Had my battery light come on while driving on the interstate, pulled off at the first exit available and made it to O'Reilly's where they tested the batteries and alternator. The alternator failed and so I called Northside Auto hoping (fingers crossed!!) they could do an emergency alternator repair. Thankfully, they could but just as I was getting into the truck to drive there, it died. Northside Auto came to me and jumped my truck enough to be able to drive it to their shop, where they quickly got the repair done for me. I appreciate their above and beyond help so much!!! I was traveling with my elderly parents and their kindness and skill definitely helped me make the best of the situation I was handed. Thank you so very much!!!!

We were in town about 3 hours from home at our family cabin for the weekend and came up with a flat. We stopped by the closest place that happened to come with a recommendation from my boyfriend s grandmother. They were able to facilitate helping us fix the flat with no questions asked and ZERO wait time today. So grateful for your service!!!Service: Tires

Had my vehicle in to have a new fuel pump put in. It was last minute but he was able to squeeze me in and the price was fair. I had asked to look at the front end and why it was squeaking he said he did and everything looked fine but the rubber seals on my control arms and ball joints are all cracked and not holding grease. It's an obvious issue he said was looked at and hadn't been.

I had an emergency while traveling. My temperature gauge kept rising. I called the shop nearest to me. Logan was able to fit me in an emergency, which I am very grateful for because I had my four-year-old with me. I thought maybe it was my thermostat but after he ran a scan and did a pressure test we found out it was my water pump. I didn t have enough money with me that day to do the repairs so he graciously talked me off with coolant and I set up an appointment to come back to see him in two days. Logan was extremely helpful and caring. Even though he s not located in our city we will be using him for our car repairs.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

The Northside team was great to work with. I had an older truck needing lots of work and could not spend a ton of money to keep it running. They quickly performed only the repairs needed, and came in on-budget.

Our car broke down near Merrill, WI and Mike's Garage was recommended to us and boy were we happy with the outcome. To start, Cheryl and Mike, owners, got our vehicle into their shop within an hour. Cheryl graciously gave us a ride to a local restaurant where we could wait for the repairs. Within two hours Mike had the car fixed and we were back on the road. Both Cheryl and Mike were friendly, helpful , and courteous. Their rates were very reasonable. I highly recommend this family run business for auto repair.

I was headed back home from Rhinelander and my car needed immediate attention so I was driving around looking for auto places to fix my car right way because I live 2.5 hours away and I called one auto shop and they couldn't help, so then I called Northside Auto and they said they could help right away. That was just the beginning of the best experience I have had with an auto shop. I got there and they found the issue but unfortunately didn't have the part. The owner called around to see if anyone else had the part and they didn't. The next nearest place was Wausau and he gave me two options he could fix it tomorrow or he could have someone drive to get the part. I needed to get home that day so I asked if he could have someone get the part and his employee drove to get the part all the way to Wausau. The owner and his employee stayed two hours past closing to help me. Not only were they helpful but they were patient and kind! The owner of the business sat in the office with me and talked while we waited and it made my day because I felt like they genuinely cared! I am a junior at northland college in Ashland Wisconsin. I am from Illinois and on my 7 hour drive my alternator gave our. I found this small family owned mechanics and I've never been to a more kinder and really reliable small town mechanics. Sheryl the wife of the owner mike is amazing and super helpful. They had all my parts and were able to fix it within 2 hours. If you need something fixed at a good price by great people and be treated with lots kindness go to mikes.

Our car stalled off of Hwy 51 on a Friday afternoon 3 hours from our home in the Madison area. A woman in the BP we crawled to, called out, "Mike's garage". She was an angel in disguise. We knew we needed a new alternator, since we exhausted all the other possibilities. Not only did the garage go out of its way to find the part, but offered a great towing recommendation. Nick managed to squeeze us in with Alisha's help before the shop closed. We were on our way back home by 5pm. Located in the quaint town of Merrill-this is a diamond in the rough.Service: Electrical repair

I brought my 1994 Mercury to Mikes garage with cruise control issues. Mikes garage was able to diagnose to issue and kept me informed via text message through out the process. They diagnosed the issue I had, but were unable to find the part due to my vehicles age. When I picked up my vehicle, the technician informed me of the issue, and showed me the part needed. I was able to source the part later on, which fixed my cruise control. I would highly recommend Mikes garage, and I will keep them in mind in the future.

My truck was rigged with the clutch safety switch and didn t start, I took the truck to Mikes garage and got a new safety switch. An they did a amazing job on the truck. Absolutely the best service that I have had when it comes to vehicle repair. I have gone to other shops that would not be up front and honest about repairs but I didn't find that here! Absolutely would recommend anyone to go there!!!
