the repairs and if any additional repairs were needed. Everyone has been very professional and friendly.Gates even fixed problems on my vehicle efficiently that Russ Darrow was unable to fix.I will continue to recommend Gates and return for any needed repairs.

Came in for repairs to my new car and not only was the staff friendly but they kept me updated via phone of the whole process start to finish. This is my second time with Gates and I highly reccomend them. Great service and SUPER FAST. What was originally a week to do was done in 3 days. I also used the East Madison Gates Auto Body and they are just as good. This is the place to go and the company to use. Thank you again. If I ever need repairs, Gates is for sure my #1 choice.

Grandma didn t get run over by a reindeer, she backed into my car instead. Lexus referred me to Gerber and their service was truly exceptional. The processes of intake and pick up were seamless. I received calls and email updates the entire process to keep me informed and manage my expectations. Calvin and Holly were wonderful!

I went in for ONLY an estimate after my vehicle was rear ended by a drunk driver. I'm still waiting for the driver to accept liability, so I cannot get my vehicle repaired yet. I gave absolutely no consent to modify my vehicle, yet they removed the paneling inside my trunk. The trunk is now zip-tied closed, because they weren't able to close it. I had to disconnect all interior lights to avoid draining my battery, since the open trunk is triggering the safety lights. They forced the back window open, and now it is stuck that way. My back wiper has been removed. The best part is they did not tell me they made any changes to my vehicle before I drove away. Nothing better than feeling your trunk practically flapping open when driving down the interstate.I will definitely not be bringing my business here. This was extremely unprofessional and has made the situation signifcantly more stressful.

I was not happy with how it was done and was told to bring it back within a year to make it look better. When I brought it back nine months later I was told there was no record of it being not perfect. They said there was nothing they could do about it and that estimator was no longer and she made no record of it. It actually became worse in the bumper did not fit right because they did not replace a bracket. Very very DissatisfiedService: Body & Trim

A couple months ago I messed up the bumper on my Lexus after sliding on some ice into the curb. Lexus of Madison recommended me to come here, and I had a great experience. Throughout the week when they were fixing my car, they called me a couple times to update me on how long it was going to take. A day after I got my car back, I noticed that some of the dashboard lights turned on. I called them about it, and, although they doubted it had to do with the repair, they agreed to look at it and let me borrow one of their cars (for free) for the day. It turned out it was just a coincidence (my car was low on coolant), but I really appreciated that they did their due diligence in making sure they handled the repair correctly.

My parked vehicle was sideswiped while in a parking garage and required some significant cosmetic repairs. Gerber was my insurer's preferred repair shop but underscored that I was free to chose repairs from any body shop I wished. I shopped around a bit but ultimately ended up going with Gerber in Middleton due to the professionalism and attention to detail given by my estimator Matthew Keating. The resulting repairs reflected the attention received and I couldn't be happier. Regardless of my insurers preference, I'd choose Gerber again for my body repair needs.

I highly recommend Gates as I worked with Matt Keating after my Jeep was rear ended. He worked with the person at fault insurance company, got me in when was the best for me, did an outstanding job replacing and painting my bumper, and even kept my Jeep indoors while I was on vacation to avoid the snowfall. Ask for Matt as you won t be disappointed!

A convenient "mistake" was made when quoting repairs.I got into a minor accident and brought my truck in for an insurance claim. Got the quote back and was surprised to see a list of repairs for the front right fender which was not damaged at all. All damage was in the rear of the vehicle.I called and spoke with James (Senior Service Advisor) who told me he had put those repairs into the quote by accident and it was an honest mistake (albeit a profitable one). Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't but either way it doesn't exactly build my trust.Well, Gates' loss is their competitors gain. I would just suggest reading the quote carefully before agreeing to let them do the repairs.However, I will say that they have a friendly staff and I was treated very professionally (even by James). I just don't trust that they'll do honest work.

I am not sure if it is possible to leave no stars, but that is what I will attempt in this instance...I cannot begin to tell you how horrific my experience has been with this shop. I went to Gates Collision Center SOLELY because Liberty Mutual named them as their preferred vendor (which they should entirely reconsider!) and after I got my car back after the 3RD time they "fixed" the repairs that THEY caused--The car is worse than it was when I brought it in from a minor accident. Although their employees are very nice, that does not excuse the extent of damage they caused to my vehicle.After more than a month and a half, I get my car back. During this time, I received 3 calls that the car was ready to be picked up. The first time I went there, I looked at the car and noticed that there were huge scratches all over the driver s side window, on the side panels of both the driver s and back driver s side, scratches and chips on the door trim, dents in the lower half of the door, scratches all over the door handle--This was just the exterior. Then I look inside and it was filthy. Now, I will preface this by saying that I am a clean freak That being said, my car was not dirty when I brought it in to them. I looked at the interior door panel and it was disgusting. Dark marks all over the cloth-nothing covering the seat, by the way (I have beige interior), and finally the rubber seal on the door is so worn that it is now cracking As my father and I detail all of our cars twice annually, I know the seal was not in that condition when I brought it in.When I asked them how they expected this to pass as finished, they said they didn t see any of that and that they would take care of it right away Oh, and this was a salvage door, but they transferred the interior of my door and all of its other parts over to the salvage door, so that all must have been there... Wrong, I don t treat my car like it s a piece of trash, and what do you mean you gave me a door from a junk yard!?! Well it is supposed to be same model year or newer in similar condition. After this conversation, they assured me that they would fix everything and that my car should never have been considered fixed in its current state. Fine, so I leave.A week later I get a call back. There is a sensor they can t seem to fix; they need to order an additional part Well, a few days goes by, that part that they ordered doesn t work. It was the right part just didn t fit (Not sure how that is a possibility if you ordered the right part) so they need to order another one. Few more days go by... FINALLY, IT S DONE! Wrong I get there and inspect the car again and there are chips all over the bottom panel of the door and a chip in the top corner sure to rust, come Wisconsin winter We re sorry ma am, we didn t see this in the inspection we ll get it taken care of right away Another 5 days goes by and they call to tell me that the car is finally ready. They again assured me that there was nothing wrong this time, they went over things with a fine tooth comb. NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. I get in my car, it smells, there is paint spatter on the seat and on the floor of the car-black spatter as well. Scratches covering the interior door handle. The steering wheel hardly turns (which is a safety issue!) and there are small chips all over the driver s side of my windshield!!!!I am now working with my insurance company to file a formal complaint. I will be sending a letter to the Better Business Bureau and if all of that wasn t enough, now I need to take my car elsewhere to see what other damage were done as a result of their repairs. I have never seen a business operate like this and I would not trust them with anything! This was the most horrible experience and display of supposed quality and guaranteed work, that I have ever seen. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Find someone that actually knows what they are doing!

Please note that this is when it was Gates in Middleton Wi. My experience with Gerber at a different location is nothing but horrible experience at East Madison locationNothing but positive remarks. Brett and Jr were so easy to deal with and accommodating. Excellent quality goes to the body guys.. NICE JOB..Second experience with them and still extremely happy. Excellent Overall..

Stopped in today for an estimate on a small paintless dent repair. The staff was very friendly. They gave me a great price and were able to slip me right in and repaired my dent in less than an hour while I waited and watched tv in the Air conditioned waiting area. The repair looked perfect when done. Awesome job!!! Thank you!!!

I've had an front end done there at gates in Middleton on my old srt8 charger, excellent work done looked brand new also had a windshield replaced on my winter car , again awesome repair done and now I have to get my hellcat in soon for a tiny dent on the side from a flying rock or something while driving on the highway. I never let anyone but dodge touch my hellcat for anything but I trust gates in Middleton will take care of my baby, so I guess I'll be calling their awesome CSR Robbi to schedule an appointment for paintless dent repair, anyway I highly recommend you check out Gates in Middleton. 6/1/17 Had another repair done at Gates in Middleton and I swear my car looks brand new again , this is my #1 go to shop for body work, thanks again ,I really do appreciate the great work and service you provide

This is my second time using Gates Collisions, and they're very professional, my car looks like new after the repairs, they use high quality parts for everything, my car has been always on time and the staff is very friendly and helpful, thanks to Nick for helping out and make everything smooth. Gates went above and beyond to fix a problem that arose after an initial fix was implemented elsewhere. Not only did they fit me in quickly, they also worked to identify the most cost-effective option for the fix, and then the actual installation took about half the time anticipated! I hope I don't have to come back (:>) but will if need be. Thank you!
