I have to say that the tires are awesome, I got them for a very reasonable price, and the installation was done very well. Unfortunately I had to give two stars because the young girl at the service desk was absolutely awful.I got stuck at work a little late, and knew I would be running a little late for my 6:30pm appointment. I called ahead of time to see if it would be ok if I m running 10-15 minutes late or if I should reschedule as I live an hour away and didn t want to make a 2 hour round trip if I wouldn t be able to get in that evening. After calling SEVERAL times with no one answering the phone I decided to drive that way. On the way I made SEVERAL more phone calls to insure my spot with no answer. After arriving in the parking lot, I tried calling the auto department one more time to ask where to put my vehicle with again no answer.. so I found a parking spot and walking inside where I arrived at an unattended auto center desk with phone endlessly ringing at exactly 6:45. A young girl finally walked up to the desk, and said since it was 17 minutes after my appointment they gave my spot away and could no longer help me.I find it absolutely RIDICULOUS that my appointment was just given away to a walk in without a phone call to check in with me or any attention whatsoever to their incoming calls. This young girl couldn t have cared less while I explained to her the situation of how I don t live nearby and tried calling MANY times to insure my spot. She just nodded and gave me the fakest customer service I understand but we can t help you response.Thank goodness a gentleman from the auto center ( a technician maybe?) came up and said they would get my car in that night. Unfortunately they did put me at the end of the line which forced me to wait in store for over two hours.. which I still think is grossly unjust .. but at least I was able to get my tires after all that.Y all really need someone more qualified and professional working the auto center desk.

I bought tires at Costco for both of my vehicles. I don't have a problem with the tires themselves its the free tire rotation appointments that have been subpar. Yesterday I took my car in for my free 6000 mile rotation. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. That was fine as I always browse the store while I wait. I completed my shopping early and took a seat in the food area and waited for the phone call to tell me my service was done. At about the hour and 15 minute mark I decided to go to the tire desk and check on the status of my tires. The guy asked for my name and said he would go back and check. Turns out my car had been done for awhile but nobody had called me to tell me this. I sat there wasting my evening for who knows how long because they did not tell me my car was ready. If this had been the first time that had happened I would be annoyed but would let it slide. But this wasn't - it was the second time! The other annoying thing is every time I get my tires rotated there, my car tire inflation alert system gets messed up. Within a few miles of driving away I get the low tire pressure alert on my dash. Sometimes I can fix it by using the recalibrate feature, but last night I could not. So now I either have to go back in to have them adjust this or I have to stop and check each tire to see if they are low. They were just fine before the appointment so obviously something was screwed up during the rotation process. I will think twice about purchasing tires at Costco in the future.

If you are buying new tires or having them replaced, you should not do so at Costco.Price: Middle of the road 5/10Service: Awful, the time it took to replace the tires was twice what they initially told me. Additionally, they replaced my lugg nuts without asking me ahead of time. I asked them to take the new lug nuts off since I didn t want to have my lugg nuts replaced and just wanted new tires installed, but they said they were closing, they would have to keep my car overnight, and that I would have to pick it up the next day.

I was a little nervous based on the previous reviews, but I found a great deal on tires online and ordered them. It took two weeks for them to arrive, but I was able to book an appointment for installation right away. The appointment at 4 pm on a Friday was done in 30 minutes. All around a great experience!

Miserable service. Told it would take 30 to 45 minutes. An hour later told that they were "just pulling my car in". I was left sitting with a cold pizza for an additional 45 minutes before it was ready. Overall, expect 1:45 hr.

We were told that they could not patch had to replace, couldn't approve a job over the phone, needed to change all four tires but were out of normal tires (only have the high end option), and lastly that the nuts were so stripped that they couldn't get the tire off. Went to Honda - patched in ten minutes. Never going back to these grifters and neither should you.

Bought tires and had them installed at Costco in Middleton. They were understaffed at the check-in so it took a while but the person was working as quickly as they could. Left my car and went to work because I hate waiting for services as even oil changes can take longer than they say. They called 2.5 hours afterward to say it was done and I picked up after work. Again, one person checking everyone out so again a wait so it would be nice if they could get more staff.Overall everything was good! If you can drop off and pick up at your convenience, that's the way to go.

Amazing service!! We had a non-recoverable flat tire and Joey worked above and beyond to connect the team to our situation and the entire group took such great take care to get us through on a very busy day. Thorough, thoughtful, and timely group. We were blown away how quickly they were able to complete the service.

I'd add a little bit different experience to the above reviews. I actually saw the bad reviews right before my appointment (but after I shopped the tires online) and was debating with myself whether I should return the tires and go to firestone or dealership instead. However there was a coupon applied with my tire order that cannot be retrieved back so I decided to see if I'm lucky enough here. I arrived about 15 minutes earlier than my appointment on a Saturday afternoon and find there's only one person in line for the tire center (which is a different line from the general Costco front desk), and waited for like 5 minutes until I was helped by the service people. They checked my info and let me drop the keys there and told me it would be about 1 - 1.5 hours. I received the call saying it's ready in 40 minutes, almost right after I checked out after my regular grocery shopping at Costco. The process was pretty fluent, but I'm sure that probably just out of luck. I didn't find problems like air pressure after they changed my tires, but will keep an eye on that and update the review once I think something changed my feeling about the experience.

I wish there was option to give 0 rating. It took them 3.5 hrs to install tires. Just be aware they are not even experienced to install tires. One of the tire was not fitted properly and next day I have to go to them to fix it. I was told by the technician lot of new people there when I asked why it was not checked. I would recommend not to come to this place for tire installation.

wait for more than 2.5 hours new tires installed. The staff told me it will be done in one hour. Wish I read the review before my purchase. only advantage is that costco will have some deals on tires from time to time. the cost of low price is very bad service.

Excellent quality and price on the tires I got there. I had shopped around and Costco had the best deal by far. They were competently installed and have performed well, including a cross-country trip and some wintry weather.Service is slow, however, and getting in contact with them by phone is a challenge. This morning, I called immediately at their 10am opening time to get my tire rotation scheduled, and gave up after two attempts that were bounced by the voicemail system. About an hour later I was able to get through and schedule my appointment. The challenge is worth it for me, because of the value of the deal, but someone who prized their time might want to spend more and wait less.

They had my tires in stock and I made my appointment. My car went in 15 minutes before my appointment. I was told it would take an hour to an hour and half and they would call me. After two hours I finally went and asked how much longer and low and behold it was 20 minutes early, they forgot to call me. So I sat in Costco for a little over two hours. Then I came back to get my lug nuts checked and I proceeded to tell them my tire pressure sensor lit up after I got my tires. They said it will go away. It's been 3 days, still on and pressure is fine. Going up tomorrow and having them check it out again. This sensor was not lit when I brought my car in.

Trust all these reviews - no price savings is worth this terrible experience. Ordered my tires in early November, never was notified they arrived. When I showed up at 450 for my 5pm appointment, they took me keys and said they would notify me when they finished. When I finally checked in at 630 after hearing nothing for over an hour and a half, they told me they were JUST STARTING on it. And it s going to take another hour at least. Wish I could take my car elsewhere for better service. The tire staff are hard working but the manager NEEDS to hire more people so they can actually honor their appointments.

These reviews are absolutely representative of the incredibly bad service provided by the tire department. I only purchase tires at Costco because of the sales and warranty, but those perks are almost entirely offset by the headache you will get by trying to get the tires ordered and put on. I literally spent 20+ minutes and ~7 separate phone calls calling and being placed on hold (or being hung up on) just to figure out if my car was ready for pick up. Given how good Costco is with their customer service, it s totally baffling how poor the tire center functions. The workers are generally pleasant, but there are just not enough workers in the department to offer any level of consistent customer service. Very disappointing.

I m used to the 1 hr + wait to get my tires rotated, but it s typically because I don t have an appointment. This time, I scheduled my appt. 2-weeks out as it was the first availability, they informed me they were behind and that it would take longer than normal. 2-hrs later I checked in only to find they hadn t even started my car yet. Complete lack of respect for their customers time, cancel if you have to.

Just don't. I ordered tires online and they arrived at Costco within a week. Couldn't get an appt for an additional 2 weeks (even though website encourages walk-ins I was told in person they don't do them). Finally get to my appt 15 minutes early, wait in line for 30+ minutes so I am late, drop the car and leave. I get a call 45 minutes after that telling me they are the wrong tires for my car. And no they don't have anything else in stock. So now I can order new tires, wait 3-4 weeks and get them installed. No thanks, I'm going elsewhere. Anywhere else.

Wish I could give 0 stars. For how much I like Costco this will be the last time I use their tire center. I showed up 15 min early for my appt. Waited in line for 20 minutes, then was told it would be 2 hour wait. Unfortunately my husband is out of town so I didn t have a choice but to wait. I killed time shopping and reading a book. Checked in again after 2.5 hours (after another 15 minute wait in line) and was told my car hadn t even brought in yet and it would be at least another hour. Seriously?! What s even the point of having an appointment time?! The employee was pleasant and apologetic but this is an abysmal excuse for a service center. Unreal. They should know the winter and spring tire change seasons are busier and staff accordingly. Totally unacceptable service.Update. I ve been stranded at this god forsaken store for 4 hours and my car still isn t done

I checked in for my appointment more than the recommended 15 minutes early and was told it would be an hour and a half, tops. 2 hours later, I'm still here. I just asked when I would be able to leave and they said that it would be another 30 minutes. What's the point of making an appointment if my time isn't going to be respected? I run a business that relies on my timeliness and this is completely unacceptable.I will never be returning to use their auto services.

I would highly encourage you to go somewhere else to purchase your tires. Whatever cost savings I had were cancelled out by having to go back 4 times so they could get things right. The whole process has been extremely confusing due to poor communication. I spent more than 5 minutes on hold several times just trying to make an appointment. The level of customer service at the tire center is not up to the level that the rest of the store is. I purchased these tires at the end of July, and I finally ended up taking my car to the dealership. I paid them to install sensors and reset my TPMS system- six weeks of dealing with Costco and I had enough. What a huge pain this whole experience has been!

Ordered tires in late November and received confirmation a few days later they arrived at the store. I was told I would receive a call for install and never did. Over a week later I tried getting a hold of the tire department. They never answered their phone. I called multiple times over a few day period and finally got a hold of someone after the admin office transferred me. I was told by three different people my tires did not come in and they would look into it and call me back. Never got a call back. I had delivery confirmation that the tires were delivered. I eventually did receive a call back to confirm my tires were there. Got a great deal, but bad customer service. In person the tire department staff was friendly.

Horrible service! Long wait time just to get anything done here. You can schedule appointment, but even then their service may not even be on schedule. I like Costco for everything else, just not their tire service. It is not worth the headache. If you buying new tires, get their price match and go somewhere else. Time is money, nobody has time to wait over 2 hours just for a tire rotation or just to fix a flat.

I was skeptical with all these bad reviews , but now I saw for myself how slow they actually are.I showed up at 10am for an appointment to find 4 people waiting and 1 employee. The others weren t there yet. Multiple workers slowly walked in around 10:05-10:10 with backpacks and were told to hurry up and change so they can help .One of the people just jumped onto a computer and checked me in while still wearing his backpack and in street clothes Very unorganized, I never received a call that my car was done after waiting for 5 hours .When I showed up to pick my car up it was another 15 min wait with 4 people in line and 1 employee .They also entered the serial numbers into the system incorrectly so Bridgestone wouldn t have covered my warranty if I didn t catch this mistake.Buyer beware .

Great prices and service. Appointment is a must because always busy. Tires may need to be ordered ahead of time. Checkout is slow because of old software and different systems for inventory and purchase. Plan a leisurely trip to Costco while you wait

Horrible service! They do not stand by the warranty on the tires. I bought a set of 4 tires and 3 of them leak air. I have returned at least 4 times and they said that they reset the bead, but the tires continue to leak air. They said I'll have to go elsewhere because they don't know what else to do to fix the leaks. After explaining this to the tire center manager, he said "you got the short end of the stick". When I asked what Costco would do to fix the situation, he told me that Costco would do nothing. In other words, the warranty is useless. These are run-flat tires and the staff seemed to be ill-equipped to deal with these, even though they insisted that I needed these in order to legally drive my car, because I don't have a spare. Later, I found out that statement was false. Note that I did not have any problems with my wheels or tires before Costco, but now I do. In addition, after I picked up my car, my brake light came on, which had not been on prior to my trip to Costco, so now I have another issue to deal with at the mechanic. Costco takes no responsilbility for this either. I will never buy tires from Costco again.

Worked with Barrett. He didn't look at me once during his interactions with me. Shoved paperwork in front of me and told me to sign. When I identified a problem he just said it will take a while and walked away. He then started helping other customers and left me standing there. Apparently he was done with me. The service here is awful. My other car needs tires next year. I will downgrade our membership from Executive to Gold and buy my tires elsewhere. Costco management should start paying attention to their customer review section.

Stay away from Costco Tire Center. Besides the unfortunate fact that the Middleton Costco experience has been abysmal for the past 3 years, the tire center experience will in itself make you want to cancel your membership all together. They will fight you on your road hazard warranty, if you're even able to get them on the phone. You won't get an answer when you call. I have seen the service advisory literally pick up the phone and just hang it up to avoid having to talk to people. If you want the same prices, better service, and a better experience go to Discount Tire. Costco the way you used to know it doesn't exist anymore. This is the new Costco.

I had a great experience at this location. The technician who installed my tires was thorough and polite. Setting up my appointment was easy.

Wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. THE WORST! Validating the other reviews..takes a long time to get appt, drop off takes forever walking back and forth multiple times to inside desk. Had a noon appt, told 1.5-2 hrs.to install tires. Couldn't find me in the system at first and then verified I had a noon appt... When car was done late was told in a nasty tone appt was actually at 1:00. Funny I hadn't even mentioned anything about the initial appt time. What a scam. Lots of hassle and time, took all day and didn't save $. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
